Red Dragon Pirate Cruises is an adventure for the entire family aboard a custom 70-foot pirate ship. Embark on the waters of Aransas Bay for more than two hours of pirate-themed fun. 

Kids and adults of all ages will enjoy the costumed characters, sword fighting, water gun battle, treasure hunting, dolphin watching, and storytelling.

Book Your Pirate Ship Cruise in Port Aransas

Book your trip on Red Dragon Pirate Cruises seven days a week. Pirate adventures take place every day from 1 to 3:30 p.m. and every day except Monday and Thursday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Tickets cost $36 for adults and $25 for children. 

Red Dragon also features a sunset happy hour cruise from 5 to 6:30 p.m. daily. The sunset cruise costs $20 for adults and includes one free drink. Check regularly for specialty cruises like the 4th of July Fireworks Cruise. 

Food and drinks are available on every cruise. Get light snacks, soda, juice, and adult beverages for those of age. Don’t forget to snap a photo before boarding with the captain and crew.

Pirate themed fun for any age.  This family friendly adventure sets sail from Deep Sea Headquarters.  Explore the marina and keep a close eye out because dolphin sightings are a usual occurrence.  Once in the open water the real adventure begins.  Swordfighting, pistol duels and even some buried treasure are only some of the items that make this a unique Port Aransas Jewel.  Did we mention face painting. Reservations are recommended and make sure to arrive 30 minutes before your boat sets sail for the preshow.  Refreshments available for children and adults.

Do they have a time where you can hold or touch sea animals like starfish, or stingray? And how was the dolphin watching part did the dolphins come up to the boat at all?

Unfortunately they do not allow for the touching of any sea animals. The dolphins were seen while we were out but a part of the show is running into the dolphin watching crew and making fun of them and shooting our water guns at them. You can see… more

Such an awesome time with my 2- 3 year olds. Best place to take kids in port a ! The 2 main pirates were amazing with the show they put on! And the treasure hunt was awesome! My little girl won the most coins found

My family and I went for Father's Day weekend. Kids had a blast, even the adults had fun! Music was awesome. We got see dolphins. My son loved the interactions with the pirates. We were 19 in our group and there was plenty of space!

We loved this pirate cruise! They were so good with the kids, but it was also fun as an adult! We would definitely go again!

Our adventure aboard the Red Dragon was nothing short of legendary! From the moment we set sail, our little pirates were enchanted. They had an absolute blast with the water gun fights and sword fighting, and their excitement reached new heights as they searched for hidden treasure. Even mopping the deck turned into a fun activity! Our hosts, Zeke and Poison, were simply fantastic. They kept everyone entertained with their infectious laughter and amazing jokes, making the experience unforgettable for both the kids and the adults. If you're looking for a swashbuckling good time, the Red Dragon is the ship to board. Highly recommended for families seeking adventure on the high seas!

My Dearest Patches, My life forever changed when you came swinging into my life with your hawt kiwi accent. seeing you bare chested without a single hair glistening in the hot sun aboard your dreamy pirate ship. I struggled the whole time on my pirate training adventure. I was stuck starring and dream of being your pirate princess ARRRG indeed. ‍‍‍ One day when I'm about 15 or 16 I plan to run away and join your scurvy crew.

This is a great show. It is 100% intended for kids. The crew is fantastic and very entertaining. They have snacks and beverages onboard. The prices are ok nit super steep. We saw dolphins on our way back to the dock. All in all, real good show if you have kids. Even teens were having a blast.

Visited Port A from Corpus on Vacation. The Pirate Cruise is easily accessible from the ferry, you can actually see it as soon as you cross. Parking is a little unique as everyone on the same cruise booking parks in a few lines in the lot, but there is staff there to direct you where to park accordingly. Your car may get blocked in but it is all orderly. Afterwards you check in for your passes if you bought a ticket online or buy your tickets at the counter. Afterwards you sign your waivers and get name tags for any kids on your booking. While you wait for the ship to board, you can buy drinks and snacks to have in the waiting area. No outside food or drinks are allowed but there didn't see to have a problem with having containers for water or large bags (we had 2 young kids so diapers, water, change of clothes, etc). The boarding is approximately 15 mins from the time on your ticket. When boarding starts, each group with a reservation is allowed on at the same time and has a photo taken. While the ship is preparing to depart, you have the opportunity to buy snacks, drinks, and souvenirs from the galley on the ship. On our ship, the credit card machine had an issue so the crew was only accepting cash for the cruise. The crew goes over the safety requirements and explains the rules of the ship (no running, no sitting on the railings, no kids on the forward upper level, the restrooms, etc). There are no assigned seats and everyone is allowed to sit where they see free and fit. There is a deck where you board, a forward upper "VIP" area, and a rear upper level with outside and inside seating. The ship gets underway and this is when the fun begins. The crew is totally in character as pirates, complete with names, costumes, accents, and period appropriate dialogue! They are very funny and friendly. Throughout the cruise the crew explains various mythos of pirate culture and has various activities for kids and adults to partake in. There is a water gun fight, spraying nearby ships with water gun cannons, firing of the cannons, sword fighting with the crew, a treasure hunt, and afterwards, awarding of certificates to the kids to show that they are certified pirates! Since every kid has a name tag, the crew is great in making each activity personal to them. Our kids were slightly tired from the heat but the activities kept them interested and engaged. Towards the end of the cruise as you return, the crew plays friendly "yacht style" music and every has the opportunity to roam about and have a good time. You are presented with your photo from the start of the trip and can purchase a copy if you see fit (cash or card). The crew at this time also roams around and asks for some well deserved tips which can be given via cash or card. Overall it was a fun and unique experience for our kids, 3 and 5, who battled through the heat and enjoyed every moment of it. The credit card machine being down was a bit of a hinderance for my wife and I as we had planned on having a few drinks for ourselves and snacks for the kids but that was a small issue compared to how great everything else was it. When you return, you disembark and return to your car. If others are slow in getting to their vehicle (for example, if they visit the store or use the restroom), you may have to wait a little bit. The car parked at the end of our lane didn't have their driver available to leave so the crew re-arranged the chains splitting the lanes and helped us navigate our car out of the lot and on our way.

You do it for the kids, right? Loud cruise with misfit theatre kids who shout into a microphone all day asking for tips for being nice to the kids. The speakers were loud. There was no quiet on the boat. The ride was nice- lots of dolphins. Great sunset. Water is $3 a bottle and it is hot on the boat! We bought 9 waters for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. The kids had fun so 3 stars.

Tuesday, March 12th @5:30pm. Parking is awkward. I strongly recommend parking elsewhere and walking up. If you park with Red Dragon, it's like you're on a Ferry but when it's time to leave, if you're the first car, you have to wait for all the ppl who parked behind you to leave before you can think about leaving. It's an interesting design. Check in is at the time you book. For example, I paid for 5:30pm and that was the check in time not departure time. We departed 20-30 minutes later. Once on the boat, you take a picture which they will sell to later ($10) it's good for memories. They have an adult only section at the top and the rest of the ship is for everyone. Bathrooms are single stalls. Use at your own discretion ‍. My opinion is that if you don't have kids, this probably isn't worth the admission. If you have kids... This is WORTH IT! The "Pirates" are engaging, funny, and enjoyable. Majority of the cruise is catered to children and I even witnessed teenagers enjoying themselves. They play games, laugh, get wet, spend money, and in some cases make money. The smiles and laughter are priceless. Suggestions: Upgraded microphones because sound was an issue at certain points. (Controversial suggestion) Limit alcohol. There were a few adults who were really enjoying themselves. They have kids so I understand but when it gets to a point of violence or aggression towards the staff (which we witnessed) then that can dampen the mood. All in all, great idea, great execution, great times!

Awesome experience! Definitely worth it and so much fun for the kids with a lot of cool surprises along the way.

Some Caribbean islands see almost 'total destruction' after Hurricane Beryl

A more complete picture emerged Wednesday of the extensive damage wrought by Hurricane Beryl's trek across the Windward Islands, revealing destruction and at least seven deaths.

At least three islands report more than 90% of the homes and buildings either destroyed or severely damaged, the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency reported Wednesday . All three are within the chain of Grenadine Islands, where Beryl roared into the Caribbean on the southern end of the Windwards, between St. Vincent and Grenada.

With 19 participating states across the Caribbean , the agency was helping coordinate disaster response on Grenada and St. Vincent and the Grenadines even as it continued to track Beryl’s movements across Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Belize. The eye of Beryl, still a Category 4 storm, raked Jamaica's coast Wednesday afternoon and was expected to pass near the Cayman Islands Thursday morning, before making landfall in the Yucatan on Friday morning.

The damage estimates for the Windwards – where Beryl made landfall over Carriacou – are only "a very preliminary look," said Elizabeth Riley, the disaster management agency's executive director. Beryl struck the islands with sustained winds of 150 mph and higher gusts on Monday, and the National Hurricane Center had warned that winds could be up to 30% higher on the tops of hills and mountains.

The impacts to the Grenadine Islands are "quite significant," Riley said, leaving residents exposed and vulnerable. Even as recovery efforts began, a tropical wave brought rain and gusty winds Wednesday to the suffering residents.

Grenada prime minister discusses damage on Carriacou

In a briefing late Tuesday after spending more than two hours in a helicopter provided by the government of St. Lucia, Grenada Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell described "total destruction" on the islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique.

"There's really nothing that can prepare you to see this level of destruction," Mitchell said. "It is almost Armageddon-like, almost total damage and destruction of all buildings. Complete devastation and destruction of agriculture. Complete and total destruction of the natural environment."

"There is literally no vegetation left anywhere on the island of Carriacou; the mangroves are totally destroyed, the boats and the marinas significantly damaged," he said. "There is almost complete destruction of the electrical grid system in Carriacou. The entire communication system is completely destroyed."

However, Mitchell added, he'd been heartened by the volunteers "showing true Grenadian spirit" by arriving from other less damaged areas in boats and fishing vessels to begin delivering relief supplies to those affected.

• The total population of 6,081 has been affected, so shelter is "a significant consideration."
• Majority of homes and buildings have been extensively damaged
• Communications have been significantly compromised

Petite Martinique, Grenada

• Estimated 80% of the houses and buildings extensively damaged or destroyed
• 900 people affected
• Majority of the island is sheltering in place

Canouan, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

• 100% of the island's population (12,600) has been affected
• An estimated 90% of the houses were damaged, either extensively or destroyed
• Police station in Charlestown lost its roof

Union Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

• Full population of 3,000 was affected by extensive damage
• Estimated 98% of buildings, including houses badly damaged or destroyed
• Airport control tower destroyed, hospital roof destroyed
• Power plant received significant damage
• Government assisting people who wish to evacuate

Mayreau, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

• Total population of 300 people affected
• 90% of the housing stock and buildings have been damaged or destroyed

Palm Island, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

• Resort and desalination plant significantly damaged
• More than 40 homes with damage, a number expected to rise
• Confirmed significant damage to the fishing sector
• More than 200 boats damaged
• Significant damage to the coastal infrastructure, particularly along the south coast 
• Partial road obstruction
• Significant damage on southern end 

Trinidad and Tobago

• Power outages
• Water disruption on Tobago 
• Roadway blockages on both islands

Bequia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

• An estimated 10% of the homes and buildings suffered roof damage
• Airport and runway are usable
• Minimal damages reported

Mitchell, Grenada's prime minister, said the island's northernmost parish, Saint Patrick suffered significant damage. The parishes of Saint Andrew, Saint Mark and Saint John also suffered much more damage than the parishes of Saint George and Saint David.

"It is clear that agriculture has taken quite a battering. It is clear that many persons have lost their roofs," Mitchell said. "It is clear, in some instances, many people have lost their entire homes."
