Entering Singapore

To ensure a smooth journey, travellers seeking to enter Singapore should comply with the  Entry and  Public Health requirements listed below.

1) General Entry Requirements

To enter Singapore, travellers must meet the following immigration requirements:

i) Passport Validity

• Have minimum 6-month passport validity if you are not a Singapore passport holder
• Short term travellers holding a passport or travel document from a visa-required country/region must  apply for a Visa
• Visa-required travellers can use the  Visa-Free Transit Facility  for stay of less than 96 hours in Singapore, if eligible

iii) Security and Immigration Processes on Arrival

• Ensure that you do not bring prohibited items  into Singapore
• Familiarise yourself with  immigration/customs clearance procedures , including whether you are eligible for automated clearance
• Short-Term travellers should have sufficient cash and proof of onward travel (tickets, visas), and ensure that you do not stay beyond your visit pass validity. You may retrieve your e-Pass after arrival using the  e-Pass Enquiry Portal  or check your visit pass validity using the  visit pass validity tool .
• Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance; and
• Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and Long-Term Pass Holders entering via land checkpoints.

Submission of SGAC is Free and can be done via the SGAC e-Service  or MyICA Mobile app . Please refer to SGAC with Electronic Health Declaration  for more information.

Short Term Visitors

• Visitors who wish to stay beyond the period of stay granted can apply for a  visit pass extension  online using the  e-Service . Applications are subject to approval.
• Travellers on short-term visit pass are also not permitted to engage in any business, professional or paid employment activities when in Singapore. Overstaying is also a punishable offence in Singapore.

2) Public Health Requirements

To avoid tests and quarantine, travellers must fulfil the public health requirements below. Travellers who cannot meet the public health requirements and refuse any test(s) and/or quarantine may be turned away from Singapore.

Produce an International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever , if you have visited any country at risk of Yellow Fever transmission  in the six (6) days prior to arrival in Singapore.

Travellers must serve quarantine for six (6) days from date of departure from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission if they cannot meet the requirement. Quarantine also applies to those who are ineligible to receive the vaccination e.g., children aged one year and below and individuals with contraindications, and travellers whose yellow fever vaccination certificate has yet to become valid.

There are no longer any COVID-19 measures for travellers arriving in Singapore from 13 Feb 2023 , regardless of vaccination status or traveller profile.

Advisory on COVID-19 for Travellers and Tourism Businesses

General Advisory for Travellers

1. Singapore is open to all travellers without quarantine. This includes non-fully vaccinated travellers. Covid-19 pre-departure tests are not required. More details are available  here. 2. Depending on the destination you are travelling from, mask-wearing aboard flights and ferries to Singapore may be required. Travellers are advised to check with the respective transport operator on the mask-wearing requirement prior to their trip.

3. Singapore has stepped down all COVID-19 measures and mask wearing is not required except in healthcare settings. However, do practise good personal hygiene and wear a mask if you are unwell.

International Travel Guidelines

Passengers flying to Nairobi, Kenya are required to vaccinate against Yellow Fever and Poliovirus, at least 4 weeks prior to departure, regardless of age and vaccination status. Ensure to present your vaccination certificates at the airport to avoid a 6-day quarantine period.

Effective 13th February 2023, 1100Hrs IST onwards for customers arriving from China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Japan the prior requirement of pre departure COVID 19 testing and uploading of self health declaration on Air Suvidha stands withdrawn.

Note: All customers are required to carry printout of e-visa along with other mandatory travel documents.

• Holders of all type of visa and/or entry permission granted by the appropriate authority in the United Arab Emirates (i.e., valid resident visa, employment visa, short stay/long stay visa, visit visa, residence visa newly issued)
• have a visitor visa or a green card issued by the Unites States, or
• a residence visa issued by the United Kingdom or Europe union
• All customers must download the COVID-19 Dubai Smart App and generate a QR code on their device before entering Dubai. Click to download – Android & iOS versions of the App
• All vaccination and PCR requirements are uplifted for travel to Dubai.

For customers from Dubai to India

For customers from India to Sharjah

• All customers are required to generate a QR code from the Federal Authority For Identity and Citizenship ( https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/registerArrivals  or register on the ICA Smart UAE APP (Click to download – Android & iOS versions of the ICA Smart App)
• All customers transiting Sharjah, are not required to carry a negative RT-PCR certificate unless mandated by their final-destination
• All customers must download and register on the ALHOSN App
• All vaccination and PCR requirements are uplifted for travel to Sharjah.

For customers from Sharjah to India

For customers from India to Abu Dhabi

• All vaccination and PCR requirements are uplifted for travel to Abu Dhabi.
• All customers transiting Abu Dhabi, are not required to carry a negative RT-PCR certificate unless mandated by their final-destination
• Transit/Transfer beyond Abu Dhabi is currently not permitted

For customers from Abu Dhabi to India 

For customers from India to Ras Al Khaimah

• All customers transiting Ras Al Khaimah, are not required to carry a negative RT-PCR certificate unless mandated by their final-destination

• Quarantine is no longer mandatory for all travelers however; travelers who test positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Qatar must undergo quarantine measures in accordance with the procedures followed in the State of Qatar.
• The pre-examination of the Corona virus, whether (PCR) or rapid antigen test, has been cancelled for all arrivals to the country as of 1 of November 2022.
• A valid passport for a period of not less than 3 months, with the need to update any changes in the travel document information.
• Valid return ticket
• Valid HAYYA Permit with barcode attached
• Proof of a confirmed hotel reservation or proof of hosting family or friends issued by the Hayya platform.
• All visitors to the state of Qatar will no longer be required to have health insurance, if their stay is less than 30 days.
• Visa on arrival and Advance tourist and business visas
• Transit passengers and tourist groups
• Cruise Transiting Passengers to/from Doha Port
• GCC Residents
• Accompanying of GCC citizens
• Holders of HAYYA permit for attending a  conference
• All visas issued for Officials, Sport Events, Bilateral Agreements and Friendly Forces
• Work and Residence Visas, and Family and Personal Visit Visas
• For holders of temporary work visas (for a period of 3 months with multiple entry) and holders of HAYYA entry permit valid until 24 Feb 2024 health insurance is mandatory.

For customers from Qatar (Doha) to India

For customers from India to Kuwait

FAMILY VISIT VISA - Customers holding and travelling on Family Visit Visa entry is limited Kuwait Airways and Jazeera for inbound and outbound travel to/from State of Kuwait and will return the customer to his country in case of arrival on any other airline. Family visit visa is valid only for a month and customer hold only the paper visa with nothing else.

FAMILY RESIDENCE VISA - Customer holding Family residence visa for Kuwait are allowed to travel on 6e to KWI. Family residence visa is identifiable with customer holding paper visa valid for 3, PCC, Medical stamp on visa and visa stamp on passport.

For customers from Kuwait to India

For customers from India to Male

• Maldivian Nationals
• Special Visa Holders
• Business Visa Holders
• Foreign diplomats and their accompanying family members
• Crew of ships who arrive by air to sign on to a ship
• Holders of a valid work permit or work visa
• Holders of any other resident permit of Maldives
• All customers including children and infants are no longer required to be fully vaccinated or be in possession of pre-departure PCR test while travelling to Maldives.
• All Customers are required to submit an online declaration 96hrs prior to boarding via https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ and obtain a QR code. The QR code to be made readily available for verification by immigration upon exit from Maldives Note: Maldivian Citizens will no longer be required to submit the “Online Traveller Declaration Form (The electronic Embarkation/Disembarkation card of the Maldives)” when arriving to and departing from Maldives by air.
• Customers travelling not for the purpose of tourism are required to be in possession of a valid visa issued by Maldives Immigration
• Customers travelling on work visa must verify their visa status on https://xpat.egov.mv/
• All Customers travelling for the purpose of tourism shall be issued visa on arrival
• Customers travelling for the purpose of tourism must have a confirmed reservation at a resort
• List of resorts can stay as approved by Maldivian Health authority can be found by clicking here
• Customers must be in possession of valid return ticket
• Visitors are required to carry at least 100 USD per person per day to cover their stay in Maldives. This does not apply to passengers with a Maldivian sponsor.

For customers from Male to India

• Customers are required to submit an online declaration prior to their departure on https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/ and obtain a QR code. The QR code to be made readily available for verification by immigration upon exit from Maldives

For customers from India to Muscat

• Omani Nationals
• Residents of Oman
• Visa Holders of Oman
• Those who can obtain visa on arrival in Oman and those who don’t require a visa to travel to Oman
• Customers travelling to Oman are no longer required to carry a negative PCR certificate nor they are required to be in possession of final vaccination certificate that they have received two doses of any approved vaccine
• All passengers traveling to Oman are no longer required to hold a health insurance with COVID-19 coverage for at least one month from the date of their arrival to Oman
• Customers travelling to Oman are no longer required to register on http://travel.moh.gov.om

For customers from Muscat to India

For customers from India to Dhaka

• Bangladeshi Nationals
• Non Bangladeshi Nationals holding any type of valid and/or pre-approved visa
• Customers in possession of tourist visas shall be allowed to travel to Bangladesh
• All customers arriving into Bangladesh are required to fill a self-health declaration form and submit the same to the health authorities upon arrival
• All customers who are fully vaccinated with WHO approved vaccines (single/double dose as applicable for a full dose) are no longer required to be in possession of a pre-departure PCR while travelling to Bangladesh
• Unvaccinated/partially vaccinated customers must carry a negative PCR certificate in printed form, from a government-approved laboratory in India (ICMR) or a certified designated laboratory which is available on  https://www.icmr.gov.in/ issued no more than 72 hours before departure of the last direct flight to Dhaka. The certificate issued shall be duly signed and/or stamped by relevant authorities. 72 Hours is calculated from the time of sample collection
• The negative PCR certificate held by the customer must have a QR code on it linking it to their original test report and must have the date and time of sample collection and the test result mentioned accurately. Customers holding a negative PCR certificate without a QR code shall be denied boarded at the origin station

Note: The following are exempted from pre-departure covid test

• Children under the age of 12years
• The certificate must be available in printed form to submit to health authorities upon arrival and shall be in English only, handwritten certificates are not permitted
• All customers upon arrival shall be required to undergo mandatory 14 days home quarantine. However if any COVID-19 symptomatic passengers is observed/detected on arrival, he/she shall be sent to government authorized hospital for further formalities
• Seamen shall be allowed to travel provided they are in possession of all necessary documents such as passport, CDC booklet, Guarantee letter, Ok to Board Letter and sign on to the ship maximum within 72 hours of their arrival
• Foreign nationals of Bangladeshi descendant and their spouse & children;
• Foreign citizen holding Diplomatic & Official passport;
• Foreign Businessmen and Investors;
• Foreign citizens joining in meetings/seminars/conferences/any other event invited by the Government of Bangladesh
• Customers are no more required to fill an online health declaration form within 3 days of their departure and obtain a QR code. Click here to fill the health declaration
• All customers are mandatorily required to be in possession of the health declaration form along with QR code at the time of check-in in soft or printed format and shall be required to present the same to immigration upon arrival into Bangladesh

For customers from Dhaka to India

For customers from India to Singapore

• With effect from 12 th February 23, all COVID 19 requirements are uplifted for travel to Singapore.
• It is mandatory for all customers travelling to Singapore to submit their SGAC within 3 days before arrival in Singapore via https://eservices.ica.gov.sg/sgarrivalcard
• A customer with no travel history in the last 7 consecutive days prior to their departure to Singapore, to any country classified under restricted category will not be required to serve SHN Notice upon entering Singapore, regardless of the customer’s vaccination status.
• A customer with travel history to a restricted country may be required to serve a SHN (Stay Home Notice) or undergo COVID 19 testing or both. NOTE : As of 9 February 2023, there are no countries/regions in the Restricted Category

• Saudi Citizens
• Non-Saudi Citizens (Resident (IQAMA Holder), Family Visit Visa, New Resident Visa, Business Visa, New Employment Visa, Umrah Visa) (Premium residency permit holders shall not be required to submit an exit/re-entry visa)

• All passengers holding HAYYA CARD issued by Qatar are allowed to enter the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• The HAYYA card entitles the passenger a stay of total 60 days which is 10 days before the tournament, 27 days during the tournament and followed by 23 days after the end of the tournament period.
• The Visa is multi entry it can be used more than once, and pre entry the State of Qatar is not required.
• It is mandatory for all passengers holding HAYYA card to obtain medical insurance for the visa period of 60 days.

Recommended vaccination :

Pilgrims with health conditions are recommended to update their vaccination status against vaccine-preventable diseases. These include vaccination against Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Measles, Varicella and Mumps.

• Effective from 1 st August, No COVID Protocols to be followed by customers travelling from India to Malaysia, customers to be accepted as per normal procedures.
• Customer travelling to Malaysia need to register online via Malaysia Digital Arrival Card website https://imigresen-online.imi.gov.my/mdac/main?registerMain and submit. Pax can register the earliest 3 days before departure date and this MANDATORY for all tourists coming to Malaysia.

For customers from Malaysia to India

For Customers from India to Vietnam

• Vietnam is open to fully vaccinated and not fully vaccinated customers. However, customers must comply with certain requirements detailed below
• Visa, permanent residence card, temporary residence card, or valid visa exemption certificate
• Effective 15 th  May, 2022 customers are no longer required to be in possession of negative Covid-19 test before travelling to Vietnam
• There are no quarantine measures on all incoming customers irrespective of their vaccination status. However, all customers must monitor their health within 10 days of arrival and notify health authorities immediately if they develop COVID19 symptoms
• If tested positive and placed under quarantine, customers will be required to download the contact tracing app PCCOVID and keep it active throughout the quarantine period
• Customers are no longer required to purchase Travel health insurance.

For customers from Vietnam to India

• Jakarta and Bali
• Passports must be valid for a minimum of 6 months from the arrival date.
• Nationals of India can obtain a visa on arrival for a maximum stay of 14 to 30 days. They can apply to extend their stay for an additional 30 days.
• Passports and passport replacing documents of all non-Indonesian nationals must contain at least 1 unused visa page for entry/departure endorsements by the immigration. This does not include the page reserved for "Observations" or "Amendments and Endorsements".
• Customers must hold return/onward tickets.

QR code is electronic Declaration form that must be filled in by the customers and crew using mobile phone before Custom clearance upon arrival in any international airport in Indonesia. This QR code banner is also available in baggage claim area in Indonesia.

After completing the electronic form, final QR code pops up on the screen/email which Customs will screen on their device prior exit.

• Persons who had obtained a single dose of two dose vaccine prior or post COVID 19 infection during past 6 months period.

• Departure 14 days after completing recommended doses of vaccination for COVID 19.
• Do not require to produce upon arrival to Sri Lanka
• It is strongly recommended to have the vaccination certificate with the traveller during the stay in Sri Lanka to produce to the Medical personnel when and if required.
• Pre departure testing for COVID 19 is not required.
• If a traveller shows COVID 19 like symptoms and signs, you may subjected for PCR/RA testing by an authorized Medical personnel.
• Hospitalization Insurance Cover is no longer required.
• If Foreign Nationals/tourists become COVID 19 positive after arriving to Sri Lanka, they should isolate for 7 days in a private hospital/hotel/place of residence. The cost of treatment/isolation should be borne by foreign nationals/tourists.

For customers from Colombo to India

I to this Ministry's O.M. of even number dated 30.03.2021 with immediate effect. Nationals of these 156 countries will also be eligible for issuance of fresh e-Tourist visa as per Para 2.5(i) of the Visa Manual, 2019
• Regular (Paper) valid Tourist visa issued to foreign nationals of all countries which remained suspended since March 2020 shall stand restored except for nationals of China. Fresh Regular (paper) Tourist Visa are also allowed to be issued by the Indian Missions/posts abroad to all foreign nationals (except for nationals of China) as per provisions contained in Chapter 10 of the Visa manual 2019
• Old valid Long duration (10 years) Regular Tourist Visa shall stand restored only for the nationals of USA and Japan. Fresh Long duration 10 year Tourist Visa can also be issued to the nationals of USA and Japan. Canadian nationals will be eligible for fresh Regular Tourist Visa except 10year long duration Tourist Visa. Long duration Regular Tourist Visa issued to Canadian nationals before March 2020 will continue to remain suspended and they would not be eligible for fresh Long duration visa of 10years validity
• The foreign nationals on Tourist /e-Tourist Visas would be permitted to enter India only through designated Sea Immigration Check Posts (ICPs) or Airport ICPs by flights, including those under the Vande Bharat Mission or 'air bubble' scheme or by any flights as allowed by the DGCA or Ministry of Civil Aviation. In no case the foreign nationals will be allowed to enter through Land border or riverine routes on Tourist Visa/e-Tourist Visa. Order for opening of Land ICPs and riverine routes will be communicated separately
• Medical visas must be issued after 21 st October, 2020
• Tourist Visa/ e-Tourist Visa of foreign nationals have to be utilised within 120 days from the date of issue of such visa/ETA
• Fresh Tourist Visa/e-Tourist Visa will remain valid for single entry for up to 30 days from the date of entry

Is Covid back? Singapore sees surge in cases; minister advises wearing of masks | Details

Singapore ministry said the estimated number of covid-19 cases nearly doubled from 13,700 in previous week to 25,900 in the week of may 5 to 11..

The Singapore government is closely monitoring a new surge in Covid-19 infections, as the estimated weekly case count almost doubled in the week ending May 11. Health minister Ong Ye Kung on Saturday advised the wearing of masks again.

Singapore's ministry of health stated that the government was closely tracking the trajectory of the new wave. According to the ministry, the estimated number of the Covid-19 cases nearly doubled from 13,700 in the previous week to 25,900 in the week of May 5 to 11.

The ministry reported that average daily Covid-19 hospitalisations increased from 181 to approximately 250 during the same period. To preserve hospital bed capacity, public hospitals have been instructed to reduce non-urgent elective surgeries and transfer appropriate patients to care facilities.

“We are at the beginning part of the wave where it is steadily rising,” health minister Ong Ye Kung said, according to a Straits Times report.

He added, “The wave should peak in the next two to four weeks, which means between mid- and end-June.”

Ong also encouraged those at highest risk of disease—including individuals aged 60 and above, medically vulnerable individuals, and residents of aged care facilities—to get an additional dose of the Covid-19 vaccine if they have not been vaccinated in the past 12 months.

Speaking about social restrictions Ong said there were no plans for any form of social restrictions as of now, as Covid-19 is treated as an endemic disease in Singapore. The minister added that imposing additional measures would be a last resort.

Ong, however, accepted the fact that Singapore, being a transport and communications hub, will be one of the cities that experience a wave of Covid-19 earlier than others.

“So Covid-19 is just something that we have to live with. Every year, we should expect one or two waves,” he said.

Reform UK's honorary president Nigel Farage has announced that he will be giving an "emergency" news conference at 4pm.

Sources have suggested to Sky colleagues that he could announce plans to stand as a candidate in this general election.

If he did make such an announcement, it would be a significant U-turn, having said less than two weeks ago that having "thought long and hard" about it, it was "not the right time".

Sunak: Only two people can be PM

Rishi Sunak was asked earlier about the possibility of Mr Farage standing, and he told broadcasters: "At the end of the day, on 5 July, one of two people will be prime minister: either Keir Starmer or me.

"A vote for anyone who's not a Conservative candidate is just a vote to put Keir Starmer in Number 10."

Spotting and sorting awkward backdrops is an essential skill for any party campaign official.

That can be difficult though when the backdrop is water-based and moving.

Rishi Sunak found this out today when a group of Liberal Democrats photobombed his visit to the banks of the Thames by sailing a placard-laden boat into shot in full view of a pack of TV cameras.

The party has been driving home one of their key campaign messages in the area, on the filthy state of the UK's waterways.

Speaking to some rowers at the Henley club, you do wonder if water quality would have been a more tailored campaign message than the Tories' announcement around gender today.

As Rishi Sunak cleaned a boat, one woman said he didn't really need to do that as it hadn't been in the water recently - pointedly adding that if it had been in the water, it would be covered in "poo" because the Thames is so bad in the area.

Some of the rowers who met the prime minister also seemed in the dark about the gender policy announcement, saying they'd just been told it was a visit connected to women's sports.

Indeed, Rishi Sunak didn't chat to the female athletes about the planned changes to equality law – instead keeping the conversation on rowing.

But when asked, most of the athletes seemed broadly sympathetic to the changes – with some expressing concern about the potential advantage transgender women may have in physical sports like their own.

Rishi Sunak has been facing questions on his party's plan to overhaul the Equality Act and ensure "biological sex" is a protected characteristic. 

Speaking from the Leander Club in Berkshire, he was asked whether his goal is to ensure no transgender woman can access female-only spaces.

The PM said there was a "lack of clarity in the law" that is "risking the safety of women and girls". 

He said sex should mean biological sex, and that providers of single-sex spaces will be "able to protect women and girls and ensure their safety and security". 

Mr Sunak hit out at the SNP's plan to make gender recognition on a self-ID basis, saying it "wasn't right".

But he denied the Tories were "stoking culture wars" on the issue.

"It builds on our track record of treating these issues sensitively and with compassion, as of course we should," he insisted.

But he said protecting women and girls was "paramount in all of our minds".

Veterans minister Johnny Mercer has just responded to Sir Keir Starmer's speech pitching Labour as the "party of defence".

He pointed to the party's previously leader and now independent candidate, Jeremy Corbyn, "who said we should turn the army into a peace corps".

"Keir Starmer supported him not once, but twice. So the idea that a leopard can change its spots in this way is obviously taking the British public for fools."

He also hit out at the Labour leader for not matching the Conservatives' commitment to raising defence spending to 2.5% of GDP by 2030, and instead saying they'll do it when economic conditions allow.

And on the nuclear deterrent, Mr Mercer noted that the shadow foreign secretary and deputy Labour leader voted against renewing Trident eight years ago.

"If you're serious about nuclear deterrent, if you're serious about defence, you're serious about veterans, I think voting for Labour is extremely dangerous."

The Scottish first minister has criticised Sir Keir Starmer's defence speech this morning, where Labour reaffirmed its commitment to the nuclear triple lock. 

Speaking from a dairy farm in Stirling, John Swinney said the SNP believes there is not a place for a nuclear deterrent in our society.

The party has always opposed nuclear weapons, he said. 

Nuclear deterrent 'never going to be used'

Mr Swinney said it was "not acceptable" to spend money on the Trident nuclear missile system while conventional defence forces were being "starved" of funding. 

We are now living in a "dangerous world", he said, and conventional forces are there to defend us. 

He argued Trident is a system "that's never going to be used". 

Labour should "get their priorities right", he said, adding it should be investing in conventional weaponry, getting out of the Trident system and ending years of Conservative austerity. 

It's lunchtime - here's what you need to know as the second full week of campaigning gets under way.

Sir Keir Starmer has been pitching his party as strong on national security, while Rishi Sunak is focusing on gender issues.

• Labour  has been pitching itself as the "party of defence" as it hammers home the message that it has "changed" since the Jeremy Corbyn era;
• Sir Keir Starmer  delivered a speech saying that "a new age of insecurity has begun", and that under Labour, "national security will always come first";
• He said he would be "prepared to use nuclear weapons" if needed to defend the UK;
• But he was put on the defensive when it was noted that a number of members of his shadow cabinet - including his shadow foreign secretary and deputy party leader - previously voted against renewing the Trident nuclear deterrent submarine programme;
• Our  political correspondent Serena Barker-Singh  said Labour "clearly have it in their mind that they don't want to go into this election - like they did in 2019 - with a wavering view on the nuclear deterrent";
• Sir Keir was also questioned on the war in Gaza, and he said, if elected, he would request fresh legal advice on Israel's compliance with international law to see if arms sales should be halted.
• The Conservative Party  has announced plans to change the Equality Act to ensure "biological sex" is a protected characteristic;
• The aim is to make it "simpler for service providers for women and girls, such as those running sessions for domestic abuse victims, to prevent biological males from taking part";
• Speaking to Sky News, cabinet minister Kemi Badenoch was put on the spot about why the government had not already done that, and she said the "biggest reason" was the SNP's controversial gender recognition legislation that "took up quite a lot of bandwidth"
• Our political correspondent Rob Powell  said the party is "targeting the traditional Tory core vote", as well as trying to "stop leakage to Reform".
• The Liberal Democrats have been out and about promoting their pledge to expand marine protected areas and bring in a new Blue Flag status for rivers, which would set legally binding targets to prevent sewage dumping in those sites;
• SNP  leader John Swinney has been out on the campaign trail meeting voters and getting his party's message out;
• Reform UK  have also been campaigning - and Nigel Farage has announced an "emergency" news conference for 4pm. Follow Sky News for the latest.

Liberal Democrat deputy leader Daisy Cooper is on the campaign trail in Henley-on-Thames, an area that she says has been affected by raw sewage dumping.

She says it is an "environmental catastrophe" that has been damaging wildlife as well as affecting the popular Henley Royal Regatta. 

"When people pull up their boats here, they have to wash them down," she tells a crowd of supporters. 

Ms Cooper says her party has a plan to tackle the crisis and will "put an end" to raw sewage dumping. 

She adds that people are "sick of this Conservative government". 

Our political correspondent Rob Powell is following the Tory campaign in Oxfordshire, where the PM is focusing largely on sports clubs. 

This is linked to the policy announcement today that the Conservatives will shake up the Equality Act and ensure "biological sex" is a protected characteristic. 

Rob explains that under the changes, places such as prisons or rape crisis centres could say they are solely for people whose biological sex is female. 

He says the party is "targeting the traditional Tory core vote", as well as trying to "stop leakage to Reform". 

But he also believes the Tories are trying to "put Labour on the spot to find out what they would do". 

Labour have said they wouldn't amend the Equality Act as they don't think there's a need, but that guidance should be updated. 

Supporters of Labour are much more split on the issue than Conservative voters, Rob says. 

He adds the Tories want to "pose that question to Labour" and are "setting up for the head-to-head debates in the coming days".

Labour has today launched an attack on Rishi Sunak, saying he earned a fortune working at a hedge fund that engineered a deal that was described as "extremely risky" around the financial crisis.

Sir Keir Starmer is asked by a journalist from The Guardian why Labour has waited so long to scrutinise the PM's record in his past career in finance.

He replies: "We have raised this before. I think it is relevant at this election for the voters to know what did the two candidates for prime minister do before they came into politics.

"I was working for the Crown Prosecution Service … trying to protect those who live in the United Kingdom from crime - Rishi Sunak was making money betting against the country in the financial crisis.

"I think that's for him to answer as to what he was doing before he came into politics."

That concludes the news conference with the Labour leader.

Sir Keir Starmer is challenged again on his position on the war in Gaza, and is asked if human rights matter there, in his view.

He replies: "Yes, of course, and international law matters in Gaza, and accountability matters in Gaza.

"And you wouldn't be human if you weren't affected by the images that we've seen, the reports coming out of Gaza, the sheer number of people who've been killed - many of them women and children.

"And also the knowledge that [Israeli] hostages are still being held."

He continues that the "best thing we can do for both sides is to press for that ceasefire immediately, straight away", adding: "That's been our position for weeks and weeks and weeks and months."

The key will be stopping the fighting, getting hostages out, and getting aid in.

"And then that duty we will have if we come into power to play our full part in resolving the conflict in the Middle East for the long-term and that can only happen if we work with our allies, if we play our part on the world stage and clear the path for a two-state solution."
