Harry Styles Says ‘Goodbye For Now’ as ‘Love on Tour’ Officially Ends: ‘You’ve Changed My Life’

By Larisha Paul

Larisha Paul

The first solo tour from Harry Styles , Live on Tour, consisted of 89 shows performed in under a year. When it ended in July 2018, the singer shared a parting message thanking everyone for coming and bidding a momentary farewell before running off to make new music. Flash forward five years, and we’ve arrived at the conclusion of Love on Tour, the collection of 169 shows in support of that music — and the goodbye this time around is just as bittersweet , if not more, as it punctuates the most transformative era of his career thus far.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by @harrystyles

The first fans highlighted in the video recall skipping class to buy Love on Tour tickets, deciding: “ Harry Styles is more important than anthropology.” Outside of the other venues he performed at, fans assisted each other with applying glittering gems to each other’s hair, kicked off their platform boots while they waited, and broke down some self-made choreography in preparation for a night of dancing.

“It’s such a different atmosphere, and you can feel it when you walk in,” another person states in a voiceover during the montage. “In a room full of strangers, you can feel like you’re really in a family.” And each night backstage, Styles was preparing for them, too. In the video, the singer is shown sliding on his signature ring collection, cycling through the nearly 200 glammed-out outfits he donned over the course of the tour, and breaking into the dance moves his fans have learned by heart.

“We want to help each other and just be kind to each other and love each other,” another fan explains, recalling the strong sense of community and unspoken understanding created in these live music spaces. “Those friendships are gonna stay after the tour and that doesn’t end because the tour is ending. That’s always going to be there.”

In the final moment of the video, a heart-shaped balloon floats away into the sky. It takes the place of the heart-shaped glasses he wore in the final post of the Live on Tour era. In a separate post to his Instagram story, Styles took one final bow.

“It’s been the greatest experience of my entire life,” he wrote. “I feel so incredibly full and happy. It’s all because of you. You have given me memories that will last a lifetime, more than I could have ever dreamed of. Thank you for your time, your energy, and your love. It’s been an honor to play for you. I hope you had as much fun as I did. Look after each other, I’ll see you again when the time is right. Treat People With Kindness. I love you more than you’ll ever know.”

A MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER

I simply can’t imagine a better way of experiencing going up and down the hills of San Francisco than in a VW-hippie bus. The allure of these adorable V-Dubs are only matched by the marvelous sights and stories encapsulated by this ever-changing city. People wanting to ride in a VW bus are kindred spirits who appreciate a small, family-like experience with guides that love storytelling as much as they love living in this city. EMPOWER ATLANTA

The Love Hard Tour made its way to Atlanta, bringing a lineup of outstanding R&B performers. The show included performances by Keyshia Cole, Trey Songz, Jahiem, and K. Michelle. The event was an unforgettable night of music, with each artist delivering their most popular hits to a captivated audience.

The Love Hard Tour featured K. Michelle as the first act. She kept everyone entertained as only K. Michelle could. She had the crowd laughing, talking about her side pieces and her former "British" man, whom everyone knew whom she was referring to. K. Michelle's voice was amazing, almost angelic. I have heard her sing on television and radio stations, but I was wowed listening to her beautiful voice in person. I loved every song she sang, especially my favorite, "Can't Raise A Man." She should be given her flowers now.

The crowd went wild when R&B singer Jaheim hit the stage as the second performer of the night. His intro included past photos, unconfirmed rumors, and speculations of what he's been doing since no new music has been produced. He shut all the naysayers down once he started to sing. He sounded like he did when he released his first album. Nothing about his voice has changed at all. Jaheim sang hits such as "Finding My Way Back" and "Put That Woman First".

Contemporary R&B crooner Trey Songz had women of all ages going crazy! He had the "bad boy" swag sex appeal going on. Songz displayed a charismatic stage presence and impressive vocal range, ensuring everyone remembered his name. He performed "Na Na," "Bottoms Up," "Love Faces," and more. His band made his performance top-notch.

Keyshia Cole performing at The Love Hard Tour Atlanta stop

The show's final act featured Multi-Platinum R&B Singer/Songwriter Keyshia Cole. The crowd was excited to see and hear her soulful and beautiful voice. Keyshia stepped out on stage singing "I Changed My Mind." She also sang a few of her hit songs, such as "Love," "Shoulda Let You Go," and "Heaven Sent," a few more, and then she said good night and walked off stage. Many fans were disappointed. She has a large catalog of hits, and we all were eager to hear more. Keyshia did announce that a new album will be out soon.

Despite potential time constraints, the DJ kept the energy high during intermissions, contributing to a memorable night. Don't miss your chance to witness these R&B legends live – secure your tickets at  https://blackpromoterscollective.com/tours  today.

Houston showed up March 22 at the Toyota Center with a capacity crowd for a night of R&B music for "The Love Hard Tour," who in return showed out, and featured headlining performances by Keyshia Cole and Trey Songz along with direct support from Jaheim.

Cole, dubbed by many as “The Princess of Hip-Hop Soul,” commanded immediate attention with a stunning a fire-red outfit with matching hat, boots and of course red lipstick.

“Where’s all my ladies?” Cole shouted. A massive reaction led into her first No. 1 single and Grammy-nominated “Let It Go,” which is also one of our favorites in her catalog. The song was released in 2007 and included rappers Missy Elliott and Lil’ Kim. The original video by director Benny Boom is still fun to watch.

This was our first time seeing the 42-year-old Cole and she is worth the price of admission. The soprano from California did an exceptional job with her setlist. With so many songs to choose from (seven albums), Cole covered all the bases with the likes of “Last Night,” “I Remember,” “Shoulda Let You Go,” “Heaven Sent,” “I Changed My Mind,” “Trust and Believe” and “Love.”

While all were flawless, we gravitated most towards “I Should Have Cheated” from her 2005 debut record, “The Way It Is.” The first verse of the song says it all:

‘First of all, let me say You can't accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me But if that's the case, I should go have my fun and do all the things you say I do Boy, I can't continue to take this from you.’

We also remember that video, too. I believe it stayed in top rotation on BET’s “106 & Park” for months.

Trey Songz is Trey Songz. For starters, he's sold mre than 25 million albums. Like his tourmate Cole, literally every song is a hit, and Trey has dozens to choose from... A-plus by the way – “Gotta Go,” “Can’t Help But Wait,” “I Need a Girl,” “Heart Attack,” “I Invented Sex,” which was his first of many chart-toppers, “Slow Motion,” “Na Na” as well as “Bottoms Up” and “Say Aah,” which both of the those can still be heard in night clubs around the world.

“The Love Hard Tour” opened with short video montage with career speculations of Jaheim. Those “rumors” were quickly laid to rest after his set. The New Jersey native proved he still belongs.

An additional positive about the tour – all three performers are backed by a live band. Concerts are just a better vibe when the vocalists are joined on stage with professional musicians.

It was another fantastic show produced by The Black Promoters Collective, which is a coalition of six of the national’s top independent concert promotion and event production companies that produces more than 200 events across the country each year.

Their next event in Houston comes Saturday, April 13, with the Frankie Beverly & Maze “I Wanna Thank You Tour,” which co-stars The O’Jays and El Debarge at the Toyota Center. Tickets are available online at toyotacenter.com .

Minneapolis cat tour started as joke, now draws hundreds of admirers

“I love to do weird, goofy stuff like this,” said John Edwards, who organizes the yearly event.

Key takeaways

Summary is AI-generated, newsroom-reviewed.

  • The tour features 22 stops, including a cat memorial.
  • Community building is the main goal of this annual event.
  • The organizer prefers dogs but appreciates the camaraderie of the cat tours.

The cat tour started small.

John Edwards thought it would be hilarious — and somewhat ridiculous — to lead a walk through his Minneapolis neighborhood admiring the many felines that live there.

“It’s the kind of densely populated neighborhood where if you’re walking around, you’re going to see a lot of cats,” said Edwards, who lives in Lowry Hill East — often called “the Wedge” because of its wedgelike shape — where there are approximately 9,300 residents.

About a dozen people showed up for the impromptu cat tour, led by Edwards, seven years ago. Over a two-mile walk, the group stopped to see about 20 cats peeking through their windows.

Edwards — who runs a hyperlocal media publication called Wedge Live — never anticipated his cat tour concept would catch on. But people loved it and wanted more, so Edwards began organizing an annual cat tour.

It grew every year.

“It was a joke, and now it’s real,” Edwards said. “I just thought it would be a funny theme for an event, and it turned into a thing hundreds and hundreds of people wanted to come to.”

On the evening of June 26, about 500 people of all ages congregated at a local park, ready to start the annual cat tour. Many held signs saying “show us your cats,” and people also wore official “Cats of the Wedge” T-shirts, tank tops and totes. Local reporters were there to cover the tour.

“It’s incredibly weird,” Edwards said of his yearly event, which is free. “I love to do weird, goofy stuff like this.”

Other people love it, too. While the cat tour is mainly attended by locals, some travel from surrounding suburbs — or farther — to be there.

“Last year, we even had a guy who came specifically for the cat tour from Oklahoma City,” Edwards said. “He said he had it on his bucket list and flew in.”

Now that the event has grown considerably, Edwards requests that residents who want to feature their felines in the tour register their pets. This year, there were about 22 stops along the one-hour tour, though there were several “bonus cats” (as Edwards calls them) whose owners saw the commotion outside and decided to bring out their furry friends to join in the fun. There was also a memorial for a former tour cat named Princess Pickles.

While many cats remain inside their homes, others come out to mingle. The large group blocks traffic, but drivers don’t seem to mind.

“It really is just getting together with your neighbors, going for a walk and looking at cats,” said Taylor Dahlin, who lives in a nearby neighborhood and has attended five cat tours over the years. “I’ve never heard of anything like that. It’s just such a fun way to spend an evening.”

Paula Chesley is also a big fan of the cat tour. For three years, she showed off her cat Billie Jean. She brought her outside in a stroller to socialize with people.

“She loved it,” said Chesley, adding that she has met many friends through the tour.

Billie Jean passed away last July, but Chesley was still eager to participate in the event.

“It’s very whimsical,” she said. “I think it just brings out peoples’ sense of silliness.”

Chesley hopes her new rescue cat, Elvis, can be showcased in next year’s cat tour when he is less skittish. In the meantime, she loved meeting the other neighborhood cats.

“It’s a very joyful event,” she said.

David Montgomery’s cats, Coda and Margeaux, posed for people in their window. Montgomery is also taking care of a litter of kittens and placed them in another window for tour attendees to offer their oohs and aahs.

“People loved it,” Montgomery said. “I love showing off our cats and getting to see everyone.”

Montgomery moved to the Wedge last year and said the cat tour is a staple gathering for residents.

“It’s one of the highlights of living in this neighborhood, both the event itself, and the kind of community that being able to host an event like this reflects,” he said.

Community-building is Edwards’s main goal for the annual tour.

“I’ve come to really appreciate how much people enjoy it,” he said.

Edwards did, however, want to clarify one thing: He does not have a cat. He described himself as more of a dog person.

“I love all animals, but I kind of prefer dogs, so it is odd that I’m the cat tour guy,” he said, explaining that a cat tour seemed simpler than a dog tour, as dogs tend to be less docile.

“It’s not really about the cats,” he said. “It’s a large number of people getting together and sharing an experience. I think people really just like the camaraderie.”

The 2025 cat tour is already scheduled for June 25. Edwards plans to carry on the cat tour tradition indefinitely.

“Everyone has such a good time,” he said. “Every year, I’m shocked by how happy everyone looks while it’s happening.”

"I would love to get in the ring [with Cena]”: Former WWE Intercontinental Champion on John Cena's Retirement Tour

T he internet is currently abuzz with one major story: John Cena's retirement. The 16-time World Champion recently announced his decision to retire from WWE during the Money in the Bank PLE, shocking the wrestling community. Fans are heartbroken to see their childhood hero leave the ring, and many WWE superstars have shared their emotional reactions to the news. Matt Cardona, in particular, expressed his thoughts on "Busted Open Radio" and revealed his interest in having one final match against Cena.

Matt Cardona on John Cena's Retirement Tour

In an interview with "Busted Open Radio," Matt Cardona recently shared his thoughts on John Cena's retirement tour. Cardona, who wrestled under the Zack Ryder gimmick in WWE, has faced John Cena in the past. Reflecting on those encounters, he said, "I would love to get in the ring [with Cena]." He added, "I've definitely grown as a man and performer [since we last wrestled]." (Credit: Busted Open Radio/ Wrestling Inc)

Cardona, formerly known as "Long Island Iced Z," acknowledged Cena's role in his growth during their feud in 2011. "All these years later, I'd like to see John Cena vs. 'The Deathmatch King' Matt Cardona in a WWE ring," Cardona enthused. Cardona and Cena's feud in 2011 preceded Cardona's brief run as WWE United States Champion.

Apart from Matt Cardona, other superstars like Bayley and Liv Morgan have recently shared their thoughts on John Cena's retirement. Here's what they said:

Bayley commented, “I said, ‘John, if there’s anything you think is missing from the women’s division or anything specific you think I should work on, what should it be?’” “It turned into this hour-long conversation and it all came down to storytelling. What’s the story we’re trying to tell tonight? Don’t think about what they want, what he wants, what you want. It’s all about storytelling.”

Liv Morgan said, “He’s been constant, undeniable, always there,” Morgan, 30, said. “You can always rely on John Cena being there. He’s had an amazing, unparalleled career. I think he deserves to live the rest of his life exactly how he wants. He’s given so much and we’ll really miss him.”

John Cena, a 16-time World Champion, has faced some of the greatest wrestlers in the industry, including The Rock, The Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, Edge, and many others. According to some reports, WrestleMania 41 will be his final appearance at the event. However, he is expected to continue wrestling in premium live events such as the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber.

“After months of planning, fine-tuning design details and collaborating with the PGA TOUR, Presidents Cup and Fanatics teams to ensure a successful rollout, I couldn’t be more excited for our Presidents Cup uniforms and apparel collection to finally be launching today,” said Chad Delp, president and CEO of Summit Golf Brands. “Having the opportunity to outfit some of the world’s best golfers with B. Draddy and Zero Restriction during an event as prestigious as the Presidents Cup is truly an honor, and with today’s launch, I’m thrilled that fans will now be able to wear the same uniforms as the competitors, whether on their local golf course or while cheering from behind the ropes at Royal Montreal this September.”

B. Draddy and Zero Restriction will exclusively dress the International Team, the U.S. Team, caddies and staff with uniforms and outerwear for the biennial team competition. B. Draddy created uniforms for all seven days of the week, as well as separate pieces for various events throughout the week. Both teams will be provided with collared polos, golf sweaters, pants and Zero Restriction rain gear and jackets, all of which will be embroidered with the Presidents Cup logo and corresponding team shield or flag.

“Summit Golf Brands has been fantastic to work with in creating the 2024 International Team uniforms and has done a wonderful job incorporating our colors and the team shield,” said International Team Captain Mike Weir. “I wanted to pay homage to Canada as well, so we were able to incorporate some elements into the design to help represent our passionate host country for 2024. We are excited to showcase a strong collection of apparel and hope fans will come out showing their support for the International Team wearing black, yellow and the shield.”

My goal was to make the uniforms simple, functional, and comfortable, and Summit Brands has delivered on every aspect of that mission for us.”

Currently celebrating 11 years in the industry, B. Draddy is one of the fastest-growing brands in golf apparel.
