Your private helicopter tour begins over the island’s South Shore for a chance to see the familiar Waikiki skyline and Diamond Head crater as you’ve never seen them before. Your proposal helicopter tour continues on to Hanauma Bay’s beautiful sheltered waters and the nearby cliffs and volcanic outcroppings – beautiful remnants of the island’s fiery volcanic past.

What To Expect:

Choose a convenient departure time when booking and begin your tour at Rainbow Helicopters, located in Honolulu International Airport. Settle into your helicopter with doors on or off, as per your preference.

Your guide will take you up in the air as you pass Leeward Coast sights like Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, and the Makapu‘u Lighthouse, before continuing to the Windward Coast with its views of the Ko’olau Range, Lanikai Beach, nd Kane‘ohe Bay.

Fly in close to capture stunning views of Sacred Falls, and then, in the distance, observe surfers taking on the waves at Banzai Pipeline and Waimea Bay. Complete your tour with views of the Dole Plantation and Pearl Harbor. After the excitement of soaring above the island, your helicopter circles back to the Honolulu International Airport.

• Lanikai Beach – The island’s Windward Coast awaits where you will see the incredible Ko’olau mountains standing watch above Lanikai Beach – often called the most marvelous beach in the world and the offshore sandbars and coral formations that make Kane‘ohe Bay one of the most picturesque places on Earth.
• Mokoli’i Island – Fly past Mokoli’i Island and take in the breathtaking views of the lush Ka’a’awa Valley before you.
• Kaaawa – The pilot guides your helicopter into the pristine forest and jagged cliffs of the magnificent Ka’a’awa Valley. As the mountains approach, you fly in close to see the magnificent waters of Sacred Falls tumble over 1,000 feet to the rainforest below.

• USS Arizona Memorial – Complete the circle of Oahu by turning inland and passing over the beautiful pineapple maze at the Dole Plantation. This incredible tour doesn’t end until you have completed a solemn pass over Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial.

• Total weight per passenger: 280 lbs
• Confirmation will be received at the time of booking
• Safety of flight is the primary concern. The operator reserves the right to refuse service to passengers who are intoxicated or appear to be intoxicated.
• Intoxicated passengers will not fly and will be charged in full.
• For doors-off tours, jackets and/or sweatshirts, closed-toe shoes, and hair ties are required. Long pants are recommended.
• When booking the doors-off experience, your seat may or may not be directly adjacent to an open door. Only passengers weighing 80 lbs or more may fly with the door off in the Robinson R44 helicopter. Only passengers weighing 100 lbs or more may fly with the door off in the Airbus Astar helicopter.
• All passengers 24 months and older must purchase a full fare seat.
• For each guest weighing 260 pounds or more, a weight and balance fee is required to safely balance the aircraft. For guests weighing between 260-279 lbs, a fee in the amount of 50% of the seat price will be assessed after booking. For guests weighing 280 lbs or higher, an additional seat purchase will be assessed after booking.

My husband and I will be in moscow and wanted to take a side trip..understand Vladimir & Suzdal is quite nice. Do you prefer that to Sergiev Posad? Do you know any agencies that provide group tours or private tours to Vladimir & Suzdal? I understand that Patriarshy Dom is not operating its group tour during this time. Please advise. Any information you have to share would be helpful.

Vladimir & Suzdal are close to each other. you can use vladimir as base and also visit suzdal.

My sugestion would be to go to Vladimir by train from moscow in the evening, take rest and then join a full day tour of vladimir - suzdal and return at night or next day morning. The train takes 2-3 hrs. Details available at http://www.poezda.net ( in english) .You can even book online

Trains are clean and safe. Hotel Vladimir at Vladimir is ok. near the train station. you can find the contacts in google. ( book the tickets in advance.)

You can visit sergiev possad ( quite near to moscow) using the moscow based tour agency mentioned above. They offer day trips to Sergivev possad.

If you want to search the net further, go to http://www.yandex.ru ( russian website) and type in "vladimir tour" or "suzdal tour" in ENGLISH. This will give you many sites with english option

from moscow to vladimir take a long-distance train or a suburban (electrichek) train from kursky station. there are several in the daytime/early evening. certain long-distance trains are faster and can arrive in 2 hours. suburbans take 3 hrs. probably less complicated to buy suburban ticket than one of a long-distance train (where you need passport, specify what type of seat, which train number...) and also cheaper

once in vladimir you can walk around for 1-2 hours or even have your dinner there. then take a bus (avtobus) at the bus station just up a slope from the train station. the bus runs every 30-60mins till late. i took the one around 8-9pm. and the evening buses go directly into city centre of suzdal. the trip is about 40-60mins

the tricky part is if you reserve your accomodation in suzdal with a guesthouse/B&B, it may not be easy to locate. the one i had booked did not have a sign hanging at the door. i walked around for about an hour and at last had to find a local to talk to my host over phone and then she kindly led me to the right wooden house
