Things to Consider when Renting an RV in Las Vegas

When considering a Las Vegas RV rental , you’re going to have many different types of RVs, motorhomes, campers, and travel trailers to choose from.

Depending on the type of trip you are taking to or from Las Vegas, Nevada, you’ll want to choose an RV for rent that includes the amenities you’ll need for you, your friends, or your family and one that will work inside the RV park you’ll be staying.

Remember: RV rentals from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, to New York, are in high demand, especially between Memorial Day and Labor Day, so you’ll want to book your RV for rent in advance.

What Types of RVs Can You Rent Near Las Vegas?

When choosing the right rental car or RV for your next adventure to downtown Las Vegas, you should consider a few things – mainly deciding which kind of RV will fit you and your family the best.

Class A Motorhomes

Class A motorhomes  are typically the largest and most luxurious option for RV rentals. They offer plenty of space for all your belongings and amenities, such as full bathrooms, kitchens, entertainment centers, and slide-outs that can significantly expand living areas. The cost of Class A motorhomes is generally higher than other RV types due to their expansive size and range of features.

Class B Motorhomes

Class B motorhomes  (also known as camper vans) provide an economical way to travel in style without breaking the bank. These smaller rigs offer great fuel economy while providing enough room for two or a small family on vacation. Yet, if you’re after something more lavish, these Class B motorhomes may not be the perfect option for you as they might lack some of the features present in larger rigs like Class A’s.

Class C Motorhomes

Class C motorhomes  are recreational vehicles (RV) built on a truck or van chassis and have a distinctive over-the-cab sleeping area. It is usually smaller than a Class A motorhome but larger than a Class B van conversion. Class C motorhomes are typically equipped with basic amenities such as a kitchenette, bathroom, and sleeping areas, making them popular among families and small groups. They are easy to drive and park and can be used for a variety of purposes, from weekend getaways to extended road trips.

Remember: RV rentals in Vegas can be a great choice to enjoy the outdoors with luxury and ease, from Class A Motorhomes to Travel Trailers – each one providing various sizes and features for your journey. Best time of year to visit Las Vegas

Just keep in mind that summers can be extremely hot (often reaching 110°F or higher). The shoulder seasons of spring and fall, on the other hand, offer more moderate temperatures for outdoor activities.

Parking in Las Vegas

Renting a motorhome in Las Vegas is all fun and games… until you need to park in the city. Fortunately, you can find relatively cheap open-air parking with no height restrictions at various casinos.

The Plaza Hotel and Casino, for example, has an oversized parking area for both hotel and non-hotel guests. There’s also super convenient RV parking at Circus Circus, which is the only RV park on the Strip. As for parking outside of the city, all National and State Parks offer RV parking for multiple days. Just remember that in peak season, parking at various natural landmarks can fill up quickly, so make sure to arrive early.

Campgrounds near Las Vegas

Camping in and around Las Vegas is a remarkable experience. Just beyond the city’s vibrant lights, you’ll find a host of RV-friendly campgrounds surrounded by natural beauty.

The Lake Mead National Recreation Area offers diverse landscapes and lakeside camping spots. Valley of Fire State Park, renowned for its red sandstone formations, accommodates RVs at Atlatl Rock and Arch Rock campgrounds.

Our pick of the bunch for anyone renting a camper van in Las Vegas to explore the Grand Canyon is Mather campground. Not only does it offer lots of privacy (despite being quite popular), but it’s also close to hiking trails, such as the scenic Rim Trail, as well as shuttle bus services to various lookout spots that offer sweeping views over this majestic natural wonder.
