Is Evolution Travel Legit? (SCAM Or NOT)

Evolution Travel is a travel company that offers various travel services and products, including cruises, resorts, and vacation packages.

Since 2000, Evolution Travel has been operating online, making it the foremost travel agency and tour operator to work on the cloud, separate from other web-based software.

But is it safe to book a trip using Evolution Travel?

That’s what I will be covering in this article. I will be talking about the working and the different features of Evolution Travel. Besides its legitimacy, I will discuss its policies to help you plan your travel better.

Is Evolution Travel A Scam?

Is Evolution Travel Legit?

Evolution Travel is NOT a scam. It is a registered travel agency and a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), a trade association representing airlines worldwide.

Evolution Travel’s website allows booking travel-related services like flights and vacation packages. They have been in business since 2000 and have grown gradually.

Users can search for and select travel options based on their preferences. The website provides information on pricing, availability, and itinerary details. There are two Evolution Travel agencies, one in Miami, and the other in Malta, Europe.

Once the user selects their travel options, they can make a reservation and pay through the website’s secure payment gateway. The website provides customer support through a contact form, email, or phone number.

The website is user-friendly, and booking with Evolution Travel has always been hassle-free for me.

How Does Evolution Travel Work?

Evolution Travel’s website operates as an online platform that offers a range of travel services to customers.

The website is designed to help customers book their trips easily without much uncertainty. Evolution Travel is an intermediary between travelers and travel suppliers.

Here is a general overview of how it works.

1. Search for travel options

The website allows users to search for travel options, including flights, hotels, car rentals, and vacation packages, based on their preferred travel dates, destinations, and other criteria.

They offer two main types of services – leisure travel and corporate travel . Leisure travel involves helping individuals or groups plan vacations, honeymoons, family reunions, and other personal trips.

Corporate travel involves assisting companies with arranging business travel for their employees, including flights, hotels, and car rentals.

2. Compare options

Once the user has entered their travel information, it displays a list of available options from various travel providers. Users can compare prices, availability, and other details to make an informed decision.

3. Book travel services

Users can book their chosen travel services directly through the website. The website provides a secure payment gateway to facilitate online payments. Users can receive confirmation of their bookings via email or through their online account.

4. Access customer support

Evolution Travel’s website also provides customer support through various channels, including email, phone, and a contact form . Customers can contact the company with any questions, concerns, or issues related to their bookings.

I have had a great experience with their customer service. I got to talk to an actual human 🧔‍♂️ rather than a robot 🤖, and that’s good enough for me.

How To Book Your Trip Using Evolution Travel?

It’s straightforward and fully secure to make a reservation for your journey through Evolution Travel. Once you’ve submitted an inquiry, your designated online travel consultant will contact you.

The consultant will contact you by email or telephone based on your preference. They will look to personalize your quote and proceed with the booking if the offer suits you.

You will then receive an email with details and the appropriate payment methods. Once the payment balance has been received, you will be sent your travel documents via email or first-class post, usually on the Tuesday preceding your departure.

The records are sent at least one day before your departure for last-minute offers.

There are different methods you can choose for payment as per your preference. You can pay through the following options available.

What Is The Cancellation Policy Of Evolution Travel?

It is possible to change or cancel a reservation by sending an email request. Your consultant will check the requirements and, if necessary, will inform you of any additional costs.

To cancel a reservation, you must send your cancellation request to your travel consultant before departure. You may also send them a fax stating the reasons for your cancellation.

A penalty fee might be charged according to the promoter’s general conditions of sale. If you need to change a reservation, contact the concerned consultant via email.

After sending a request for information, the consultant will contact you by email or telephone to customize your trip according to your specific needs and to complete your reservation again.

You will then receive your travel contract containing all your booking details and the general conditions of sale. Some additional charges may be applied in some cases, depending on your preference.

How To Contact Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel Review: A Travel MLM Scam or Legit?

Links & ads you may click on this blog pay the bills & keep this site free for you. Thanks for supporting!

For anyone who has planned their dream vacation, you probably know how stressful it can be and requires a lot of work deciding on the best travel package. But did you know you can also make money selling travel packages? You probably already did which is why you are searching Evolution Travel reviews to see if this is a legit way to make money. This Evolution Travel review will determine if you can really make money with this opportunity. Don’t dare join until you have read this review!

What is Evolution Travel?

EvolutionTravel.com is a travel MLM founded by David McCovy in 2015. They are known as a “cloud-based travel agency”. Their headquarters is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Evolution Travel Product Line

There isn't really a product line for Evolution Travel. They don't have any products themselves. All they're selling is travel discounts, coupons, and packages on things like:

  • Tickets to concerts, sporting events, theme parks, etc.

How Much Does It Cost To Be An Evolution Professional Travel Agent?

With Evolution Travel, you pay a  one-time fee plus a monthly fee .

You pay $30 to join and become a Professional Travel Agent. You also need to pay a $69.95 monthly administration fee. Professional Travel Agents (PTAs) get the following:

  • 90% commission on travel sales (PTAs get 80%, and their recruiter gets 10%)
  • A customizable travel website
  • Direct access to worldwide vendors
  • Travel training
  • Residual income
  • A discount directory that includes 20-60% off of travel services and experiences
  • Tax benefits
  • Team building

Once you get your customizable website and training, you are in the travel business!

Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

Evolution Travel's compensation plan is quite detailed and complex, but here is a breakdown of each level and the commission associated with each level.

  • Consultant/PTA, with the benefits listed above
  • Executive Consultant, who has sold 3 PTA memberships: 13% residual commissions
  • Bronze Consultant, who has sold 6 PTA memberships: 14% residual commissions
  • Silver Consultant, who has sold 9 PTA memberships: 20% residual commissions
  • Gold Consultant, who has sold 15 PTA memberships, and has 3 silver consultants in at least 3 legs of business: 12% residual commissions
  • Platinum Consultant, who has at least 300 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 30% residual commissions
  • 1 Star Platinum Consultant, who has at least 500 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 30% residual commissions
  • 2 Star Platinum Consultant, who has at least 1,500 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 30% residual commissions
  • 3 Star Platinum Consultant, who has at least 3,000 active PTA memberships, with no more than 1/3 of the total coming from any particular lineage: 11% residual commissions
  • And so on up to 8 Star Platinum Consultants, with 100,000 PTA memberships and a monthly bonus of $100,000.

Like with most MLMs, there are so many levels and different commission structures for each level, so if this makes your head spin, I don’t blame you! Fortunately, there are businesses with straightforward compensation such as Wealthy Affiliate . They can help you start an online business where you will be able to work with major companies like Amazon and eBay that pay you in a nice straightforward manner.

But if you're not looking for a business opportunity at the moment and just want to make some extra side income, you may want to try free sites like SurveyJunkie.com and Swagbucks.com .

How Much Money Can Evolution Travel Agents Make?

Unfortunately, Evolution Travel doesn't post an Income Disclosure Statement. This immediately set off alarms in my mind. Why aren't they being clear regarding how much you can earn as other MLMs do? How much you can earn is anyone's guess really.

What We Like About Evolution Travel

Let’s have a look at some of the things we like about this company.

Good Partnerships

Although Evolution Travel is relatively new and only founded in 2015, they have partnered with a very experienced travel company known as Archer Travel Group who were founded in 1952. So it’s a positive sign that they are partnered with one of the pioneers in the travel industry. The founder of Evolution Travel, Mr. McCovy also has quite a bit of experience under his belt by founding two other MLMs; namely Paycation (now known as TraVerus Global ) and 5LINX .

Good BBB Rating

If you put a lot of faith into these ratings, you should be pleased to know that they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau at the time of writing this review.

Evolution Travel Complaints

Let’s get into some of the complaints we discovered about Evolution Travel and we will leave it up to you to decide if these are deal breakers.

Evolution Travel is almost exactly the same system, offer, and structure as Paycation, which collapsed in 2014, the year before Evolution Travel was born. A lot of people lost money on Paycation, paying their monthly fees without earning any commissions or rewards. David McCovy's involvement in both systems might not be a good sign for the future of Evolution Travel.

Time To Recruit!

The undisguised emphasis on recruitment, with just the barest nod to actual travel-related training or services, makes it appear as an MLM scheme. For those who knowingly want to join an MLM scheme, it's one thing, but for those who sincerely want a career in the travel industry, it must be a disappointment. The FTC has warned that companies that focus on recruiting mainly are likely to be pyramid schemes.

Recruiting people to earn money isn’t for everyone. So, If you're looking for a business opportunity that doesn't require you to recruit people, you can try sites like Wealthy Affiliate . If you're just looking to make some extra income, you can also try sites like SurveyJunkie.com or Swagbucks.com . There is no recruiting involved for those sites.

No Income Disclosure Statement

While the 80% commissions sound fantastic, remember that Evolution Travel is itself an affiliate and the sales arm of the Archer Travel Group . Commissions are based on the percentage of profit after Archer has paid Evolution, and those margins may be very thin. Because they don't disclose package prices or income statements, it's difficult to assess how much travel commissions might actually be.

It’s difficult to join anything when you have no clue of the earning potential. Fortunately, there are other alternatives out there like My Best Work At Home Recommendation where you know exactly what you will earn with a straightforward commission plan.

You can also earn a side income with straightforward payment terms with sites like SurveyJunkie.com and Swagbucks.com .

Is Evolution Travel Legit or a Scam?

Evolution Travel is bordering on being a pyramid scheme because their main focus seems to be on recruiting. So personally I would avoid it.

And for those who want a legitimate travel career, Evolution Travel is probably not the best option for you either. It doesn't seem to really help you build a career in the travel and hospitality industry,  instead it will push you to focus on selling more memberships to more people in order to recover your investment.

If you're looking for a business opportunity that will enable you to make a full-time or part-time income online, you might want to try My Best Work At Home Recommendation . So, if you're interested in travel or any niche for that matter, they will teach you how to create an online business and its free to get started.

So, there you have my opinion on Evolution Travel. If you have any experience using Evolution Travel or want to share your thoughts, please feel free to leave a comment below.

Until next time,

Eddy with a Y

14 thoughts on “Evolution Travel Review: A Travel MLM Scam or Legit?”

I have been with Evolution/Archer since March 2023, having just left a 60k+ a year paycheck due to burn out. I love travel and I really love all the support and training I’ve received. I am a people person and I enjoy helping others learn and grow. While I did decide to get into the “optional” side of it by building and mentoring a team, we are first and foremost, travel agents. One of my teammates that I mentor just booked a 4-stateroom cruise for a week on land and a week on cruise in Alaska. She is less than a month into being a travel agent and the booking totaled almost $22k! Her commission check will be about $3,130. As her mentor, I will be paid about $391. But it’s not the pay that keeps me going as a mentor, it’s about the people on my team that motivate me to connect and train them. And even when I earn the 10%, I am still booking travel as well! I love the perks, the structure and the comradery. MLM? I don’t know. Scam? Definitely not!

I sat through 2 of these webinars delivered by 2 different agents and was very interested in what I saw. The deterrent was the monthly fee since my current part time income is so low and I need the money for food. I’m curious what kind of experience you’ve had earning money up to this point? Is it viable as a source of consistent income and is easy or difficult getting clients? I’m still considering signing up, but I’m on the fence until I know if I will be wasting my time or actually generating real income like I would at a regular job. I like the looks of the training and support they claim to give, but is it true and is the training detailed enough to hit the ground running?

I Love working for them. Although I don’t have a team yet I have had very good conversations. Yes there is 69.95 you can write it off at the end of the year. Keep in mind for E&O you would pay Alot more.If you get trainings on your own you have to pay, plus a website, marketing templates, Archer provides all this with that fee.Tons of support. If you stay consistent it is totally worth it 👌

I just jpined and have burned by MLMs in the past. But though we can recruit a team and get paid when they join we make nothing off anyo e they pick to build their own team and must mentor ours closely. I was with Wealthy Affiliate but dont have time to write continually to push Amazon products for pennies so webshall see how it goes!

I wish you success in whatever venture you decide on. Affiliate marketing isn’t about pushing amazon products. Amazon is one of many affiliate programs to promote. WA recommends it for beginners because they tend to accept everyone and easy to get into. But there are affiliate companies and niches that pay dollars and hundreds of it. So don’t limit yourself.

They told me it’s 69.95 since it’s the middle of summer. And that it’ll never be this low again. But now I’ve seen a bunch of people say that the 69.95 investment has been an option through many Zoom calls before. Don’t trust them.

The $69.95 is a promotional price offered by the company. The usual enrollment fee is $299.00. Evolution is choosing to continue to offer enrollment for the promotional price of $69.95 as a courtesy to anyone signing up. If they choose to continue to offer that price forever, that is their choice. That doesn’t make it a scam.

While it seems fishy with the recruitment part you don’t have to do that. It’s not a “full time job” more of a side thing to pick up extra money. I don’t recruit and have made decent commissions on just booking.

I am a full time entrepreneur and I’m also a beginner it’s the summer time I’m from Louisiana and people are ready to vacation due to the pandemic

I found a posting for a travel agent role on LinkedIn, since I’m looking for another remote job. What I’ve got now is nowhere near enough to pay the bills. I found this through a search on Archer Travel Group, probably an offshoot of Evolution. They sent me a prerecorded webinar on LinkedIn, and after reading this, I won’t be moving forward with them. I’m not gonna make a living doing my customers like this.

Sat through the hour and a half zoom call to only be told at the end how much it costs a month to continue working for them. I am extremely disappointed in them.

If you ever need help planning travel DONT use this agent. They are pleasant with receiving your money but give you complications out this world when we are greatly impacted and can’t travel!!! While Julie not to respond by email or phone is very unprofessional

I’m sorry you had that experience with one of the agents. There are competent agents willing to assist you with your needs.

for international agents ( outside the US ) is a total scam, I joined and it was the worst experience

Scam Alerts and Red Flags

While Evolution Travel operates as an MLM company , it’s essential to be aware of common scam alerts and red flags associated with pyramid schemes. Look out for misleading income claims, pressure to recruit, and a heavy focus on upfront payments or purchases. Conducting a thorough investigation into consumer complaints and fraud reports can provide valuable insights into the company’s practices.

This documentation will be useful if you need to escalate your refund request or if you need to dispute the charges with your credit card company or financial institution.

Provide them with all relevant information, including documentation of your attempts to resolve the issue with Evolution Travel. The credit card company will initiate an investigation and may refund your money if they find the dispute valid.
  • Seek Legal Advice: If all attempts to get a refund fail, and you believe you have a legitimate claim, you may want to consult with a consumer protection attorney. They can provide guidance on your rights and the legal options available to you.

Remember, the specific refund process and success rate may vary depending on the circumstances, terms and conditions, and applicable laws. It’s crucial to thoroughly review your contract and seek advice from professionals if needed.

Who owns Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel is owned by David McCovy. He is the founder and owner of the company. As the owner, McCovy is responsible for the overall management and direction of Evolution Travel. He may also be involved in strategic decision-making, business development, and establishing partnerships within the travel industry.

Ownership details can often be found on the company’s official website or in public records related to business registration and incorporation. It’s always a good idea to verify this information through reliable sources or by directly contacting Evolution Travel’s customer service.

Understanding the ownership of a company can provide insights into its leadership, vision, and accountability. However, it’s important to evaluate the legitimacy and reputation of a company based on its business practices, customer reviews, and industry recognition, in addition to ownership details.

Evolution Travel Review (2024) – OTO and Bonuses Worth It?

Welcome to this Evolution Travel review (2024).

If you’re wondering if Evolution Travel is legitimate or a scam, you’ve come to the right place.

Evolution Travel Review

It’s good to do some research beforehand just so you don’t fall for the wrong product. It’s better to put in some time and effort researching something than lose money and time on something that doesn’t work. There are hundreds if not thousands of bogus products that do you more harm than good.

They will only waste your time and cost you money that you could have avoided by putting in the time for some research. As they say, it’s never too late, so it’s a good thing you’ve set aside some time to learn more about Evolution Travel.

Information overload is one of the main reasons why people fail online. They are overwhelmed by what they see in front of them. There are MLM websites that lure people in, then there are survey completion sites. There are investment sites that aim to multiply your money, there are other money-making platforms.

>> Click here for my #1 recommendation

There’s too much to choose from and this is where research comes in.

Here’s what we shall be covering in this review:

Evolution Travel Review – Features Overview

Some call Evolution Travel a scam and then there are some who call it legitimate. Evolution Travel works and can get the job done but there are better alternatives if you know where to look.

The learning curve is a bit too steep for most people, so it’s not best suited for everyone. Even if you consider all the bonuses and OTO offers, it’s still not worth it.

Affiliate marketing is a proven business model and that’s what I recommend to everyone because it’s beginner-friendly and costs little to nothing. The investment required is pretty much zero compared to most online businesses. If you’re looking to build an online business that is sustainable, you should consider affiliate marketing.

It will also stand the test of time if you wonder. Most systems require you to put in a huge amount just to get started, but not in this case. You don’t even have to worry about product creation and inventory management either. We’re living in the digital age so there’s no need to promote physical products as digital ones pay better commissions.

What to Promote

You can opt to create your own products if you want to keep all the money or promote someone else’s products and get up to 80% commissions like with ClickBank products. There are several affiliate networks that you can use and then there are hundreds of different product categories.

What’s the best part here? You can set your own working hours and work from wherever you like and live the dream – the laptop lifestyle.

Other business models also require you to have a sizable advertising budget where you need to put in thousands of dollars.

Here, you can start for free and make in excess of hundreds of dollars on a daily basis. This will come once you have gained enough experience. There are far better options than Evolution Travel.

Why Should You Stay Away from Evolution Travel

Although Evolution Travel may be legitimate, there are several reasons why you should consider an alternative instead. Selecting something that’s a little more guaranteed is the way to go as it’s the more sustainable option.

Most businesses fall into the following categories:

  • Software services (SaaS) including apps
  • Digital products
  • Memberships
  • Coaching programs & courses

These work and if you come across a legit platform, that’s a cherry on top. However, most of these require significant investment from the client, and then again, nothing is a guarantee.

This is where affiliate marketing easily beats most of the other models out there. The overhead is low to none, and the learning curve isn’t that big. Even if you’re a newbie, you still can get hold of the basics and do well.

For the many reasons mentioned above, we can’t recommend Evolution Travel even though it can be legitimate.

What’s the Best Business Model

The answer is – anything that works well for you. I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but this is true.

Any business model can be ‘best’ for you as long as you get results.

For 90% of people, however, affiliate marketing is the model I recommend.

Why if you may ask?

Here are several reasons why I believe you should consider it:

  • The costs are minimal – you can get started for free. If you have an ad budget, that’s even better as you can try paid traffic sources like Facebook Ads.
  • The learning curve is small.
  • You don’t need to have a product of your own.
  • You are never married to a product. You can promote and sell whatever you like.
  • Commission rates for the sales you bring are higher especially if you sell digital goods.
  • You don’t even need to have your own website (even though you would benefit from having one).
  • You can get started right away and start promoting (and get sales).

Unlike other businesses that have overhead expenses, this one is the best for most people as it’s not hard to get sales once you get things right. As a marketer, the learning curve isn’t that steep.

Once you make some profits as an affiliate, you can always expand and diversify a little if you feel like it.

Evolution Travel Review – Bonuses & OTOs – Is Evolution Travel Scam or Legit?

That brings us to the end of this Evolution Travel review. Evolution Travel is not a scam, it’s legitimate but you can certainly do better without it. You should ignore all the bonuses that are offered with it as those merely are shiny objects.

If you’re looking to build an online business and make money working from home, you should consider our top recommendation:

This is easily the top recommendation we can offer to anyone. It’s time-tested and sustainable and you can get started right now. Once you’ve acquired the required knowledge, you can work from home, set your own hours, and eventually get rid of the dreaded 9-5. Most product reviews are either too biased or are paid to promote shiny objects.

What better way to fire your boss and eventually live life on your own terms? It’s more than worth it if you ask me. Taking in some time to acquire a new skill and using it to replace your old job, it’s a feeling you’ll absolutely love. Granted it won’t take 5 minutes but once you make it work, the sky is the limit.

Unless you skipped straight to the end of this Evolution Travel review, you would already know the business model by now. It’s a proven system for beginners so even if you have absolutely zero experience online, this will work for you provided you put in the work. The question remains – will you take action and start now?

Learning a new skill and taking consistent action on it will only take you a few days or a few months at max. Isn’t it better than working all day long for the rest of your life? If you ask us, it’s worth it.

Evolution Travel Review – Final Words

Affiliate marketing is one of the simplest systems in place. All you have to do is take action and it will work for you. If you acquire the required information and act on it, you will succeed, and that’s a guarantee.

On the other hand, not much will change if you acquire the knowledge and don’t do anything with it. All you need to do is move the needle; eventually, things will get better once you gain experience and learn from your failures.

It’s also a good idea to set up a checklist so you can refer to it at a later time. This will skyrocket your results.

Every business is pretty much the same, and affiliate business is no exception. It’s just like any other business out there and the cold hard truth is that it will take some effort from your end to make it work. You should put in some effort and refrain from using automation software at least in the initial stages.

Getting Results

Once you get the ball rolling, the incredible journey begins. You will continue to make money all day long and sometimes even when you’re asleep. That’s passive income at its best. The snowball effect kicks in and will make your journey simpler as you progress.

Once it works for you, that will open many more options. You can use the cash and invest a portion into other business models that you’re fascinated by. Alternatively, you can go the investing route and try to grow your capital. Watching your money grow by itself is a sight to behold that you’ll absolutely love.

Now that may sound a bit too far-stretched but it can turn into reality if you put in the work. Nothing will work unless you do and that’s a fact. There are people who promote systems that promote push-button methods for making money online but those seldom work.

Think about it for a minute. If these work for once, no one will see these methods for pennies. Those are just shiny objects, and they won’t get you results. Those will make the product creator some cash but not you.

Give it a shot and you will not regret it.

My #1 Recommendation for Making Money Online in 2024

This beginner-friendly system works for everyone and takes less than 15 minutes per day.

Is my evolution travel a pyramid scheme?

Pyramid schemes are illegal and often collapse, leaving investors with nothing. It’s crucial to differentiate them from legitimate business opportunities.

A pyramid scheme involves promising rewards for recruiting members. Those at the top profit most, while those at the bottom lose their investment.

No product or service is a key pyramid scheme sign. If a business relies on recruiting for earnings, it’s likely a pyramid scheme.

High upfront costs are another red flag. Pyramid schemes often demand substantial initial investments.

Evolution Travel doesn’t fit these signs. It sells travel services, not relying on recruitment for profits. There are no indications of promised benefits for recruiting. Thus, it’s not a pyramid scheme.

Evolution Travel Review: Legit Or A Scam?

is evolution travel worth it

A lot of people love to travel. Being able to visit different places, having the adventure of a lifetime, meeting new people, and immersing oneself in a different culture.

Travelling is one of the most common activities that people do when they are looking to unwind, relax, destress, or escape from the everyday stresses of life.

This is why people are always looking forward to their next travel escape, making plans in advance and arranging their schedules.

This is also why the demand for travel packages, discounts, and deals are high. Traveling is an expensive activity and these deals and packages can help make going on vacation a bit easy on the wallet.

Now fortunately for you, there is a way for you to take advantage of this demand and earn some money. There are a lot of companies out there offering opportunities to make money selling and promoting travel packages.

One such company is called Evolution Travel. It is a multilevel marketing (MLM) company that acts like a travel agency offering travel discounts and packages.

To make money here, you become one of their remote travel agents and earn commissions for selling the companys products.

The amount of money you can earn will depend on a lot of factors but being a member can also help you save on your next travel trip. But is Evolution Travel really a legit opportunity to make money or is it just a scam that you should avoid?

Evolution Travel is A Legit Opportunity To Make Money

Evolution Travel is an MLM company that offers travel deals and packages to people who are looking for affordable ways to take a vacation.

As an MLM company, it also offers you an opportunity to make money by becoming one of their remote travel agents and sell the products that the company offers.

Based on what I’ve seen so far, I can say that the opportunity that Evolution Travel offers is very much legitimate. You can really make money as a travel agent selling the travel packages and discounts that the company offers.

The good thing here is that you can also take advantage of these packages and have an affordable vacation yourself.

  • My Crazy Blogging Experiment That Now Earns Me $10,000 Per Month
  • How To Setup Your Own Money Making Blog

Of course, this doesn’t mean there aren’t any issues or problems with this opportunity. Chief among the issues is how expensive it is to keep your membership with the company.

Another issue is that Evolution Travel is limited to its exposure to top airlines, hotels, and travel destinations.

There are also a lot of complaints with some of the company’s travel agents. And finally, the compensation plan seems to focus more on recruitment.

In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail the issues and complaints about Evolution Travel.

Who Uses Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel is designed for two types of people, with one being those who are looking for affordable travel packages and deals to help lower the cost of going on vacation. The other types are those looking for opportunities to make some money on the side.

For people who are traveling, the company has a wide array of travel packages and deals.

These travel packages can help lower the cost of your travel plans and make your vacation affordable and easier on the wallet.

The company has a lot of packages to choose from and the travel agents can also help you look for the package that suits you needs.

For people looking to make money, Evolution Travel offers an opportunity to become a remote travel agent and sell the packages and deals they have.

You get to earn commissions whenever you make a sale. You can also make money recruiting people into the program and building your team of travel agents.

In the next section, I’ll discuss in more detail how this opportunity works.

How Does Evolution Travel Work?

Evolution Travel is a company that offers travel packages, discounts, and coupons that can make traveling for people more affordable.

Now, the products the company offers don’t come from them, but from a third-party provider called Archer Travel Services, Inc. So Evolution Travel just serves as an affiliate for a different company.

Now to be a travel agent, you’ll need to purchase the Professional Travel Agent (PTA) Package. It initially costs $299 to be a member, but that amount can be as little as $49 if it’s on sale.

There is also a monthly fee that you need to pay if you want to qualify for commissions. The fee is $69.95 a month.

Once you are a member, you can start earning commissions and bonuses. The company has 6 levels that you need to achieve.

They are Consultant, Executive Consultant, Bronze Consultant, Silver Consultant, Gold Consultant, and Platinum Consultant.

You get more commissions and bonuses the higher your level is. To increase the level, you’ll need to sell a certain number of PTA packages and have a certain number of active members.

Now as a travel agent, you get to earn 90% commissions when you sell the products. But, 80% will only go to you and the 10% will go to your sponsor. It’s important to note that not all products earn you commissions.

You’ll also get a customizable website, but you’ll need your own web hosting and domain name for it. You also get a discount directory where you can find discounts for your own personal travel.

To get a complete view of Evolution Travel’s compensation plan, click this link to see the complete list of what the company offers.

What Are People Saying about Evolution Travel?

Now reviews and comments about Evolution Travel are not really that good. Yes, a lot of them say the MLM company is legit and you can really make some money from the opportunity.

However, most of them don’t really recommend what this company offers and one of the main reasons for that is how expensive the opportunity can be.

is evolution travel worth it

Yes, the cost of the membership package can go down to as low as $49, but you’ll have to pay a monthly fee of $69.95 just to qualify for commissions.

Paying $70 a month can be a bit steep, especially since making money is not really guaranteed with this opportunity.

And aside from the monthly fee you also have to pay for your own web hosting and domain name, which will add to your monthly cost.

Another issue with Evolution Travel is that it is an affiliate of Archer Travel Service, Inc., which means the travel network that they have access to is limited.

This means that they likely won’t have discounts or packages that involves some of the top airlines, hotels, and travel destinations.

There are also a lot of complaints about unethical travel agents. Now, this is something that cannot really be avoided, especially with opportunities like this one.

A lot of people who become travel agents are really only after the money-making aspect of this opportunity. So, their main goal will just be to make a sale and won’t really care much about anything else.

Since the company also has certain requirements to level up, agents will also push hard for people to purchase the PTA packages.

This brings the last issue about Evolution Travel, which is its compensation plan is really focused more on recruitment.

Yes, they are selling a product, but the product is the membership to the company, so it’s still basically recruitment.

This opportunity is really just a pyramid scheme in disguise and relying on recruitment to make money is not really a sustainable opportunity.

What I Like about Evolution Travel

Now that we know what Evolution Travel is and what they are able to bring to the table, it’s time to discuss what I like about this opportunity.

  • One of the things that I like about Evolution Travel is the discount list that they will give to each travel agent. This is great since it allows you to save some money on your next travel plans.
  • I also like that Evolution Travel is backed by Archer Travel Service, Inc. Yes, it somehow limits its travel network reach but the company is still solid and has been in the industry since 1952. The fact that Evolution Travel is backed by them is already a big plus for this opportunity.

What I Dislike about Evolution Travel

Of course, not everything about Evolution Travel is good and dandy, as there are also things about this opportunity that I don’t like.

  • The first thing that I don’t like about Evolution Travel is that your membership can be a bit expensive. You have to pay the company $70 a month just so your account can qualify for commissions. Then, you’ll also need your own web hosting and domain name for the website that they will provide you. This will add up to the cost of your membership and it’s a lot of money to spend, especially if you’re not making enough or earning at all.
  • I also don’t like that Evolution Travel’s compensation plan is really focused more on recruitment. To raise your rankings, you’ll need to recruit a certain number of people and keep them active as well. The number of new recruits will rise as your level rises as well, so this MLM is really all about recruitment.

Do I Recommend Evolution Travel?

After learning more about what Evolution Travel is and what they can offer, I would say that this is an opportunity that is not really worth checking out.

is evolution travel worth it

Yes, you can get travel discounts by becoming a travel agent for the company but that’s really the only benefit you can get from this opportunity which is already negated by the monthly membership fee.

Sure, you have the possibility to make money here, but you’ll need to recruit a lot of people to be a travel agent as well to really make money.

It’s already hard to make money with MLM, considering the many factors needed in order for you to earn. But Evolution Travel has made it even harder by making their compensation plan focus more on recruitment.

You really have to be a good recruiter and motivator since you’ll also need to have active members in your team to level up your rank.

This type of compensation is not really sustainable since you’ll soon run out of people to recruit to be a member.

This is why MLM companies that focus on recruitment are often labeled as scams since the model is not really sustainable. There are a lot of better opportunities out there than what Evolution Travel offers.

Evolution Travel Is a Scam

Is Evolution Travel a Scam or Can You Become a Travel Agent?

Facebook

Is Evolution Travel a scam or not? That’s the very question I’ve seen people asking online about this network marketing travel club. Being somewhat of a traveller myself, it got me curious. I wanted to see if this is worthwhile and whether you can really make any decent money with it like they claim.

Read on to find out more about the Evolution Travel MLM scheme….

Evolution Travel Is a Scam

Founders: David McCovy

Price To Join: $30 + $69.95/Month

My Rating: 2/10

~ Evolution Travel Reviews ~

There are so many network marketing/MLM companies around these days, mostly based in the United States. There have always been some, but it seems like it’s becoming the business operation method of choice nowadays.

It’s always been popular with the masses, as old timers like Avon and Amway have proven over the years. However, sometimes I’m still in awe at how many people eagerly jump on board with these schemes as both customers and distributors.

Recently a travel MLM called Evolution Travel found its way onto my radar as I was doing some research. I like to travel a bit, so it got me really interested as a way to maybe get some travel deals and make cash in the process. Anyway, I did some research and wrote up a review on what I found out about it.

I created my website to help people find decent ways to make some money, especially on the internet. The focus is predominantly on writing reviews of schemes that claim can make you money, or training that also claims it can show you how to make money. The idea of the reviews is to weed out the bad stuff and expose the good stuff.

Now while the internet is awesome in many ways when it comes to making money, it’s also attracted a lot of scammers because of that reason. We all have to be wary, and reviews help us make smarter and wiser choices.

Congrats on finding your way to my review. It proves you’re intelligent enough to do your research before joining something. Chances are you’ll never become the victim of a scam.

Let’s now see how Evolution Travel measures up and whether it’s worthwhile joining.

Evolution Travel Products

The thing here is, Evolution Travel doesn’t really have any of its own products, which makes things a little dubious as far as network marketing goes and joining this as a business opportunity.

Basically what the company has done is establish joint venture partnerships with travel companies, hotels, resorts and so on, where it acts as an affiliate for these services. And basically when you organise travel for people, you are acting as an affiliate for these companies.

Some of their partners include the following:

  • Royal Caribbean Cruises
  • Southwest Vacations
  • Universal Orlando
  • Carnival Cruises
  • United Vacations
  • And many more…

These companies are essentially the vendors and Evolution Travel and its distributors are their affiliates.

Basically what you’re signing up for is your own virtual third party travel agency, where you score some discounts for yourself and sell travel packages and discount deals to others on behalf of Evolution Travel, who does it on behalf of the actual vendors.

Some of the rewards you’ll be eligible for, and the things you can sell others on, include things like:

  • Travel points
  • Free cruises
  • Travel agent discount (industry discounts)
  • Rewards and discount son merchandise
  • Cheaper hotel deals
  • And loads more stuff…

Evolution Travel Agent Perks

Evolution Travel Income Disclosure Statement

By law each and every MLM company is supposed to provide a recent income disclosure statement on their websites. Unfortunately I can’t find one anywhere on the Evolution Travel site.

I generally like to include a few statistics so people know what the average consultant or distributor earns per year. Without the income disclosure there really is no way of knowing.

The MLM Business Opportunity

In the past I’ve been involved in a few MLM schemes (Amway was one of them). Most of them work pretty much the same way. I’m not a fan of this business model from a distributor’s viewpoint and I have my reasons, which I’ll explain in this section.

There is a very good reason why MLM is becoming increasingly popular with businesses the world over. This style of selling and distribution just gives the company so many benefits. Unfortunately, in the process, benefits get stripped from its workforce.

A regular retailer has to pay wages and salaries to its workforce, along with a whole bunch of other overheads. When it comes to MLM, most of the workforce (distributors) actually work for free, only getting paid something when they’ve earned a commission or bonus.

As a consultant (or travel agent) for Evolution Travel, you don’t get paid an hourly rate, nor do you get a retainer of any kind. In fact, you actually PAY THEM for the right to be their sales rep. And an unpaid sales rep at that. You even cover all your own operating expenses. The company pays for nothing.

Basically the MLM company rakes in bucket loads of cash from the efforts of its free workforce, then pays out a bit of money in commissions and bonuses. ET saves heaps on wages, as well as advertising and promotion, because the consultants are taking care of all that.

No network marketing deal will make you money unless you recruit like crazy. Because of this need to recruit to get anywhere, essentially its the free workers who are also expanding the free worker base and growing the company, again for the promise of commissions and bonuses.

For the MLM company this is a phenomenal deal, and a smart way to conduct business. However, the deal is far less sweet for those doing most of the work and spending most of the money – the consultants. Basically the majority of workers are down on the bottom of the MLM ladder, where you make the least amount of money and do the most amount of work.

These network marketing schemes are always over-hyped as well, especially at their official meetings and seminars. You’ll be dazzled with figures of how much money you can make and how you’ll soon be living this amazing lifestyle.

This is all great and all, but the fact remains that only about 1% or less of people ever achieve these lofty goals through MLM ventures. The other 99% make up the numbers to shoulder the workload and buy most of the products (in most cases).

They claim you own your own business, and you have to shoulder all the expenses, but at the end of the day you really own nothing. You can’t sell your MLM distributorship because the company owns everything.

Like I said earlier, you are nothing but an unpaid sales rep.

MLM businesses also tend to force their consultants to buy products, thus making their unpaid workforce their main customer base in the process.

Seriously, that sucks, and there are much better ways to make good money.

Copy how I make $1000s a month in passive income online!

Is Evolution Travel An Illegal Pyramid Scheme?

Because so many MLM schemes use the pyramid compensation structure, they are often accused of operating illegal pyramid schemes. Most of the time this is a false label.

The majority of MLM schemes have genuine products that can be sold at a retail level, which helps them avoid the illegal pyramid tag. To be considered the illegal variety, the company has to rely solely on recruiting new members to make money.

Now it’s an interesting situation when it comes to Evolution Travel, because this company actually has no products of its own. It acts as a third party rep or affiliate for the tourism and travel vendors.

This is fine if Evolution Travel just operates as a third party travel agent, but because they’ve created this multi level marketing scheme as part of their business, to me it looks like they are operating an illegal pyramid scheme, because everything is reliant on recruitment of new members and the injection of money from these new members.

As they don’t have their own products, what else can this really be?

At best ET falls into an extremely dark grey area when it comes to pyramid schemes.

Target Market

It never ceases to amaze me just how many people get excited to join some network marketing deal, considering how poor the deal is in reality. But I guess it’s because everything is already established.

So for those people looking for something else to get involved in other than their job (or maybe they hope to replace their job), MLM looks attractive. They can simply buy in, do some rudimentary training, then be off selling and recruiting.

You never actually own anything when you join these schemes though. That’s a massive negative. Basically you’re nothing more than a worker without any of the benefits you get with a job. You also have to cover all your own expenses, and if you want to walk away, that’s all you get to do, because you haven’t built an asset you can sell.

What I Like

  • At least the travel business is a lot more sexy and exciting than MLM companies operating in things like health and wellness (the most over saturated MLM niche there is)
  • Archer Travel has been around since the 1950s
  • You may get some decent travel discounts if you’re a frequent traveller
  • You get a replica website

What I Don’t Like and Red Flags

  • The monthly costs to remain eligible as a “travel agent” are quite high
  • You’ll likely annoy all the people you know
  • Evolution Travel doesn’t have any of its own products to offer
  • It’s very likely a pyramid scheme
  • The only path to success is through massive recruitment
  • The company gets all the advantages
  • You basically form a part of a large free workforce
  • Most of the positive reviews you find online appear to be written by members of Evolution Travel
  • Most people fail miserably with MLM, with some 95% of people not even making a profit

Archer Travel

I’ve done multi level marketing and I’ve done affiliate marketing. To me, affiliate marketing wins the battle hands down on so many levels.

It’s way less work for a start, not to mention heaps cheaper to do. There’s no buying and selling of products, paying membership fees or having to recruit people to make money.

I make money with my online affiliate marketing gig every single day, and I even make money while I sleep. All over the world multiple millions of people are making money this way. To be successful, all you need to do is follow some great training . That’s what I did and it works.

You get to work from the comfort of home, set your own hours, be your own boss and build up multiple streams of passive income. It’s nearly all profit too, as overheads are minimal.

You can do it part-time, but if you aim for making it your fulltime income, you’ll start to enjoy lifestyle freedom, because there’s no limit on what you can earn and you’ll have both time and money together.

Is Evolution Travel a Scam?

Posted on Last updated: September 10, 2023

It’s an entrepreneur’s ultimate dream to make money while traveling. There’s one Las Vegas, Nevada-based biz op named Evolution Travel which says you can travel and make money at the same time.

Is it a scam or a legit program? We explore the business opportunity and reveal its features in this evolution travel review.

🌟 Top Picks for Online Earnings! 🌟

Dive into our handpicked selection of the best platforms to boost your online income. Trusted by thousands, these platforms are a must-try for anyone looking to make money online.

What is Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel Company Profile

Evolution Travel was founded in 2015 by David McCovy. It claims to be a home-based travel business, and you get access to required training, customer support, and additional help with closing sales. They say their training can help you make money online while you travel.

There’s a lot of hype surrounding the travel agency, but at the root level, it’s merely an  MLM compan y. The company doesn’t have products of its own either. They provide travel discounts, vouchers, and various packages on Hotels, Flights, Park Tickets, and Car Rentals. If you come across  PlanNet Marketing , you’ll know there’s a striking resemblance between the two.

Evolution Travel has joined hands with Archer Travel Group, and they provide specialized travel/tour packages together. The company does offer a membership through which you can opt to become an agent and promote the company as an independent distributor.

Can You Make Money When You Join Evolution Travel?

Yes, you can. There are a few ways:

  • Either sell the travel packages as a distributor.
  • Recruit people under you and get them to promote the program.

In either case, you will need to sign up as an agent, which will cost $30 one-time and $69.95 recurring monthly. This professional travel agent package is expensive if you think about it. Most legitimate programs don’t charge you a dime and are free to sign up as an affiliate.

As an independent distributor, you get 90% commissions from the travel package sales, including  WordPress  website, video training, and discount coupons, which you can use on your next travel.

However, recruiting isn’t something most people enjoy. No one likes to pitch people all the time and push them to join a program. The company even encourages you to list your family members and friends so they can be ‘pitched’ at one stage, which is a bad idea.

Most agents rely on deception to get sales and share false incentives. It is not true with everyone, though. The program relies on recruiting to generate revenue which is a red flag, and it’s just a matter of time before FTC  takes an action  against them.

Is Evolution Travel a company with its own products?

To begin with, Evolution Travel does not have its own products. This firm is affiliated with Archer Travel Service. The former offers Evolution Travel vacation packages, discounts, and coupons.

So Evolution Trip is recruiting new members and providing them with Archer Travel Service discounts, coupons, and travel packages.

The Archer Travel Service booking search engine appears to have been integrated into Evolution Travel’s platform. Evolution Travel agencies and clients may now use this booking search engine to find cheap flights.

Here are some of the benefits that Evolution Travel agents enjoy.

Evolution Travel Agent Perks

Who Are The Evolution Travel Partners?

Evolution Travel Sign Up

Evolution Travel and Archer Travel Service have collaborated with some of the travel industry’s biggest names to bring you even more savings, travel packages, and offers.

Here are a few of their current trip companions:

  • Southwest Vacations
  • Universal Studios Florida
  • Carnival Cruise Lines
  • Cruises by Royal Caribbean
  • United Vacations

What Roles Do Professional Travel Agents Have?

Travel Agent

When you start as a Travel Agent, the first lesson you will learn is how to compile a list of people you believe could be enthusiastic about the opportunity or about traveling in general. Then you’ll contact those people and tell them about Evolution Travel.

Most Evolution Travel agencies would attempt to recruit someone to work for them. But that’s not all; now comes the tough part.

Pyramid schemes are MLM companies that focus on recruiting rather than product promotion. You should be aware that those who join Evolution Travel may not make a significant profit.

However, if you are a regular traveler, some Evolution Travel reviews claim that the membership is worth the money. And it may be an excellent side income for individuals who enjoy traveling.

How does Evolution Travel Works?

Become A Travel Agent With Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel works by offering members a home-based travel company. They provide training and assistance to members so they may market their travel bargains and sell travel packages.

It allows people to operate from home and sell their discounts and trip packages in exchange for commissions. It appears like both parties are benefiting, but in reality, Evolution Travel is the winning end since they save millions of dollars by employing network marketing. It is because it is only their members who are doing the job.

Evolution Travel services

It is essential that you grasp the items that the firm you want to work for sells. This way, you’ll know what to expect if you’re successful in becoming a member.

Evolution Travel offers travel savings, hotel reservations, and multiple vacation packages. According to my findings, this is because it has a partnership with Archer Travel Group, which has its own booking engine.

The firm does not have any items. Instead, they sell coupons, travel discounts, and vacation packages.

These services are the following:

  • Hotel Reservations
  • Car Rental Tickets
  • Theme park, sporting events, and concert tickets

Aside from the advantages these provide buyers – brokers can also gain in the following ways:

  • Free Cruise
  • Travel destinations
  • Travel Agents Discounts
  • Cash and Merchandise Rewards
  • Trips for familiarization

Evolution Travel is not the only company that provides these services. In truth, a significant number of other MLM companies perform these activities.

Here are a few of the most well-known travel MLMs:

  • PlanNet Marketing
  • iBuumerang
  • Goodlife USA
  • Jifu Travel

They all declare and claim to be unique, exclusive, and exceptional.

When in reality, they are all doing the same thing, but with various marketing tricks and platforms to make it appear like they are unique.

How Can Evolution Travel Help You Make Money?

Evolution Travel Ad

If you enjoy traveling, you’ll appreciate the opportunity to earn a commission on your private bookings for your family, friends, and acquaintances. But remember that the commission is self-motivated. To make it, you must hack it.

By white labeling, its booking system, Evolution Travel collaborates with Archer Travel Group, a cloud-based travel agency. It enables them to provide their consumers with vacation packages and discounts.

You earn commissions as an Evolution Travel affiliate when your customers book via the Evolution travel website. You will make a lot of money when you recruit new Evolution Travel affiliates. So here is a list of prospective commissions:

  • Travel Commission –  90% of all bookings are handled by Evolution Travel, with the remaining 10% handled by the Archer Travel Group. You can earn up to 80% of this, while the affiliate who recruited you (your sponsor) receives the remaining 10%.
  • Residual Commission –  You must be seated at the big table to obtain this. The corporation contributes a portion of its monthly sales to a pool that is divided among top-level executives and high-ranking affiliates.
  • Leadership Bonus –  To be eligible for this monthly bonus, you must have a Gold or Platinum level. Even so, there is a statutory time limit within which you can qualify.
  • Company Shares –  Before getting 20,000 firm shares, you must also have a Gold or Platinum rank (for three straight months without failing or losing the rank’s status). Archer Travel Group gives Evolution Travel 80% of the chicken feed commission but not 80% of the booking fee.

Here’s a quick rundown of Evolution Travel’s compensation plan if you want to increase your earnings. To increase your income, you must move up in the MLM scheme’s rankings, just like in any other MLM company.

Allow me to clarify something. Within Evolution Travel, there are various levels. The higher you progress through the levels, the more money you will make.

Consultants are the title given to all new Evolution Travel professional travel agents. Executive Consultants are consultants who have sold three professional travel agent packages.

So here are the Evolution Travel levels and what you need to do to earn more:

Evolution Travel Compensation Plan

  • Consultant : When you buy your first Professional Travel Agent (PTA) package.
  • Executive Consultant : When you sell 3 PTA packages
  • Bronze Consultant : Sold 6 Packages
  • Silver Consultant : Sold 9 Packages
  • Gold Consultant : Sold 15 packages to silver consultants with 3 downlines.
  • Platinum Consultant : Have a downline of at least 300 sold packages.
  • Special Recognition and Incentives –  Reach 3 Star Platinum, and you’ll be eligible for a Breitling watch. Consultants can also get a ring based on their monthly residual income. Assume your monthly residual income is $8,333. It qualifies you for a $100,000 ring. You are eligible for a million-dollar ring if your monthly income exceeds $83,333.

As an Evolution Travel PTA, you can earn money in two ways. First is by marketing other companies products, as Evolution Travel does not have its own product line. Instead, it provides travel deals and tour packages from affiliated hospitality companies. These include hotel, cruise, car rental, and event discounts.

The second way to profit from Evolution Travel is to become a professional travel agent and recruit others to join your downline. Every successful sale made by your team members earns you a commission.

Things To Consider About Evolution Travel

Is evolution travel accredited by the bbb.

Evolution Travel Bbb Rating

If you are the type of person who only trusts businesses that are BBB accredited, you will be displeased to discover that Evolution Travel is not BBB accredited.

The screenshot below shows an A+ for Evolution Travel’s BBB Ratings. But despite having customer reviews, these are not used in the calculation of BBB Ratings.

Evolution Travel has yet to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau despite meeting the requirements.

Is Evolution Travel a Pyramid Scheme?

What Is A Pyramid Scheme

The most concerning issue about Evolution Travel is that it could be an illegal pyramid scheme. But no. The Evolution Travel program is not a pyramid scheme.

Members of the company make money by selling their travel tickets and bookings. And they don’t have to focus exclusively on recruitment to make money.

Even if this is the case, it is advisable to inquire whether Evolution Travel is a ploy for a pyramid scheme. Let’s find out what a pyramid scheme is compared to legitimate marketing.

Pyramid schemes, according to the FTC, are hard to recognize right away, but they all have one thing in common: they promise people a lot of money in exchange for recruiting people to join their program.

If you read the definition of a pyramid scheme and then look at Evolution Travel again, you will agree that it has a high probability of being a pyramid scheme.

Expensive Business Venture

Paying a $30 one-time fee is acceptable, but charging $70 per month is not (in my opinion).

For $70 per month, you’ll have access to your Evolution Travel back office, where you’ll receive some basic training, support, and updates. Evolution Travel does not provide anything worth paying $70 for and is overpriced.

Maybe it’s worth it at first because you’ll get some training and support, but why would you pay $70 a month for that? They have regular webinars and updates, but nothing worth $70 every month. Personally, I have no intention of paying $70 per month and losing all of my friends in the process.

Success is rare with Evolution Travel.

Yes, you read that correctly. Success is difficult to achieve if you are a member of Evolution Travel or any MLM company. It is worth noting that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

These companies have sales quotas that require members to sell a certain number of products to receive commissions. If they are unable to do so, they must purchase the products for their own consumption.

And it is why MLM members spend a lot of their own money before they can even recruit one person into the company.

This Kind of Business Scheme is Unsustainable in the Long Run

With the popularity of travel industry websites like Skyscanner , FareCompare, Booking.com , and  Agoda , among millennials and Gen Zs, the Evolution Travel business scheme will not be viable in the long run. Perhaps this type of business will appeal to more affluent boomers who still want lavish adventures and handy, albeit traditional, vacations.

This, however, does not appeal to the younger generation, who are frequently on a tight budget, prefer to backpack across Europe or Southeast Asia, and seek unique experiences.

Mixed Reviews About Evolution Travel

Evolution Travel Feedback

Evolution Travel is almost identical to Paycation, which went bankrupt in 2014, the year before Evolution Travel was founded. Many people lost money on Paycation because they paid their service charges without generating commissions or rewards. David McCovy’s involvement in both systems may not reflect well on Evolution Travel’s future.

Pros About Evolution Travel

  • The founder is a Business Expert –  David McCovy is the Evolution Travel founder and is a successful businessman and entrepreneur. David Mccovy is an expert in the Multi-Level Market domain; prior to establishing Evolution Travel, he was a top member of other multi-level market companies.
  • Perfect for regular travelers –  If you travel frequently, evolution travel is advantageous and very beneficial. It is ideal for businessmen who travel frequently or if you enjoy taking vacations every now and then.
  • Established reputation –  An MLM has a 5-year average lifespan. And Evolution Travel has been in business for five years. They also don’t appear to be slowing down. It means that there is a good chance that this company will continue to exist in the future.
  • Good Partnerships –  Although Evolution Travel was founded in 2015, they partnered with Archer Travel Group, a very experienced travel company that was founded in 1952. So it’s a good sign that they’ve partnered with one of the industry’s pioneers. Mr. McCovy, the founder of Evolution Travel, has also founded two other multi-level marketing companies, Paycation (now known as TraVerus Global) and 5LINX.

Cons About Evolution Travel

  • No income disclosure statement –  Evolution Travel does not disclose its earnings. An income disclosure is a document that shows members’ earnings. It is intended to demonstrate that the company and its members are profitable. There is none in the case of Evolution Travel.
  • Hidden monthly costs –  The fact that you must pay $70 per month for the subscription means that you have assured yourself that you will lose money even if you do not earn money. What MLM companies don’t want their members to know is that the members are their most important customers. It is because they continue to pay for the monthly subscriptions regardless of what happens.
  • Costly Investment –  If you’re a newcomer, I don’t recommend Multi-level marketing programs because they’re too expensive. And you might not get a return on investment if you don’t have any networking experience. The same thing could happen even if you have participated in similar programs. Nonetheless, it is an expensive opportunity because, in addition to the $30 PTA package, you will pay an additional $70 per month.
  • Evolution Travel MLM is Not BBB Accredited –  Despite its A+ Ratings, Evolution Travel is not accredited by Better Business Bureau.
  • Emphasis on recruiting people –  The company’s stance still appears to have a strong focus on recruitment, as evidenced by how they ask new recruits to approach family and friends who may be interested in the business opportunity. It is not a good strategy because a majority of the people you hire will fail. Unless you are surrounded by people already involved in the travel industry.
  • Pay-to-play system –  On the one hand, it is reasonable for the company to charge a fee for members who use their brand, resources, and tools to provide travel services and earn money, particularly since Evolution Travel keeps only 10% of the commission. However, for members who are unable to find customers, this $70 per month can be a significant financial burden.
  • You will not earn anything unless you have a customer base. –  If you do not have a significant number of clients who trust your competency in arranging their vacation plans and will look for you when they travel, the only way you can generate money is by recruiting people. It is a more difficult path, as you must first achieve Gold Consultant status before your efforts will bear fruit. If you hadn’t left the company by then, it could take months, if not years.

Evolution Scam is not a scam, but it does have a few signs of a pyramid scheme. Most of the money they make is through recruiting. You can definitely make money promoting the travel biz op, but the odds are stacked against you.

Then there are some who recommend you stay away from the Evolution Travel scam, but that’s because they’ve probably had a bad experience as a distributor (for insert reason here).

If FTC shuts them down, you will lose all your earnings in a jiffy, and it’s never a good idea to stick to programs that are all about recruiting.  MOBE  was one such program FTC took it down last year.

There, however, is a legitimate way to make money online . The training teaches how to start your own profitable online business, which is our top recommendation for working from home. It shouldn’t surprise you, but a real business will require some commitment from your end. Definitely check it out if you’re ready to put in some work!

What is Good About Evolution Travel Jobs?

Though, Evolution Travel is not recommended as a business by me. But the company still has some good things I like.

I will not hesitate to state them below:

*** Association with Archer Travel ***

Archer Travel Group has been in business for a long time. The company was founded in 1952, and it is still an established company today.

This association is a plus to Evolution Travel, and it is a mark of a great thing. Every business will always consider the partnership and whom the company is business with.

*** Evolution Travel Founder Is a Business Guru ***

The founder of Evolution Travel (David McCovy) is a successful business person and an established entrepreneur.

He founded a high clothing store, he has the largest independent concert event company in Las Vegas, He has a great restaurant, and he also invested in the Hollywood film industry.

He is also an expert in the Multi-Level Market domain, before the establishment of Evolution Travel, David Mccovy was a top member of other multi-level market companies.

One of such companies includes 5Linx .

*** A Lot of Positive Review ***

I was looking out for a negative review of Evolution Travel, but I was amazed at what I discovered. The company has many positive reviews online.

This is a positive discovery despite the business structure being MLM models. See some of the positive reviews below:

what is an online travel site

Many RED Flags of Evolution Travel  Jobs

***evolution travel mlm may be going down***.

The website of Evolution Travel is currently not secure, i.e. The website is without HTTPS, and this has a lot of implications.

  • One such effect is that there is no responsible official to maintain the site again.
  • The site is not secure for visitors anymore
  • Your information is not saved with the Evolution Travel website.
  • If they are actually in business, then they currently have a big problem for not being able to secure such a site with less than a $100 yearly.

***Evolution Travel Employ MLM Models For Sales***

I once wrote an article on why all the Multi-Level Marketing program is a scam.

Evolution Travel Employ is all about recruiting and selling Professional Travel Agent (PTA) Packages using MLM models.

The reason for that article was that you don’t need to disturb your son, wife and entire family before you make sales in a business.

MLM program will make the whole world hates you because you don’t have anyone to make a sales pitch to than your immediate family and friends and that is wrong.

The best way for you to start making money in this age either online or offline is to discover how to solve just one of many of the world problems.

When you have a solution to a problem, millions of people will be ready to pay you to solve it for them. You will not need to chase people around to subscribe to a useless program anymore.

The world is full of problems; discovering just one that relates to your passion and hobbies will change your life.

***Evolution Travel MLM Is Too Costly***

Revolution Travel has a one-time subscription fee of $30 and a monthly payment of $69.95.

Even the best a ffiliate marketing training in the world “Wealthy Affiliate” is not as costly.

You can easily create a four-figure full-time income online with just $49 monthly. And the cost is so less if you pay half or yearly.

Why would any human being be losing much money into an MLM program and the compensation plan is so not worth the trouble?

In my opinion, the package is so poorly put together with a horrible website that is no more secure. Many Negative Complaints Online

***Evolution Travel Jobs With Many Customer Complaints***

When the number of happy customers is less than the unhappy one, then such a company will soon go down.

See some extract screenshots online below:

***Evolution Travel MLM is Not BBB Accredited***

The screenshot below is showing A+ for BBB Ratings for Evolution Travel.

If you also observed the underline keenly in red, it states that customers review is not employed to arrive at that ratings.

Evolution Travel is yet to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau; because they are however to meet the requirements to do so.

***Evolution Travel Jobs with Low Earnings***

Evolution Travel shares 80% of the chicken feed commission Archer Travel Group pays them not 80% of the booking fee.

This does amount to much.

The company’s revenue is without doubt sourced from affiliate signup and monthly fees, which is why you should’t join.

***Complexity***

At the entry-level employees usually, struggle to understand the process flow and how to build a business for themselves.

Let’s face it; not everyone is a great marketer and most people who love to travel

Is Evolution Travel Legit or a Scam?

Evolution Travel is legit and not a scam MLM pyramid scheme.

Technically, Evolution Travel is yet to be declared as a scam by FTC, but they do not sell a legit product; all they sell is a membership that might leave you stuck in the mud with angry clients.

From a veteran’s angle, it is a pyramid scheme in disguise due to its focus on recruitment.

However, I can assure you, and you can see for yourself, that its affiliate program is not a decent one-time stand.

Some people are still making money with this company just the same way the fraud stars and scammers are still out their making money from their various victims.

I can confirm to you that you have a high possibility of failure than to succeed with Evolution Travel.

But you know it will not be okay for you to lose not only your money but that of your friends and relative. Is Evolution Travel a pyramid scheme?

Evolution Travel is an MLM and a direct sales company. You can make money with a multi-level compensation plan by recruiting others to this travel company.

You must target people that love traveling.

Is Evolution Travel an MLM and Pyramid Scheme?

Evolution is legit and not a scam MLM pyramid scheme.

But you can easily take Evolution travel to be a pyramid scheme. Why is that?

Because of the value that Evolution travel offers are not a physical one. No. You can see it.

Evolution travel provides products for its members.

But what is a Pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a ways of recruiting people for an investment or business opportunity. As they are recruited, you get a commission on every fee they paid to join that business.

As your referral joins, they also must get people to join the same investment opportunity to earn commission on the fee they paid to enter.

what are good side hustles

The more people that join, the more commission they get from the fees they paid.

The investors feed on the commission earned from the fee paid to join. Hence, there is no service or product rendered.

Evolution travel provides products of all types. Therefore, Evolution travel is not a pyramid scheme.

But, can you make money with Evolution travel? That is another big problem because my answer is no. 99.7% of the member of any MLM will not make money. It is only 0.3% of people at the top of the MLM scheme that makes money .

Mr. Jon Taylor confirmed his book. They are the owners, top investors, and people at the top rank of the compensation plan. Do you agree with my review of Evolution Travel jobs?

Most often it is easy to believe that a product worth almost $900 yearly will usher in millions for you; however, with a product like Evolution Travel, I do not buy into it.

However, if you want to make money online from a real product, I will recommend Wealthy Affiliate, this product enables you to create passive income that is both consistent and real from affiliate marketing.

6 thoughts on “Is Evolution Travel Legit or a Scam? Can You Really Make Money?”

There are cons and pros Evolution Travel, but I would rather not go in the business with them.

I am a bit conservative and also look at the year the company was founded.

For me, one of the good indicators of the trustworthy company is 10 years being on the market or when the company survived during the crisis.

But, i still love to know some things about Evolution Travel. Many are online comments in several fora claimed that it is an MLM program.

Is Evolution travel an MLM?

Also, who do you think own Evolution Travel? I am just interested.

Also, if i join Evolution Travel right now. Because I am seriously thinking about joining this travel program. How do I cancel my membership of Evolution Travel?

Please help with those questions.

Dear Oleksii,

Thanks for reading my review about the Evolution Travel.

I appreciate your time for the long comment.

I will try to summarize my attempt to answer your questions.

The first question:

Yes, Evolution Travel an MLM company that is into the travel business.

They help people earn money by selling various travel products and majorly to refer more people to become a member of Evolution Travel.

The claimed to have an excellent compensation plan as regards the Evolution Travel affiliates programs.

Some people refer to the company as a Pyramid Scheme just because they seem to concentrate on getting more people than selling travel products.

Okay, now, the next question. Who owns Evolution Travel?

Evolution Travel was founded by DAVID MCCOVY and RON ARCHER, who also is the President of Archer Travel Service, Inc. Archer Travel Group is a well-known name in the traveling industry.

Archer Travel Group bring a lot of experience to the running of Evolution Travel, Archer travel was established in 1952.

The partnership of Archer Travel in the running of Evolution Travel makes the establishment of great home business for every member of Evolution Travel.

The last question is,

How to cancel your evolution travel membership?

Every member of Evolution Travel can only cancel their membership in writing. Some else can not cancel your membership for you but yourself.

To cancel your membership, you will write your cancellation request to this email address [email protected] .

You can also help people cancel their membership by sending their original cancellation request to the same email address.

Thanks for the time to write such a long comment. I hope I answered all your questions?

The One-Time startup price of $30 looks good, I would spend that much money to learn something new, but the $69.95 monthly fee is a bit too much!

This deal is also not for the daily user who is not much into travelling.

But is Evolution travel a pyramid scheme? There are so many comments online about Evolution travel being a Pyramid Scheme.

I hate to join any Pyramid scheme program. Please clarify for me.

Thanks for this detailed review and giving the heads up! Is there any system that actually works?

Thanks for reading my Evolution Travel Review.

You are right about the cost of Evolution Travel, you can channel that amount to learning something like Affiliate Marketing as a course online.

To your next question “Is Evolution travel a pyramid scheme?”

I thought I addressed this in the body of this article.

You can easily mistake Evolution Travel to be a Pyramid scheme just because of the way the program is so focus on the recruitment of people rather than selling of travel products and packages.

When a network program is focusing almost 100% on the recruitment rather than selling and marketing of value-able products then such program is a pyramid scheme.

So, is Evolution Travel a Pyramid Scheme? I will Term Evolution Travel as a pyramid scheme disgusting as an MLM travel program.

All the efforts of members are completely on referring people rather than selling traveling packages. FTC stated clearly that if a program that claimed to make people money focus on recruiting people rather than selling products then such program is a pyramid scheme.

Do you know that World Ventures (Similar to Evolution Travels) is being restricted and also banned in many countries?

What do you think?

Thanks again fir reading my review about Evolution Travels

How I want to believe that Evolution Travel is a treasure! Travel and still earn money! How sweet it sounds! It’s like a dream! I thought… but no… not all the gold that shines! But the author of the article has clearly worked here. The article includes 100 % of key and important information, from relevant small details to colourful examples, videos, charts and diagrams. Thanks for reading my Evolution Travel review. Do I think that the Evolution Travel is a scam? No.

Can you make money with this Evolution Travel? Yes. But it will take you a lot of work.

And you must have resource and great skill to employ the 21st century marketing method to Excell in this travel niche.

You will need to have you own blog and learn the art of making money blogging online.

These are the scenarios when travel insurance makes most sense.

Travel insurance can be useful, but it's not always necessary.

The key to knowing if you need travel insurance is figuring out your specific risks for any given vacation, then deciding if you can buy coverage that adequately protects you from any financial losses and pitfalls that might occur.

While insurance can be invaluable no matter the traveler and trip, these are the scenarios where it's especially useful:

  • You're concerned about flight disruptions: Flight cancellations and delays are commonplace, especially during the holiday and summer travel seasons. Most trip insurance will reimburse you for incidental expenses that occur while you wait for your flight to depart or for your checked luggage to arrive. Examples include meals and hotel stays if your flight is delayed overnight, or clothing and toiletries you have to buy while you wait for your bags to show up at your destination. Limits apply to this coverage, but it can still pay off if you have to use it.
  • You need the option to cancel your trip: Do you have a medical condition that might suddenly prevent you from traveling? What about young children who are prone to illness, or the possibility of your beach vacation getting rained out during hurricane season ? These are just some of the instances when cancel for any reason (CFAR) coverage can help. Offered as an add-on to many insurance policies, this coverage lets you cancel your trip for a reason not covered within a typical trip cancellation benefit. If you need to use this coverage, you'll typically get 50% to 80% of your prepaid travel expenses refunded.
  • You're traveling internationally: U.S. health insurance policies typically don't cover medical care or emergencies overseas, which is why so many people seek out travel medical insurance . According to Allianz Travel Insurance, the average costs of international medical evacuation can range from $15,000 in Mexico all the way up to $220,000 in Asia, Australia and the Middle East. Fortunately, many travel insurance policies offer up to $500,000 in medical evacuation coverage or potentially more.

The best travel insurance options

If one of the above applies and/or you're still curious about travel insurance, you can find the top-rated policies in a variety of categories below.

Any rates listed are for illustrative purposes only. You should contact the insurance company directly for applicable quotes.

What does travel insurance cover?

You'll quickly notice that each travel insurance policy is different from the next. Most plans offer coverage for trip cancellations and interruptions, lost or delayed baggage, medical emergencies, and other common perils; some let you add optional coverage for a rental car , sporting equipment and more.

To give you an overview of the way different travel insurance policies work, the chart below shows the included benefits in several plans from a travel insurance company called Travelex:

Compare Travelex plans and get a quote .

What does travel insurance not cover?

It's important to note that travel insurance policies cannot possibly cover every unexpected bill you encounter before, during or after a trip. That's because travel insurance is not meant to be used like other types of insurance, including traditional medical coverage you have for routine health care expenses.

According to Allianz Travel Insurance , travel insurance "does not cover losses that arise from expected or reasonably foreseeable events or problems." Here are some of the most common exclusions found in travel insurance policies:

  • Civil unrest
  • Epidemics (except COVID-19)
  • Extreme, high-risk sports
  • Government-issued travel bulletins or warnings
  • Natural disasters
  • Nuclear reaction, radiation or radioactive contamination
  • Preexisting conditions (unless specifically covered by your plan)
  • Pregnancy-related medical expenses that aren't an emergency (including regular labor and delivery)
  • Terrorist events
  • Travel to participate or train for a sporting event

When should you skip travel insurance?

While the cost of a travel insurance policy can be worth it in the end, there are plenty of travel scenarios where you may not need to purchase a plan. Consider the following situations where buying insurance may not be worth the trouble:

  • You're planning a short road trip within the U.S.: If you're planning a short trip within the U.S. where your own health insurance coverage will apply, you may not need trip insurance for medical expenses. The fact that you're not flying also means you don't have to worry about flight cancellations, and that your luggage will likely remain in your possession the entire trip.
  • You plan to use credit card travel insurance: There may be instances where credit card travel insurance coverage is sufficient for your plans, although only you can make this decision. For example, the popular Chase Sapphire Reserve card comes with trip cancellation and interruption coverage worth up to $10,000 per person and $20,000 per trip; primary rental car coverage for damage or theft worth up to $75,000; lost luggage reimbursement worth up to $3,000 per passenger; emergency evacuation and transportation coverage worth up to $100,000; and more.
  • You bought insurance from your travel provider: There may be instances where the travel insurance coverage from your airline or cruise line is good enough. If you're flying within the U.S. to see a family member and staying in their home for free, for example, you'll likely just need protection against flight cancellations, eligible trip delays, and lost or delayed baggage.

Is A Level 2 Home EV Charger Worth It?

The decision to invest in a Level 2 home electric vehicle (EV) charger depends on various factors and personal preferences. This type of charger isn't for everybody, but it can be a very beneficial way to improve the convenience of owning an EV. Here are some considerations to help you make an informed decision:

Charging Speed:

Level 2 chargers are faster than standard Level 1 chargers that typically come with electric vehicles. They can deliver more power to your EV, resulting in quicker charging times. If you often find yourself needing a faster charge, especially if you have a longer daily commute, a Level 2 charger might be worth it. Level 2 chargers typically provide higher power levels compared to standard Level 1 chargers. While Level 1 chargers may take many hours to charge an electric vehicle fully, Level 2 chargers can significantly reduce charging times. This is especially valuable if you have a larger battery capacity or need to top up your vehicle quickly between trips.

Convenience:

Level 2 chargers offer the convenience of faster charging at home, which means you can start each day with a fully charged vehicle-- or at the best level of charge for each specific vehicle, which in many cases is around 80%. This can be particularly beneficial if you have a busy schedule and limited time for charging. Having a Level 2 charger at home offers the convenience of a faster charging option, eliminating the need to rely solely on public charging stations. It allows you to maintain your EV's battery level more easily as part of your daily routine, much like refueling a traditional gas-powered vehicle.

Compatibility:

Ensure that your electric vehicle is compatible with Level 2 charging. Most modern electric vehicles support Level 2 charging, but it's essential to verify compatibility with your specific model. Manufacturers provide information on the charging capabilities of their vehicles, including the maximum charging rate and the types of chargers supported. You may need an adapter for certain vehicles.

Level 2 chargers typically involve an upfront cost for purchasing and installing the charging station. Evaluate your budget and consider any additional installation expenses. Some governments, manufacturers, and utilities may offer incentives or rebates to offset these costs.

The costs associated with a Level 2 charger include the price of the charging station itself, professional installation, and any potential upgrades to your home's electrical system. While there is an initial investment, consider long-term savings on fuel costs and the potential for incentives or rebates that may offset some of the expenses.

Speaking of investment, the cost of the charger itself has come down significantly over the last few years, making installing a Level 2 home EV charger much more affordable.

Home Electrical Capacity:

Check your home's electrical capacity to ensure it can support a Level 2 charger. You might need to upgrade your electrical panel or wiring, which could add to the overall cost. Some older homes may require upgrades to the electrical panel or wiring to handle the increased load. Factor in these potential costs when evaluating the overall investment.

Travel Patterns:

Assess your driving habits and the distances you typically cover. If you don't drive long distances daily and your current charging setup meets your needs, a Level 2 charger might not be necessary. Level 1 charging overnight with intermittent stops at public chargers may be sufficient for your needs. On the other hand, if you often find yourself needing to charge quickly between trips, a Level 2 charger becomes more valuable.

Future-Proofing:

Consider the potential growth in the adoption of electric vehicles and whether a Level 2 charger would be a wise investment for future-proofing your home charging setup. As the adoption of electric vehicles continues to grow, having a Level 2 charger at home may become more advantageous. It can increase the resale value of your property (albeit minorly) and make it more appealing to potential buyers who own or plan to own electric vehicles.

In summary, a Level 2 home EV charger can be worth it for individuals who prioritize faster charging, have compatible electric vehicles, and can accommodate the installation costs. It's essential to weigh the benefits against your specific needs and circumstances before making a decision.

The state of tourism and hospitality 2024

Tourism and hospitality are on a journey of disruption. Shifting source markets and destinations, growing demand for experiential and luxury travel, and innovative business strategies are all combining to dramatically alter the industry landscape. Given this momentous change, it’s important for stakeholders to consider and strategize on four major themes:

  • The bulk of travel is close to home. Although international travel might draw headlines, stakeholders shouldn’t neglect the big opportunities in their backyards. Domestic travel still represents the bulk of travel spending, and intraregional tourism is on the rise.
  • Consumers increasingly prioritize travel—when it’s on their own terms. Interest in travel is booming, but travelers are no longer content with a one-size-fits-all experience. Individual personalization might not always be practical, but savvy industry players can use segmentation and hypothesis-driven testing to improve their value propositions. Those that fail to articulate target customer segments and adapt their offerings accordingly risk getting left behind.
  • The face of luxury travel is changing. Demand for luxury tourism and hospitality is expected to grow faster than any other travel segment today—particularly in Asia. It’s crucial to understand that luxury travelers don’t make up a monolith. Segmenting by age, nationality, and net worth can reveal varied and evolving preferences and behaviors.
  • As tourism grows, destinations will need to prepare to mitigate overcrowding. Destinations need to be ready to handle the large tourist flows of tomorrow. Now is the time for stakeholders to plan, develop, and invest in mitigation strategies. Equipped with accurate assessments of carrying capacities and enhanced abilities to gather and analyze data, destinations can improve their transportation and infrastructure, build tourism-ready workforces, and preserve their natural and cultural heritages.

Now boarding: Faces, places, and trends shaping tourism in 2024

Global travel is back and buzzing. The amount of travel fell by 75 percent in 2020; however, travel is on its way to a full recovery by the end of 2024. More regional trips, an emerging population of new travelers, and a fresh set of destinations are powering steady spending in tourism.

There’s no doubt that people still love to travel and will continue to seek new experiences in new places. But where will travelers come from, and where will they go?

We share a snapshot of current traveler flows, along with estimates for growth through 2030.

The way we travel now

Which trends are shaping traveler sentiment now? What sorts of journeys do today’s travelers dream about? How much are they willing to spend on their trips? And what should industry stakeholders do to adapt to the traveler psychology of the moment?

To gauge what’s on the minds of present-day travelers, we surveyed more than 5,000 of them. The findings reveal disparate desires, generational divides, and a newly emerging set of traveler archetypes.

Updating perceptions about today’s luxury traveler

Demand for luxury tourism and hospitality is expected to grow faster than for any other segment. This growth is being powered in part by a large and expanding base of aspiring luxury travelers with net worths between $100,000 and $1 million, many of whom are younger and increasingly willing to spend larger shares of their wealth on upscale travel options. The increase is also a result of rising wealth levels in Asia.

We dug deeper into this ongoing evolution by surveying luxury travelers around the globe about their preferences, plans, and expectations. Some widely held notions about luxury travelers—such as how much money they have, how old they are, and where they come from—could be due for reexamination.

Destination readiness: Preparing for the tourist flows of tomorrow

As global tourism grows, it will be crucial for destinations to be ready. How can the tourism ecosystem prepare to host unprecedented volumes of visitors while managing the challenges that can accompany this success? A large flow of tourists, if not carefully channeled, can encumber infrastructure, harm natural and cultural attractions, and frustrate locals and visitors alike.

Now is the time for tourism stakeholders to combine their thinking and resources to look for better ways to handle the visitor flows of today while properly preparing themselves for the visitor flows of tomorrow. We offer a diagnostic that destinations can use to spot early-warning signs about tourism concentration, along with suggestions for funding mechanisms and strategies to help maximize the benefits of tourism while minimizing its negative impacts.

Six trends shaping new business models in tourism and hospitality

As destinations and source markets have transformed over the past decade, tourism and hospitality companies have evolved, too. Accommodation, home sharing, cruises, and theme parks are among the sectors in which new approaches could present new opportunities. Stakeholders gearing up for new challenges should look for business model innovations that will help sustain their hard-won growth—and profits.

Unbundling offerings, cross-selling distinctive experiences, and embracing data-powered strategies can all be winning moves. A series of insight-driven charts reveal significant trends and an outlook on the future.

From Tactical Gear to Travel Essentials: The Duravo Evolution

The journey of Duravo from tactical gear to a trendsetter in the travel essentials market is a story of innovation and transformation. Founders Matt Muhr and Dan Cooper initially collaborated on developing high-performance gear for military and sports applications.

Wilmington, DE - June 12, 2024 —

is evolution travel worth it

The journey of Duravo from tactical gear to a trendsetter in the travel essentials market is a story of innovation and transformation. Founders Matt Muhr and Dan Cooper initially collaborated on developing high-performance gear for military and sports applications. However, their encounter with a German-engineered material called Flexshell™ altered their course toward travel gear. Flexshell, a self-reinforced composite made in the same German factory as the famous Curv® composite used in professional sports and military equipment, provides remarkable durability and lightness, making it an ideal candidate for luggage.

"Initially, we focused solely on durability and performance under extreme conditions. Flexshell brought those benefits along with a unique material surface aesthetic, changing how we approached luggage design," explains Muhr.

Duravo's unique position in the market today stems from this pivot—integrating the ruggedness of tactical gear with the aesthetics and functionality demanded by modern travelers.

Sustainability Meets Design

Duravo's commitment to environmentally friendly practices stands out as consumers become more conscious of sustainable products. Flexshell's manufacturing process involves no solvents, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), plasticizers, per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), BPAs, or halogenated compounds, making it not only strong but also recyclable. Duravo's implementation is notably thorough, extending from material selection to product lifecycle.

"Our aim was not just to create another suitcase but to set a new standard for what travel gear can be," states Cooper. This sentiment is evident in the design of their flagship product, the Duravo International Expandable Carry-on, which combines lightweight construction with expansive functionality, allowing travelers to adapt to varying trip demands without sacrificing comfort or environmental considerations.

Practical Features of Modern Luggage

In addition to the use of Flexshell, Duravo's line of luggage incorporates several features designed to meet the needs of today's travelers. Notably, the suitcases are equipped with USB ports, which are becoming increasingly common in modern luggage. These ports allow passengers to charge devices directly from their bags (using their own power source which can be removed for airline check-in), which is particularly useful for those needing to power their electronic devices during long travel days.

The design also emphasizes ease of movement and organization. Ergonomic handles and multi-directional wheels ensure that the suitcases can be maneuvered easily through busy airports and narrow airplane aisles. Internally, the luggage offers well-thought-out compartmentalization. Specialized pockets for laptops, tablets, and other electronic accessories such as Apple Airtag tracking devices help travelers keep their items organized and accessible.

The use of Flexshell material in constructing these suitcases contributes to their lightweight profile while enhancing their durability and protection against physical impacts, a common concern for frequent travelers. This combination of functionality and durability reflects an understanding of the practical challenges faced by modern travelers.

Industry Impact and Consumer Reception

Since its inception, Duravo has made a name for itself in the highly competitive luggage industry by focusing on innovation and customer needs. According to market data, the global luggage market is expected to grow more in the coming years. Innovations like those introduced by Duravo are pivotal in driving this growth by meeting the evolving demands of modern consumers who prioritize durability, style, and sustainability.

Duravo has also explored the tactical aspect of the Flexshell material by introducing anti-ballistic backpacks. These backpacks not only are stylish and well organized, they offer NIJ Level 3A ballistics protection. The unique combination of an aramid fiber anti-ballistics layer plus the Duravo Flexshell impact-absorbing backpanel provides handgun ballistics protection and minimizes trauma from impact.

With this unique protection system, you still get lightweight protection of your gear along with thoughtfully designed compartments and our signature side-access laptop storage. The Venture Antiballistic Backpack gives you piece of mind whether you are heading to the office, university or a travel destination.
