The tour was great. Sander was very knowledgeable about his country history. The trip was planned well. A few changes I think should be considered. When we went North to Gudauri, we had to come back to Tbilisi the same day. That was very hard on all of us. I think we should've stayed there overnight, see more things and travel directly East from there. No need to go back to Tbilisi. Also, it would be nice to spend extra day in Batumi. Other than that, the trip was fabulous. Thank you Niko for all the help you provided before the trip.

“Taste of Georgia” was absolutely superb. Everything about the tour exceeded our expectations, most of all the brilliance of our guide, Tatia, and our driver, Zura. Tatia was extraordinarily thoughtful, kind, solicitous, well-organized, and knowledgeable. She provided a wealth of fascinating and detailed information about the history, customs, art, architecture, and cuisine of all the sites we visited, and timed her discussions in a way that never overwhelmed us but rather prepared us–and made us excited to see and enjoy each of the sites. She answered our many questions fully, often returning to topics we were especially interested in after doing a bit more research on them. She quickly developed a keen understanding of our special interests, and made sure our time at various sites–churches, forts, parks, wineries, restaurants–was tailored to maximize our pursuit of these interests. For the few days we were in Tbilisi following the tour, we followed Tatia’s recommendations about restaurants and other things, and found them all to be excellent. The car we used for the entire trip was extremely comfortable and clean, as were the hotels we stayed at. Tatia and Zura made sure all our transfers were easy and efficient: they were as flexible about schedule as we needed, and always punctual and reliable. I really enjoyed this tour. It took us to Mtskheta, Kazbegi (Stepanmintsda) and the Kakheeti region. Tbilisi and Batumi

A great driver and guide, in Moris. His history and knowledge made this trip for me. I was actually the only person doing this trip and would have preferred to know this in advance. The 3 star hotel in Tbilisi may be that by Georgian standards but is nowhere near that by European ones. The staff at the Tbilisi hotel were great and very attentive though. I'm glad I revisited Georgia and recommend others visit too.

This was our second trek with Trek Georgia and as per our first trek it was fantastic. Good organisation, communication and transport. Nutsa our guide was amazing. The accommodation and food were great all along the trek and the pace and distances covered each day were very achievable. Tusheti is a special place and we really enjoyed our time hiking there. A great 11 day intro to the republic of georgia including beautiful mountain views, a modern city of Batumi, a historical walk through Tbilisi, and wonderful meals with Georgian hospitality. I couldn't ask for a better weather for the trip. The guide Zurab was full of energy, super fun, and so informative on Georgian culture. He helped me out regarding booking a taxi, getting a sim card and providing ideas during free time. It was a relaxed trip into such an untouristed country with a European flair with old churches and great food. I really wished we had more than a day to explore Ushguli...that's a super cool old timey* place to explore. Long travel days, but lots of unexpected surprises along the way. Highly recommend!!!

The whole tour was great and enjoyable. I originally thought that it would be a group tour but ended up as a private tour. I was able to visit and see different places at my own pace. I didn’t have to think of others, nor rush visiting any places we've been to. Levan, my guide, was great and vey kind. He was chill the whole time. There was no pressure on going somewhere or doing activities on the places we visited. He usually brief me of the things that we’ll be doing for the day and asked me if there’s anything I want or don’t want to visit. He knows how to read the room. He chitchat and joke around when I’m up for it and leave me alone when I’m not in the mood to talk. Most of all, he let me sleep. For someone who’s been sleep deprived, the last thing I need is a super chatty guide. I also learned a lot of things from him about Georgian culture and history. Thank you Glad Travel! Our driver/ guide, Paata, was very kind, accommodating, and professional throughout our journey across beautiful Georgia. Always full of humour and good vibes with him around. Safety is always observed on the road, where we spend a lot of time on during the trip. Highly recommended if you’re joining this tour. Niko from Exotour was responsive with his replies leading to our departure. Overall it was a smooth booking process. Madloba to you both! Itinerary covers a lot (too many) of monasteries and churches from the start. So I reckon this might not be everyone’s cup of tea. But hey, welcome to Georgia! Expect long hours on the road especially outside summer seasons when daylight is shorter because the itinerary is packed. At times you might feel rushed at certain places. It’s therefore good to plan ahead where you wanna spend more time and let your guide know. We truly enjoy our time in Mestia, Gudauri, and Kazbegi from the itinerary, where we are close to nature. Tbilisi and Batumi are very nice to walk around. Accommodations are mostly at 3-star hotels, imo. Better not to expect 4-star standards or else you might be disappointed. All included meals were adequate. We enjoy our stay in Mestia the most, and we are glad spending 2 nights there. Overall this tour covers a lot of ground within the given time and tries to give you a pretty wholistic experience of Georgia. Happy to recommend this to my friends. Gamarjoba!

In Tbilisi, the climate is much drier and you’ll find average temperatures at around 28-31°C, while during the winter months the thermometer drops down to single figures of around 7-8°C at best.
