I’ve done several of them myself and I still get carried away when I write about them or look at pictures of them. With two exceptions (5th and 9th place), all of the tours are aboard smaller sailing ships and yachts.

This sailing tour is so beautiful – I’ve done it myself! Aboard the Schooner America 2.0 you sail towards the Statue of Liberty and experience one of the most romantic sunsets in New York. The atmosphere on board is really great and relaxed, while you can admire the Manhattan skyline the whole time. Even a drink is included! Be sure to check it out!

Live Jazz City Lights Sail

This 90-minute live jazz sail is one of the best NYC sails I’ve ever done. You’ll sail from Chelsea Piers to New York Harbor, always with the beautiful skyline and Statue of Liberty in view. What you can expect on the Live Jazz City Lights Sail and why you should definitely do it, I’ll tell you in my report!

We had an amazing time onboard the luxurious 1920s inspired motor yacht. Combine sightseeing with a romantic evening and step onboard the 1920s inspired boat at Pier 62 (Chelsea Piers – W. 22nd and Hudson River). During the 90-minutes long tour, you’ll get to see iconic NYC sights along the water and most importantly breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Especially in the summer, you can admire the most beautiful sunset during this special cruise. There is seating inside the yacht and outside seating as well.

Circle Line - Harbor Lights Night Cruise

The Harbor Lights Cruise by Cricle Line is an amazing way to see the NYC from the water. As the lights start to sparkle across the Hudson and East Rivers at dusk you see the beauty of the city at night from a whole different angle.

Classic Harbor Line: Sunset Yacht Cruise

Aboard the Manhattan 2, built in the style of a 1920s yacht, this wonderful boat tour takes you from Chelsea Piers south down the Hudson River to the Statue of Liberty and New York Harbor. I love the atmosphere here because it feels much more intimate and personal compared to the larger tourist boats. You can sit both inside and outside, enjoying a drink included in the price and of course the sunset. Fantastic!

This sunset boat ride to the Statue of Liberty departs from Pier 36 on the East River. From here you will sail along the East River towards the southern tip of Manhattan, passing under the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge.

Would have preferred going back the other way and hearing more about the skyscrapers. It was a chilly day, but we went out on the deck for a few minutes when some follows out to get all their selfies, loud and obnoxious! We went back inside. The boat was half full so was disappointed to be sat next to a busy table at the end of the boat as there was plenty of space to be spread out. I say this as I was expecting a quiet intimate trip ( one of the reasons that there’s no commentary on this trip ) but there were two large parties with noisy kids next to us which distracted from the enjoyment. I would have thought an adults only trip would be appropriate. Nevertheless the trip was great, up close to the statue of liberty and lovely views under Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges as the sun set. However we’d had enough with 15 minutes left due to the noise of the two groups one of which showed little respect for those around them. Price about right through Destination Coupons website. It was extremely organized. We had our own table assigned to us which was a very comfortable booth surrounded by windows. There was plenty of room on the boat so you never felt crowded. The food was delicious and plentiful and the view of NYC from the windows inside the boat as well as the front deck were spectacular.
