Princess cruise activities 2023 daily schedule + Princess Patter + onboard entertainment + journeyview on the app

Every Princess cruise has onboard activities led by the entertainment team of each cruise ship.

Below will show you an example of an entertainment schedule of onboard activities on a Princess cruise!

Of course, your cruise may (will!) vary, but this is just to give you an idea of what kinds of things you can expect, what time you may be able to expect certain activities, and more!

Onboard activities offered on sea days will be different from port days.

Because you will be on a cruise ship all day long, sea days will have more activities throughout the day!

Because most people tend to get off the cruise ship on port days, there will be less activities offered while the cruise ship is in port.

But as soon as the cruise ship has started sailing, you can expect entertainment activities to get started!

You can stay on the cruise ship during port days if you want. It’s not required to get off.

The daily schedule of cruise activities

When you are on a Princess cruise ship, you will get a daily activities schedule every day.

On the first day of the cruise, it will be in your cabin when you arrive.

princess cruise activities schedule on embarkation day

More of inside a Princess cruise ship cabin: cruise ship bathroom

For the rest of the days of the cruise, a paper version of the schedule will be delivered to you every evening by your stateroom steward (aka housekeeping person).

This daily activities schedule used to officially be called the Princess Patter, although nowadays it’s simply a schedule of “Princess event listings.”

princess cruise daily activities

Also on the daily schedule of cruise activities you will find the hours of things around the ship.

The hours of certain things may change based on whether the cruise ship is at sea or in port.

The hours are on the back of the Princess Patter.

More about a Princess cruise:

  • Princess cruise food in the dining room
  • Princess cruise wifi

Journeyview on the Princess app

Another way you can see what’s going on around the cruise ship is by using your Princess app.

The Princess app can be useful for a number of things, and one of those things is to see the onboard activities schedule!

On the Princess app, the onboard cruise activities will be under “journeyview.”

You may be able to start to see this before you even get on the cruise ship.

While you can look at it before you get on the cruise ship to start to give you an idea, it’s very likely that what you see before you get on the cruise ship in journeyview is not completely updated.

So just keep that in mind.

And if you don’t see something listed that you believe is an activity during every cruise, it could just be that it hasn’t been added yet.

The cruise activities can change even during the cruise, so you can expect that it’s very possible that it can change if you’re looking at it before the cruise.

Bookmarking activities on the Princess app

If you are starting to see cruise activities listed in journeyview, you may notice that it appears that events are “filling up.”

It’s possible to “bookmark” an activity.

But that is all it is.

It is a “bookmark” for your reference.

princess cruise onboard activities reservation

An event that appears to be filling up just means that many people have shown interest in the activity and have bookmarked it.

It does not mean people are making reservations.

That is not how you make a reservation for any of the activities.

And in fact, you don’t need to make a reservation to attend most activities on a cruise ship.

There may be very special circumstances in which you do need to do something in advance for very special activities, but this is not normal.

In general, even if you see on the Princess app that an event is “full,” you can still show up.

Likewise, you do not need to bookmark an event in order to show up to an activity.

More below for the day-by-day schedule of cruise activities of one Princess cruise ship!

Onboard cruise activities on a princess cruise ship.

This is the Princess Patter from 3 days of a 7-day cruise in May 2023.

There’s embarkation day, a sea day, and a port day.

No 2 cruises will be the same!

While your cruise will be different, you can also make note of the hours in port and hours or various activities around the cruise ship.

Day 1: Embarkation day

Day 2: Sea day (formal night)

On most cruises, the first formal night will be on the first sea day.

On a 7-day cruise there will usually be 2 formal nights.

Day 3: Port day (6:30am to 2pm)

And those are some cruise activities you may find on a Princess cruise ship!

As of summer 2023, I have spent 43 days on Princess cruise ships this year.

All of the above is based on my experience and understanding! Your experience may vary! Your understanding may vary!

Cool Cruiser

Just out of excitement for my upcoming trip, and having never been on a Viking cruise before, I would love to see some examples or photos of Viking Daily's to get an idea of what the days can look like onboard. I've seen photos of large fruit and chocolate tables and am curious to know more about or how often they are set up, or info about lectures, movies, etc. I would love to see/hear more about cruisers past experiences!

Can’t speak to your particular cruise but if you check out my blog for our transatlantic last April, it will give you some idea of some of the special events. Click here for the start of the cruise:

I thought I had blogged about the chocolate buffet but I guess not. 😢 sorry.

During our recent Asian cruise they had an American BBQ night (it was alright but no potato salad-horrors!) and several other special dinners on the pool deck.

We have decided that some of the decision on when to hold special events may be tied to how many people are trying to eat in the Restaurant at about the same time.  If after a day or two they see tht everyone is trying to eat at the same time in the same place, they throw on an event to draw some folks to another venue.

have a great cruise!

Similar to Clay, I am completing a daily blog post from this year's World Cruise. I'm not photographing the Daily, but am mentioning the special meals we receive almost daily and activities.

I suspect there are more Special food events on a transatlantic crossing or a World Cruise and its segments then a dedicated itinerary - back and forth of the same cruise like Midnight Sun or Med Sojourn.  We just returned from SA & Chilean Fjords with 7 sea days (plus 1 extra for missed port) and we had no chocolate bar, no brunch in the pool grill, no soup day in the pool grill.  Don't expect it  just because you heard about it on another cruise.  We did have a Land & Sea (lobster & filet) in the Pool Grill one evening where they set up lots of extra tables.  It was okay.  The steak was too well done and the sides were very limited.  I would prefer ordering a steak how i like it rather then stand in a long buffet.  We went because it was an "event".  A few nights later, they did the same thing.  We skipped it and had a wonderful served meal in an empty restaurant.  The World Cafe and The Restaurant have daily changing menus with fabulous food.  There are touch screens throughout the ship showing daily menus.  There usually is a seafood buffet in the World Cafe one night.  Watch the menus for it.  One night there was a ton of king crab legs, scallops still attached to the shell, oysters rockefeller, crayfish and the usual pile of shrimp.

As far as other events, they showed the Super Bowl Game on the large pool screen and the Pool Grill was open late for that.  It was quite the scene.  There were two movie nights in the pool area.  We had Dancing Under the Stars with the Viking Band.  On port days the activities were limited since most everyone goes ashore.   Depending on the day there were lectures (historian, astronomer, military historian, adventurer), movies, port talks, bridge lessons, dance lessons, tastings (wine, whiskey, martini), scarf tying, craft people gatherings, knitter gatherings, baggo challenge, yoga class, meditation session, jigsaw puzzle table, bridge tour, galley tour, Nordic Spa night, star gazing, sun gazing with solar telescope... Many things you must sign up for and are not advertized until you get the Daily.  Check with the Spa Desk for the yoga and meditation session schedule.  Check with them also for the Nordic Spa Nights (must sign up and $).  Check with Guest Services for the bridge or galley tours and sign up.  The astronomy shows are probably specific to the Jupiter and Orion which have the Planetarium dome.

On the other hand, I can't imagine that these things aren't planned well in advance because they need to have the provisions on board.

Shore excursions.  If you have booked shore excursions though Viking, the trips are listed inside the bulletin.  Make sure you check your excursions vouchers closely.  There may be several times for the "same" excursions.  Also check if you need to bring the QuiteVox.

You can also find the dailey menus, and lectures though your TV screen.  Many of the lectures can be viewed on your cabin TV.

Enjoy your cruise.

All aboard! What you need to know about cruise boarding times and how early to arrive for a cruise

Ashley Kosciolek

The big day is approaching, and you're finally getting ready to head to the cruise port and board your ship. How can you ensure you're prepared to start your vacation on the right foot? You'll need a plan for getting to the port and some knowledge about the embarkation process, including your cruise ship boarding time.

Cruise lines used to allow passengers to show up at the terminal on embarkation day whenever was convenient for them, within a half-day window. Now, in an effort to stagger crowds and prevent long waits at the terminal, most cruise lines either assign boarding times or ask passengers to pick ones that they'd prefer.

But what time do cruises board, and is there a best time to board a cruise ship? Read on to find out the answers, as well as when you should plan to arrive in your departure city before you set sail.

For more cruise news, guides and tips, sign up for TPG's cruise newsletter .

When to arrive for a cruise

cruise daily schedule

Ask "when should I arrive for my cruise?" and you likely mean one of two things: When should you arrive in your ship's departure port city before your sailing or when should you arrive at the cruise terminal on embarkation day?

The answer to the first question depends on how far of a commute you have to the cruise port. If you live within driving distance of your departure port, it's acceptable to make your way there the same day your ship leaves — unless you're looking at a multi-hour ride and don't want to cut it too close to boarding time.

If you're catching a plane, when to fly in for your cruise depends on several factors. I always advise flying in at least one day before you're scheduled to embark, just in case you encounter any delays or cancellations. That way, you have time to rebook yourself on a different flight if something goes wrong.

Related: Should I buy my flights through my cruise line?

However, adding the cost of a precruise hotel stay onto the overall bill isn't always doable for every traveler, especially those on tight budgets. If that's the case and you can find a super-early flight that gets you to your port city with some wiggle room, flying in the same day you sail is possible.

Either way, I recommend purchasing cruise travel insurance (through a third party, not through your cruise line) that will protect your investment if something happens and you miss your ship .

What time do cruise ships board?

cruise daily schedule

As for when to arrive at the cruise terminal on embarkation day, the answer depends on your boarding time.

Cruise ships usually begin boarding an hour or two after all passengers from the previous voyage have left the ship. Disembarkation generally wraps up by 10 a.m. at the latest, and some extra time is allowed for the crew to start on tasks like provisioning (restocking of supplies and food), bunkering (refueling) and cleaning of the vessel's cabins and public areas to ready them for the next round of guests.

Related: Cruise ship embarkation day do's and don'ts

Boarding begins roughly between 10 and 11 a.m., depending on the ship's schedule and how long it takes everyone from the last cruise to debark. Most cruise ships require all passengers to be on board no fewer than two hours before the scheduled departure time, which is almost always in the late afternoon or evening.

Best time to board a cruise ship

cruise daily schedule

The best time to board a cruise ship is obviously when there are few lines and short waits. The trick is knowing when that will be.

Unfortunately, it can vary from port to port and ship to ship, but I prefer arriving in the early afternoon, usually around 1 or 2 p.m.

By then, the morning rush of "me first" passengers has usually died down, and it allows enough time between your arrival at the port and "all aboard," the cutoff for when all passengers and crew must be on the vessel. (If you're someone who prefers to spend as much time as possible on board, you can elect to choose an earlier boarding time, but be warned that there could be long lines and wait times.)

Alternatively, if you have upper-tier loyalty status, you're booked in a high-end suite or you've purchased one of several perks packages (like Carnival Cruise Line 's Faster to the Fun, Royal Caribbean International 's The Key or Norwegian Cruise Line 's Priority Access), you can arrive at any time to take advantage of priority boarding or special embarkation lounge access to make your wait more comfortable. The latter often includes a separate sitting area with snacks and drinks.

There are several other tricks — like completing check-in online or via your cruise line's mobile app before you show up — that you can employ to speed up the embarkation process.

What to expect when boarding your cruise ship

cruise daily schedule

When you arrive at the terminal facility in your port of embarkation, you can expect the scene to be chaotic. Follow signs for the applicable arrival channel, whether that be parking or drop-offs via taxis, Ubers and shuttles.

Before you head inside, leave large bags with the porters, who will make sure they're safely loaded onto the ship. (Although it's not required, it's nice to give a dollar or two per bag as a tip.) You can't miss the porters and their baggage carts, as they line up on the curb by the terminal.

When you enter the terminal building, you must show your ID and boarding documents and proceed through a security check. Your carry-on bags pass through a scanner, and you'll have to walk through a metal detector. Although it's similar to the procedure at airport security, you won't have to take your shoes off or remove laptops or liquids from your bags (unless they find contraband alcohol or something else that looks suspicious).

Then, you'll proceed to the check-in desk, where an agent will help you complete the process. If you've already checked in online, you'll be able to board much more quickly. Exceptions are more advanced ports or cruise lines (like Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises) that allow you to skip the check-in desk if you've already completed everything (check-in, onboard account setup and security photo) ahead of time using the app.

In cases where you don't receive a keycard at check-in, yours will be waiting for you either at your cabin door or inside your room.

After check-in, you'll head up the gangway and onto the ship, where security will scan your card or boarding pass to log that you've boarded. (Each time you disembark or reboard in a port of call, you'll also have to swipe your card, so keep it with you.)

How long does it take to board a cruise ship?

cruise daily schedule

The length of time it will take from curb to gangway will vary based on several considerations, including:

  • Whether you're traveling light. If you have a carry-on only , you can proceed straight into the terminal building. If you have larger luggage, you'll have to leave it with a porter outside, which can take a few minutes.
  • How technologically advanced the cruise terminal and cruise line are. At terminals where facial recognition is used, you can board a lot faster, as is the case for cruise lines that allow check-in and the setting up of onboard accounts via mobile app before the day you board. Technology allows passengers to skip traditional check-in methods, which usually involve waiting in line to speak with someone at the check-in desk.
  • Whether you have priority boarding. If you're in the upper echelons of the line's loyalty program, purchased a package that includes priority embarkation or you're staying in a high-end suite, you'll have the privilege of boarding before most of your fellow cruisers, and the process will be expedited with dedicated lines and lounges.
  • Whether passengers adhere to their assigned boarding times. The goal is to stagger the number of people arriving at any given time so it's more comfortable and streamlined for everyone involved. If people disregard their time, it can cause bottlenecks and slow down the boarding process.
  • How crowded it is when you arrive. If there are lines for passenger parking, drop-off or check-in, it will take longer for you to make your way on board.
  • How prepared everyone is. If travelers aren't organized and spend extra time rifling through their bags for their cruise tickets, passports and other items necessary for verification, it affects the flow of traffic at the terminal during check-in. This also applies to passengers who pack contraband in their bags, thereby holding up the security line.

Bottom line

cruise daily schedule

It's a good idea to show up in your city of embarkation the day before your cruise if you're flying in. Ships usually start boarding shortly after the final passenger has disembarked from the previous sailing, usually between 10 and 11 a.m. Adhering to your assigned embarkation time will help to keep the boarding process running smoothly. (When choosing a time, aim for something in the afternoon, after the morning rush has died down.)

To ensure the shortest wait possible, make sure to check in and set up your onboard account ahead of time, online or using your cruise line's mobile app. Also, have your ID and other boarding documents handy, and don't pack anything in your luggage that could cause you to be flagged at security.

What to pack for a cruise: A checklist

Clothing for onboard the ship, what to pack for shore excursions, what else to pack for a cruise, where to pack what, bookmark this packing list for a cruise.

You're all booked and ready to set sail, having meticulously planned your shore excursions, sea days, specialty dining experiences and numerous events. However, the packing process lies ahead, leaving you wondering what essentials to bring.

It's common to fall into the trap of overpacking, assuming you'll need an outfit for every possible occasion. However, the reality is that many items can serve multiple purposes, effortlessly transitioning from day to night and vice versa.

Here’s a cruise packing list to the rescue.

» Learn more: Best credit cards for cruises

Necessities:

Socks and underwear.

Cell phone and chargers.

Plug adaptors.

Passport (unless you’re cruising somewhere that doesn’t require a passport ).

Emergency contact information.

Medications and toiletries.

And don’t forget your self-care items. You don’t want to pay the high prices in a ship’s store for basics you forget, so make yourself a checklist with the toiletry basics you may need like:

Toothbrush and toothpaste.

Glasses, contact lenses and solutions.

Over-the-counter medicines like painkillers, stomach remedies, motion sickness medicine, etc.

Any prescription medications, preferably in the original bottles.

Sunscreen and after-sun lotion (like aloe vera gel) to protect you from the rays and ease the sting if you get too much.

Deodorant or body spray.

Shampoo and conditioner if you’re particular about what brands you use and hair products for styling.

Feminine care products.

Shaving supplies.

Insect repellant, especially for shore excursions in tropical climates.

Hand sanitizer and wipes.

A small first aid kit.

Most cruise lines have blow dryers in each cabin, so you don’t have to bring those. You can also bring curling irons and hair straighteners, as most cruise lines allow them onboard.

Cruise cabins are small, so don’t plan to live out of your suitcase. After you unpack, most of the beds in cruise cabins have space underneath for you to store your empty luggage.

Don’t worry too much about having enough of everything (like underwear or socks) for every day of your cruise. You can always wash or dry-clean items if you want or need to wear them again.

Some cruise lines have self-service guest laundry onboard while others do not. You can send out your laundry using the ship’s laundry service or wash out items in your cabin sink.

The next thing to do is to look at your cruise itinerary. Take note of the places you’re going and the number of sea days.

You’ll want to make sure you have the appropriate clothing for where you will be and what you will be doing.

Clothing for sea days

On days when the ship doesn't dock, you’ll want to be casual and comfortable. That might mean athleisure or whatever you’d wear around your house when you’re relaxing.

For warm weather itineraries, it’s a good idea to bring two bathing suits so you can alternate them if one is not quite dry — and don’t forget flip-flops or pool shoes.

You might also want a light sweater, sweatshirt or wrap. Sometimes the air conditioning is cranked up and it can get a bit chilly inside the ship or out on the ship deck at night.

Clothing for evenings

Attire for the evening depends on what cruise line you’re on and what day it is.

For example, Royal Caribbean has the nights broken down into three categories: casual, smart casual and formal.

Casual: This means jeans, shorts (but not in the dining room for dinner), sundresses, etc.

Smart casual: A bit dressier, like something you’d wear to a nice restaurant at home.

Formal: Time to get gussied up in cocktail dresses or suits. The number of formal nights depends on the length of a cruise. But don’t worry if you don’t want to pack something formal. You can still go to dinner in something a bit more casual. You can also wear the same outfit multiple times.

Other cruise lines have similar dress codes but call them different things. Carnival Cruise Line uses terms like "Cruise Casual" and "Cruise Elegant." Celebrity Cruises , meanwhile, calls for "Smart Casual" and "Evening Chic" attire.

The main point is you will probably want something a bit nicer to change into for dinner. You’ll know what clothing to wear for each night because there will be an announcement in the printed daily newsletter you’ll get in your cabin.

The dressier nights are usually on sea days or days when the ship leaves port early.

For footwear, consider packing a pair of water-resistant sandals or flip-flops for poolside and wet areas. You'll also need comfortable walking shoes for shore excursions, as well as a pair of versatile shoes that can be worn both around the ship and for more formal evening events.

Remember that the ship is in motion and may sway, so it's best to avoid high heels for safety and comfort.

» Learn more: The pros and cons of cruises

Clothing for theme nights

When packing, you might want to take something for theme nights. For example, Norwegian Cruise Line hosts a "White Hot Party" where guests are encouraged to wear the color white. MSC Cruises has a variety of theme nights including White Party, Elegant Night, Flower Party and more.

Look at a map of where you're going to help plan your attire. For example, Buenos Aires and Ushuaia are both in Argentina, but Ushuaia is about 2,000 miles south and has a completely different climate. You’ll likely be very cold if you show up in Ushuaia in shorts.

If you’re planning to get off the ship in port, you’ll need to make sure you have what you need for a day on land.

There are several essentials you may consider packing for your leisure time away from the ship.

A small backpack or daypack.

A refillable water bottle.

A jacket or windbreaker.

Something to cover your head, shoulders or legs with if the excursion includes a place where modest dress is required, like churches, mosques, temples or other historic sites. A scarf or pashmina works well for this.

A hat or visor to keep the sun off your face.

Required IDs, so you can get back on the ship.

For most excursions, comfortable clothing and walking shoes are the norm. Layers can be great so as the day warms up or cools down, you’ll be dressed appropriately.

Pack the appropriate clothes for the excursions you've signed up for. If you'll be hiking, athletic wear will be crucial. For those visiting historic or religious sites, casual, modest clothing will be expected. If your goal is to beach bum, pack your swimsuit and goggles.

Some countries limit camouflage print clothing to military members only. Check if that pattern is allowed in your destination ports before packing anything camo.

Electronics

You’ll want your cell phone so you can use the cruise line’s app and snap vacation photos. Don’t forget a charging cord and a portable charger you can take with you on shore excursions.

And while your phone has a clock and alarm on it, it’s a good idea to bring a portable alarm clock and a watch that is not connected to your phone. You might cross time zones during your cruise and need to adjust to the ship’s time manually and override your phone.

Cruise cabins often have a limited number of electrical outlets, and these outlets may not always conform to American standards in terms of shape and voltage. It's recommended to pack an adapter designed for European plugs, even if your cruise departs from the United States. This adapter will allow you to connect devices that support dual voltage, ensuring you have access to power for your electronic devices throughout your journey.

A small bag

Also, bring a small purse or bag to carry essentials around the ship, like your ship card, sunglasses and phone.

Don’t forget anything kids might need like diapers, strollers, toys, games and clothing.

Other incidentals

Some other items you might want:

A refillable water bottle.

Zipper bags to keep things dry and organized.

A Bluetooth speaker to bring some tunes into your cabin.

Reading materials for time at the pool, on the balcony or in a comfy chair.

A nightlight for the bathroom at night. The light switch for most bathrooms is outside the door so when you turn it on, it can flood the cabin with light and wake your cabin mate.

An air freshener in case the cabin smells a bit stale.

Post-it notes and a highlighter. You can write a note to your cabin mate or cabin steward on a post-it. The highlighter is to highlight all the fun things you want to do in the daily newsletter.

Many cabin doors are magnetic, so pack a magnet and something to hang to help you identify your room in the long hallway of cabins.

The interior walls of cruise ships are magnetic, so a few magnetic hooks can create a space to store a hat, sleepwear, jacket or other lightweight objects. Magnets are also helpful to keep the printed daily schedule or other reminders where you can see them.

When you board a ship, you’ll turn your big suitcase over to a porter when you arrive at the pier. The luggage will go into bins and will go onboard separately from you. It will arrive at your cabin sometime later.

cruise daily schedule

So, make sure you bring things you might want for the day or need for the trip in your carry-on, which will board with you.

This includes medications, laptops, eyeglasses and any valuables. The other stuff can go in your larger suitcase.

Make sure your passport, any necessary visas, cruise pass (the stuff you print after you check in online) and the credit card you want to use for your onboard account are with you and NOT in the suitcase you give to the porters.

If you’re worried about how to pack for a cruise, don’t be. It’s just like packing for any other vacation. Making a packing list can help so you don’t forget things like toothpaste, which would be expensive to buy onboard.

You’ll need clothing to wear during the day, both on the ship for sea days and off the ship on shore excursions. For those excursions, you’ll want a day pack with a few essentials in it like water, sunscreen, a portable phone charger and anything else you might want.

For evenings, check with your cruise line to see if there are more formal evenings or if everything is nice casual. For many ships, think of what you might wear out to a nice restaurant at home. That would be appropriate for an evening onboard.

Overall, don’t worry about wearing things more than once. Everyone else will probably be doing it also.

Is the Eras Tour coming to a Disney Cruise? What to know about Taylor Swift cruise

Portrait of Samantha Neely

Editor's note: Story was edited to clarify this is a fan-led event, the "Getaway Cruise" has no affiliation with the Disney Cruise Line.

Ahoy, Swifties! If you were unable to attend the Eras Tour in Tampa or didn't grab tickets for the new Miami dates , you're in luck .

The “Getaway Cruise” is a fan-led  Taylor Swift-themed event aboard that is set to launch from Florida next September.

The cruise will head for the Bahamas and Disney's private island from Friday, Sept. 5, 2025 to Monday, Sept. 8, 2025. Believe Vacations travel agents Kim Haig and Kira Ashline will be hosting the enchanted event.

"The Getaway Cruise was born when Kim’s daughter Grace said 'Mama, I wish there was a Disney Cruise for Swifties' … and here we are," the website shares. "This cruise is for all fans, so bring your besties, your kiddos, your parents, your neighbor, you name it! If you need a roommate let us know and we can help you find one."

Will Taylor Swift also be on the cruise?

Unfortunately, there will not be any appearances from the popstar.

Believe Vacations notes on its website that they have no affiliation with Taylor Swift or Taylor Alison Swift Rights Management.

What does the Taylor Swift-themed cruise schedule look like?

The cruise is a 3-night cruise to the Bahamas, sailing out of Port Canaveral on Friday, Sept. 5, 2025. The itinerary for voyage looks like:

  • Day 1 - Port Canaveral, FL
  • Day 2 - Nassau, Bahamas
  • Day 3 - Disney Castaway Cay
  • Day 4 - Port Canaveral, FL

Believe Vacations note the event will take place during the Disney Cruise Line's " Halloween on the High Seas " sailing, which includes exclusive entertainment and deck parties, character costumes and meet and greets, themed food and beverages, trick or treating and costume nights for spooky season.

What activities will be available on the Taylor Swift-themed cruise?

It won't be a cruel summer while on the cruise. Haig shared what planned for those on board the Swift-themed ship:

  • Exclusive Welcome Gift
  • Private Reception (with open standard bar)
  • Disney and Taylor Inspired Theme Nights
  • Friendship Bracelet Trading
  • Costume Contest
  • Scavenger Hunt
  • Taylor Trivia
  • Door Decorating Contest
  • Group Exclusive Fish Extender Exchange (a gift exchange that's a Disney Cruise Line "tradition" of sorts)

What’s included in the ticket price?

According to the organizers, the cruise fare includes:

  • Variety of Dining Options
  • Soft drinks, coffee, tea and juices

It also includes the exclusive Taylor Swift activities for fans.

Here's how to book the Taylor Swift cruise on Disney Wish

You won't have to deal with Ticketmaster this time. According to Believe Vacations officials, guests can book rooms for the "Getaway Cruise” directly on their  website .

What documents do I need to board?

The website says that a passport is the best ID document for travel. If using a passport it cannot expire within six months of sailing.

U.S. Citizens can also cruise with a birth certificate on most sailings from the U.S. All birth certificates must follow Disney Cruise Line’s requirements as outlined on its website .

Where will the Taylor Swift-themed event take place?

Get ready to watch the sun go down on the Disney Wish in the water.

The Disney Wish is Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, first setting sail in summer of 2022. According to the website, some of the experiences on the 15-deck cruise include Marvel-themed dining, immersive water slides, Broadway-style show, character meet-and-greets and an adult-only Hyperspace lounge.

Are there other Taylor Swift-themed cruises this year?

Of course there are! The “ In My Cruise Era … ” is set to launch from Port of Miami in October.

The cruise, on the Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, leaves for the Bahamas the day after Swift's final show of her three-day stop in Miami. According to the website, the cruise fare includes stateroom accommodations, dinner in the main dining room nightly as well as additional buffet and a la carte options around the ship. It also includes entertainment.

The website does note that all 199 staterooms are currently booked and its waitlist is now closed, but officials said that those who previously joined the waitlist should "keep an eye on your email, we will offer spots in our group to members of our waitlist in the order inquiries were received."

Fury on beautiful Greek island as giant wave from cruise ship injures swimmers on beach

H olidaymakers on the Greek island of Mykonos were taken by surprise when a speeding passenger ferry caused a large wave to wash over Agios Stefanos Beach , knocking some people off their feet.

The incident, which occurred around midday on Saturday, left two people injured, with one woman reportedly sustaining broken ribs.

A beachgoer captured the dramatic moment on video, showing swimmers scrambling to escape the incoming wave and tourists desperately trying to save their belongings from being swept away.

The ferry responsible, identified as "FAST FERRIES ANDROS," continued to the port of Rafina on mainland Greece , where the captain was arrested.

Local media reported the captain faced charges of dangerous navigation and causing injury through negligence.

The powerful wave swept away deckchairs and personal items, as sunbathers quickly ran to a nearby wall for safety.

The video also shows two teenagers and a young boy running out of the sea, while a woman who remained in the water was knocked over by the wave. The boys rushed back to help her up.

Takis Papadakos, who filmed and shared the video on Facebook , stated that the woman in the footage was hospitalised with two broken ribs.

He criticised the ferry operator, accusing the captain of speeding too close to the shore to maintain the schedule.

Although a large cruise ship can be seen in the background of the video, both beachgoers and the coast guard attributed the incident to the smaller "FAST FERRIES ANDROS", which is not visible in the footage.

The Mykonos Port Authority has launched an investigation into the incident.

Team USA Basketball Showcase: Highlights from US vs. Serbia exhibition game

Portrait of Jack McKessy

The USA Basketball Showcase continued Wednesday with its second and final game in Abu Dhabi.

Golden State Warriors guard Steph Curry dropped 24 points and was 6-for-9 from beyond the arc. Lakers big man Anthony Davis had six blocks to go with seven points and six rebounds.

The United States entered the game having won each of its first two games. It was coming off of a close, 98-92 win over Australia on Monday.

Wednesday's game also served as a preview for the group stage at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games basketball tournament. The U.S. and Serbia are both in Group C and will open group play against each other again at the Olympics.

See how the U.S. defeated Serbia in each team's second game in Abu Dhabi.

United States defeats Serbia, 105-79

On the back of strong performances from Steph Curry, LeBron James and Anthony Davis, Team USA moves to 3-0 in its pre-Olympics showcase after the win over Serbia.

Team USA leads by 30

With three minutes left in the game, the U.S. has built a 99-69 lead over Serbia.

The Lakers' star is up to six blocks in the game with seven minutes remaining. He also has seven points and six rebounds off of the bench.

Anthony Edwards handles a scoop and score

The young guard snagged the ball from Serbia at the wing on the defensive side and ran down the court for an easy slam. Everything has clicked for the U.S. so far in the second half.

Bam Adebayo sinks 3-pointer

The 26-year-old center from the Miami Heat was the benefactor of good ball movement from the U.S. offense. As the shot clock wound down, Adebayo drilled a late shot from the top of the key.

Serbia cut their deficit to 18

Before the first media timeout of the second half, Serbia's shooting heated up. The team went on a 10-2 scoring run to cut into the U.S. lead and bring the score to 73-55 with four minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Team USA dominating early second half

Missed shots and strong American defense have held Serbia to zero points through three and a half minutes in the third quarter. Meanwhile, the U.S. is on a 12-0 run to begin the second half and extended the lead to 71-45.

United States leads Serbia at halftime, 59-45

The U.S. battled through the second quarter after a shaky first 10 minutes. A scoring run that began about halfway through the quarter carried Team USA to a 14-point halftime lead.

Anthony Davis up to four blocks on the day

A big part of Team USA's scoring run has been the strong defense from Lakers big man Anthony Davis, who blocked several shots at the rim during the run. The U.S. leads Serbia, 59-45.

United States extends lead with 13-2 scoring run

Curry's four-point play ignited the Americans, who add on with a big run to build their lead to 53-42 with two minutes left in the second quarter.

Derrick White on for Team USA debut

The Celtics' guard is on the court for his first minutes with the U.S. national team halfway through the second quarter.

Curry taking over

Team USA reclaimed the lead on a wide-open 3-pointer from Steph Curry, who kept the scoring going with a drive to the rim for two points and a four-point play on the next two possessions. The U.S. leads, 44-40.

Curry, James pair up to assist an easy shot for Embiid

The two multi-time NBA MVP winners team up with a couple of beautiful passes to find Joel Embiid open under the rim for a quick two points.

Serbia re-takes lead

Bad turnovers continue to plague the U.S., which has allowed Serbia to regain the lead with a couple of 3-pointers to open the third quarter. A tough drive by LeBron James ends an 8-0 run, but Serbia leads, 34-31.

Serbia managed to get the ball down the court quickly after a couple of missed shots from Team USA. They hit a buzzer-beating layup to bring the score even as the first quarter ended.

Edwards draws U.S. even with a deep 3

After Team USA moved the ball around to begin the possession, the ball ended in the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves star. Edwards drains a 3-pointer from the top of the key to tie the game at 24 with one minute left in the first quarter.

He followed it up with a steal and drew a foul to go to the line, where he sank both free throws. The United States regain the lead, 26-24.

Jokić nails hook shot over two defenders

With two Americans on him, the center passed out to Dobrić for an open look beyond the arc. After the missed shot, Jokić grabbed the board and sunk a tough shot over the defense. Serbia leads, 22-19.

Dobrić, Petrušev team up for lob and slam

On a breakaway possession following a steal, Serbian small forward Ognjen Dobrić lobbed a pass to center Filip Petrušev, who slammed it down over Anthony Davis to give Serbia an 18-15 lead.

Jokić hears MVP chants at the foul line

The three-time and reigning NBA MVP got "M-V-P" chants from the crowd as he drained two foul shots. Serbia now leads 16-13 at the first media timeout.

Serbia takes and extends lead

Several miscommunications lead to turnovers from the United States, allowing Serbia to take and extend their lead with an 8-0 run. Serbia leads Team USA, 14-13, halfway through the first quarter.

Steph Curry opens U.S. scoring

After Team USA won the tip, Curry drained a 3-pointer from the left wing to begin the scoring for either side. He nailed another moments later to pull the Americans into a 7-4 lead two minutes into the game.
