This is our way of saying thank you to loyal guests who share our passion for discovery and keep joining us, year after year. Have you traveled or booked with MSC?

There are five membership levels to progress through: Welcome , Classic , Silver , Gold and Diamond . Each time you cruise with us, you will earn points and as your points grow, so do your privileges and status. Don’t forget to provide your membership number at the time of booking to ensure you receive your benefits! MSC Voyagers Club membership is subject to a minimum of one cruise every three years. If no cruise has been completed in three years after the enrollment date or your last disembarkation date, your membership will expire. Should your membership expire, you must subscribe again: you will be assigned the Classic status and a new Club identification number. Log in  to your personal area to check out your points and membership expiry date.

HOW TO COLLECT POINTS

Each time you cruise with us, you will earn points to upgrade your membership level. You can collect points based on the type of MSC Experience purchased, onboard services prepaid before the cruise and onboard expenses. Points are credited at the end of the cruise, approximately ten days after the disembarkation date. Take a look at more details below. 

MSC Experience purchased

Onboard services prepaid before the cruise : you earn 100 points every 150 €/$ on expenses made before the cruise on MSC packages and services included in the cruise booked*.  Onboard expenses: you earn 100 points for every 150 €/$ spent on board, excluding casino expenses. Points for onboard expenses (including pre-boarding purchased shipboard credit) will only be assigned to the MSC Voyagers Club cardholder making the final payment.

*For currencies other than € euro, the currency conversion on purchase day will apply.

Starting from July 28, 2017, members also have the opportunity to collect bonus points.  Members with an upcoming confirmed booking with MSC will receive 100 bonus points if they update or confirm their contact details (email, phone, address) up to 72 hours before sailing. Members can update or confirm the contact details in the MSC Voyagers Club online personal area or through the Web Check-in .  100 bonus points also apply to non-members with an upcoming confirmed booking with MSC who join the MSC Voyagers up to 72 hours before sailing.

BOOK AN MSC WORLD CRUISE AND EARN TRIPLE POINTS!

For such a unique voyage, we will credit triple membership points for the type of Experience chosen at the time of booking, allowing MSC Voyagers Club members to enjoy all the added privileges right away! Also, your Voyagers Club membership expiry date will be automatically extended by three years when booking your MSC World Cruise.

Complete Guide to MSC Voyagers Club

First introduced in 2015, MSC Voyagers Club has changed the way cruise lines work alongside loyalty programmes for the better. Let us offer an insight into how this programme works and the ways in which you can reap the benefits on offer with this great cruise line!

What is MSC Voyagers Club?

MSC Voyagers Club is a loyalty club which offers exclusive privileges to customers of MSC Cruises . That’s to say, anyone who has sailed with MSC Cruises, not just booked with them. That means that even if you have booked via a travel agent, you are still able to join the programme.

The programme was set up as a way of giving back and saying thank you to loyal guests who return cruise after cruise. Once registered, members earn points for their sailings which grows their level of membership and status. The more points you have, the more benefits you get!

The membership is completely free to join and is open to everyone who has cruised at least once since 2006 with MSC Cruises, or has booked and confirmed a cruise MSC.

How do I become a member?  

There are a few ways to become a member, you can register:

• Before embarkation: Complete the ‘ Become a Member ’ form and you will receive an email after the booking is made or by clicking the link on the e-ticket you will receive up to 10 days before departure.
• Online check-in: You can also register via online check-in. Members will receive their club identification number after subscription via email with an electronic card. Guests who have a confirmed MSC Cruises booking can register up to 72 hours before sailing.
• On-board: Guests can also become a member on-board their MSC Cruises ship. Either contact Guest Services or visit an MSC Voyagers Club Infopoint. Guests who subscribe on-board will receive an email confirmation of their enrolment at the end of their cruise. This will include their membership number and points.
• Post-cruise: If you have already sailed with MSC Cruises and wish to become a member, you can register at the Become a Member section of the MSC Cruises’ website. Once you have submitted your form, you will receive an email with the electronic version of your card and your membership number.

What is my MSC Voyagers Club number? 

This is your own personal club identification number. It allows MSC Cruises to keep your account updated and add relevant points to your account. Your number will always remain the same, regardless of your level of membership.

Top tip: Always ensure you include your club identification number at the time of booking and on-board to ensure you get the maximum benefits from MSC Voyagers Club!

How do I collect more points?

Collecting points is as easy as cruising. No, really – it’s that simple! There are a few ways you can earn points, but the main one is just by cruising with MSC Cruises. Depending on the length of your sailing, what experience you book and your stateroom, each of these contribute to the number of points you earn for each sailing. There are three ways you can earn points with the MSC Voyagers Club:

• Based on the Experience you purchase (Bella, Fantastica or Aurea) or the MSC Yacht Club

MSC Voyagers Club Level of Membership

There are five levels of MSC Voyagers Club membership:

• Welcome Membership – At least 1 confirmed booking
• Classic Membership – 1 to 2,199 points
• Silver Membership – 2,200 to 4,299 points
• Gold Membership – 4,300 to 9,999 points
• Black Membership – 10,000+ points

Milestone reward

Silver, Gold and Black members receive a membership pin upon reaching the level of membership for the first time. These will be delivered on-board and are allocated once per membership level upgrade for all members aged over 10 at the time of the cruise. You will need to visit the MSC Voyagers Club infopoint to collect your pin.

Complimentary Thermal Area session

Gold and Black members receive a free one-hour Thermal Area session once per cruise for a steam bath or sauna. This is not available to MSC Voyagers Club members under 18.

Complimentary gift

Gold and Black members will receive a complimentary gift, delivered by Cruise Consultant during the cruise. This is not available to MSC Voyagers Club members under 10 at the time of the cruise.

Complimentary Speciality Restaurant Dinner

Black membership holders are entitled to enjoy a tasting menu dinner for two at a speciality restaurant once during the cruise (not including beverages). Members may extend their invitation to one occupant of the same cabin only once and only if the cabin mate is not a black card member. Subject to availability. This is not available at self-serve buffets and members under 18 must be accompanied in order to enjoy the privilege.

Black Party

Black membership holders will receive an invitation on-board to join an exclusive party where they can meet other Black MSC Voyagers Club members. This is not available on cruises with less than four nights and members under 18 must be accompanied by an adult sharing the same cabin. 

Chocolate ship

Black membership holders will receive a complimentary chocolate ship gift, hand-crafted on-board and delivered during the cruise. Not available on cruises less than four nights.

Late cabin check-out disembarkation

Black membership holders can stay in the cabin until two hours after the ship arrives in port. Members should check transfer time to make sure they can enjoy the privilege.

MSC Status Match

MSC Voyagers Club also offers a status match with the programme, allowing existing and new cruisers to MSC Cruises to enjoy the same incentives they would typically enjoy with their pre-existing memberships with other cruise lines, hotel groups, airlines and tour operators.

What is the MSC Status Match programme?

Upon joining the Voyager’s Club, cruises can enjoy exclusive benefits and privileges simply by mentioning any existing loyalty benefits. This includes those with the airline, tour operators, hotel groups and even other cruise lines!

This allows MSC Cruises to match passenger status from other cruise lines, as well as other hospitality industries for the ultimate holiday benefits.

How does it work?

You can sign up for MSC Status Match on the MSC Cruises website here: sign up .

Matching is carried out by comparing as reasonably possible the level of benefits guaranteed from the external travel programme benefit card with those offered by the MSC Voyagers Club cards.

Anyone over the age of 18 years of age can register, and applicants must allow up to 4-7 business days for their Status Match to complete.

The MSC Voyager’s Club allows passengers to receive the same level of benefits from their existing scheme, depending on their tier level – Welcome, Classic, Silver, Gold or Black.

Memberships include discounts on cruise fares, as well as on-board privileges and access to a range of sailings with up to 15% additional discount.

Giles Hawke, MSC Cruises’ Executive Director for UK and Ireland at the time of the launch, said the line is simply looking for people who are travellers.

“It is a way of encouraging those who have not tried MSC Cruises to join while retaining all the perks and privileges they are used to. Say you’re a top member with Hilton. You come to us with proof and we make you a top-tier member with our loyalty scheme despite the fact you’ve never cruise with us before. Hello, you should be carefull with the information you post on public websites. If you post your booking and personal voyagers number,someone could access your account and cause many problems with your information. Please be carefull online.

Dear msc…I have done 5 cruises on msc and had no idea how to get voyager benefits for eg..gold status etc…please assist so i can benefit with my next cruise…i just did the new years 14night cruise from Durban…I also recommended 9 people to cruise with as well…thanks

I have just completed a lovely cruise on the Lirica .I am a Gold member.However I do not recognise receiving many of the benefits listed above ! Also my partner Ann Irvine who has done the same cruises as me was NOT issued with a Voyagers card. I tried to raise this before cruise but your system was not working .Also nobody on ship could sort it out regardsAnthony Doyle

I just got a status match to Diamond. Is there any advantage to my wife also getting a status match, or does she basically “inherit” all the benefits on our cruises?

Voyagers club benefits list a Voyagers Club Online Area. When I go to the website it asks for booking number, even though it says login or use booking number. Does anyone know how to login to this "online area"? I have an account already, and that works when I'm on the mscusa page, but can't get any other area to login. For some reason it also has problems accepting my voyagers club number anytime I try to book online. Cant locate and email or online chat for MSC, which is also annoying.

Thanks for any help!

BONUS POINTS:

Geneva, Switzerland and Trieste, Italy, 19 September 2019 - A traditional maritime coin ceremony today took place at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, when the keel was laid for MSC Seashore. At the milestone event, MSC Cruises revealed details of the significantly transformed overall design and new features of the ship.

MSC Seashore will be the Company’s longest ship – 339 metres – when she enters service in June 2021, the first of two enriched “Seaside Evo” Class ships with the latest available environmental technology, extended public spaces, more cabins and the highest ratio of outdoor space per guest of any ship in the company’s fleet.

Long-standing employees Marianna Cicala, Ground Services Planning Manager, MSC Cruises and Silvia Bozzetto, Production Planning & Control Commissioning of the Monfalcone shipyard, performed today’s ritual as godmothers when they placed two coins under the new ship’s keel as the historical maritime sign of blessing and good fortune.

Pierfrancesco Vago, MSC Cruises’ Executive Chairman, said: “T oday’s ceremony marks another key milestone in the construction of one of our most innovative all-around ships yet. Most importantly, MSC Seashore – which will feature the latest and most advanced environmental technology currently available – represents another proof of our long-standing commitment to preserve the environment in our ongoing journey to minimise and continuously reduce the impact of our operations. ” MSC Seashore will be fitted, amongst other, with a state-of-the-art Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system and a next-generation Advanced Wastewater Treatment (AWT) system. SCR’s helps reduce nitrogen oxide by 90 per cent through advanced active emissions control technology. Nitrogen oxide from the engine operations is conducted through a catalyst and converts them into nitrogen and water, both harmless compounds. With AWT’s, wastewater undergoes a comprehensive purification process through a very fine filtration process that transforms it to near tap-water quality. The system meets the so-called ‘Baltic Standard’ and treats the wastewater to a higher standard than most waste standards available in cities around the world. The new build will also be fitted with shore-to-ship power which connects cruise ships while at berth to a port’s local power grid to reduce further the ship’s emissions. These new features add to other effective environmental technologies deployed on MSC Seashore and across the Company’s fleet to minimise and continuously reduce environmental impact, including: cutting-edge hybrid Exhaust Gas Cleaning systems (EGCS) that removes 98 per cent of sulphur oxide from ship emissions; advanced waste management systems; ballast water treatment systems approved by the United States Coast Guard; latest-technology systems for the prevention of oil discharges from machinery spaces and various effective energy-efficiency improvements – from heat recovery systems to LED lighting. Giuseppe Bono, Fincantieri CEO , commented: “T he beginning of drydock works of MSC Seashore, the largest ship so far built in Italy, is for us a source of great satisfaction: she is the symbol of “Evo”, a successful project for our Group, innovating the already futuristic “Seaside” concept, that created two units highly welcomed by the market. It is a real challenge in terms of structural and managerial aspects, which powers the impressive workload for the shipyard and the local area. We therefore are very pleased for such a celebration which seals the fruitful partnership with MSC Cruises and we are confident that there will be other similar moments in the future ”. MSC Seashore is based on the ground-breaking “Seaside Class” prototype with a range of breathtaking design features enabling guests to connect with the ocean such as the spectacular Bridge of Sighs, stunning panoramic aft lifts and stylish glass catwalks. More than 40 per cent of the ship has been redesigned and enhanced, making MSC Seashore a significant evolution and improvement of sister ships MSC Seaside and MSC Seaview. Some of the new enhancements are visible to the naked eye and include the 16-metres extended length of the ship, 200 additional cabins, a larger MSC Yacht Club and an additional double-deck aft lounge. The internal architecture has been completely redesigned with two central meeting points positioned at the middle and forward part of the ship, as well as specific measures to further enhance passenger flows. Overall the ship has 10,000 square metres of additional deck space for an even greater and more spacious onboard experience. MSC Seashore will offer more suites thanks to the addition of 28 more terraced suites, two suites with private whirlpools and the MSC Yacht Club – the all-inclusive ‘ship within a ship’ premium concept available on MSC Cruises ships – will see two new cabin categories: 41 Deluxe Grand Suites and two Owner’s Suites with whirlpools. The ship will feature new cabin designs such as cluster cabins for families that link two or three adjoining cabins and can accommodate between six and 10 people, plus bigger and more spacious cabins for guests with a disability – 75 in total – will be available. Two brand new restaurants will be introduced, including one exclusively for Aurea guests. There will be a new location for the five specialty restaurants to allow for waterfront seating on the ship’s breathtaking boardwalk to give guests a greater sea view as they dine al fresco. MSC Seashore will have a new double-decker show lounge at the aft part of the ship, a bigger casino and 20 distinct specialty bars. The ship will feature a new design of her aft pool design, an enlarged indoor pool and a new interactive waterpark will provide thrills and spills for guests of all ages. Clubs for young children and teenagers have been separated from a larger kids’ zone. The ship will provide all her guests with latest customer-centric technology, including ZOE – the world’s first-virtual personal cruise assistant and an MSC Cruises exclusive in every cabin - and MSC for Me.

By night, the bear climbed onto the veranda through the window and ate the whole pot of borsch while owners were in the banya. Arrived on the scene the police shot into the air and the bear ran into the woods.

Irkutsk Oblast - Economy

Irkutsk Oblast is rich in such natural resources as oil, natural gas, gold, iron, coal. It is an important transport hub of Siberia - the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Railway pass through its territory. The main rivers are the Angara, Belaya, Iya, Kitoy, Irkut, Oka, Lena, Kirenga, and Nizhnaya Tunguska.

This region plays a significant role in the Russian industry. In the all-Russian production it makes about 6,5% of power production, 15% of timber export, 6% of coal mining, almost 20% of pulp production, over 10% of carton, about 9% of oil.

The following industries are the most developed: timber and wood-processing, pulp and paper, mining, fuel, non-ferrous metallurgy, power engineering, machine-building, chemical and oil, food and ferrous metallurgy. Hydro-power industry is also well developed (the main dams: Irkutsk Dam, Bratsk Dam, Ust-Ilimsk Dam). Industrial enterprises are mainly located in Irkutsk and several district centers.

The railway is the main means of transport. The main transport line is the Trans-Siberian Railway. The western part of the Baikal-Amur Railway stretches from the town of Taishet to the east through the territory of the region. The total length of railways is about 2,500 km.

There are two airports in the cities of Irkutsk and Bratsk, they are international airports and offer flights to China, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Uzbekistan, South Korea.

Several large navigable rivers flow through the region - the Angara, Lena, Nizhnyaya Tunguska. The largest ports are located on the Lena - Kirensk and Osetrovo. They provide cargo transportation to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and the northern seaport of Tixi.

Irkutsk Oblast - Features

Irkutsk Oblast is a large subject of the Russian Federation that is almost equal to the territory of Turkey. It is the largest region of Russia that has no outlet to the sea. From north to south the region stretches for about 1,450 km, from west to east - for 1,318 km.

The distance from Irkutsk to Moscow by rail - 5,192 km, to Vladivostok - 4,106 km. Time difference between Irkutsk and Moscow - 5 hours. The largest cities and towns of Irkutsk Oblast are Irkutsk (617,200), Bratsk (222,500), Angarsk (220,000), Ust-Ilimsk (78,700), Usolie-Sibirskoye (73,800).

The climate in the Irkutsk region is sharply continental, with long cold winters and short hot and dry summers.

Irkutsk Oblast has a rich history: ancient sites, the Russians settling in eastern Siberia, Decembrists, the Soviet construction sites - there are historical monuments in almost every settlement. Over 60 museums are open in the region, they attract historians and tourists from Europe and Asia.

Attractions of Irkutsk Oblast

Baikal , the largest freshwater lake in the world, occupies a special place among the riches of Siberia. This lake is a wonderful natural monument known for its extremely clean, very clear water. Baikal is a unique sea-lake sung in legends and tales of antiquity, one the centers of Asian culture. It is a great place for eco-tourism.

The Circum-Baikal Railway , offering stunning views of the lake and its surroundings, is one of the most visited places of the region. It is an amazing piece of engineering, a historical monument of the 19th century. There are 38 tunnels with total length of 9,063 m, 15 stone galleries, 3 concrete galleries, 248 bridges and viaducts, 172 architectural monuments.

Olkhon , the largest on Lake Baikal, is also popular among tourists. In Buryat folk legends, Olkhon Island is a mysterious place; to this day it is known as the center of shamanism.

Khamar-Daban, Primorsky, North Baikal ridges, Sayan spurs, Olkhinskoye plateau are unique place not only for mountaineering but also for downhill skiing. Tourists are also attracted by mountain skiing in Baikalsk city.

About 60 km from Irkutsk there is an architectural and ethnographical museum “Taltsy”.
