I took my old Specialized Hard Rock in for some new shifter cables. It was done the next day, very reasonable cost, excellent work. I would recommend doing business there. Michigan Man

My Granddaughter was fitted for a trek bike. They did an excellent job. My son noticed that Trek was having a sale on March 1st and asked if this bike would be on sale. They said no and this was the end of February. Well the bike did go on sale for $140. Less . They refused to refund the money even though they spent over $1000. They did offer $140. Credit on future services. This is terrible customer service and I would be cautious if I ever had trouble with a bike purchased from them, standing behind it. There shouldn't be an argument, do the right thing.

The service technicians here are the best in the business. They are all well-rounded and can both help you find a new ride and fix any bike issues you may be facing. Shout out to these guys!

I was visiting Sarasota for a few days, and wanted to explore the Legacy trail. Stumbled upon Sarasota Cycles, and was pleasantly surprised. For $40 a day, they got me a Trek Emonda in great condition, both cosmetically and physically. Def recommend the place.

I've purchased three Trek bikes from Sarasota Cycle and relied on them for maintenance for 15ish years. Never a problem. Always honest and fair. Dave, the owner, is a class gentleman. He's on site most days working in the service area. Most of his staff have been with him for years. Jason in the service area for example 20 years. Mike up front I'm guessing about the same.. Always a good sign. Trek bikes of course a quality brand. You may also find bikes he has taken in trade or on consignment. As you'd expect a full line of accessories. I'm sure I've rated before but a recent experience which Dave went beyond normal expectation to assist me has me feeling very appreciative -- again. Thank you Dave. And staff.

Broke the chain on my mountain bike. Of course I wait until a beautiful Saturday to run down to Saraaota Cyclery to see if they can "fix it real quick" vs trying to order stuff on Amazon. Store was packed and the bike tech had a bunch of bikes behind the counter waiting to be serviced I showed him my dirty Mtn bike and broken chain. He checked my chain to make sure it was still good and that I did not need a new chain. He could have tried to "up sell me" to buy a new chain but did not. Said my chain was still good. Then God bless him said "give me 5 min" and took my bike away and within 10 minutes had it all done. Wow! Amazing and I am so grateful to him (Ken was the name on the receipt) and a that kind of customer service. Of course feeling guilty I bought a new water bottle and some GU's and Honey Stingers. You rock Sarasots Cycle and I will be back!!!

Been bringing my bike in for about a year now...popped 3 spokes on different occasions. Last time I asked what I can do..the owner that works in the service dept told me to replace the wheel since it's $60 and I'm paying $17 per spoke. I went with that..picked up my bike on a sat and went for a bike ride on Sunday..I rode a little over 1/2 mile, came to an intersection, had to stop and when I went to take off and put my foot on the peddle, my bike would not move. My back tire was locked up..got off the bike and moved fast out of the intersection. I pushed the wheel back away from the frame, but as soon as I tried the peddle again, it wouldn't move. I had to walk the bike home for a little over 3/4 of a mile. I was livid..there are so many ways that could have gone wrong. i brought the bike in Monday 4/18 and I explained it to the guy who was on and he told me it's bc the wheel didn't have axel nuts..I said did my old wheel and he said yes and said that he will order a new wheel with them. He said I'm so sorry this happened and I said I thank you for that but it means nothing..It could have been so bad. I told him I wanted to talk to the owner so I went back later..I was so surprised to find the guy I've been dealing with in the service dept is the owner. I asked if we could step outside to talk..he walked out and said he knows the story, he's the one that changed the wheel. He said he doesn't know what happened, he rode it and it was fine..I said I rode it to for a bit. What happened..he said it's just one of those things. I said I could have been hit..he says "I have". No apology, no credit for the wheel..nothing. He could care less. I don't trust them and now I'm afraid of riding my bike. I won't be going back...I will find another shop. Went back to pick up my bike 2 days later and he got it for me and told me he's giving me a $10 credit..really? Just add insult to injury..I should have blasted him and told him where he can put his big $10 and walked out the door. I don't want to do business with anyone like that...I'm still afraid to ride the bike! i'm back on the bike and everything is fine.. i had an issue with the gears bc of the wheel and went back and Ken helped me out..

Pulled in with my two bikes for some small repairs... thinking I needed to drop them off I was surprised to see Ken take the 1st bike, diagnose, and make the repair on the spot. He did the same for my second bike but given it required a new part that bike stayed at the shop for a quick turn-around repair. Great customer service Ken!

Trek Bicycle opens its first Reno store and showroom

The first dedicated trek store and showroom in reno is located at the crossing at meadowood square..

A big name in cycling is joining the list of shops in the area as Trek Bicycle opened a new 8,000-square-foot store and showroom in Reno.

The Trek store is in south Reno at The Crossing at Meadowood Square across the street from Whole Foods. The store is Trek’s first in Reno, according to the K Corp., which manages the shopping center at 6407 S. Virginia Street.

The store sells the latest bikes and products from Trek and the Bontrager brand. Offerings include cycling accessories, apparel and gear. The store includes a demo area to try out the bicycles.

The Trek store also provides service for any brand of bike. The full-service bike shop offers tune-ups, maintenance, repairs and customizations.

The Trek showroom is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

The Crossing at Meadowood got Reno’s first dedicated Panera Bread last year . Other stores there include Blind Onion Pizza, FedEx and Hotworx.
