52 out of 55. Decent quiz, I enjoyed that. Thought the Hell pit was in Uzbekistan for some reason. I thought the island of spice was Cuba… Idiot Knew Callanish was Scottish but answered as Ireland when doing the quiz.

That’s a great effort Craig, well done!

I didn’t do too well, but enjoyed it a lot. Just one small point: Germany’s flag is made up of the colours red, black and gold, not yellow. It dates back to the Prussian resistance against Napoleonic rule. Volunteer soldiers wore black uniforms with red buttons and golden trimmings. The colours became a symbol of freedom and nation. Thanks for the great quiz.

Thanks for the comment Jean. I’m glad you enjoyed the quiz, and it’s always good to have a bit more background information on Germany!

@Jean, Good photograph took. Thank you.

Santosh Saha

That was really fun idea. Although I didn’t do well on your test but it was actually really fun to learn new things about the world.

Hope to see your coming blog. Thanks for the post.

@Pradip Karki, Send me more quizzes. Thank you.

TUI is seeking cabin crew who can join its customer-centric culture and use strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to work well in a team to thrive in the role and within the TUI community.

  • TUI Application Process

The TUI application process is multi-stage and involves an online application,half-day tests, and a half day assessment centre. You'll need to impress at every stage to progress through the rounds and secure your cabin crew role with TUI.

Awareness of the different application stages and what they involve, along with targeted preparation, will help you to achieve your goal.

TUI Online Application

The first stage in the progress is to complete an online application form. TUI roles are advertised on its careers website , where you can view the full job descriptions, create an account, and apply.

You won't need to upload a CV as part of your online application, but you will need to provide information about your educational background and work history.

You'll also need to answer some questions about your motivation for the role, and for working for an airline in the TUI Group.

You'll only be able to apply for a role at one base, so select your first choice of location.

There are also several physical and logistical requirements for cabin crew staff. To apply you must be over the age of 18, be able to reach up to a height of 6'2, be fluent in spoken and written English, and be able to swim 25 metres.

You must also live within 90 minutes of your airport base, hold a valid UK Cabin Crew Medical Certificate, and have a 10-year UK/EU passport.

Note that to apply for a UK & Ireland cabin crew position, you'll need to possess the right to live and work in the UK or Ireland.

  • TUI Aptitude Tests

If you pass the initial screening, you'll be invited to complete two online tests - a situational judgement test and a personality assessment. You should receive a link to complete these via email within 10 days of submitting your application.

Although online testing may initially feel daunting, with a little preparation you'll feel confident to achieve the high score you need when you sit the tests. Find out more about what each test involves below.

TUI Situational Judgement Test

A situational judgement test assesses how well you can cope and respond in different workplace situations. You'severalnted with several hypothetical scenarios and asked to indicate which course of action you would take from a multiple choice list.

Situational judgement tests are used to judge your alignment with company culture, so make sure you have a full understanding of TUI's ways of working and expected behaviours before you sit the test. Bear the TUI culture and values in mind throughout and ensure your answers are compatible and exhibit the key qualities that are sought.

The test will be timed, so you'll need to assess the scenarios and options at a fairly rapid pace, displaying that you can make important judgments calmly and decisively when under pressure.

TUI Personality Questionnaire

A personality questionnaire explores your preferred behaviours, your personality traits, and your motivations and drivers. It is used to assess whether you possess the right personality for a cabin crew role and if you are a good match for the TUI team.

You'll be presented with a series of statements and asked to indicate the extent to which you agree or disagree (on a scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree) with the sentiment or action described in the sentence.

Personality tests should be answered honestly. As with the situational judgement test, keep the TUI culture and values in mind as you select your responses.

This test will be untimed, but it is still important to work through the test at a steady pace. There are many questions to get through on a personality test, and an overly long completion time may suggest indecisiveness or an attempt to overthink and game the test.

TUI Assessment Event

If you score well in the online assessments, you'll behalf-day to attend a half day cabin crew assessment event. This will be held online and you'll be able to book on to an event on a date that works for you. It should take around 10 working days to receive this invite after completing your tests.

The assessment event will feature presentations giving introductions and an overview of TUI, group exercises, written assessments, and interviews.

For the group task(s), ensure you contribute meaningfully to the discussion whilst demonstrating your listening abilities. Teamwork is a key skill at TUI, so display how well you can work collaboratively.

The assessments may also feature a written element. For this, seek to write clearly and concisely, displaying your strong written communication skills as, alongside command of spoken English, this is a core requirement for the role.

For your TUI interview(s), come prepared with strong, practical examples that display each of the essential job criteria so you can evidence your answers. The STAR (situation, task, action result) method is a useful way of structuring your answers to ensure they are persuasive and evidence-based.

Remember that an interview is a two-way conversation, so try to relax and let your personality come through. Prepare a few insightful questions for your interviewer(s), as this will help to convey your curiosity and enthusiasm, as well as provide another opportunity to display your knowledge of the company and its operations.

TUI Group Interview Questions

While the interview inquiries may vary, many applicants can expect questions like:

  • Why do you want to work for TUI Group?
  • What do you know about the company?
  • Describe your strengths and weaknesses.
  • Describe a time when you have gone above and beyond.
  • Describe a time when you have dealt with a difficult customer.

TUI Cabin Crew Talent Pool

If you impress at the assessment event, you'll be placed in the TUI cabin crew talent pool whilst airport base requirements are finalised.

You'll then receive an offer to start your pre-fight training with TUI, subject to a valid UK DBS Check, EASA Medical Certificate, and any Overseas Criminal Record Check (CRC) Certificate required.
