The Winks Travel Neck Wallet certainly won’t win any style points, but it’s a useful solution for storing your important travel documents and it comes at a good price.

  • Portability
  • Competition
  • Final Verdict

We purchased the Winks Travel Neck Wallet so our writer could put it to the test. Keep reading for our full product review.

Keeping your travel documents closely guarded during an international trip is of the utmost importance, which is why tools like passport holders and passport protectors are so popular. There are a few different types of accessories you can choose from in this category, including wallet-style passport protectors and wearable holders that have space for keys and cards. The Winks Travel Neck Wallet passport holder with RFID-blocking technology is the latter—it’s a slim bag that travelers can wear around their necks to safely hold their passports, tickets, and other essential travel documents. We tested it out on a recent trip to see how it performed in terms of functionality and convenience. Read on for all the details and to find out whether or not we think this is the right passport holder for your next adventure.

Design: Not going to win a style award

The Winks Travel Neck Wallet is thoughtfully designed with many features travelers will appreciate. Rather than being shaped like a billfold or protective passport case, it’s instead styled as a hanging bag that can be worn around the neck, either over or under your clothes. It comes in three color options: black, grey, or pink.

It’s 9 inches long and 5.5 inches wide with seven pockets. There are several slots a passport could fit in, though the most secure pocket is likely the large zippered one on the front. In our testing, we were able to hold three passports very easily, which makes the Winks Travel Neck Wallet a good option for couples or parents with young children .

It’s made from 210D ripstop nylon so you know it’s durable. The back of the holder is padded with very light moisture-wicking foam to make it comfortable against skin or clothing, and the thin neck strap is adjustable. It’s important to note that it’s quite a thin strap. It may not be ideal if you have concerns about someone cutting or ripping it off your body. We also found that when the holder was packed full and worn under clothing, the thin strap dug into our shoulder skin a little. It wasn’t painful, but it may be annoying if you’re trying to do significant sightseeing or walk long distances.

It worked exceptionally well, with plenty of pockets and secure space.

The real downfall of the design, in our opinion, is that it screams “tourist.” Wearing it on the outside of your clothing is a surefire way to mark yourself as a tourist in any foreign country, which can be appealing to pickpockets . A common safety rule of international travel is “try to blend in,” and you will absolutely not blend in if you’re wearing this over your clothing as you explore. Many travel experts also recommend that you should carry a copy of your passport with you and leave your actual passport in the safety of a hotel safe.

You could, of course, wear the passport holder under your clothing, which is commonly done. That allows you to keep your documents close without advertising that you’re carrying valuables. This is a popular tactic for travelers in areas where pickpocketing is common or where hotel safes and storage can’t be trusted. A third option is not to wear it at all but instead carry it as an accessory to keep all your travel documents in one place, which is what we did. It worked exceptionally well, with plenty of pockets and secure space. It’s also water-resistant, which is sure to be helpful if you get caught with your passport in a downpour or have to change planes in rainy weather.

Portability: Can carry most of your small items

The Winks Travel Neck Wallet excels in portability. Aside from being wearable and thin enough to lie flat under loose clothing, it's loaded with useful pockets. It held much more than we thought it would, including three passports, a cell phone, earbuds, several credit cards , a wad of cash, lip balm, and a hotel room key. If you're not carrying too much beyond that, it could be your only bag while out sightseeing for the day.

Aside from being wearable and thin enough to lie flat under loose clothing, it’s loaded with useful pockets.

Once loaded up, it can feel a bit bulky under clothes so how you carry it really comes down to personal preference. In our testing, a friend described it as “a sort of dorky-looking purse," which seems fitting. It's certainly not stylish or trendy, but it's very useful. Even packed full, it has a much slimmer profile than a purse. Because it's fairly slim, it's easy to slide into a backpack or bag if you're carrying one while sightseeing.

Security: Solid protection

A selling point of the Winks Travel Neck Wallet is the fact that it's woven with RFID-blocking fibers. That means the passport holder interrupts frequencies from electronic card readers, so thieves trying to steal your information electronically will be unable to read the contents of any cards in your bag. Your info will be safe if you use the designated credit card pockets, even if someone around you is phishing for data.

Price: A no-brainer on price

The Winks Travel Neck Wallet retails for around $17, making it cheaper than most budget wallets. If you think there’s even a small chance it may come in handy during your trip, it’s worth buying. It would also be an affordable gift to give a frequent traveler in your life.

If you think there’s even a small chance it may come in handy during your trip, it’s worth buying.

Competition: Design will guide your decision

Anthropologie Whitney Winkler Posie Passport Holder: The Anthropologie passport holder and the Winks Travel Passport holder are two very different items. Anthropologie’s holder is more like a protective book for your passport rather than a wearable accessory. It also has a trendier, more elegant design, with patterns created by current artists. However, the Winks Travel Neck Wallet has many more pockets and holds more items than the Posie Passport Holder, making it a better choice for buyers who want to carry multiple passports or use it in lieu of a purse or bag.

The Venture 4th Travel Neck Pouch Wallet : The Venture 4th Travel Neck Pouch Wallet is extremely similar in design to the Winks Travel Neck Wallet, even down to the name. Both have a similar design and features and have space to carry your passport as well as travel documents and cards. They’re nearly the same in price, too, so the decision on which to buy may just come down to aesthetics (though they’re almost the same on that front, too.)

A great option for those who prioritize security above style.

If you’re at all worried about keeping your passport safe during travel, you’ll appreciate the secure pockets and close fit of the Winks Travel Neck Wallet passport holder. It lacks a trendy design, but it’s a useful buy for travelers who want to keep important documents together in one easy-to-carry place.

I’m in love with the flat and simply-organized design of this neck pouch. It’s another one available in five colors. Unlike the previous entry of neutrals and grays, you can pick this pouch up in a purpose, pink, or red. The black is sleekly professional and guaranteed to match any outfit.

This pouch is meant to store your passport, identification, credit cards, and valuable items. The wallet has been lined with frequency shielding material. This blocks technology from non-consensually scanning your items, so you know that your personal information is always safe from electronic thieves.

Featured in the wallet are three storage compartments that organize your valuables and documentation. Two of these are zippered pockets, along with one Velcro-closure patch and an ID window for easy boarding identification.

Hide your valuables and personal information using this well-organized neck wallet. It comes in both beige and black, ensuring it’ll match any travel outfit. The design is meant to be comfortable. I love the strap, which is softer than traditional lanyards, perfect when you need to wear the wallet for a while. There’s also moisture-wick backing, keeping you from sweating when the wallet rests against your skin.

The organizer is meant to fit multiple US passports, so if you have travel companions, you can keep all of their personal information safe. • Soft, comfortable strap can be worn for hours
  • Moisture-wicking backing keeps your skin dry when the wallet sits against it
  • Enough compartments to accommodate an entire family’s passports

Another convenient wallet with RFID lining technology to keep your personal information safe! I’m especially a fan of this one because of the funky and fun prints that each wallet comes with. It’s great for traveling with the family or friends. Each of the prints focuses on one particular country, so it’s ideal if you’re going on any international adventures. The original designer artwork complements any outfit, whether you’re wearing muted tones or bold patterns.

One feature I’m a big fan of is the clear pocket for your smartphone. You don’t need to remove your phone from the pocket to use it. Instead, you can easily text and check your emails while ensuring you don’t forget or misplace your phone. Five extra-roomy pockets let you fit envelopes, larger currencies, and heavier valuables.

The Zero Grid wallet functions as an RFID blocking piece of security. It’s available in colors ranging from brown to gray to black and green. How to Wear Travel Neck Wallets

Wear it around the neck.

The traditional way to wear this type of travel wallet is around the neck. A neck wallet allows you to keep your ID, passport, credit cards, and cash all in the same place. Since it’s worn around your neck, it’s much more difficult to pickpocket than your regular wallet.

Wallets like the Lewis N. Clark come with adjustable straps. You can increase the length to conceal it underneath your clothes, or decrease the length to access the contents more easily. Some women conceal the strap of their travel wallet underneath a scarf, so potential thieves don’t even realize it’s there.

Attach Your Neck Wallet to Your Bra

You can also attach the wallet to your bra for added security. This is a great choice if you’re concerned that your neck strap might break, or if you want to conceal the wallet completely below your clothes. To attach a wallet to your bra, you’ll want a strap that can clip onto your clothing.

Just fasten the strap of the wallet to the strap of your bra. You can tuck the wallet itself between your bra cups, so it’s easy to access but very difficult to steal. It’s also possible to attach a wallet to your belt loops if the bra method isn’t comfortable.

Wrap It Around Your Ankle

This method probably won’t work well if you’re wearing flip flops. But for girlies traveling to colder climates, it’s a great way to conceal your things. Chances are, you’re wearing tall boots or at least high-top sneakers. Tuck the wallet between your ankle and the shoe where it can’t be seen.

One thing to keep in mind with this method is the weather. If it’s going to be wet, you’ll need waterproof boots. Otherwise, the precipitation might mess up your cash, ID, or passport.

Travel Neck Wallets FAQ

What is the best neck passport holder.

The best neck passport holder should be comfortable, easy to organize, and secure. The right one for you just depends on your personal style.

Does a passport need RFID protection?

In the US, there are no longer passports issued without an electronic chip. To prevent digital theft, RFID blocking tech is best as you travel.

Are all passports the same size?

Though different countries have different designs, passport rules are standardized through the International Civil Aviation Organization. They are all 88 by 125 millimeters.

Table of Contents

The best travel wallet is the one that’s not too small nor too large and able to take in most of your essential things. There are two types of sizes that you need to consider:

  • A personal travel wallet usually has a compact size and able to load a single passport. Solo travelers are more convenient to use this type of wallet.
  • Family travel wallet usually larger and has more space and compartments to accommodate the family’s important documents. This type of wallet is more preferable for those of you who want to travel in a group.

Compartments

Wallet’s compartments have a tight connection to the available space on a wallet. The more compartments available, the more space it has. But more compartments mean it has to sacrifice its compactness. And you have to consider the amount of the documents you want to bring to adjust to how much compartments you need.

There are several types of material that’s common to use to make a travel wallet. Nylon and leather are the most popular material to use.

Leather / Synthetic Leather

Leather or synthetic leather travel wallet provides you a classic, vintage, and classy look. Unfortunately, most leather travel wallet doesn’t have an anti-scratch feature.

Nylon is the most common fabric to use to make a wallet. It’s lightweight, easy to clean, and flexible. Many manufacturers equipped their nylon travel wallet with a waterproof coating to keep your essential items from getting wet, whether you’re traveling near the water or when you’re facing rainy situations.

There are several designs of travel wallets that you can choose based on your preference, such as neck pouch, hand pouch, or waist belt travel wallet. Make sure that your travel wallet is comfortable enough to carry throughout the day and night.

Additional Features

Additional features that you need to consider is the RFID protection. You need to store most of your essential items on your wallet, including credit/debit cards, driver’s license, passport, or anything that holds your personal information. Zoppen Multi-purpose  Rfid Blocking Travel Passport Wallet

Are passport wallets a good idea?

Yes! Keeping your documents, cash, and cards safe when you travel is important. You will be in new places and perhaps more distracted than when you are at home.

A travel wallet or passport holder is a good idea to keep your documents safe, particularly on days when you are traveling — flying, taking a train, bus, or other public transportation.

When choosing your new wallet for your next vacation, one feature that all ours readers agree is essential is for it to have RFID blocking technology to protect your identity from electronic pickpockets and identity theft.

Whether you choose to use a travel wallet, remember to always split up your money and use an anti-theft product like a bra stash to hide the majority of your cash. Only carry the money you will need for that day in your wallet.

Don’t carry your passport with you once you reach your destination. Keep your travel documents locked at your hotel or accommodation, and carry a copy with you.

Follow these tips if you are pickpocketed when traveling abroad!

What do you put in a travel wallet?

Use your travel wallet to store your money, credit cards, and travel documents. Several styles even provide you with the option of storing your passport or mobile phone, too.

When picking your new wallet, you might want to consider choosing one with more space and slots than your everyday purse. This is a fantastic way to keep all your belongings and travel documents organized.

What To Look For

Size and capacity.

How big does the travel neck wallet need to be, or in other words, what are you trying to fit inside it?

You can choose between travel neck wallets designed to carry one person’s belongings or larger travel neck wallets that can fit up to four passports. The latter is a good option if you’re the dedicated travel organizer in your group and you usually carry other people’s documents – so a dad.

It’s worth noting that the larger travel neck wallets are usually a bit bulkier particularly when they have both zippers and Velcro flaps. This means that they won’t stay quite as invisible underneath your shirt.

The smaller neck wallets will mostly stay invisible, especially those that are shaped like pouches and designed to stick to your skin. Most of the smaller wallets are capable of holding a passport, boarding pass, cards, and cash of one traveler.

Anti Theft Features

Are there any anti-theft features that you are certain you need on the wallet? If so, look for wallets that have that specific feature and ignore most of the others.

The most common anti-theft feature in neck wallets is RFID protection. This means that your travel neck pouch or just one small zippered pocket on it is RFID-safe. The stuff inside will be safe from scammers and thieves, who might try to scan your cards and ID from afar.

RFID protects against money and identity theft, but it’s not such a common occurrence that the lack of RFID blocking needs to be a deal-breaker.

You should also look for features that keep you safe from old-school thieves, like multiple zippers and flaps, lockable zippers, and even slash-proof fabrics. Some of the best brands in the anti-theft gear business make bags and wallets that are impossible to cut through, and they’re great if you want ultimate peace of mind when you travel.

Pockets And Organization

Would you rather have a wallet that’s just one big pouch or something with multiple pockets?

Pouch wallets are usually slimmer and more easily hidden, but they’re not great for organization. You’d have to rummage through the pouch whenever you need anything, whereas with pockets everything is visible at a glance.

The downside of the wallets with pockets, especially when they have zippers and flaps, is that they’re not as invisible underneath t-shirts. Be aware of what style you prefer to make finding the right wallet for you easier.

Also, wallets that have several pockets usually have just one wallet that’s RFID safe, whereas a pouch wallet made from RFID-safe fabric will protect everything inside it. Although neck wallets with more pockets are generally better for staying organized and accessing your belongings easier, pouch wallets are usually the safest option.

A travel wallet mitigates the stress of handling money and identification while crossing international borders. This functional, yet practical travel accessory allows for organization, and in many cases, security. Thus, the travel wallet is less of an accessory and more of a necessity. With this in mind, don't get caught fumbling all of your belongings throughout your journey! We've broken down three common types of travel wallets and given recommendations for the best of each.

Here are our top travel wallets of 2017:

The chart below displays the best travel wallets of the year, along with their ratings. Click “ See Today's Price ” to see the current price for each travel wallet.

QUICK NAVIGATION

Common features of travel wallets.

Travel wallets come in all shapes, sizes, styles, and qualities. Some of the most common features of your average travel wallet are:

  • check-circle-o Organizational compartments with space for credit cards, passports, and cash
  • check-circle-o RFID blocking materials
  • check-circle-o Zippered
  • check-circle-o Waterproof or water resistant
  • check-circle-o Shoulder or wrist strap

While some of these features are considered standard, you will want to read the fine print and specifications of each product. Depending on where you plan to travel and particularly, the atmosphere of the locale, minor adjustments will get you the product best suited for your trip. Regardless, any combination of these features assists in making the trip from Point A to Point B a breeze.

How to Choose the Perfect Travel Wallet

Who would have thought that travel wallets came in so many styles, materials, colors, and more?! We've compiled the relevant information about our favorite travel wallet types, questions you should ask yourself, and specific features to consider before taking the plunge.

Different Travel Wallet Types

A quick search of the Internet returns millions of travel wallet results. As you will quickly learn, not only do the features of travel wallets vary, the types and styles do as well. From leg pouches and shoulder holsters, to bra stashes and wrist wallets, a convenient option is available for all travelers. Three of the most efficient, practical, and accessible options are as follows:

Money Belt / Belt Wallet

A money belt, or belt wallet, is a great option for keeping essentials next to your body and on your person at all times. With various sizes and multiple pockets, it is almost surprising how much you can carry in a money belt. Check out the pros and cons to see if a money belt is right for you.

  • plus Attached to your person. Therefore, you would have to take the wallet off to lose it.
  • plus Fits under clothes
  • plus Difficult for pickpockets, as pouch is in front, stomach area
  • plus Affordable
  • plus Many pockets
  • plus Fits large documents
  • plus Easy to access
  • close Quality varies on clip types. That is to say, if the clip comes undone, you can be in a world of panic.
  • Depending on your body, this option can be too long.
  • Bathroom trips can be difficult to maneuver
  • May be uncomfortable in warm climates

Neck Wallet

A neck wallet has all of the advantages of a purse, with less hassle. This option usually comes with a neck strap that can be thrown over the shoulder and worn underneath clothes. Neck wallets are a perfect choice for keeping identification and currency on your body, yet concealed. Read on for pros and cons of neck wallets.

  • plus Can be worn underneath clothes and in between layers of clothes
  • plus Multiple compartments
  • plus Actual storage area can be attached and removed from neck strap if needed. (Just be careful, this could be a con if you aren't paying attention).
  • plus Difficult for pick-pockets
  • close Can be uncomfortable if worn directly against the skin
  • To access the wallet, you will need to lift your shirt. Consequently this can draw unwanted attention and expose your hiding spot.
  • If you aren't wearing a collared shirt or turtle neck, the neck strap is visible.

Travel Document Wallet

Travel document wallets are the best all-in-one option. This type of travel wallet is conveniently designed to carry everything from your passport and identification, to your money, to your tickets and boarding passes. With a range of sizes and compartments, travel document wallets are perfect for traveling in groups or as a family.

  • plus Can hold larger documents
  • plus Great for navigating the airport
  • plus The best option for those who like to be hands-on at all times with their belongings
  • close Although handy, the travel document wallet is not suitable for an everyday wallet. Accordingly, it's size makes this option difficult to near impossible to comfortably fit in a pocket, depending upon your selection.
  • Can become separated from its owner, or even ripped away by pick-pockets

Questions to Ask Yourself Before Beginning Your Search

Your personal considerations assist in eliminating unsuitable travel wallets. Ask yourself these things before scouring Amazon!

1. What do I need from my next travel wallet?

You may think that all travel wallets serve the same purpose, but this could not be further from the truth. In actuality, travel wallets are designed differently depending on their use.

For instance, are you a family of four traveling with young kids? If so, you may want to search for travel document wallets with cavernous capacity. Or, are you traveling within the United States and thereby have no need for multiple boarding passes? Perhaps a travel wallet similar to a typical men's wallet is best suited for you. Maybe you are going to an area where you do not feel comfortable leaving your identification and other documents in your hostel or hotel. If this is the case, you will definitely want to choose a travel wallet with enough space to house everything.

Regardless of your needs, there is an option that fits everyone. Moreover, once you know your wants and requirements, you will have an easier time identifying viable options.

2. Where am I planning to go?

What is the climate like where I am going?

  • Does the forecast show extremely hot temperatures during your visit? If so, a travel wallet that lays against the skin may not be the best option.
  • Is it going to be extremely cold during your visit? If so, a travel wallet that lays against the skin may offer extra warmth and protection from the elements.
  • What season is it? The rainy season may dictate a waterproof travel wallet.

What is the reputation of my destination ?

  • Is your destination notorious for pick-pocketers? If so, an on the body travel wallet is likely your best bet.
  • Do you feel comfortable leaving your belongings in your hotel/hostel safe? If not, you will need a travel wallet big enough to accommodate your belongings in their entirety.

Have you heard of electronic pickpocketing? A lot of travelers haven't. In a nutshell, it refers to the process of one person stealing another person's credit card or debit card information in a public place using RFID technology. It's a form of identity theft. A thief can carry around a scanner such as a Near Field Communication (NFC)-enabled mobile phone, stand close to people in a public venue, and tag their credit card info in seconds without the card even leaving the victim's pocket.

Some travel wallet manufacturers offer a variety of RFID blocking products, like RFID wallets, RFID passport protectors, card sleeves, and more. We highly recommend at least buying an RFID card sleeve for your debit cards and credit cards even if you don't purchase an RFID wallet. Another tip is to look for ones with a money-back guarantee.

3. What Activities Will You Be Doing?

Many travelers love to lounge on the beach or poolside. Your travel wallet won't be seeing much action there. But if you have plans for climbing volcanoes, cycling downhill tracks, or any other adventure activities, it can be harder to make sure your money and other valuables stay with you.  If you're traveling abroad, you'll want a wallet with a good passport holder and multiple credit card slots. A leather wallet tends to last the longest.

Things to Consider Before Choosing Your Travel Wallet

Once you know the stipulations for your new travel wallet, it is time to evaluate your options. The market is flooded with seemingly appealing options, but you will want to consider these five facets before purchasing any travel wallet:

It is always better to overestimate your space needs, rather than underestimate them. Even if you don't need to carry multiple boarding passes or immigration papers, perhaps this is room you could use to carry band-aids or chapstick. Again, this aspect circles back around to what you need out of a travel wallet. With this in mind, options range from just fitting the essentials to including room for all possible documents, and some.

Craftsmanship

Despite the affordability of travel wallets, not all are made the same. In all honesty, a good rule of thumb is that if it looks like it won't withstand an international trip, don't buy it. Most notably, a travel wallet should be made from fabrics and products meant to withstand general wear and tear, some water, and usage. In any case, it is essential to read reviews for any potential travel wallet.

Security is a feature that comes into play more and more as technology continues to boom. In recent years, U.S. passports, credit cards, and similarly sensitive documents have come to include RFID technology.

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification, and it generally comes in the form of a small chip ingrained within a credit card or even a passport. These chips act as a security measure, however can be interrupted when a chip is near a scanner/reader. Then, identity thieves steal confidential information by intercepting the radio waves. Thus, the added security and convenience of RFID are met with an equal and opposite threat of susceptibility from hackers and identity thieves. For this reason, manufacturers offer travel wallets with fabrics and materials designed to block the signals and any nearby scanners/readers. Although there is some debate on how great a threat there is to RFID information, it's best to play it safe.

Size does matter when it comes to a passport wallet. In fact, this will likely be one of the more important considerations when purchasing your next travel wallet. While it should have enough capacity to compensate for your needs, you probably don't want a walltet that is too big. To enumerate, if you purchase a travel wallet that is too large for your needs, you run the risks of not being able to conceal the wallet, pick-pocketing, and becoming separated from your wallet. Similarly, this is another area where reading the reviews is extremely helpful, as reviewers will generally tell you if the wallet fits in a pocket or must be carried by hand.

Price and Budget

Obviously, nobody wants to break the bank when buying a travel wallet. Thus, it goes without saying that luxury options are certainly available. However, the many raving reviews and quality craftsmanship of most brands act as a testament to the adage – flashier isn't always better. There are a myriad of options available that are not only affordable, but efficient and practical. Even though you do not want to sacrifice quality for price, you also do not want to fall prey to keeping up with the Jones'.

In most situations, you get what you pay for. If you purchase a poorly-made travel passport wallet, just because it costs less, you'll find it doesn't do the job. You end up losing more than you bargained for. Generally speaking, you want to find some high-quality products in the mid cost range. You don't need to break the bank but you don't want to skimp too much either.

Family Needs

Do you need a travel wallet or passport for multiple passports or more than one set of travel docs? If so, then you need to get a travel wallet with extra room.

Material

This goes hand in hand with durability. While some people like cloth, we highly recommend leather material for durability or at the very least, a strong water resistant material. There's also anti-slash material, but you will have to pay more upfront for it.

Organization

You're going to want a wallet that can keep up with you. When you're traveling, you're probably bringing a few different types of cards. You will need slots for your debit card, credit card, ID, and bus or train pass. It's also useful to have another one for electronic hotel room key card. You're probably going to keep your travel documents, boarding pass, and passport here too. More compartments equal more opportunities for organization. Zip closure and a zippered pocket are great for keeping receipts and ticket stubs. Last but not least iPhone travel compatible wallets are great too. Some come with a keychain like clip so you can't lose your phone.

Get Ready to Find Your New Travel Wallet With This Top List

If you've read to this point, you may be feeling overwhelmed by all of the thought behind purchasing a travel wallet. Do not dismay! We've done the research for you. Although they are of different styles, the travel wallets below are all affordable, secure, and functional. You won't want to miss out on these great products:

Zero Grid Money Belt

travel wallet - Zero Grid Money Belt

  • plus Spacious interior is perfect for carrying multiple passports, travel documents, currencies, and credit cards.
  • plus The design allows the product to remain in close proximity to the person wearing it, thereby making pick-pocketing difficult.
  • plus RFID-blocking technology is incorporated into the fabric, offering security without bulking up the belt.
  • plus The 210D rip-stop nylon is water resistant, durable, and breathable.
  • close Reviewers note a crinkling noise in the material. This could potentially draw attention to your money stash.

The Zero Grid Hidden Money Belt is one of the premier options for travel wallets of this style. The unisex travel wallet is available in colors: Ash, Desert Sand, Midnight, and Shadow Grey, ensuring a preferred color choice for travelers of all types.

The 210D Rip-stop nylon is water resistant, featuring a moisture wicking layer where the wallet meets skin. Nonetheless, Zero Grid's product is breathable and sleek. That being said, comfort is not an issue, as the adjustable, elastic waist strap fits waistlines up to 46″. Winks Travel Neck Wallet

travel wallet - Winks Travel Neck Wallet

  • plus The interior is cavernous. See how much you can fit inside the neck wallet and let us know in the comments!
  • plus The long, flat design makes the product lay against the skin/clothing and is discreet. Carrying the bag on your person lessens the likelihood of pick-pocketing.
  • plus RFID-blocking technology is incorporated into two separate layers of the wallet.
  • plus The 210D ripstop nylon is water resistant, durable, and breathable.
  • plus The many pockets keep all of your documents and belongings organized.
  • close Reviewers report some discomfort with the strap. When fully loaded, the neck wallet can become heavy, causing the strap to pull on travelers.
  • Some reviewers were displeased with the size of the bag, stating that it was too large.
  • The product does not have much give/flexibility and is rather stiff.

If you like minimalist travel products, this is the wallet for you. Winks Travel creates an awesome product within the neck passport wallets category. The unisex design comes in Mercury grey, night sky black, and tropical sunset pink. With such great colors, you'll be disappointed that the wallet is worn underneath clothing.

Winks' Travel neck wallet is made with 210D rip-stop nylon. The durable and water resistant material is sure to stand the test of time and travel. Water resistant and breathable, the back panel of the neck wallet is complete with wicking mesh backing.

Likewise, this product features two layers of RFID blocking material, doubling up on the standard single layer that competitors often tout. As the RFID blocking technology is incorporated into the bag, travelers won't notice that Winks is actively ensuring your security.

Equally important, the large capacity allows all of your necessities to fit comfortably.  On the other hand, the streamlined design lays discreetly under clothing, even when loaded to the brim. With seven pockets, Winks claims that these neck wallets can fit money, coins, credit cards, up to 4 passports, a driver's license, a smart phone, room key, boarding pass, itinerary, travel brochure, band aids, medications, sanitizer, chap-stick, tissue, safety pins, gum/mints, car keys, headphones, pens, and more. Although the product features a “Tough” shoulder strap, the rest of the wallet is soft on the skin. Easy glide zippers ensure easy entry to the wallet.

Reviewers loved that the neck wallet was easy to conceal under clothing, minimizing the risk of thieves. Even still, the bag is a bit stiff.

Zoppen's Travel Document Wallet

travel wallet - Zoppen's Travel Document Wallet

  • plus Spacious interior allows for organization of multiple documents and identification for multiple people.
  • plus The travel wallet opens like a book, making access easy.
  • plus RFID-technology is built into the product.
  • plus The high-density fabric is durable and waterproof.
  • plus The wrist-strap allows travelers to keep a tight grip on the travel wallet.
  • plus Great for traveling as a family or group, as well as navigating the airport .
  • close Reviews note that this travel wallet is a bit large. Therefore, it is not suitable for everyday use. Don't count on being able to tuck this travel wallet in your back pocket.
  • Becoming separated from this wallet is a risk, of course, because it is not firmly attached to your person.

Zoppen's travel document wallet is a top choice for those who need an all-in-one travel wallet. Available in black, army green, pink yarrow, and royal blue, the unisex design is suitable for anyone and everyone.

Zoppen's product features a waterproof, high-density nylon fabric. In a like manner, the stone-wash trim gives travelers the most secure grip on the clutch. With RFID blocking technology woven into the travel wallet's materials,

Zoppen has created a spacious product. In fact, this travel document wallet can hold up to two passports, boarding passes, credit cards, a checkbook, an identification card, a driver's license, tickets, shipping documents, a key, cash, coins, a phone, a SIM card, and a pen.

The travel document wallet works those traveling as a group or a family. The designated carrier can easily sift through organized tickets, documents, passports in more. From here on out, this travel wallet will alleviate all tension associated with traveling.

Reviewers were impressed with the capacity of the travel document wallet, but felt dismayed at the large size.

Ted Baker Travel Document & Passport Holder

travel wallet - Ted Baker Travel Document & Password Holder

  • plus Stylish Fabric Design
  • plus Plenty of pockets make it a great travel organizer
  • plus Small and sleek
  • close Material is slightly rough
  • Quality is only average for price

This is a great passport travel wallet. Keep all your travel essentials in one place with this stylish travel document holder from Ted Baker. The statement Chelsea border patterned cover features the words ‘fly me to the Moon' in rose gold lettering, and the pink, faux-leather interior includes space for your passport, documents, travel tickets and a plastic ID window. Your documents are kept safe and secure with the bow shaped popper closure, and completing the travel accessory is a rose gold pen fitted neatly inside with the words ‘take flight' on the barrel.

It's not a leather travel wallet. This wallet is definitely geared more towards style than practicality. While it's a great choice for an accessory, we highly recommend keeping it away from the elements. The material is in no way meant to be durable.

Like we said, the Ted Baker Travel Document & Passport Holder is all about style. With this said, it doesn't offer protection against RFID either. We added it to the list to give you fashionistas a little more variety. We do highly recommend purchasing an RFID sleeve for your credit and debit cards though. Don't carry them loose.

This travel and passport holder is designed to hold the cards and documents of one to two travelers. If you try to fit any more than that, the lock won't shut.

6 Best Travel Wallets & RFID Blocking Passports Holders

You probably don’t give much thought to your wallet, even though you use it every day.  When you’re travelling, your wallet becomes far more important as you’ll need to carry valuable items such as your passport, credit cards and cash securely across the world.

If you’ve ever lost your passport or had the panic of not being able to a credit card, you’ll know how stressful it can be.  You’ll want to choose a wallet that will keep your items safe and accessible. Being organized on your trip will ease the stress of travel.  A dream trip isn’t going to be a dream if you lose or misplace your valuables.

Things to look for in the best travel wallet are size, function, organization and anti-theft features.  In order to choose the best wallet for your trip, think about the key documents and other items you’ll need to carry and how you’ll organize them. In addition to your passport and credit cards, consider if you’ll be carrying multiple currencies and coins.  It’s handy to have separate zippered pockets or the right money compartments to hold different currencies to keep yourself organized.

Depending on your destinations, you might also need to consider security more carefully.   If you’re going to countries known for petty crime like India   or South Africa

Consider a wallet with anti-theft features   or a neck wallet or money belt for added safety.  If you’re going to opt for a neck wallet or money belt, you’ll want to carry some cash separately from your wallet, so you don’t have to access it from under your clothes every time you need small change.

The best way to avoid theft on any trip is to lessen the opportunity for a thief.  Carrying your essential items in a neck pouch or money belt is going to leave you a lot less vulnerable to theft.  And not storing all your eggs in one basket is always advised. Carrying a small amount of cash in a zipped pocket in your clothes or purse and your passport and other valuables in a neck pouch or money belt is going to keep you safer.

If you’re generally concerned about security, read great tips on avoiding pickpockets from expert Bob Arno, co-author of Travel Advisory – How to avoid thefts, cons and street scams while Traveling.

Alpha Keeper Money Belt For Travel

winks travel neck wallet

While a money belt might not be the coolest option, it’s definitely as a safe one.  And many travel experts won’t travel without one. Your money belt is for deep storage – items you won’t need throughout the day.  Carry items you need access to in a zipped pocket in your pants or purse. This model by Alpha Keeper features a front snap making it easy to take on and off.  It adjusts for different waist sizes and also features a mesh back pocket to keep skin cool in hot weather.

Buyers Guide

Security – if security is a real concern on your trip, consider a neck wallet or money belt which tucks under your clothes for added protection.  You may also want to consider a wallet with anti-theft features such as RFID blocking technology .

Size – of course, you’ll need to ensure that your wallet will comfortably hold everything you need to transport and that it comfortably fits into your purse without sticking out or becoming cumbersome to carry.  If you’re opting for a neck wallet or money belt, you’ll want to ensure that it tucks under your clothes comfortably and isn’t too obvious.

Organization – there’s nothing worse than fumbling around looking for a credit card or passport or the right currency and not being able to find it easily.  Look for a wallet with multiple pockets and compartments that safely hold all your valuables. Zippered pockets are key for holding loose change or other items that you want to secure.

Style – while you still want fashion, think about the wear and tear that your wallet will take.  Materials that are waterproof or water-resistant such as nylon protect your precious documents if your wallet gets soaked or spilled on.  Leather wallets generally last longer and have sturdy construction.

The Best Passport Holders for Any Type of Traveler

David Duran

The most essential item when traveling overseas is, hands down, your passport. It’s the item we always triple check before heading to the airport and is often the item we still question if we packed, even after triple-checking. It’s, quite frankly, a very stress-inducing little book that, if lost, can totally ruin your travels . So what’s the best way to keep your passport protected? With some sort of a holder of course. But with so many options available online and in stores, it’s a bit overwhelming deciding which to buy.

Leather RFID Blocking Wallet

Zero grid family passport holder, venture 4th travel neck pouch, simpacx passport holder, lovie style phone-charging passport holder, winks travel neck wallet, auopro hidden money belt and passport holder, clear passport cover.

What follows is a handy list of some of the best passport holders for every type of traveler, from the overly organized traveler who likes to keep everything together in one place to the ambitious traveler who just wants a simple cover to keep their passport looking brand spanking new.

If you are just looking for a passport wallet and nothing more, this basic and durable RFID blocking wallet is a great option. It’s simple, lightweight, and offers plenty of storage for credit cards and cash. It’s crafted from tear-resistant synthetic leather and measures a slim 5.9 inches by 3.94 inches by .39 inches. Plus, the material is RFID-blocking, which helps prevent e-thefts and other threats to your privacy. The wallet is available in several colors, including red, brown, black, blue, purple, and orange.

If you are traveling in a group and have been designated the leader, or at the very least the person in charge of holding onto everything, this zippered wallet with lots of space for boarding passes, train tickets, and multiple passports might be your best choice. The sleek, black wallet unzips to open like a book and has enough space to store six passports, 10 credit cards or numerous travel documents. The holder is made of water-resistant fabric and has RFID-blocking material. This holder measures 8.9 by 5.5 by 1 inches, so it is too large to fit in a pocket but can easily be stored in carry-on luggage. It comes with a lifetime warranty.

For those of us who tend to lose things, a neck wallet/passport holder might be your best bet. You can choose to wear it over your clothes or hide it under your clothing, depending on what you’re most comfortable with. This durable and inexpensive option from Venture 4th comes with a lifetime warranty and measures 8.3 by 5.9 by 0.4 inches, the pouch is medium-sized, yet has two zippered pockets, a clear ID display, and a velcro pouch. The passport holder is made of water-resistant material with RFID blocking and is available in grey, brown, black, or silver.

This option is a simple and sleek neck wallet designed for the budget conscious consumer. This passport holder is made from lightweight and durable nylon and has five separate pouches for all your valuables. This includes three credit card slots and one larger pouch for your passport and phone, as well as two zippered pockets for money, keys or other small items. The material is also RFID blocking to keep your credit card information secure. With dimensions of 7.3 x 5.9 x 0.5 inches, it’s compact enough to easily tuck under a shirt or inside a purse. It’s available in blue, black gray, purple and red.

Another concern of travelers, after keeping their passport safe, is typically finding a place where they can charge their phone batteries. With this stylish passport holder, travelers can keep their passport safe while also charging their phone. The Lovie Style passport holder has a backup phone charger for iPhones and Android smartphones right into the case. The removable power bank comes with a charge cord that tucks conveniently into the fold of the passport. The case is also equipped with RFID blocking materials and can hold credit cards, cash and more. The wallet measures 7.5 inches x 4 x 1 inches and comes in five colors with different travel phrases printed on them for a bit of personalization.

Adventure seekers need to look no further when it comes to the perfect passport holder to join them on their trips. This water-resistant neck wallet is great for day hikes, concerts, and sightseeing, so you don’t need to worry about ruining what’s inside if you happen to be walking behind waterfalls or if you get caught in a rainstorm while on a hike. And for added security, it comes with two layers of RFID blocking material embedded in the case. It’s about 9 inches in length, making it a bit larger than other options out there but with the extra space, you can consider storing your smartphone, headphones, and other travel essentials.

Fanny pack fanatics, this one is for you. This isn’t your typical fanny pack though, instead, this waist wallet is slim enough to hide underneath your clothing, although it can be worn on top of clothing as well. The double-waistband pouch is made with water-repellant ripstop material with RFID-blocking technology to keep your card information secure. The soft and breathable backing won’t rub on your skin and the two stretchy belts hold the pouch against your body so it won’t sag under the weight of its contents. Two zippering pockets with interior mesh pouches hold all your valuables, like a passport, phone, credit cards, and cash. It even has a hole you can thread your headphones through. The waist wallet measures 14.4 by 5.8 inches and comes in basic black.

For the minimalist, this clear plastic passport cover is everything you need to keep your passport protected from unexpected spills, rain, and wear and tear. The interior also has slots for credit cards, boarding passes or other items you need to have near your passport. The one thing this doesn’t have is RFID blocking technology, but it does come in a five-pack so you can share with your friends.

6. Victorinox Passport Holder

Victorinox Passport Holder

The Victorinox Passport Holder is a mid-range product that offers a lot of good features. It has a nylon build and offers great protection against cuts. It's small enough to fit into pockets as well. It can hold your passport, ID, and credit cards.

The Victorinox Passport Holder was not designed to hold a lot of passports. However, it's still one of the best passport holders. Because, it allows its user to carry his passport, credit cards, important IDs, and tickets. It will protect your important documents from scratches and any other kind of harm.

Plus, like most other high-end passport holders, you will get RFID protection with the Victorinox Passport Holder. So, it's a great buy.

  • Made of nylon that offers great protection
  • Can be closed with a strap
  • Can fit into trouser pockets
  • Comes with RFID protection
  • Can’t hold more than one passport
  • Needs to be washed frequently

Best Neck Pouch

7. Venture 4th Neck Pouch

Venture 4th Neck Pouch

The next product is a neck pouch. Some people prefer having a pouch that they can hang by their neck so that they don’t have to reach to their backpacks or pockets every time they need a document or credit cards.

The Venture 4th Neck Pouches come in six colors. They will hang from your neck and offer great protection against pickpockets. Three smart compartments will allow you to carry passports, credit cards, cash, tickets, and even electronics such as mobile phones and earphones.

The interior is lined with materials that shield the pouch from radio frequencies. With this, electronic thieves will not be able to steal your personal information.

  • Smart compartments are very convenient
  • RFID protection and tough nylon provides the ultimate protection against all sorts of theft
  • Lightweight, you will not feel burdened
  • The strap is re-adjustable
  • Not long enough for a cross-body wear so it might get dangly
  • Can be identified easily if you hide it underneath your shirt

Very Secure

8. Neck Wallet by Zero Grid

Neck Wallet by Zero Grid

The next product we will be reviewing is another neck wallet, and it's from Zero Grid. Like the other wallet, Zero Grid did a good job with this one as well. It offers the same bonuses such as Returnme tags and reimbursement of $300.

The wallet can be hidden under your shirt. Unlike the previous one, it will not be as visible. It comes with RFID protection too. The wallet offers an ample amount of space to keep the essentials.

  • Can be hung from the neck
  • Has enough space to carry the essentials
  • Can be hidden under your shirt
  • Comes with amazing bonuses
  • Strap gets loose often
  • Passport pocket is too tight

Premium Quality

9. Winks Travel Waterproof Wallet

Winks Travel Waterproof Wallet

The Winks Travel wallets are waterproof neck pouches that come in three colors. The design of the pouch is decent. It's very affordable too. Although you will be able to carry all of your valuables in this pouch, the quality isn’t impeccable.

The strap of the pouch is long enough to be hung cross-body. It's made of water-resistant nylon. However, the zippers do get sticky sometimes. The pouch offers decent RFID protection as well.

  • Made of 210D Rip-stop Nylon
  • Comfortable and lightweight strap
  • Made of breathable material
  • The pouch is water-resistant
  • Shallow compartments
  • Zippers get sticky sometimes

Most Affordable

10. Zoppen Passport Holder

Zoppen Passport Holder

If you are looking for the cheapest passport holders out there, the Zoppen’s product is the one for you. Though it's the cheapest on the list, it's still one of the best passport holders you can get.

The Zoppen Passport Holder is available in forty colors! No matter which color you are a fan of, you will find it here. It's made of a premium and eco-friendly material.

The passport holder comes with RFID security. However, the product is small and can be stolen easily.

  • Made of eco-friendly material
  • Available in forty colors
  • Not very durable
  • The passport pocket is tight

Final Words

Every traveler needs a passport holder and other travel gears to keep his or her passport, documents, and cash safe and organized in one place. And when it comes to these products, we advise people to get the very best.

I would recommend Michael Kors as the best passport holder . It has a great build. It's durable and at the same time, a treat to the eyes of the user. It also has a 100% 5-star rating on Amazon.com . It surely has a happy customer base

Although the Michael Kors Passport Holder is the best, the other products of this list are great as well. Feel free to pick the one that gets your attention, and rest assured because you will be taking one of the best passport holders.

Khimki is part of the Moscow conurbation, on the banks of the Moscow channel and the Klyazma river, and one of the highest density rate in the region.

Before the city, there were several noble lands, which villages are still exist. During the late 19th century, the site of Khimki station became (and remains) the place of Muscovite dachas. Khimki was granted city status, and the Stariye Khimki development was completed. Since then, development programs have turned the countryside into an important city in the region.

Today, Khimki is not only a residential district, but also an important economic and trade center of the Moscow conurbation.

Districts [ edit ]

  • Stariye Khimki . The main part of the city with Stalinist architecture.
  • Khimki forest area . The quite and remarkable side with classic Russian country houses and dachas.
  • Noviye Khimki . The residential district. Not the destination to explore.

There are no ways of comfortable and fast way to get the city.

By car [ edit ]

Khimki is accessible by car via Leningradsky Hwy from Moscow. The part of this highway from Moscow till end of Khimki city limits is the busiest road in Russia.

By public transport [ edit ]

By suburban train from Leningradskii station to Khimki station or Levoberegnaya platform (a district on the left bank of Moscow channel).

A lot of buses and marshrutkas run from Rechnoy Vokzal metro station, at the north end of the Green Line. You can also reach Khimki by marshrutka, bus or trolleybus from Planernaya metro station.
