Watch Slipknot kick off their 2022 European tour

The outfit performed 'People = Shit', 'Spit It Out' and other classics

Slipknot have had a roaring start to their European tour, kicking off the 11-date run in Romania this week.

Performing on Wednesday July 20 as part of Romexpo in Bucharest – where frontman Corey Taylor donned his new mask – the Iowa outfit’s 16-track setlist (per Blabbermouth ) included some of their most revered classics: ‘Spit It Out’, ‘Psychosocial’, ‘Duality’, ‘Wait and Bleed’ and ‘The Devil In I’ among them. A two-song encore comprised of 2002’s ‘People = Shit’ and ‘Surfacing’.

The remainder of tour will see the nu-metal legends hit up Greece, Germany, Poland and Estonia among others – more details here . Along for the run in support are Ukrainian outfit Jinjer and Vended , the latter band fronted by Taylor’s son , Griffin.

Earlier this week Slipknot announced the long-awaited release of their seventh studio album, ‘The End, So Far’, releasing new single ‘The Dying Song (Time To Sing)’ to coincide.

Set for release on September 30 via Roadrunner Records, ‘The End, So Far’ will be the band’s final release with the label , having first singed with them back in 1998.

Taylor recently spoke about how writing the upcoming offering “felt almost like a reset”. “I could get away from the shit that I’ve needed to say, and get back to the stuff that I want to say,” he said.

‘The End, So far’ will serve as the follow-up to 2019’s ‘We Are Not Your Kind’. The album was lauded by NME ‘s Jordan Bassett in a five-star review as “astonishing” and “a roaring, horrifying delve into the guts of the band’s revulsion”.

“Slipknot have somehow remained true to their core as everything around them (and even their line-up) has changed.”

SLIPKNOT Announces Summer 2022 European Tour

SLIPKNOT will embark on a European tour in July and August 2022.

The 13-date trek, which will kick off on July 15, 2022 in Moscow, Russia, includes the previously announced six rescheduled European shows which were postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This past June, SLIPKNOT announced the 2021 incarnation of the "Knotfest Roadshow" . Support on the trek will come from three Grammy -nominated heavy music luminaries, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE , FEVER 333 and CODE ORANGE .

The 28-date run, produced by Live Nation , kicks off following the band's previously announced Knotfest Iowa hometown show in Des Moines on September 25. The "Knotfest Roadshow" 's first official date happens at Tinley Park, Illinois on September 28, with the tour then snaking its way across the U.S., wrapping up in Arizona in early November.

Twenty-two years ago, nine inspired musicians from Des Moines, Iowa, shattered the scope of what was possible in rock music. From the moment SLIPKNOT emerged in 1999 with their self-titled debut, it was clear they were like nothing the world had seen before. Where a similarly creative act may have burned out or lost their relevance chasing mainstream acceptance, SLIPKNOT has only proven that an enduring commitment to constant evolution, their craft, and their fans can allow a rock band to not only continue — but flourish and push the envelope on what defines heavy metal and rock music in general. With "We Are Not Your Kind" , SLIPKNOT 's first new album in five years, the band delivered when they were needed most. Here's what Slipknot played on the first night of their European tour in Dublin, Ireland

Tonight, Slipknot kicked off the European leg of their We Are Not Your Kind tour in Dublin, Ireland.

Taking place at the 3Arena, the Iowan wrecking machine unleashed a ferocious, career-spanning set onto the capacity crowd in the Irish capital as part of their first full European tour in four years.

As expected, there was a healthy dose of new material from their latest 5K-rated album We Are Not Your Kind, including Unsainted, Solway Firth and Birth Of The Cruel.

Standalone rager All Out Life also made an appearance, plus the first airing of the brutal Eeyore since 2015. It was also the first time we saw New Abortion and Eyeless live onstage since 2016.

It's fair to say The Knot are going heavy on this tour, packing some of their most hellacious tracks into 90+ minutes of all-out carnage. However, there was surprisingly no Spit It Out – one of their most-played songs of all time.

But you have to admit, this setlist still rules.

Slipknot ’s Knotfest Roadshow is returning in 2022 with special guests throughout the year. The first leg of the 38-date tour will include support from In This Moment and Jinjer . The second leg will feature special guests Cypress Hill and Ho99o9.  

“Even with everything going on in the world right now, we’re still extremely excited to come back out in the states, with two different, exciting packages,” Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor said in a release. “Whether it’s In This Moment and Jinjer, or Cypress and Ho99o9, we pride ourselves in bringing our fans the epicenter of our music and art. Come celebrate with us, and try to stay as safe as we will be.”

The 2022 edition of the Knotfest Roadshow tour will kick off on March 16 at Fargodome in Fargo, N.D., and run through Nebraska, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, North and South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio and more. The first leg of the tour will also include stops throughout Canada — including Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and British Columbia — where they will conclude on April 17.

The second leg of the tour will launch on May 18 at Bryce Jordan Center in University Park, Pa. Slipknot will hit New York, Rhode Island, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Colorado, Idaho, Washington and Nevada. The full 2022 Knotfest will come to an end on June 18 at North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, Calif.  

“It feels so good to get back out on the road with our Culture. Get ready for a brand new experience. See you soon,” said Slipknot’s clown in a release.   

Making a triumphant return to the road after the delay due to the pandemic, the Knotfest Roadshow 2021 tour sold out amphitheaters across the country, bookended with the record-breaking Knotfest Iowa and the biggest headline show of their career, Knotfest Los Angeles at Banc of California Stadium.   

The tour will be part of Live Nation’s Live Stubs initiative which provides digital collectible NFT ticket stubs to ticket holders. Live Stubs will automatically be included with tickets purchased for the tour. Fans will also be able to view, share, gift, trade, and resell their live stubs on Live Nation’s site.

SLIPKNOT ANNOUNCE 2024 HEADLINE TOUR ACROSS THE UK & EUROPE

DECEMBER 11, 2023  – SLIPKNOT have revealed tour dates for a massive 2024 European and UK headline run. Slipknot’s thrilling, multi-sensory live shows are legendary, and with the band celebrating 25 years on this run, these shows will be especially explosive and not-to-be-missed.  

Says clown of the upcoming shows: “It has been 25 years since we first played on the continent, and we’ve been back ever since. The memories I have from all those times are life changing, and we’re ready to make more. I’m so excited to bring our 25 year anniversary tour to Europe and the UK. Be prepared for an energy you’ve never experienced before. It’s happening.”

The run kicks off at Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Netherlands on December 5th, canvases continental Europe with arena dates in Germany, France, and Switzerland, and concludes at the world-famous O2 Arena in London on December 20th [full itinerary below]. This notably marks their first O2 Arena performance since 2020.  Presale tickets for the O2 Arena shows will go live on December 13th at 10:00am CET, with official Live Nation and various venue presales launching on Thursday December 14th at 10:00am CET, and general on-sale following on December 15th at 10:00am CET.

SLIPKNOT released their debut self-titled studio album on June 29, 1999, and with it they heralded a seismic shift in music, attitude and energy, and have since defined a culture that has only grown around the world.  In the quarter century since, Slipknot’s unwavering dedication to their art, expression, and their fans remains at the core of their mission.   The band has remained as creative and unapologetic as ever, both in their music and their live shows.

Furthermore, SLIPKNOT recently immortalized their legendary sold-out 2009 concert at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on vinyl for the first time ever with the double LP Live at MSG.

Motionless In White are returning to our shores!

Gothic metalcore stars Motionless In White have announced a European headline tour, including some long awaited UK headline dates. The UK leg of the tour - which kicks off in Birmingham on Tuesday February 18 at the O2 Academy - marks the band's first UK headline run in more than four years.

"After multiple foiled attempts throughout the last album cycle, words cannot describe how excited we are to announce that we are finally coming to headline for you for the first time in over four years!" say the band themselves. "Thank you for voicing your longing for a MIW headliner and helping us make it all happen. We’ll see you then to kick off what will be a gigantic 2025!"

The announcement follows Motionless In White's recent, blockbuster appearance at Wrestlemania 40, where the five-piece opened the historic event by playing WWE Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley to the ring for her match against Becky Lynch.
