Well planned and Zuhair was a passionate and caring quide-greatly appreciated the hike he offered on the free day-it was excellent climbing up and down off the beaten edge path in Petra. The predays in Ammon lodging was way too expensive at $132/nite even though I booked through Explore. When I added a last nite more reasonable at $67/nite. Loved eating dinner out together but way too expensive-12jd a person. When we later went out to eat on Rainbow Street the total bill for 3p was only 15jd and the food was exceptional ????, best we had in Jordan. The chef that showed us how to cook a meal did not speak English so he could not share how they cooked or stories. Zuhair stepped in when asked and offered good information about eating in Jordan. The transfer and visa on the early day we arrived was great service!! It would be cheaper to use Uber for transfer back to airport then hotel arranged. Overall Jordan trip was one of adventure and learning, so thankful to meet beautiful people in a historic country!

Unforgettable Jordan

The tour allowed us to get to know the main places in Jordan and have a complete vision of the country. To get to Lot's Cave, the guide suggested doing it with a car, but when getting off it, we had to climb more than 200 steps on foot, of which the guide did not know because he had never been there and it is an important fact to mention for those with reduced mobility. In Betania we spent more than 40 minutes in a souvenir shop but later on the Jordan River the guide said that we didn't have time to see the Orthodox church. We were able to enter at the insistence of the group. We were not told that we could dive into the Jordan River to bring towels and change clothes, other tourists did. The visit to Jerash was very interesting and surprising for the conservation of the ruins. In the Wadi Rum camp it would have been enough to prepare a handbag. This would have avoided loading and unloading the suitcases of all passengers, speeding up the transfer. The camel ride was 45 minutes according to the itinerary but only of 15 according to the guide. Given the claim of several passengers with the agency, it was carried out as indicated. In the Dead Sea, a brief explanation of how to apply the mud to take advantage of its properties would have been good. Excellent Holiday Inn hotel on the Dead Sea. /=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/=/= El tour nos permitió conocer los principales lugares de Jordania y tener una visión completa del país. Para llegar a la Cueva de Lot el guía sugirió hacerlo con un auto pero al bajar del mismo hubo que subir a pie más de 200 escalones de los cuales el guía no sabía porque nunca había ido y es un dato importante mencionar para aquellas personas con movilidad reducida. En Betania estuvimos más de 40 minutos en un negocio de souvenirs pero después en el río Jordán el guía dijo que no teníamos tiempo para ver la iglesia ortodoxa. Pudimos entrar ante la insistencia del grupo. No nos avisaron que podíamos sumergirnos en el río Jordán como para llevar toallas y ropa para cambiarse, otros turistas lo hicieron. La visita a Jerash resultó muy interesante y sorprendente por la conservación de las ruinas. En el campamento de Wadi Rum hubiera sido suficiente preparar un bolso de mano. Esto hubiera evitado el bajar y subir las valijas de todos los pasajeros, agilizando el traslado. El viaje en camello era de 45 minutos según el itinerario pero solo de 15 según el guía. Ante el reclamo de varios pasajeros con la agencia, se realizó de acuerdo a lo indicado. En el Mar Muerto hubiera estado bien una breve explicación de cómo colocarse el barro para aprovechar sus propiedades. Excelente el hotel Holiday Inn en el Mar Muerto.

This is a great tour. Fantastic way to see the highlights of Jordan couple of longish bus transfers c3hrs but they are unavoidable. The cycling whilst not long distances is tiring due to the heat and some of the climbs. But the support team ensure you get plenty of snacks and water. Yes you need to be fit to enjoy the tour but it's not the tour. Great trip go for it.

A trip to Aqaba is always a fun and leisurely experience for travelers and visitors to Jordan. As a coastal city with a population of 140,000, the city has a strategic location at the northeastern tip of the Red Sea.

This beautiful seaside resort of Aqaba is an ideal location for fun and therapeutic and leisurely activities. The main attraction is the Red Sea itself with its stunning coral reefs, combined with incredible and unique underwater life.

The city was called Ayla in ancient times, which is a Semitic name written in historical sources in several different ways; Aila, Ailana, Elana, Haila, Ailath, Elath and Wayla. The exact origin of name is disputed, some argue that it comes from the Hebrew root Ayl which is also the root for the word Elah, meaning Pistacia tree. While others argue it is named after the term Ayl that appears in the ancient Mesopotamian poem called the Epic of Gilgamesh. Aqaba gained its name during the Mamluk era, which means ‘Obstacle’ in Arabic, due to the high mountains surrounding the city and the bumpy roads leading to it.

Surrounded by the high mountains and making it difficult to get to, gave it its name Aqaba (meaning ‘obstacle’), the city was previously known with other names such as Ayla, Haila, or Elah.

Visitors to Aqaba enjoy Scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, waterskiing, or just relaxing at the beach. Water temperatures are warm, the weather is almost always pleasant and the facilities are world class. The town of Aqaba also has several key attractions for visitors including museums, historic locations, outstandingly delicious seafood restaurants, film theatres and much more.

In ancient times this Red Sea port city was the main port for shipments from the Red Sea to the Far East. Going back to five and a half thousand years ago, Aqaba has had an integral role in the economy of the region, serving as a leading connection for land and sea routes from Asia, Africa and Europe, a role it still occupies until today. Fascinatingly, Aqaba is the city where archaeologists excavated what they believe to be the world’s oldest church, dating back to the late 3rd century AD.

Superb Stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of Jan 2020. The hotel was built in 2017 and as such the place is great. Good rooms with large comfortable beds, the rooms were kept spotlessly clean. The food is top notch and the staff were very helpful. Couldn’t find a fault. The hotel is located about a 7 min stroll from the heart of downtown, close enough to walk but far enough so that it’s in a quiet location. Stayed: January 2020
