What travelers are saying about our guided trips

Tips for planning tours & travel with us.

Here at Go Ahead, we make it easy to plan a tour. All you have to do is decide which of our travel packages excites you most, and when you’d like to travel. (A springtime escape to  Europe , anyone?) If you can’t decide, we’ll help you narrow down our vacation packages and find the perfect trip.

From there, we’ll take care of the rest. For travelers who book flights with us, our in-house team of travel experts will get to work finding flights with our trusted airline partners. And as you count down to tour, we’ll be busy booking clean, stylish, comfy hotels, planning meals at locally loved restaurants, and securing tickets to top museums, cultural sites, and, if it applies to your tour, special events.

Having our team of travel experts take care of every last logistical detail is one of  10 benefits of a guided tour versus independent travel .

When browsing our 175-plus vacation packages, here are a few things to keep in mind to help you find the just-right tours for travel to the places you’ve been dreaming of visiting.

  • Your travel style.  Are you into wildlife, adventure, or food and wine? Do you want to take a deep dive into a particular destination or religion?  Want to experience a special event, or explore with a small group? We offer escorted tours designed around these  travel styles  and others so that travelers can have the experience that suits them best.
  • Where you want to go.  Whether you’ve long dreamed of exploring America’s national parks, Scotland’s pristine landscapes, or Thailand’s golden temples, you can do it on our guided tours. Some of our itineraries are designed to offer travelers a deeper dive into a single country. Others take travelers to multiple countries in a single trip (think Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, or Portugal, Spain, and Morocco).
  • When you want to go.  Sure, there’s nothing like Paris in the springtime. But maybe seeing the City of Light against a backdrop of fiery fall foliage is more what you have in mind. We’ll make that happen. We offer dozens of departures per tour, and in the case of some trips, we offer departures all year round. And, we make tours available for booking up to two years in advance. Having more time to pay, and more departure dates to choose from, are among the  eight benefits of booking a trip years in advance .
  • Special or seasonal events.  Have you always wanted to see cherry blossoms blooming in Japan? Or sip hot, mulled wine while wandering around a European Christmas market ? Perhaps witnessing the Great Migration is at the top of your travel wish list. Events like these, and others, only happen during certain times of year, so be sure to check out tour packages for travel that occur at the same time.
  • Duration.  Our tours range from six days to 22 days. Want to enjoy a quick break? Consider our shorter tours, which we offer in destinations such as Iceland, Spain, and Amsterdam. Have more time to spare? A 10-day trip to Scandinavia , or a 22-day tour of Australia and New Zealand , could be just the ticket.
  • Who you want to travel with.  Many of our group trips are designed for groups of 15 to 38 travelers. (Think: more opportunities to make new friends.) If you prefer a more intimate experience, consider one of our Small Group Tours, which are designed for groups of 10 to 22 travelers. Want to explore solely with your friends or family? We happily craft Private Tours and Customized Tours for groups of seven travelers or more.

For help narrowing our trips down to the perfect tour, try our  Tour Match Quiz  →

Our trips are bookable directly through our website. (Putting $99 down with AutoPay , our interest-free payment plan, is all it takes to secure your spot on tour.) If you have questions or can’t decide which tour is right for you, you can call us at 1-800-590-1161 . We’re here to help.

We offer more than 175 tour packages. They include:

  • Guided group tours.  These trips are designed for groups of 15 to 38 travelers and include Multi-Country Tours , single-country tours, and City Stay Tours , which give travelers an opportunity to explore a particular city in depth.
  • Small Group Tours.  A more intimate tour experience with a group size of just 10 to 22 travelers. Small group travel styles include Food & Wine Tours, Adventure Tours, and Safari & Wildlife Tours.
  • Special Event Tours.  Typically capped at 35 or 38 travelers, these trips are designed to capture the magic of special and/or seasonal events, such as Oktoberfest, Oberammergau, New Year’s Eve, St. Patrick’s Day, Sakura (cherry blossom) season, fall foliage, Christmas markets of Europe, Halloween, and more. Find the perfect tour for you by browsing our Special Event tours .
  • Private and Customized Tours.  Have a particular interest you want to explore? We happily plan Private and Customized Tours for groups of seven or more travelers.

The price of our trip packages includes:

  • A specially trained Tour Director, who will accompany your group on tour, from the moment you touch down in your destination to the time you take off again for home
  • Sightseeing tours with expert local guides
  • Skip-the-line admission to all museums, cultural sites, and special events that are included in your itinerary
  • Overnight stays in clean, stylish, well-located hotels that our own staffers have stayed in and vetted
  • Transportation in your destination via private, luxury coach (depending on which tour you book, you may also travel by train, ferry, or airplane on tour )
  • Daily breakfast at your hotel (a relaxed, convenient way to fuel up for a full day of exploring)
  •  Some lunches and dinners at local restaurants or hotels
  • Free time to explore local restaurants, historical sites—anything that piques your interest—at your own pace
  • Airport transfers for travelers who book flights with us

Alaska Kenai & Denali Adventure

The trip was well-organized and Briannna was very efficient and helpful throughout. However, her presentations are very brief and clipped, almost to the point where they sound robotic. She needs to keep in mind that while she has said it all many times before, this is the first time the listener has heard it.

7 Day Southwest National Parks Grand Canyon Camping Tour

This was an amazing package! It covered everywhere I wanted to see in the South West area and our guide (John) was very good and familiar with what he was doing, he took us to places that we would not have known at all if not in the tour. The only thing that was off putting as a non-American, not to blame the tour but more a cultural shock, was that everywhere we went (including this tour itself) at the end we were supposed to tip which I had never seen in my entire life in Europe. But overall a very nice and memorable trip.

Majestic Alaska (10 Days) Tour

Majestic Alaska (10 Days)

I cannot speak highly enough of this tour. Kris, our tour director, as well as our driver Rose and wellness director Tyler, were all friendly, knowledgeable, and excited to share Alaska with us. Kris is such a warm people-person and consistently went over and above to make this tour what it was, including staying up one night and waking those of us on his list who wanted to see the Northern Lights. The itinerary was no doubt well laid out, but Kris added so many special touches to support Alaskan businesses but also to provide us with extra opportunities to connect with local Alaskans and have the most comfortable and enjoyable experience possible. September was a perfect time to experience this tour. My travel friend and I would highly recommend this trip.

American Parks Trail (Classic, End Denver, 9 Days)

The Tour Director and driver were first class, keeping us both very amused, and very safe. Some of the downsides were due to the weather, at times, which nothing could be done about, so we got on with it. Some of the main downs were due to my naivety, in thinking some facilities (like cash paying taxis from SLC airport; I persuaded a friendly Uber driver to accept cash!) were what I was used to, and that I wouldn't have to re-enter security when changing planes from LHR to SLC, at PHX, even though I was on a connecting, booked, flight, and my baggage had already been labelled for both airports appropriately, at LHR. Altogether, a very good, and memorable holiday, where I visited some parts of the Parks that I visited before, but saw many more, and different sights in them.

Alaska Journey National Geographic Journeys Tour

Alaska Journey National Geographic Journeys

We had a wonderful time. The tour was well planned and well managed. The CEO was excellent ..good driver, good communicator, had good knowledge of the local attractions and made great recommendations for restaurants. The group we were with was also a very pleasant group which made the experience that much more enjoyable. That said, would have loved to see the accommodations updated.. most except the Denali cabins were old and "weathered".

What people love about USA Tours

Everything was great organized, our CEO Megan was so kind and well prepared.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 7-day tour of the US southwest . We love the destinations included in the tour, every place we visited is on our bucket list. I wanted to pinch myself every day that I visited those iconic and beautiful places as shown in my photos below. We enjoyed all the extra, optional experiences that were suggested by the tour guide. They added more fun to the tour. The Hummer tour in Moab, Utah was one of the optional experiences and it was a blast! Not only it’s fun, you get to see the amazing scenery during the sunset. One previous review mentioned he or she was forced to participate in the Navajo taco dinner in Monument Valley. That comment is not true. You have a choice not to do that and the guide can make a different arrangement for you. The optional Navajo taco dinner is one of the highlights of the tour that we will remember for a long time. It would be a shame not to have this cultural experience when you get to meet Navajo people when you are in the Navajo Nation! Our tour guide, John did a fantastic job. He was full of enthusiasm and energy. He kept the tour well organized and always provided information we needed. We highly recommend the tour.
What a lifetime experience everyone needs Jun 2023 • Solo Within 7 days, we drove in 3 states, visited 5 national parks / 2 state parks, hiked 60 miles, made friends from 7 different states/nations, and eventually traveled through the iconic Route 66 back to Las Vegas. What a lifetime experience everyone needs Day 1 - Zion National Park Day 2 - Bryce Canyon National Park Day 3 - Canyonlands National Park Day 4 - Arches National Park Day 5 - Monument Valley Navajo Nation Day 6 - Grand Canyon National Park / Antelope State Day 7- Grand Canyon back to Las Vegas via Historic Route 66 AMAZING!

For those truly epic, once-in-a-lifetime destinations, you want to leave your itinerary to the experts. Whether your dream is to see the Big Five on an African Safari, trek tall mountains, explore European cities, or something even wilder, a group tour is the easiest way to do it.

However, picking the wrong group tour company is the quickest way to ruin your trip. Make sure you choose a tour company that aligns with your goals and travel styles. Do you want an intimate group tour or do you prefer to make lots of new friends in a big group? Does the price line up with what you like (luxury vs. budget)? Is the itinerary going to all the places you want to see?

We’ve done the research and found the very best group travel tour companies for 2023 for every type of traveler.

These small group tours operate with only around 12-16 people, and always feature experienced local leaders who can give you a unique insight into your destination. Exodus Travels caters to any type of travel style, including trips broken down by type of activity (think walking, cycling, multi-adventure, winter, or cultural) as well as type of traveler (family, age group, etc.). There are curated collections (coastal, “away from it all”, European wilderness, and trips of a lifetime) to inspire you, as well as self-guided options for when you want all the benefits of a group tour planner without the actual group. Looking for that special safari? Exodus Travels just partners with the African Wildlife Foundation to create carefully curated luxury adventures that go above and beyond the standard safari.

Exodus Travels tours work for almost any budget, with options that range from affordable to premium.

We live in an age of unprecedented access to digital technology – and with it, brand new ways of exploring the world around us.

While it's not quite the same as seeing, say, the Mona Lisa or Christ the Redeemer in person, some of the world’s most popular and remote destinations have created libraries of online images and video, as well as 360 degree virtual tours that let you virtually explore museums, galleries, world wonders and even national parks.

Here a just a few of the best digital tours that let you wander the world from wherever you may be social distancing.

A woma nin a pink technical fabric top and matching pants and a black cap with a brim walks past the orange buildings and clay roofs of the Choijin Lama Museum in Ulan Bator with a green camera sphere from Google Street View strapped to her back

See the seven wonders of the world

If there’s anything capable of whetting your appetite for world travel, it is the new seven wonders of the world:  the Great Wall of China , the ancient city of Petra , the Taj Mahal , the Colosseum , Machu Picchu , Christ the Redeemer , and Chichen Itza . Thankfully there are impressive virtual tours of each from The New York Times , AirPano , Google , and Panoramas .

With modern technology, you can even see the last standing wonder of the ancient world— The Pyramids of Giza . There are a few other wonders that might not make it into to the top seven but are still worth a digital peek, like the Alhambra , Seville's La Giralda , and even Easter Island.

The Egyptian Antiquities room in the Lovure Museum is empty except for several statues of various sizes from Tanis, Karnak, and Thebes

Best virtual museum tours

In recent years, Google has partnered with over 2,5000 art museums to upload high-resolution versions of millions of pieces of art. Highlights include New York’s MoMA , DC’s National Gallery of Art , Chicago’s Art Institute , the Casa Battl ó, and Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum to name a few.

In addition, The Louvre offers a virtual tour , as do The Vatican Museums , many of the Smithsonian Museums , the Russian Museum , the top-rated British Museum , the Minneapolis  Museum of Russian Art , and the Palace Museum in Beijing.

You may not be able to kiss the Blarney Stone right now, but you can tour the Blarney Castle from afar. You can also visit the Museum of Flight,  the Museum of Science, the Museum of Natural History,  the National Women's History Museum  and Boston's History of Science Museum .

While museums are often an inherently visual experience, there's a lot to be learned from archives of past lectures and tours like the ones preserved online by Nashville's Frist Museum , the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the Smithsonian American Art Museum,  the Frick , and others.

Explore national parks

While travel to National Parks is best avoided for the time being, you don't need to miss out on the scenery. Virtual Yosemite is absolutely stunning and one of the best, replete with audio. Both Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore offer virtual tours as well.

Google has similar 360 degree audio-visual tours of five select national parks, including Kenai Fjords, Hawai'i Volcanos , Carlsbad Caverns, Bryce Canyon , and Dry Tortugas, as well as 31 more on Google Earth . You can also get an up-close look at almost 4,000 pieces of artwork, artifacts, and other treasures related to the history and culture of the national parks, and view online exhibits .

Digital safaris

Wildlife is a big draw for travelers, whether it's sighting some of the Big Five in Africa, glimpsing whales in North America, or introducing your children to new animals in person on a family safari . But if you're forays into the bush are grounded for now, many zoos and aquariums have created digital access to their habitats.

You can easily watch several live webcams of some of the nation’s greatest zoos and aquariums, including the  San Diego Zoo , Houston Zoo , Zoo Atlanta , the Tennessee Aquarium , and the Georgia Aquarium . Additionally you can see Canadian farm animals doing their thing , or you could watch Stella the Dog jump endlessly into huge piles of Maine leaves.

Virtual hiking

Thanks to panoramic video, you can get a really good idea of what a hike looks like well before you arrive at the trailhead. For example, you can experience all of the following top-rated hikes right now from your computer or tablet:  Bryce Canyon , Grand Canyon , GR20 , Inca Trail , and the death-defying Angel's Landing . For even more great hikes, simply YouTube one of Lonely Planet’s top 10 treks or any other hike that suits your fancy. Bonus points if you follow along during a workout to enhance the realism.

Famous landmarks

You can visit many wonders of nature, including the Amazon Rainforest , Iguazu Falls , the Komodo Islands , or Table Mountain , using virtual tours. Or you can explore the Statue of Liberty , the Sahara Desert , Niagara Falls , or even a guided tour of the Eiffel Tower . For even more virtual tours, search your bucket list of adventures with  AirPano , Google Earth , or YouTube .

Travel to outer space

The moon hasn't made it to Lonely Planet's Best In Travel list (yet!), and even without self-isolation and shelter-in-place measures for COVID-19, many of us may never travel to space. But thanks to technology, now is as good of a time as any to do so virtually. Before blasting off, considering touring some of NASA’s offices first. Then relive the last lunar missions and moon walks in stunning HD. Or take a virtual tour of Mars with the help of Google.

BUSINESS STRATEGIES

14 best travel and tourism websites to inspire your own

  • Kylie Goldstein

Travel website of Villa Aphrodite showing a sunny destination

While the pandemic affected many industries, it irrevocably changed the travel and tourism sector. As the World Economic Forum reports , “In 2020 alone, the [tourism] sector lost $4.5 trillion and 62 million jobs, impacting the living standards and well-being of communities across the globe. Moreover, the halt in international travel gave both leisure and business travelers the chance to consider the impact of their choices on the climate and environment.”

That being said, airline ticket prices are starting to rise again and airports are struggling to keep up with demand. Furthermore, amid current economic and environmental shifts, more travelers are seeking sustainable tourism options—and the industry has begun to adapt.

Whether you’re new to tourism—curating local experiences or renting out your home—or a travel veteran who has weathered the storm of tourism woes, there’s no better time to create a website for your tourism and travel types of businesses - its the perfect service business idea . We’ve compiled a list of some of the best travel websites, plus a few tips on what to include on your own.

What is a tourism and travel website?

The tourism and travel industry has become more accessible than ever. The internet has made it easier to research, plan and book trips, all with just a few clicks. You can find everything from flights, hotels, and restaurants to car rentals and local experiences online.

A tourism or travel website serves as an information hub for prospective travelers planning a getaway. Today, people travel for a range of experiences—babymoons, staycations, voluntourism or bleisure—you name it. So, provide as much relevant information as possible to help users plan their trips.

When creating a travel website, entice travelers with blogs or video content that offers insider tips and local secrets. You can discuss practical information like local currency, customs and expectations, or review or rating popular destinations. You can also supply average local prices for travel necessities, offer tips for transportation or even add a Google Map of your favorite spots.

Tip: You can understand how to plan your website , then make your hotel website with Wix, complete with ready-made travel and tourism templates .

Travel and tourism website design tips

Whether you have created a hotel website  starting from scratch or you are updating your current travel website, keep these design tips in mind.

Include a logo.  A logo can help establish consistency for your brand’s online presence. A good logo should communicate the crux of your destination, tour company or rental and help visitors make a positive association with your business before they even arrive. You can use a free logo maker  to design a logo for your travel website, plus use it for business cards, brochures, branded merchandise and social media channels.

Ensure a cohesive design.  Select a representative color palette for your brand and stick to it throughout your travel website’s visual identity. For example, if you run a natural spa getaway, stick to tranquil and calming colors over rugged and earthy tones that better match an extreme sports tour guide. With Wix’s editor's site and theme design , you can customize your website colors, fonts and images and maintain a cohesive look with automatic theme updates across your site’s pages. Also check out some of these general website examples  for inspiration.

Use images.  For prospective travelers planning their future getaways, high-quality images can immediately transport them to your destination. We recommend using  JPEG ,  PNG  and GIF files for images to appear their best on your site.

Don’t overload pages.  Travel is all about the escape. Make your site’s user experience just as relaxing as traveling should be—don’t overload it with superfluous content or features. Tip:  Build your travel website with Wix website performance  at its core. Sites offer better page load speed plus Wix’s site speed dashboard  to test, analyze and optimize your site’s performance for both desktop and mobile.

Think about site hierarchy.  As visitors explore your site, you want them to receive relevant information and experience your offering efficiently. Prioritize your main pages and create menus, headers and subheaders that clearly reflect this hierarchy. Not only will this create a better user experience (and hopefully convert visitors to customers), but it will also make it easier for Google’s search engine robots to scan and index your pages.

Make it mobile friendly.  Mobile accounts for approximately half  of web traffic worldwide, meaning potentially half (or more) of visitors will explore your website via their devices. Creating a mobile-friendly travel and tourism website will ensure a better experience, regardless of device. Tip:  The Wix Editor automatically creates a mobile version for every website  it designs.

Lean into templates : Templates are a great way to create a design-friendly travel and tourism website in an efficient way. Here's a selection of our favorite travel and tourism templates from Wix: Travel services templates , Travel agency template , Food and travel website templates , Travel blog template , Travel documentary templates , Hotel and BnB website templates.

Consider SEO.  If you optimize your travel website content to rank on search engines, you can increase your traffic. How? First, target specific keywords. For example, think of your prospective travelers: what questions or phrases might they search for that could lead them to your tourism website? Integrate these keywords into your website content. Tip:  Check out Wix SEO features  or the Wix SEO hub  for more detailed steps that’ll help your travel website perform better on search engines.

Maintain your travel website . Just as you care for your hotel or tours, you need to apply the same TLC to your website. Fresh and up-to-date content (like prices and current links) can help users get the most out of their experience.

Try out new technologies.  Following the latest travel technology trends , try integrating a chat bot for quick responses and user engagement or use 3D/AR viewer  to give users a virtual tour of your destination.

The 10 Best Designed Tourism Websites in the World 2022

Mary Ann Ha , Skift

June 15th, 2022 at 2:30 AM EDT

In a frantic attempt to avoid being left behind, official tourism organization websites are doing their best to catch up to the high expectations of the new traveler — tourists of the post-pandemic digital age.

Mary Ann Ha

Almost every tourist these days is making decisions about their travels based on what they see online. From themed trips to budgeted food tours, travelers crave previews of potential destinations and surf the internet to learn anything they can about a new and exciting spot.

Due to intense levels of pent-up travel demand followed by impulsive and impatient post-pandemic travelers, tourism website design is more important now than ever before. The competitive space for well-designed websites is more ambitious, and reliance on digital platforms as a dependable resource for travel inspiration is at an all-time high. Looking at the Gen Z traveler, it’s easy to notice that attention spans have shortened immensely, and tourists are treating trip planning like a shopping experience, picking and choosing elements of their vacations after engaging in a few seconds of appeal.

With that being said, tourism organizations are slowly learning that the old ways simply don’t work anymore — paragraphs of information on the screen, redirection that continues tab after tab, slow and clunky navigational experiences, depressing color palettes, and promotional descriptions of sites that don’t answer any of the truly important questions, especially for a more conscious traveler worried about climate change, and other threats.

After two years of rapidly-evolving digital growth, several websites have succeeded in breaking out of that dull and repetitive cycle. Here is Skift’s 2022 list of best designed tourism websites — ones that hit the spot both visually and navigationally, and are taking note of what the modern traveler wants, how they think, and most importantly, how they behave.

1. Visit Iceland

tour websites

The clean-cut and minimalistic nature of Nordic graphic design works well to communicate visual appeal, send concise messages with clarity (or humor), and entice further curiosity with minimal effort, especially in the website world. Visit Iceland leads our list with a transitional homepage display, decorated with background images that hover along the page as they overlap and interact with the text on the screen, making the website feel inviting and alive.

As users scroll further down, the website displays excellent examples of utilizing the organized nature of drop-down menus and vertically moving lists. With a clean white background and bold capitalized black font, readers are able to quickly catch sight of what they want to read, without feeling overwhelmed by options. Blog articles of potential itineraries and Iceland travel tips are also organized in a format reminiscent of Youtube, integrated with carousel elements that are easy to view via mobile phone.

Accessibility to greener travel options within the website is always a plus — Visit Iceland has an entire page dedicated to helping travelers join in on Iceland’s commitment to preserving their nature, including a list of environmentally certified businesses, a carbon footprint calculator, and an easy-to-follow list of tips for sustainable travel in Iceland.

2. Visit California

tour websites

While the homepage might look typical at first glance, Visit California’s “Experience California” layout is one of the best designs we’ve seen in the tourism website game. Swipe left as soon as you get onto the landing page (a surprising, but not too complicated way to navigate the site, which keeps visitors engaged), and users are immediately whisked into a three-dimensional space to explore what the state of California has to offer to their tourists.

To the new millennial and Gen Z traveler, design and aesthetic can be just as or more important as destination information and travel guidance. Interactive visuals and bold colors speak to the character of California as a vacation spot, filled with globally cultural experiences and advanced businesses in design and technology — adding to the visitor’s impression of what a trip to California could be like.

As the home of Los Angeles and the land of influencers, Visit California also fully embraces the use of User-Generated Content as a promotional tool, and displays this in an easy-to-digest format.

3. Z ürich Tourism

tour websites

Speaking of Nordic graphic design and user-generated content, the official website for the city of Zurich is another example of the excellent use of white space. Dedication to sans serif typography, a two-to-three cool tone color palette, and an extremely simplistic, clean layout keeps visitors from feeling overwhelmed and allows for a breathing space to go through all the activities offered on the website.

Beneath several of the suggested activities, restaurants, and bars, the Zurich website also labels whether the business is open or the service is being offered in real time, a unique feature that can be extremely helpful for travelers who are looking for last minute places to enjoy or spontaneously plan a day trip.

Their user-generated content page is a delightfully neat design, with the page tab linked as a single hashtag in the top menu. The entire page acts as a unified social media feed, making all their social media coverage on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram visually accessible in one view.

3. Visit Brazil

tour websites

Visit Brazil has all information and links available on their homepage, split into four sections: Experiences, Destinations, Regions, and Travel Information.

Aesthetically, a framework of yellow is filled with a line-up of action-packed visuals, picture and video, and a section dedicated to Instagram content. They know their visitors, and they recognize that in-your-face video content appeals to those who are looking for some sort of adventure. The video that takes up the entire homepage display keeps visitors engaged at initial glance, and while the website prioritizes promoting their adventurous activities, they balance “fun” with “necessity” and make sure to give easy access to the safety information travelers will need to know when coming to Brazil.

tour websites

We all know New York City could be its own state, with experience offerings that are equivalent to those of a country.

Set up like a booking site, the NYCgo’s most impressive elements include the UX framework that is deeply familiar to the modern traveler — searching for hotels or accommodations via a search engine reminiscent to short-term rental or airline sites, being able to “like” and save posts or articles for later referral, and of course, a function that offers filtered options to find activities and locations catered to the visitor’s personal preference.

tour websites

The bold, graffiti-like font that covers the homepage and is used throughout the website is simple, which is a necessary move considering how much text is on the front page. It’s also a great aesthetic choice, a subtle way of speaking to the headlines that cover billboards in NYC. While the website offers slews of information on the homepage, the way it is formatted and presented to the user keeps the aesthetic uncluttered and down-to-earth.

6. Visit Finland

tour websites

From the logo, to overall design, to choice of font, Visit Finland’s website displays similarities to another extremely popular rental booking site, but when it comes to approachability and visual appeal, borrowing those design elements works in their favor.

The website is a smooth, transparent, and, of course, familiar experience — one that is both modular and linear, showing dedication to navigational simplicity. The design does not shy away from white space and minimalism much like its Nordic counterparts also on this list. Complete use of full-screen photos and stunning imagery is a highlight, as well as the level of scroll-responsive interactivity visitors experience as they explore the site.

This website also displays various Finnish activities and locations through the save/heart feature, referencing a user experience often seen in online shopping or Pinterest mood boards. The layout feels particularly responsive to the nature of the Gen Zers who spend all their time on social media “saving” posts and ideas.

7. Visit Australia

tour websites

Like we’ve seen on other websites on the list, the Visit Australia website is hugely loyal to the tile format, which could feel silly if overused, but because the tiles are lined up and sectioned in a cohesive manner, visitors will find it extremely easy to find options for each and every aspect of destination planning. The homepage is lined with left-right carousels of vertical images, appealing to younger generations and optimized for mobile formats.

Drop down menus are also a highlight for this website design. Instead of cluttering the frame with an overwhelming amount of text, the tile format keeps the menu options visually engaging for the user. Integration of beautiful imagery within every step of the user experience shows great dedication towards marketing the destination, which is, ultimately the main purpose of a tourism organization.

The Visit Australia website offers everything, from itineraries and cultural or geographical activity guides to budgeting and accommodation deals. Recognizing that budget is an important factor for many travelers is also a major plus for any tourism website, as it keeps website visitors within the website instead of browsing other platforms for “best or most affordable deals”.

Perhaps the highlight of the site is Explore Australia in 8D, an interactive exploratory experience that allows visitors to move through a map of the entire mainland of Australia, including a few islands surrounding the area, and see what each region has to offer, from attractions to lodging and food.

tour websites

As much as Peru is receiving growing interest as a travel destination in recent years, the country also seems to be extremely conscious about communicating COVID safety measures and restrictions to potential tourists. The immediate landing page of the tourism website gives visitors easy access to ways to prepare and plan for a trip to Peru from home, beginning with multiple avenues to check and double check updated Covid protocols. Showing this level of diligence to Covid measures not only communicates the fact that Peru takes safety protocols seriously, but also allows for international travelers to cross ‘testing or vaccination requirements’, still a major concern at this time, off their list of potential worries.

The team at Peru Travel also takes advantage of the numerous recognitions, media coverage, and awards that Peru receives as a tourism destination, and pushes that at the forefront of their website design.

The most exciting part of the website is perhaps the VR page, called Peru 360, where one can “visit” various sites throughout Peru in a virtual reality. While this is a method that has grown in popularity amongst a lot of brands during the pandemic, very few official tourism websites have been successful in offering a well-established experience that feels interactive beyond typical images or videos.

9. Visit Italy

tour websites

Italy has long-been a tourist-heavy destination, and the team at Visit Italy knows it. At the forefront of their website are easy ways to search, budget, and book the top tourist attractions through the best deals. Viewers barely need to scroll down the homepage before getting immediate access to the Ticket Carousel, with exact prices listed by attraction or location.

Visit Italy’s website isn’t the most ambitious platform design-wise, but it prioritizes digestible formats, such as buttons for each step in planning or tiled carousels, and feels easy-to-navigate overall, especially considering all the information on their homepage.

It’s clear that the website knows what their visitors need — to beat lines, to get the best prices, and to make the most of their time in one of the most famous cities in the world that Italy has to offer. The site is ideal for the tourist who needs to prioritize planning and booking over aesthetic photo inspirations. The website also acts as a search engine of sorts, and does not shy away from redirecting their visitors to other booking sites or options in order to make the best decisions.

10. Visit Greenland

Visit Greenland’s website also sets up like a familiar search engine site (a trend we are observing across most of the designs on this list) but serves mostly for travel inspiration and local informational purposes. The layout of the website is simple and loyal to the use of white space, which allows for their unique graphic design elements to shine through in this particular design.

tour websites

Not only are the three-dimensional illustrations beautiful, but they are also interactive, acting as links to the respective relative pages.

Aside from engaging geographic and cultural graphics, the website also lines up options of various package tours that lead to external provider links, who are more well-versed in helping potential visitors move forward in their planning and exploration process. Because Greenland is a nature-heavy travel destination, the website focuses on displaying a variety of outdoor activities — based on personal interests or geographical location — in order to prevent travelers from feeling deprived of diverse activities.

_________________________________________________________________________________________

Innovative methods in the digital world are getting increasing ambitious day by day and website designs are trying to be as responsive as possible, as to make sure they maintain their presence in the travel planning space.

In addition to the websites on our list, several other tourism organizations are diving into unique measures to gain attention from the ever-so-hungry tourist of the post-pandemic travel world. Interactive games, like Cape Town’s Virtual Game Tourism Campaign , are one of the few ways these organizations hope to attract younger audiences and give a virtual taste of their destination to potential travelers. The Machu Pichu 360 website invites visitors to enter the world of VR and includes auditory stimulants, a step up from the Peru 360 page in our list, that engages both eyes and ears to fill the void travelers have all been experiencing during Covid.

With the competitive space for tourism websites expanding at an increasing speed and mobile apps taking the spotlight from website platforms , tourism organizations and designers will most likely continue to borrow elements of the newly digital world to keep their platforms running.

Nice experience....

Tour of Do Dham - Yamunotri & Gangotri for 7 days from 10.05.22 to 16.05.22 Overall arrangements were very good. Our Darshan of both Yamunotri & Gangotri was very nice. Hotels arranged were good. We are Tour My India's repeat customers. We just love to deal with Manvendra and we find him and his suggestions really genuine and trust worthy. We recently toured the entire of J and K along with Leh Ladakh. It is tailor made for our requirements. Manvendra ensured that the vacation stayed with in our budget. There were absolutely no hiccups and we thoroughly enjoyed the trip all along. I will definitely start planning my next trip with Tour My India guided by Manvendra.

We used Tour My India to visit Ranthambore National Park. Our contact person was Mr Naveen who was very thorough in answering my questions and providing information before and during our tour. Our driver to and from Jaipur was Mr Vikas. Driving in India can be a little wild, so we appreciated his safe driving. Our train out of Jaipur was later in the evening, so Mr Naveen arranged with Mr Vikas to take us to a restaurant for lunch and then be available to take us to the station. We appreciated this extra care attention to what we needed! Although we did not get to see any tigers, we did enjoy our visit to Ranthambore National Park!

Through various dance forms, music, paintings, and literature, we are better able to learn more about the practices and beliefs of a culture. Art is just one aspect of the culture of a community. Art and culture are essential for the survival of a civilization, but they also function as a means to understand history. Talking about the country of India, it is one of the largest countries in the world, both in terms of area and population. It also has one of the most diverse mixes of cultures, which makes every region of the country stand out. The region of North India has been at the forefront of India's fight for freedom. The various states in the area, with their different topographies, bring in different variations in culture even though they are in close proximity to each other. For example, if we look at the mountainous region of Uttarakhand, Ladakh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh, they create and wear traditionally woven beautiful Pankhi and Pashmina Shawls, which keep them warm during the harsh winters. Himachal is also known for its Angora wool Shawls, made from the soft coats of Angora rabbits. On the other hand, the Kota Doria fabric of Rajasthan is more suitable for the state's weather, being a light and airy material perfect for summers.

Rajasthan is also known for its puppetry art or "Kathputli," originally used for entertainment, which later became a medium to depict various socio-cultural issues as well. Rajasthan is also home to another famous fort called the Bandhavgarh Fort, infamous for being one of the haunted places in the country! Known for its display of sound and emotion, the Ragamala Paintings of the state are also highly cherished.

The philosophical practice of Yoga is said to have originated in the Himalayas, with Rishikesh in Uttarakhand widely known as the "Yoga Capital of the World." One of the prominent classical dances of India, Kathak, originated from the traveling storytellers of North India during the era of the Bhakti Movement, and includes epics and stories of Indian mythology. The earliest form of modern chess was also created during the reign of the Gupta Dynasty to help the young princes better understand military strategy. The double-edged sword of Khanda, primarily used by the Rajputs, also seemed to have been in use since the Gupta period. Along with the Khanda, the Chakram is also a weapon native to North India, made by Sikh warriors who also developed the martial art of Gatka. The practice aims to coordinate the mind and body to defend oneself and others.

This mix of arts, cultures & history in this region of the country is also visible in its monuments like the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, Qutub Minar, Agra Fort, Jantar Mantar, Golden Temple, Hawa Mahal, and memorial places such as the India Gate and the Jallianawala Bagh.

The Southern region of India is enriched from an arts, culture, and history perspective. It is home to a number of classical dances such as Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, and Mohiniyattam, each showcasing its own unique style and narrative. The region is also famously known for its exquisite Kancheepuram, Ikat, and the white and gold Kasavu Silk sarees, which are admired for their craftsmanship and elegance. The renowned painter Raja Ravi Varma also hails from Southern India, specifically from Kerala. His paintings are still cherished today for their display of Indian storytelling through European art and aesthetics, capturing the essence of mythological tales and cultural scenes. Originating in the 16th century in India, the Deccani style of miniature paintings grew in popularity during the Islamic reign and showcased the Persian style of art in its initial stages before Indian artists took over, resulting in a fascinating fusion of influences.

South India is also known for its various handicrafts, such as the Aranmula Metal Mirror, Coir work, Palm leaf work, Seashell carving, and the fragrant Sandalwood carving. The region is also famous for creating the Urumi Whip Sword, a unique bladed weapon designed like a whip, known for its complexity and challenge in maneuvering. It originated in the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu and is presently used in the native martial arts of Kalaripayattu. Tamil Nadu and Kerala also celebrate prominent harvest festivals of the region, Pongal and Onam, respectively, which showcase the cultural richness and traditions of the southern states.

Being the land of Dravidian architecture, South India boasts numerous historical temples and monuments, such as the iconic Hampi of the Vijayanagar Empire in present-day Karnataka, the revered Tirupati Balaji Temple, the magnificent Ramanathaswamy Rameshwaram Temple, Vithala Temple, Suchindram Temple, and the awe-inspiring Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple. The influence of being a colonial land is also visible in the regions of Puducherry and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which display their own French and British architectural styles of buildings. Puducherry, having been a French colony for around 158 years, still retains French as one of the spoken languages in the union territory.

Though being part of the same country, the scripts of North and South India vary immensely. Their origins in the Brahmi language caused variations along the way, as the script travelled upward from the South. Different mediums used to write the script are attributed to this difference. For example, the rounded lettering of Southern languages is due to them being written on leaves, whereas the use of cloth and birch bark as mediums allowed for the angular lettering of the North to be written more effectively.

The states of Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal in the eastern part of India are among the top five states with the highest coal reserves in the country. The Konark Sun Temple of Odisha is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dedicated to the Sun God Surya, the temple is built as a Chariot with twenty-four wheels led by horses. East India is also known for its popular classical dance known as Odissi, along with its folk dances of Jat-Jatin and Santhali. Jat-Jatin is performed by women in the Mithila region of Bihar during the monsoon season, whereas Santhali is performed by the Santhal tribes of Jharkhand. Also famous is the Chhau dance of West Bengal. It is an open-air dance/performance with its origin in martial arts and tribal traditions. It depicts instances from epics like the Mahabharata and the Ramayana. Talking about martial arts, Odisha has its own martial art known as Paika. Chhau uses movements from this art.

Paika is a very old form of martial arts and can be compared to the Kalaripayattu of Kerala and foreign martial arts like Wushu and Judo. Bihar in East India is known for its Madhubani wall paintings as well. Originated in Mithila, it dates back to the age of the Ramayana. The themes of the paintings vary but revolve around love and fertility and include deities, sun, moon, flora, and fauna, etc. Although it is a style of wall painting, these are now painted on various mediums. Another art form of this region of the country is the Patachitra art form, known for its bold lines and strokes, and painted on a scroll to present a story. The Batik art style of West Bengal is a unique one with its usage of dyes and wax to paint a picture.

North East is home to one of the most beautiful landscapes in the country, with its mighty mountains and quaint valleys sure to charm you. Manipuri of Manipur and Sattriya of Assam are the famous classical dances belonging to the region. Assam also has the folk dance of Bihu, performed during the harvest festival under the same name, by men and women while wearing the traditional clothing of the state. Bardo Chham of Arunachal Pradesh is a dance performance where dancers wear colorful masks and represent the result of performing good deeds over evil. Cheraw, more commonly known as the Bamboo Dance of Meghalaya, is a dance where the dancers dance in a rhythmic beat played by the bamboo placed in a criss-cross formation. The state of Manipur is the originator of the Thang Ta martial art form. It is a kind of martial art based on the usage of external weapons along with the internal practice of physical control. It is more than just fighting; it includes physical control and breathing methods. Some forms of Thang Ta are ritualistic in nature and are performed at special rites such as funerals.

The North eastern region is also well-known for its crafts made of bamboo, cane, and reeds. It is also known for weaving some of the finest silks, such as the Eri, Muga, and Pat silk types. Eri silk, made in Assam, is often called "Peace silk" because of the way it is produced. It is extracted from the cocoons of moths who have already emerged, unlike other methods where the cocoons containing the pupae are boiled. In this method, no insects are killed, hence the name "Peace silk." The North East also has some wonderful and historically prominent sites, such as the Urgelling Gompa in Arunachal Pradesh. This monastery is considered important for the followers of Buddhism since it is said to be the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Manipur's Kangla Fort is also of immense significance to the people of Manipur. Kangla used to be the state's capital, a major political and religious center, and is highly regarded by the Manipuris as a major landmark in their history. Next is the Water Palace or the Neer Mahal. It is a royal palace built by the Manikya Empire from Tripura.

It is situated in the middle of the Rudrasagar Lake and is a beautiful display of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Apart from these, truly marvelous to behold are the living root bridges of Meghalaya. These bridges are made by the indigenous people of the Khasi and Jaintia tribes over centuries, using the roots of trees. They make it possible for them to travel and are helpful during the monsoon season when most rivers overflow. Prominent living root bridges in Meghalaya are the Nongriat and the Cherrapunji root bridges. These bridges are a display of the harmony between nature and people. Another fascinating concept from the Northeast is the Nghah Lou Dawr. At a distance of 65 kilometers from Aizawl, the capital city of Mizoram, there are shops called Nghah Lou Dawr. These shops sell vegetables, fruits, and regional eatables. What makes these shops special is the absence of a shopkeeper! These shops do not have a shopkeeper but have prices listed and expect the customers to pay for whatever they buy honestly. These shops are need-based, as many of the owners are farmers who do not have help to run both the farm and the shop. Despite there being no surveillance, these shops work well due to the trust the farmers have in people.

When you’re in the business of selling tours, the most important thing to do is get your service seen by the right people. But where and how do you find your audience? Matt Davison of  Travel Tractions gives his insights.

tour websites

When you’re in the business of selling tours, the most important thing to do is get your service seen by the right people. But where and how do you find your audience?

Thankfully, the web is already filled with online tour booking sites where tour operators (or  tourpreneurs ) can list and sell their tours. There’s a long list of these places.

You’ll find area-specific sites, as well as tour websites for specific niches. So where do you start when it comes to Online Tour Booking Sites?

Running your own tour business is hard, there are a million and one things to do, so it’s important to focus on what works. We’re a big fan of the 80/20 rule, so we’ve handpicked this list offering 10 of the best Online Tour Booking Sites These sites target audiences from around the world and offer the best opportunities to get your tours seen and booked by thousands of people each month.

These sites target audiences from around the world and offer the best opportunities to get your tours seen and booked by thousands of people each month.

These OTAs are not listed in ranking order. You decide which is the best online tour booking site (OTA) for you.

GetYourGuide

The site lists all kinds of tours, from all over the world, from city passes to guided walking tours.

You do need a legally operating business as well as an insurance policy. It’s free to sign up and list your tours, and commission is only paid on successful bookings. The website has helpful resources for tourpreneurs to upload, edit, and manage their listed tours.

Sign up here:  https://supplier.getyourguide.com/

Viator and Tripadvisor Experiences

The great thing about signing up with Viator is that they’re connected to Tripadvisor Experiences as well. So you’re getting two listings in one.

On these platforms, everyone is welcome. So even smaller tourpreneurs stand the chance to benefit from the 350 million visitors each month. They also offer some pretty  handy features . On Viator, you also get full control of your tours. Images, descriptions, and your price (minus the commission) is added by you.

Sign up here:  https://supplier.viator.com/sign-up-info

Another big site to list your tours on is Expedia. They see over 140 million visitors each month and have a considerable portfolio which includes Travelocity and Orbitz.

Expedia has what they call Destination Managers, who will contact you and approve your listing. They’re also available to help you with the process, great if you’re not familiar with it. For every tour booked on their platform, Expedia takes a percentage in commission.

Airbnb Experiences

Airbnb has already allowed many people to open their homes, meet travelers, and make some money along the way. Now, passionate tourpreneurs can list on Airbnb Experiences.

This one is a little more tricky. While TourRadar offers fantastic opportunities for many tourpreneurs, they’re not  always  ready to accept new listings. They do have a waiting list, though, which is worth signing up to.

Once you’re accepted, your tours will benefit from the 3 million monthly website visits and 2 million email subscribers. They also have great customer service, and their app makes things smoother as well.

Sign up (or join the waiting list) here:  https://operators-news.tourradar.com/list-your-tours

If you’re a new tourpreneur, just starting out, this may be the exact platform for you. WithLocals matches local tour guides with tourists visiting their cities. Their list of tour operators includes freelancers and established local agencies.

Their tours are big in Asia and Europe, but they’ve started branching out to the rest of the world as well. You won’t pay the site for listing your tour, a charge is made to the users who book instead.

Sign up here:  https://www.withlocals.com/become-a-host/

Klook started – and has become quite popular – in Asia. But now, they’re expanding globally. While there are still a few destinations not yet reached, it’s just a matter of time.

They target an audience of visitors to both Asia and parts of Europe, with quite a chunk of users being in the USA. They also have a convenient mobile app which makes things so much easier for both partners and customers.

When you sign up for free to their partner program, you’ll be contacted by one of the team to discuss a commission structure. It’s still a very personal experience.

Sign up here:  https://www.klook.com/partner/

Thrillophilia

Award-winning and far-reaching, Thrillophilia provides a space for your tours to be seen by millions of travelers. They’re well-known and loved by both users and partners.

There are many categories for tours, including a range of activities, day tours, and even rentals. So there’s bound to be a spot for your tours. A definite bonus of listing with them is their convenient mobile app, allowing tours to be booked and managed on the go.

Sign up here:  https://www.thrillophilia.com/suppliers/

Adrenaline Hunter

For tours that offer excitement and action, Adrenaline Hunter is the best place to list them. They list everything from shark diving to rock climbing, in over 100 countries.

Get your tours seen by more than 400,000 visitors each month and benefit from a global audience. You’ll have full control over your guests and their bookings, including the ability to approve and decline bookings.

Sign up here:  https://providers.adrenaline-hunter.com/en-GB/

Time To Start Your Tour Advertising & Selling

This list is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many channels of distribution in the tourism industry, you just have to know which ones to use. Sites like Getyourguide, Viator, Tourradar are great starting points.

The fantastic thing about listing your tours online is that you don’t have to pick just one. None of the above-mentioned tour sites holds you to any contract which prohibits you from listing your tours anywhere else.

So take a few hours and list your tours on as many as you can. You’ll get more exposure and have a much higher chance of securing bookings.

He’s straightened out his putting and put together big wins at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Players Championship.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — He’s gone to Carolina in his mind and on tour for much of 2024.

Not long after his 76th birthday, James Taylor & His All-Star Band will take their show on the road in the United States, hitting 24 cities for 31 shows in five months.

Over Zoom from his studio in western Massachusetts, Taylor tells The Associated Press “It’s been September since the last time I’ve been out.” That, he says, is “a long time for me.”

The tour kicks off in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl on May 29 and ends at Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, Virginia, on Sept. 15.

The tour hits Salt Lake City; Morrison, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; St. Louis; Highland Park, Illinois; Noblesville, Indiana; Nashville, Tennessee; North Little Rock, Arkansas; Thackerville, Oklahoma; Clarkston, Michigan; Darien Center, New York; Syracuse, New York; Bethel Woods, New York; Bangor, Maine; Gilford, New Hampshire; Lenox, Massachusetts; Philadelphia; Wantagh, New York; Saratoga Springs, New York; Bridgeport, Connecticut; Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, and Boston.

This interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

AP: Before the continental U.S. tour, you’re headed to Japan, the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Hawaii. What keeps it interesting?

TAYLOR: The audience, always. The event itself has never failed to supply the motivation and the energy that is required. You know, it’s very compelling to go a great distance and to find a crowd of people that have bought tickets to come see me and the band play again.

Over time, it’s something you learn to do, to keep your strength up, keep your health... also, I don’t do more than a couple of shows in a row without a day off. I’ll do more than that if I’m in one town, but generally speaking, we pace ourselves now.

AP: That’s good advice.

TAYLOR: I definitely burned myself out a few times.

AP: You’re performing at Tanglewood, in your home state of Massachusetts, 50 years since you first performed there. What significance does it hold?

TAYLOR: I was trying to figure out whether or not it was 50 years or 50 shows that I’ve been playing at Tanglewood, and it turns out it’s both. 1974 was the first time I played there. It averages out to one a year, although at one point we skipped a whole decade.

We had an episode where one of my crew members, in a fit of pique, drove a truck across the Tanglewood lawn and made a mess of it. He was told he had to get the truck off the lawn because it had been raining and it was making an imprint on it. As we were breaking down after the show, he was driving out there to unload the mixing board and stuff. But he put it in reverse, stomped the accelerator and tore a great trough, a great furrow in the Tanglewood lawn. And they never asked me back. It was only when (my wife) Kim came along and resurrected my reputation that I was allowed to come back.

It’s been a great privilege... It’s turned out to be a great thing for me, to play Tanglewood every year.

AP: Does an anniversary like that — 50 years — allow you to reflect on your career?

TAYLOR: This is the time of life when you feel like you ought to get in touch with a lawyer and make a will. You see, the older generation, the people that were your friends and mentors, sort of checking out one by one . It is a time when you feel as though things are being summed up a little bit and you start thinking about, the whole thing as a totality. You know, a line from one of my songs, “Copperline,” is “I’m only living ‘til the end of the week,” and I think that really does describe me.

But, you know, it is a period of time when you look back and see the whole thing, it’s important not to internalize that idea of being a big deal. It’s important to focus on what it is that you do — and that thing as a craft that allows you to have your place in the world.

AP: What has that allowed you to learn?

TAYLOR: As time goes by, I think it’s wrong for people to judge other people and even to evaluate them, and yet it’s something we constantly do, and we can’t avoid it. But we should mitigate it by knowing that when we judge someone, we’ve got it wrong. They know who they are, and not we. But, of course, in a million ways, all day long, we evaluate ourselves and other people and it’s complicated. It’s not up to me determine what my ultimate position in popular culture turns out to be 50 years from now.

AP: That’s a value judgment, too.

TAYLOR: I see people selling the rights to their catalogs. That baby boom generation musical expression, which happened between ’62 and 1980, that sort of 20 years of amazing activity that happened, I was in the center of it and actually got my start in London with the Beatles . So, I had a real sense of this generational phenomenon that the music that I was part of, was a big feature in the landscape and we were communicating to each other. We invented a kind of music there. It was predicted by rhythm and blues and folk music. And those two resurgences sort of fueled it and supplied it. It was big.

You see those people now, being in my sort of age group generally, selling the rights to their catalogs and sort of evaluating what their life’s output was worth. You know, David Bowie ’s went for like 250 million. I think (Bob) Dylan ... got like 300 million... (Bruce) Springsteen is said to have gotten more than that, like half a billion or something. It’s sort of like monopoly money.

AP: What do you hope people take away from your live show, and are you working on a new album?

TAYLOR: I feel like I’ve got another one in me — sounds like an egg — but I’m writing a little bit.

And as to what I hope people take away from live performances, I hope they take away a sense of connection. You know, live music — the thing that I’m so attached to about it, why I can’t let it go — is that there’s something (that) happens when people come together for a couple of hours for two or three hours and have a sort of collective experience.

It’s indescribable. You prepare for it, but when it happens, it’s spontaneous and, in a way, unique. I love it when that happens, and it does most nights.

AP: Give us a call if you consider selling your catalog.

TAYLOR: If someone comes sniffing around, I’ll get in touch.

EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ Patch Notes 12.0

Coming to the ea play list: discover new courses, play as jack nicklaus, and take on the augusta national par 3 course..

On April 2nd, EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ will receive an update that includes a new season, several gameplay improvements, and game-wide bug fixes. Read on to learn about what’s coming next.

Welcome to Season 11!

Season 11 launches as the largest content update to date for EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ with the release of four new courses and the ultimate Major champion of all time, Jack Nicklaus joins as the first playable golfer added since the game's launch. Moreover, starting April 4th, EA Play^ members can enjoy the EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ updates available via the Play List. As with all previous updates, the new courses and Jack Nicklaus are included with no additional purchase required. This now makes a total of 39 playable courses and 23 playable pro golfers.

Included as a 2024 Major Course, Valhalla Golf Course is located in Louisville, Kentucky, a modern, parkland-style course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Characterized by its wide fairways, large, undulating greens, and challenging water hazards, it has been the venue for multiple major championships, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. Since it hosts the 2024 PGA Championship, Career mode has been updated to have the PGA Championship rotate every season between Valhalla, Oak Hill, and Southern Hills.

Pinehurst No. 2, the second 2024 Major Course to debut, is located in North Carolina and is a world-renowned golf course known for its crowned, undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. Designed by the legendary Donald Ross, it has hosted more single golf championships, including the U.S. Open Championship and PGA Championship, than any other course in America. It will host the 2024 U.S. Open Championship, so Career mode has been updated to rotate the U.S. Open every season between Pinehurst No. 2, The Los Angeles Country Club, and The Country Club.

The third 2024 Major Course, renowned for its "Postage Stamp" eighth hole, is Royal Troon. Known as a world-class course, with traditional links located on the rugged coast of Scotland. Offering golfers challenging wind conditions, deep bunkers, large putting greens, and undulating fairways, Royal Troon is a frequent stop in the Open Championship rota, including this year. The Open will now rotate in Career mode between Royal Troon, Royal Liverpool, and St Andrews.

Further celebrating the tradition of Masters week, the Augusta National Par 3 Course will also be added to the game. The course is stunningly beautiful and serves as the traditional venue for the Par 3 Contest held annually on the eve of the Masters Tournament.

All four of these incredible courses are now available to play in Quick Play and Private Match and will be featured in Online and Tournament playlist rotations as well. As previous Ryder Cup hosts, Pinehurst No. 2 and Valhalla have also been added to Ryder Cup formats in Quick Play, Online, and Private Match.

Jack Nicklaus, often referred to as “the Golden Bear," is renowned for his powerful drives, precision iron play, and exceptional putting ability, which contributed to his record 18 major championship wins. Nicklaus's six Masters titles add to his legendary status as the greatest Major Champion golfer of all time. When playing as Jack Nicklaus, you’ll notice that he has his own set of golf clubs, four outfits to choose from, and his unique swing animation. Jack Nicklaus is available to play in any format that supports playing with pro golfers.

Season 11 Pro Pass** includes a wide variety of cosmetics in the premium tier including a selection of spring-themed apparel, Jack Nicklaus’ clubs, and one of his outfits. Completing Season 11 Pro Pass will earn you Jack Nicklaus’ '65 Masters Ball Spec in the free tier and the J.LINDEBERG “KV Tour - Azalea” outfit in the premium tier. Throughout the season you’ll earn tokens to level up your Pro Pass by completing live Quests and playing rounds in Online, Tournaments, and Career modes.

Challenges mode has been updated with two new challenge series. The “Drive Chip and Putt” challenges series offers a taste of what it feels like to compete in the famous junior golf competition. The “Jack Nicklaus” challenge series showcases the history of the Golden Bear, featuring some of the best rounds from his Major Championship victories, and a variety of other memorable moments from his legendary career.

Additional Patch Notes

  • Jack Nicklaus’ swing animation has been added to the Store rotation.
  • Added a “Starter Bundle” which includes a set of rare specs and a currency pack.
