Great Jewish Heritage Tour to Portugal and Spain

We had a fabulous time on the IBMT Jewish Heritage Tour to Portugal and Spain! We took 1900 amazing photos. We just enjoyed everything. The local tour guides were excellent - and of course, especially the IBMT Tour Guides Sondra and Victoria! Outstanding really! They were both extremely knowledgeable and kind. We learned so much. The tour was very comprehensive and worthwhile. We really appreciate IBMT Tours for their persevering in scheduling this remarkable tour.

IBMT was very reliable & professional

Sara was extremely accommodating in helping us plan our tour with a few extra days added on the end, She took care of the flights, car rental etc. The representative was waiting for us in Tel Aviv & helped us when our luggage didn't arrive. Just returned from an amazing 14 day…

Just returned from an amazing 14 day Grand Classic Israel and Eilat! From my first phone call to Sara everything was perfect! This was my first tour as I am usually an independent Traveler. I can’t imagine not having a tour guide in Israel. Ours was fantastic! Michael was so knowledgeable about the sites, the country and everything in between. We covered a lot and it was nice to have several free days and nights! The hotels were beautiful and in great locations! I enjoyed the Kibbutz guest house as it’s a huge part of Israel. All transportation was very reliable and comfortable. The included meals were also very good! I would highly recommend IBMT to anyone who is looking to travel to Israel.

This was an incredible tour of Israel and I loved the additional trip to Petra as well. We had a very knowledgeable guide from Israel who gave us an extensive explanation of everything we saw in Israel. All of the hotels I stayed in were great with comfortable beds and wonderful buffet breakfasts!!

Fabulous wonderful time,Holylands experience

Fabulous wonderful time,experience like no other! Ibmt tours made it fantastic! The beautiful Hotels with amazing location the tour guides very kind and so fun and full knowledge told us everything! the buses was New! So comfortable enjoyable especially having WiFi to use on them, this was a bucket list our dream trip! To be able walk foot steps jesus Holylands tour was truly amazing I have traveled around world all of Europe to China & japan but nothing compared to this! and would not have been possible without ibmt tours we had r church group 125 ppl they made it so easy everything run smooth very organized we was never late or delayed even down to the lil details was taken care of.. Thank u again Ornan for making this unforgettable experience possible you were so understanding and knew exactly what to do and seen to all are needs! from ppl with medical conditions to elders and young children especially loved it! Great Bar Mitzvah Tour

We took a bar mitzvah tour December 23, 2018 for my son’s Bar Mitzvah. Ornan and his staff were very professional and responsive while planning the trip. Ada answered ALL of our questions leading up to the trip. She answered all of our emails efficiently. Our transfers to and from the hotel were seamless. Our tour guide, Natalie, was fantastic!! She was an encyclopedia or information about everything Israel. She was fun, energetic and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time. The hotels were very nice with nice amenities and amazing buffet breakfasts. The itinerary was a perfect mix of culture, history and fun. We brought our 9 year old and 12 year old and they both had a great time. The experience was everything we had hoped that it would be. We made good friends with the other families on the trip and the kids became close as well and continue to keep in touch. Now that we had a taste of all that Israel has to offer, we can’t wait to go back!!

Absolutely Amazing! This was our second tour with IBMT, and they just keep getting better. Our guide was one of the best I have ever known. Ornen and Ada took great care to make sure our tour was planned perfectly. The IBMT office checked in twice while we were on tour to make sure everything was perfect. It is our pleasure to book with IBMT for our tour to Israel. The Company is so well organised. We did not meet with anyperson one on one before we made payment, We only spoke with Ornan on phone.All the places mentioned in their manifest were visited.It was a great experience because we met the whole places as written in the Bible. This trip has exceeded our expectations, we thought we are going on another ordinary tour, but IBMT Tours has planned our tour to the Holy Land starting from the Sea of Galilee to Jerusalem and Bethlechem. Great trip we'll remember for a long time.

They flew us in on Turkish Air - and they treat you very well. Our accomodations in Jerusalem were horrible. Low quality room, small, hotel wasn't kept very clean, and they turned off the power for several hours on Shabbatt without warning us (so we didn't have food, drink, etc). The tours were great. We also went to Jordan to see Petra while there, and that was definitely worth the drive. Would have been better if we didn't have such a long bus ride so we could spend more time in Petra. The Tel aviv accomodations were much better.

This was my second your to Israel this year and this company was by far more accommodating and flexible Than the other. The more strenuous sites were interspersed throughout the week so no day was overwhelming. Every day was full.

The first time I led a group to Israel

I booked my first Israel group tour through IBMT! The IBMT family was simply incredible to work with; both leading up to the trip, and while we were in Israel. They gave great insight as to what we could expect on our trip, and they answered all of my questions as I prepared. Upon our arrival, we had great personnel, who met us as soon as we exited the airplane, and throughout our experience, they were with us every step of the way. While in Israel, IBMT representatives called to check on us numerous times. We had absolutely no issues. The transportation was wonderful, the accommodations and food were top notch, and the service was unequaled. It is with great confidence that I HIGHLY recommend IBMT to anyone leading a group. Each participant on our trip was very pleased with all aspects of the experience; no exceptions. I WILL use IBMT for all my group travels.

I discovered IBMT tours online and found a really awesome-sounding nine day package with an add-on to Petra. The price is reasonable and pretty comparable to a lot of other companies, although this company has more bonuses such as dinner and all fees included. I want to make sure this is a reputable company and not any sort of scam. Does anyone have any experience with this company?

The following comments are not pro or con -- read carefully so you understand what is included. All dinners are not included.

Not sure what "fees" you are referring to that are included.

Nowhere did I find any information regarding what hotels they are using -- this can say a lot about the level of service they are offering.

Personally, I would need a lot more information before booking with them.

If you go to the brochure, it says breakfast and dinner buffets (minus dinner first night) and entrance fees included, as well as transfer to and from airport.

I just found their nine day brochure and have many problems.

A. What they are covering is beyond ridiculous. You are racing through an enormous amount of sites each day.

C.the date and rate chart is in contradiction to the chart listing hotels.

D. It’s a 6 day tour since day 1 is your flight to Israel , day 2 - all you do is arrive and go to hotel, Day 9 you leave’

Do you have a recommendation for a tour company? I am most interested in a tour focusing on Christian sites. I would also like to include Petra if possible.

Does IBMT sound like a scam? I’ve found some reviews and most are very positive.

I missed the comment about the 9 day tour the first time.

This tour is only a 6 day tour, the other days are travel days.

The itinerary is including much more than can comfortably fit in a day - there is little consideration for travel times, etc.

Transfer to and from the airport is a basic for all tours - nothing to get excited about - same for admission fees.

Yes - you will spend a lot of time driving around each morning and evening picking up and dropping off everyone at their hotels.

Don't get me wrong - I am not saying that there is anything wrong with the company, just giving you a professional look at the tour so you will know what you are getting.

Do you have specific dates in mind? Keep in mind that if this Oct through March you are looking at days when it gets dark early and that also limits what you can get done in a day.

I am not qualified to say it’s a scam - most likely it is NOT! However it is not a tour I would want.

Where do we draw the line between a scam and deceptive and misleading marketing and taking advantage of lazy people who don't do their homework and don't know any better?

It certainly doesn't look like my idea of a scam. It may or may not be value for money, a worthwhile tour, or what you are looking for. But that doesn't make it a scam.

It is *extremely* rushed. And you should note that when a tour description says "see XYZ" it means you will see it (if you are sitting on the right side of the bus and the place concerned isn't hidden behind trees or tall buildings...) "See" doesn't mean "visit". It means "drive past".

I wouldn't call it a scam.

I have read so very many tour descriptions. What we pointed out are basically things that you learn from reading so many itineraries. You need to know how to read them. Is it a scam to call it a 9 day tour when you only have 6 days on the ground? No idea - but that is what every single company does, same as "you will see" and all the rest.

Obviously they want to present themselves in a good light and they are offering about the same as almost all of the other companies.

I think we have provided enough explanation and interpretation of what the company is offering.

As I said in my first post. IBMT is a US company and so I doubt very highly that they are the ones who are actually doing all the local work - they are most probably working with an Israeli company that is dealing with buses, hotels, meals, tour guides, schedules, pick ups and all the rest.

They have an office in Toronto and Miami.

Honest people. I highly recommend them.
