Today, rock icons  Pierce The Veil  and  The Used  announced that they will be hitting the road this summer on  The Creative Control Tour . The epic co-headliner kicks off on May 23rd in Austin, TX, making stops across the U.S. and Canada in Tampa, Toronto, Baltimore, New York, Grand Rapids, Irvine, and more before wrapping up in Phoenix, AZ on July 2nd with support from Don Broco, Deathbyromy (5/23 – 6/10), and girlfriends (6/12 – 7/1).

Recently, The Used announced that their newest album Toxic Positivity will be out on May 19 via Big Noise. Toxic Positivity includes the previously-released, no-holds-barred singles “ Fuck You ” and “ People Are Vomit .”

Established in 2000, The Used was brought to life and have since released a collection of albums that pioneered the scene of emo rock. High energy live shows, gut wrenching relatable lyrics, and melodies that blended pop sensibility and hard rock was the perfect combination to make an everlasting impression on fans globally.

The Used released their ninth studio album,  Heartwork (Deluxe),  in 2021 via Big Noise. The extended album features 11 never-before-heard tracks that were all written during the original  Heartwork  (2020) sessions. A variety of collaborators including producer John Feldmann, co-writer Mark Hoppus (Blink-182), guest artists Travis Barker, Jason Aalon Butler (Fever 333), Caleb Shomo (Beartooth) and more helped deliver this now 27-track album that simultaneously showcases what made The Used emerge as one of the most prolific bands of the early 2000s as well as what has kept them at the forefront of the genre ever since. The band locked in #4 spots on both the Top Alternative and Top Hard Rock Album charts, #11 on Top Rock Album charts as well as landing in the  Billboard Top 200  at the #87 spot.

The Used + Pierce the Veil Announce Co-Headlining 2023 Tour With Three Other Special Guests

The Used and Pierce the Veil have just announced "The Creative Control Tour," a co-headlining North American run which will also feature special guests Don Broco , DeathbyRomy and/or Girlfriends at select stops.

Both groups will be out in support of 2023 albums with  Toxic Positivity from The Used arriving on May 19, just four days before the tour starts, and  The Jaws of Life , the latest from Pierce the Veil after a seven-year gap between full lengths.

It all starts in Austin, Texas on May 23 with a total of 26 dates on the books, the last being July 2 in Phoenix, Arizona.

The Used and Pierce the Veil have announced a 2023 co-headlining North American tour.

Dubbed “The Creative Control Tour,” the outing kicks off May 23rd in Austin, Texas, and runs through July 2nd in Phoenix, Arizona. Don Broco, Deathbyromy, and girlfriends will provide support on select dates.

An artist pre-sale starts today (March 7th) at 1 p.m. ET using the code JAWS  via Ticketmaster , while a Live Nation pre-sale begins Wednesday (March 8th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code OPENER . General ticket sales begin Friday (March 10th) at 10 a.m. local time.

The Used and Pierce the Veil have announced a 2023 co-headlining North American tour.

Dubbed “The Creative Control Tour,” the outing kicks off May 23rd in Austin, Texas, and runs through July 2nd in Phoenix, Arizona. Don Broco, Deathbyromy, and girlfriends will provide support on select dates.

An artist pre-sale starts today (March 7th) at 1 p.m. ET using the code JAWS  via Ticketmaster , while a Live Nation pre-sale begins Wednesday (March 8th) at 10 a.m. local time using the code OPENER . General ticket sales begin Friday (March 10th) at 10 a.m. local time.

This summer, emo rock powerhouses The Used and Pierced The Veil are embarking on a highly-anticipated co-headlining tour! The outing, titled The Creative Control Tour, is set to light up 26 major cities, including Irvine, California! On Saturday, 1st July 2023, the tour will make a pit stop at the FivePoint Amphitheatre. The performers will deliver their electrifying sets packed with hits and fan favorites! The Used also promotes their upcoming studio album, Toxic Positivity, while Pierce the Veil commemorates their newly-released fifth effort, The Jaws of Life! Commercially-successful rock band The Used released their self-titled debut album in 2002. The Utah-born quartet, led by frontman Bert McCracken, dropped several chart-performing singles, such as “The Taste of Ink,” “Buried Myself Alive,” and “Blue and Yellow.” At the time, the band’s signature sound was a combination of emo, post-hardcore, and alternative rock. They were considered the quintessential emo band during the height of the emo/pop-punk era. Over the years, the band evolved with their subsequent albums, such as In Love and Death (2004), Lies of the Liars (2007), Artwork (2009), and Vulnerable (2012). All these studio efforts entered Billboard 200’s top ten upon their release. In 2023, the band will release their ninth album, Toxic Positivity, in May.

Meanwhile, San Diego-based trio Pierce The Veil also rose to prominence during the height of the emo and pop-punk era. They dropped several notable works, such as their breakthrough album, Selfish Machines (2010), their first number 1 Top Alternative Album, Collide with the Sky (2012), and the phenomenally successful, Misadventures (2016). Earlier this year, the band released their fifth album, The Jaws of Life. The album spawned several singles, “Pass the Nirvana,” “Emergency Contact,” and “Even When I’m Not with You.”

The performers expressed their excitement in sharing the bill on this much-awaited outing. McCracken stated, “We are excited about our first tour with Pierce the Veil. The Used and Peirce the Veil Keep Striving Towards Success!

This summer, emo rock legends The Used and Pierce The Veil will hit the road together as co-headliners. On June 7th, 2023, the Creative Control Tour will stop by the Toyota Oakdale Theatre. The two bands join up for the promotion of new albums from both bands: Toxic Positivity, the next album from The Used, will be released on May 19th. The Jaws of Life, by Pierce the Veil, was released in February. Here's your chance to get tickets to an outstanding event with brand-new music, so don’t waste it!

The Used, who turned 20 years old in 2022, will be touring in support of their upcoming ninth studio album, Toxic Positivity, which is set for release on May 19. Heartwork, the band's previous album, peaked at #4 on the Top Alternative Album and #7 on the Top Hard Rock Album charts, and #11 on the Top Rock Album charts.

Pierce The Veil, dropped The Jaws Of Life, their fifth studio album, in February 2022. The album peaked at #2 on the Top Alternative Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts in the United States, and it also cracked the top 15 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Here’s the setlist from Pierce The Veil’s UK arena tour

This month Pierce The Veil headlined their first-ever arena in the UK – and here’s what they brought to 10,000 fans in Nottingham.

It’s been well over a year since Pierce The Veil announced that they’d be bringing The Jaws Of Life to arenas in the UK, but at long last they’re finally here!

And the trio kicked off their first-ever arena run on these shores with a massive date at Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, performing plenty of material from their latest record plus all the classics and fan-favourites, and a cover of Radiohead’s Karma Police, for 10,000 fans.

The Jaws Of Life run began in Nottingham before heading to Manchester, though sadly last night’s planned date in Dublin (April 7) was cancelled due to “to inclement weather and travel safety concerns”, presumably because of Storm Kathleen.

Nevertheless, the tour carries on tomorrow evening in Glasgow for two dates, before Pierce The Veil head to Cardiff International Arena on April 12, and finally wrap things up at London’s massive Alexandra Palace on April 13. It’s gonna be huge.

• Current Developments in Cross-Border Litigation | Enforcement Against Foreign Controlled Party Through Reverse Pierce of the Corporate Veil

Reverse piercing attaches liability for the judgment to a corporations’ owners and/or directors because they exercise complete dominion of the business, and such domination was used to commit a fraud against the plaintiff. In Citibank N.A. v. Aralpa Holdings P’ship , 2024 WL 3938094 (S.D. N.Y. Feb. 2, 2024), Citibank provided a line of credit to defendant secured by a personal guaranty. It held a judgment against the guarantor personally. It moved post-judgment to hold the owner of a New York high rise condominium, a New York limited liability company, and the owner, a Miami holding company, of a luxury home in Miami personally liable because each entity was a “mere instrumentality” of the guarantor. Both entities were owned by a Mexican entity wherein the guarantor was president, and his daughter was either secretary or an “authorized agent”. Both entities were inadequately capitalized and conducted no business. Any funds were deposited into the guarantor’s personal accounts. Both entities used the guarantor’s personal addresses. The guarantor personally provided money for the mortgage payments and both entities had property that the guarantor used as if were his own. The court determined that the guarantor made repeated presentations to Citibank that the properties were his own, only to disclaim any control once a creditor questioned him. The court found the guarantor was an “equitable owner”—an individual who exercises sufficient control over a corporation can be deemed to own it in equity.

When pursuing recovery of a judgment, a plaintiff must not be myopic in its recovery focus and be aware of available recovery theories that can open avenues of enforcement.
