I AM WARNING YOU GUYS RIGHT NOW. DO NOT BOOK HERE. This place is in the ghetto. The owners are extremely rude and incapable of communicating with their customers. I honestly wouldn't trust parking my car at their motel. There was trash flying everywhere in the outskirts. Even though you're able to book their hotel by a third party company and when you get to the hotel, they do not accept bookings from any third party booking companies such as Expedia, travelid90, orbitz, etc. I'm seriously so angry at all the trouble I have to go through to get my money back and also the woman who didn't even check if we had reservations at their motel. When me and my friend walked up and said we had reservations, the elderly woman kept saying "No reservations!" And that's all she knew how to say. She did not even check her computer, or help find our reservations. I'm not sure if she was lazy; prejudice; or whatever. But she seriously should not be manning the front desk because she is the cause for lost customers. I ended up booking at Hilton instead. Never going to try contributing to a smaller establishment ever again because seriously not worth the headache.

Quite spot in the hood clean and all staff friendly caught a flat tire on the way in from Vegas my arrival time is supposed to be between 12:00 and 1:00 management said he'd wait up for us I got there at 2:30 and there he was the place is very quiet you can't hear anything once you're inside the room my go-to place when I come to visit family in Hawthorne

THEY MADE ME PAY TWICE!!!! DONT BOOK THIS PLACE! My friend booked this place through Expedia and we stayed for a night. The next morning she left early because she had to catch a flight so it was just me before we checked out. While I was getting ready to leave the front desk called and said I gotta go downstairs now they need to talk to me. I said okay can you give me like 10 minutes because I'm getting ready to leave? They were like no no no u gotta come downstairs now it's just one minute. So I said okay but like tf were they rushing me for this customer service is 0/100. I came down stairs they said your friend didn't pay so you have to. I said she paid through Expedia. They say no they don't do Expedia so it didn't go through blabla. His attitude was rude so I started getting loud and he got louder. Like holyshit no wonder this is a 1-star hotel cuz it definitely doesn't deserve another? And the adaucity to be rude to customers. They will probably always have business though because it's in LA. I hope the owner knows how many peoples days he has ruined by giving ppl a shit attitude. Anyways it shud be $125 a night we ended up paying $210 ish. Still trying to get my money back. Not to mention the streets was so loud at night I couldn't fall asleep.

We had a pleasant stay at this motel over the memorial day weekend. The room we had was the "premium" room which came with the mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer and what I would consider upgraded fixtures and more than the basic satellite TV package. The a/c unit worked like a charm and there was never any issue with running out of hot water at any time. The room was always super clean and freshly stocked with new towels and bathroom amenities. The service was great. Any interaction with the staff was pleasant and quick. For those worried about security/safety, the motel is neatly built so there is only one entrance/exit. Spotlights light up the enclosed parking lot at night and the windows are all facing the parking lot. It may provide an additional sense of security to those worried about the location. I've read many reviews saying this is located in a bad part of town with "thugs" and drug dealers. I did not find that to be the case. Many people were walking on the streets and there were cars lined on both sides of the streets in the neighborhoods. I come from a smaller town and just assumed that was normal for the amount of people crammed into this gigantic city. I didn't find there to be any risk or safety concerns while we were out and about. The only issue we had was the stiffness of the bed and the size of the room being on the small side. This made it interesting when trying to get our toddler down for bed. We expected a bit larger room for the price but other than that the motel was great. Overall, this was a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again should we return to this area for a visit.

John the front desk manager is rude and unprofessional. I made a reservation for tonight through booking.com and the price was 10. It was a last minute deal and I thought I got lucky. 2 minutes after the reservation john called and literally laughed at me heavily making the reservation. This was totally unneeded and awful customer service. Please find somewhere else to stay.

The rooms are very clean, and nicely decorated. Seems like it was recently renovated. We arrived late, but the check in was quick and easy.

For the area, and the price, this motel was better than expected. The manager is very friendly and helpful, and the room we stayed in was clean with nothing broken. Good free wifi, a roomy working fridge, and the TV was up-to-date with more than just basic channels. Although the room was on the smaller side (one bed) the bathroom was unexpectedly roomy. The parking lot is small, but there appeared to be just enough spaces for everyone staying there because we got in very late one night and there was a spot left. Although I wouldn't plan to walk anywhere from the motel, it's a close drive or cab ride to where we were going so it worked out nicely. If you need to stay in this area on a budget, this is the place to stay!

This hotel stole my money. I booked a reservation on Expedia.com, and upon my arrival (around 2 a.m.) a woman told me that there were no rooms available. I explained that I booked a reservation online, and she said that's impossible because there are no rooms. I later found out that I was charged for the room and the hotel recorded me as a no-show. Upon calling the hotel the manager was very rude, and would not let me speak. He claimed that I was lying. When I told him to check his security cameras so that he can see I was at his front desk, he refused and hung up on me. The owners of this hotel are obviously very cruel.

This place was horrible. Two friends and I spent last night here. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot you could tell the managers did not want is here. They were rude and very unprofessional, and that's just the beginning. Of the problem. Then one of my friends requested extra blankets and pillows, for which they charged us TWENTY DOLLARS!! yet we never received the items we requested. Then we get up to the room and it had a strong bleach smell. And when we pulled back the "comforter" on the bed there was no fitted sheet just two top sheets. NEVER STAY HERE.

I stayed at this motel over the weekend and unfortunately I forgot my wedding rings in the desk mounted on to the wall. I have called numerous times to see if they've found them and no one answered the phone. I called hotels.com where we booked through and they were able to get through and gave me an alternate phone number. I called and was ignored from that phone multiple times as well. I called from my husbands phone where they answered immediately. It was a male who answered and told me they found nothing in the room and hung up on me. I'm almost positive they have my wedding rings and do not want to return them now. If anyone has a heart and these people just didn't do a very good job of looking and you happen to stay in room 101 and come across a black Kay jewelers box with a wedding band and engagement ring PLEASE contact me.

After 5 weeks travelling through US-West we were surprised about the cleanliness. The laminate floor instead of carpet was a big difference for myself, as I am allergic to dust. This was the only motel in the past 5 weeks with no sneezing.

Holiday Inn is one of IHG Hotels & Resorts' key brands — part of what IHG calls its “Essentials Collection”— and participates in its IHG One Rewards hotel loyalty program .

In 2007, IHG decided to give the Holiday Inn brand a makeover, elevating its standards to a level that the customer of today wants. It is spending more than $1 billion to invest in the product, which includes overhauling every single Holiday Inn around the world — a process that is still ongoing.

The result aims to make the Holiday Inn brand appeal to a new generation of travelers, with special attention given to creating a more uniform experience across both new and existing properties.

The Holiday Inn dates back to 1952 and started as a pioneer in hotel services, offering new conveniences like free parking, free stays for children, swimming pools, and extra amenities like cribs and telephones. Today, these are all expected perks, so how can the new Holiday Inn stand out from the pack?

How to know if a Holiday Inn is renovated to new standards

If you’re staying in a renovated hotel with the new Holiday Inn experience, you can expect more open spaces, new open restaurant and bar concepts, adaptable meeting space and more modern accommodations.

The new open lobby combines the restaurant, bar and hotel concierge with more coworking space to create a lounge environment where people can gather outside of their room.

These updates are in line with what other hotels in the midscale/mid-tier, full-service category are doing.

Features in the new-concept guest rooms include:

A welcome nook with space for keys, a hook for coats and a charging port. The brand describes this as what many people may have in their own home’s entryway.

Moveable desks and the ability to work with a laptop or other device in many areas of the room rather than just at a single desk.

Upgraded bedding.

Blackout shades.

Upgraded shower facilities.

True to its origins, kids 11 and under still eat free in Holiday Inn restaurants, assuming an accompanying adult pays for a meal.

According to IHG, 50% of its hotels in the U.S. will be renovated by 2025 — with its first new-build prototype opening early next year as well.

In Europe, the majority of Holiday Inn hotels have completed the new open-lobby renovations. Another new amenity for European Holiday Inn hotels is a to-go coffee station, featuring Starbucks.

Push aside any previous thoughts you had about the brand. IHG’s efforts are meant to upgrade the brand to be full-service offerings that cater to a variety of travelers, not just families, roadside overnights or business travelers. While Holiday Inns may not be the most expensive in each destination, they are not meant to be a budget offering.
