The Dandy Warhols and The Black Angels have announced a UK and European co-headline tour for this autumn – find all the details below.

The run of joint dates is set to kick off in Paris on September 21 before the two bands head to Brussels, Den Haag, Utrecht and Berlin ahead of a stop-off at Cannonball Festival in Copenhagen.

From there, The Dandy Warhols and The Black Angels will head to the UK and Ireland for concerts in Dublin, Glasgow, Manchester, London and Bristol at the end of September and into early October.

Tickets go on general sale at 9am BST this Friday (April 5). You’ll be able to buy yours here (UK and Ireland) and here (Europe).

The Dandy Warhols released their 12th and latest studio album, ‘Rockmaker’ , on March 15. The 11-track record features collaborations with Slash , Debbie Harry and Pixies frontman Frank Black (aka Black Francis).

Speaking to NME recently , frontman Courtney Taylor-Taylor explained: “Debbie Harry was very difficult to get [on the song ‘I Will Never Stop Loving You’].

“I sang her part in the demo, and made sure it was too loud and underproduced, because like a stupid kid, I thought it would make her think: ‘They need me on this one!’. Listening to her vocal reminded me of mixing Sinéad O’Connor [on the 2009 Wolfmen single ‘Jackie, Is It My Birthday?’].”

He also reflected on what it was like for The Dandy Warhols to be named as one of David Bowie’s favourite bands .

Psych-rock outfit The Black Angels, meanwhile, dropped their latest album ‘Wilderness Of Mirrors’ in 2022.

The Dandy Warhols and The Black Angeles toured together across North America last autumn.

The Dandy Warhols and The Black Angels have announced a co-headline UK and European tour for 2024.

The Bohemian Like You outfit and the Austin psych-rockers will visit this side of the pond in September and October to play a string of dates, which culminate in a show at London's O2 Forum Kentish Town .

Tickets go on sale this Friday 5th April at 9am BST from dandywarhols.com.

The tour follows the release of The Dandy Warhols' acclaimed new album  ROCKMAKER on 15th March -  which included the tracks The Summer of Hate , Danzig With Myself, which featured Pixies' Frank Black on guitar, I’d Like To Help You With Your Problem featuring Guns N' Roses legend Slash , and I Will Never Stop Loving You featuring Debbie Harry.

Meanwhile, The Black Angels last released a record in 2022, with their Wilderness of Mirrors album well-received by critics and fans alike.

Alex Maas and co also played a number of dates in the UK last year, treating fans to sets at the likes of O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire in spring as well as a spot on the line-up for Primal Scream's headline date at South Facing Festival 2023.

The shows follow the release of recent single,“ Empires Falling ”, one of the many highlights to be found on their electrifying new collection. Of the new single, the band say: 

“‘ Empires Falling ’ is a critical and reflective plea that examines humanity’s repetitive art of violent mass destruction. As we say in the chorus,  “it’s history on repeat.”  We are living in a  Wilderness Of Mirrors , w here it’s hard to tell what’s right from wrong, up from down, or the truth from lies as we navigate through these times  where the fate of humanity is being refracted and reflected from one state of panic to another. The world is a  “bleeding animal”  and we are left exhausted, polarized, and  “pleading from street to bloody street.”   History has proven, time and time again, that without a drastic metamorphosis from our leaders, politics, and ultimately ourselves…  “you can be the one who saves yourself, or you can watch it all go to hell.”

It has been 5 years since fans have been treated to an album from the band and  Wilderness of Mirrors  marks a triumphant return with their foot on the pedal with with acclaim for their new record already spanning across  BrooklynVegan ,  Clash ,  FLOOD ,  Gigwise ,  Guitar World ,  Louder Than War ,  NPR All Songs Considered ,  Premier Guitar ,  SPIN ,  The Times , and  Under The Radar  and more.

The new collection expertly refines The Black Angels’ psychedelic rock attack alongside a host of intriguing sounds and textures while political tumult, the pandemic, and the ongoing devastation of the environment have provided ample fodder for their signature sound and fierce lyrical commentary. Mellotron, strings and other keyboards are more prominent than ever before. The Black Angels –  Alex Maas (vocalist/bassist),  Christian Bland  (guitarist),  Stephanie Bailey  (drummer),  Jake Garcia  (guitarist),  Ramiro  Verdooren  (multi-instrumentalist) – co-produced the record, working closely with  Brett Orrison  (co-producer) and Dinosaur Jr engineer  John Agnello  to achieve something fresh and new while retaining their heavily influential classic sound.

Since forming in 2004 in Austin, TX, the Black Angels remain masterfully true to psych-rock forebears such as Syd Barrett, Roky Erickson, Arthur Lee and the members of the Velvet Underground, all of whom are namechecked on “The River.” The band’s global influence is solidified by their beloved, long-running Levitation Festival, the veritable ground zero for the genre’s past, present and future — celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

The Dandy Warhols announce joint UK tour with The Black Angels: where are they playing and how to get tickets

The Dandy Warhols have announced a four-date tour of the United Kingdom as part of their wider European tour - where are they playing and how to get tickets.

Fresh off the release of their new album “Rockmaker,” which came out in March of this year, alternative rock group The Dandy Warhols have announced that they will be performing a select number of dates in the United Kingdom as part of their European tour - which The Black Angels confirmed as joining them for the shows.

The band have a particular affinity within the United Kingdom, after the success of their albums “The Dandy Warhols Come Down” (with the singles “Not If You Were The Last Junkie on Earth” and “Everyday Should Be a Holiday”) and the follow up “13 Tales from Urban Bohemia.”

The latter album contained the single “Bohemian Like You,” which enjoyed success upon its initial release, but after being used for a national advertising campaign by Vodafone in the ‘00s, enjoyed a renewed sense of appreciation from UK audiences. The group also found critical acclaim on the big screen, with the rockumentary “Dig!” highlighting the divide between The Dandy Warhols and their one-time touring buddies The Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The band’s new album has been enjoying good critical reviews since its release, with Clash Music stating “Rockmaker’ is an experience of the addictive kind, a fitting reminder of what’s terrific about the Portland band, and it offers something novel, something blistering.“

The greatest modern day psych Rock band- The Angels live are an incredible melting pot of the past the present and the future . Get to the front, let Bob Mustachio's psychadelic light show wash over you and let The Black Angels take you to another planet. Live highlights:Science Killer,Bloodhounds,Currency, Molly Moves and You on The Run. These guys are behind Levitation the festival in Austin which is a game changer for anyone who likes psych rock/garage music.

I came home one night from a party and my wife had the TV on and the first band was just finishing on Austin City Limits. I sat down and started watching. The Black Angels started and I was instantly glued. Then the stereo went on, boom my mouth was agape the rest of the show.

They had just played a week before in my city. Really? What luck. They have not come back yet.

If they are anything close to what I witnessed on the TV that night I can only imagine the feeling of beeing in the crowd.

By far one of the best rock performances I've been to. The band from Austin, Texas are guaranteed to trip you out with their heavy phsycadelic riffs and aggressive bass. Saw them play at the Trinity in Bristol which is an amazing venue though definitely believe they deserve to be playing in bigger venues. True rock stars by nature, we got to meet them after the gig and they were down for going out for a drink in the town! Their supporting act 'A Place to Bury Strangers' too were otherworldly and is definitely one to watch! 10/10
