Surgical, spin-friendly and uniquely fast, the Extreme Tour gets updated with Auxetic technology for 2022

Introducing the Extreme Tour 2022! With this update, Head delivers a uniquely fast and spin-friendly weapon to intermediate and advanced players. Featuring the smallest head size in the Extreme family (98in²), this model packs a tad more control than the Extreme MP. Although too underpowered for those who require the mass-based pop of a traditional player's racquet the Tour is perfect for those who crave easy acceleration from the baseline and lightning quick reactions at net . For 2022 the product team at Head adds an Auxetic construction to the yoke which optimizes the feel and response according to impact force. Additional technologies include Spin Grommets which enable greater string movement for enhanced snapback. Like the previous generations, this racquet benefits from Graphene 360+ , giving it extra stability and power.  Ultimately, this is a great option for aggressive players looking for a speedy and spin-friendly weapon.

Head Graphene 360+ Extreme Nite Tour Limited Edition - 2021 NEW ARRIVAL

Adding product to your cart

Introducing the  Extreme Nite Tour!   Featuring a sleek black cosmetic, this racquet has the same specs as the Graphene 360+ Extreme Tour.  Compared to the Extreme Nite MP, the Tour version has a more compact 98in ²  head size along with a thinner beam. This racquet also has Head's  Dynamic String Pattern , which means it features denser mains in the center for control and wider spacing toward the edges for comfort. The upshot of all these features is an undeniable boost in control and feel, which translates into higher confidence when attacking the ball. Like other members of the Extreme family, this racquet features  Graphene 360+ , which combines the stability and power of Graphene 360 with  SpiralFibers  in the lower head for a cleaner feel at impact. It also comes with a reinforced  Spin Shaft  for greater torsional stability, along with  360 Spin Grommets , which use larger funnel shaped grommets to enable greater string movement and vicious snapback (think heavier ball rotation).  From the baseline the Extreme Nite Tour offers mindless control on full swings, with enough spin-potential to bring the ball down hard.   It also offers easier acceleration than the majority of its competitors, making it one of the more accessible and user-friendly racquets in its weight class. Although it lacks the mass and plow through of a more traditionally weighted player's racquet, the speedy feel makes it easier to scramble on defense or ratchet up the stroke speed when going for extra power and spin. At net the Extreme Nite Tour plays great on reaction volleys, but it also packs enough pop for closing out points with a bang. This stick also shines on serve where it whips easily through contact to deliver a dangerous combination of power, spin and precision.  Ultimately, with this addition to the Extreme family, Head delivers some impressive control to one of their most powerful racquet lines. Experienced players looking for surgical targeting on full swings should love this one.

New HEAD Extreme 2024

head extreme tour nite tennis racquet

The new HEAD Extreme 2024 is hitting stores in July. The cosmetic is bolder and there is Auxetic 2 in the layup.

The new HEAD Extreme 2024 is the update to HEAD’s spin line, endorsed by players like Matteo Berrettini, Barbara Krejcikova, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Jan-Lennard Struff, Richard Gasquet and Bianca Andreescu. It is a line of racquet that competes with Babolat Pure Aero , Wilson Shift , Yonex VCORE , Dunlop SX and Tecnifibre TFX1 .

The Extreme has always been some shade of yellow, and this time, it goes from the 2022 Avocade style cosmetic to a bold neon, going over to some kind of light beige. It looks nice in person and although I haven’t held it in my hand yet, I have seen it up close in the hands of Matteo Berrettini and Jan Lennard Struff here at the Boss Open.

What to expect from the new Extreme?

head extreme tour nite tennis racquet

There are no specifications published yet from HEAD or at Tennis Warehouse , but from what I have heard, they are renaming the Extreme Tour to the Extreme Pro. UPDATE, below you have a grainy pic of the HEAD Extreme Aux 2 specifications:

head extreme tour nite tennis racquet

I assume that adding Auxetic 2 will bring a well-dampened and solid feel, similar to what happened with the other models. If you want a more raw response, the Graphene 360+ models are a better option if you can find them on forums and for sale sites. However, I felt that Auxetic worked well in the Extreme Tour after extensive testing.

I am most excited about the Tour or Pro model, but I know the MP 300-gram version has plenty of fans. We will update this page as soon as I have more information and specs, so make sure to check back!

Jonas Eriksson

Jonas has been known as "tennis nerd" mainly for his obsessing about racquets and gear. Plays this beautiful sport almost every day.

Tennis Olympics qualification | Who’s playing and how does it work?

How do the atp/wta rankings work, you may also like, tennis brand sponsorships among the top 200 rankings, choosing the best tennis grip for your playing..., the best light racquet on the market, head speed pro legend, why use heavier racquets, new prince phantom racquets, atp houston string tensions, tecnifibre tf-x1 v2, the babolat pure drive celebrates 30 years, head boom 2024.

I have been hitting with the MP Extreme 2024 for a couple weeks. Play with a Mult String 17 gauge Tech NRG2 at 54 love this feel and the racket. I use a Yonex EZone 100 and played with a Babalot Pure Drive prior. This one is really plush and soft on my arm ( elbow issues from the past) and feels great. Easy to maneuver and serves are easy to get in. Color in person is nice if you like yellow . If you do not like yellow will not like it.

I’m an Extreme Tour player. But with that look, it’s gotta bring something new/special to the table. Basically, you have to buy certain strings and a Tourna grip to make it look decent. The Lemon Creamsicle isn’t working for me. I’ll just play what I got and maybe get another Avacado Tour at half price.

Would you recommend a Wilson Blade player like me switching to Extreme Tour or Pro ? I love the blade very much for its stability and control but I really like that new Extreme’s yellow lol.

We all know which racket on that table is Gasquet’s. But is that Berrettini’s racket with the number 26 on it? Is he stringing at 26kg?

Graphene 360+ all the way! Silicone in handle and lead at 9-10 /3-2. Auxetic flex was off to me, lost feel and precision. .

Can Daniil Medvedev extend his finals streak to 7 consecutive?? Draw Link Extract from ATP: Russian players have dominated the VTB Kremlin Cup, and Daniil Medvedev, Karen Khachanov and Andrey Rublev will look to carry on that tradition in 2019. Since the inaugural tournament, Russians have won the Moscow title 15 times. Yevgeny Kafelnikov claimed a record five straight titles between 1997-2001, and three-time champion Nikolay Davydenko started another run of Russian dominance from 2004-09, which also featured winners Igor Andreev, Igor Kunitsyn and Mikhail Youzhny. Khachanov ended a nine-year title drought for the home country last year. "[Winning in Russia] was one of the dreams I had when I was a kid," he said at the time. "Coming here [as a kid] I was asking top Russian players for autographs and dreaming one day to become a champion here. Today is the day and I am really happy. These are memories I will always keep in my head." Medvedev fell to Khachanov in the semi-finals last year and in the quarter-finals on his previous two main draw appearances. The World No. 4 celebrated his first title on home soil in September at the St. Petersburg Open, and is set to be the top seed in Moscow. Moscow native Rublev, who upset Roger Federer in August in Cincinnati, will be looking to record his first win in his hometown. I'm keen for a Medvedev vs Khachanov final. I'm pretty sure Medvedev will still play after winning Shanghai as he has stated he loves playing at home and won in St Petersburg. Also interested to see what Rublev can do. Not really sure what to make of the rest of the field. Cilic needs a few wins as he's been nowhere most of the season. Bedene got to a final a few weeks ago so if he stays in that form he will be somewhat dangerous. Not sure why the WCs have gone to such low ranked players - are they the next best ranked Russians?

I actually think Rublev could knock out Med before the final. He's a dangerous QF opponent and he's from Moscow, so this is his hometown tournament. It's really hard to justify voting against Medvedev these days, though. Briefly considered giving Khachanov my vote, but Medvedev it is...for me.

Dzumhur, Gerasimov, Rosol, and Dubrivnyy are the qualifiers. No lucky losers as of yet.

yokied

Med will be hard to beat, even on cruise control against this tepid draw. It's not Bash to the USSR like Peterboogie was so he should be even more comfortable. Lajovic is my trolltastic dark horse for the @tennis_pro . Honourable upsets could go to Montezuma, Alleyhash and Seppi.

LOL at Rosol trying to wind up Lajovic.

Khachanov had to save 5 match points, but got the 3-6 6-3 7-6 victory over Kohlschreiber

Kohlschreiber and his match points, ffs... How many players can say they've had at least 5 MPs on three separate occasions and have lost the match? Robredo and Verdasco are in that category.

Weak. Kohli has been terrible this year. I wonder how much he's got left in him.

Enough to push a top 10 player to the brink.

Rublev handles a very dangerous Gerasimov narrowly 7-6, 6-7, 6-2 Chardy serving for set at 5-3 with Kecmanovic on court 1.

Seppi still too good for the youngsters when the body cooperates. Got to love the weak era old guys winning in their mid 30s.

Seppi's first top ten win in aeons.

No Russian has defended this home title since Davydenko in 2007.

Hopefully Cilic finds a title here. If he failed this is the first year he go titleless since 2008. Not a bad feat but come on Marin.

Adrian Mannarino: 'From Montreal to Moscow, I played with only one racquet'

Adrian Mannarino: 'From Montreal to Moscow, I played with only one racquet'

A few weeks ago, before playing the semi-finals in Tokyo, Adrian Mannarino made a strange request on Twitter. The French player asked if somebody could send him a Babolat Pure Aero racquet, that he has been using for years, with a size 3 or 4 grip.

' Well, the situation didn't change, ' Mannarino revealed in press conference at Paris Bercy following his straight sets win over 2012 champion David Ferrer. 'I have very few racquets left. Between Montreal and Moscow I played with only one racquet .

It is a problem because when you play with low tensions like I do, racquets, the tension changes. And when the match is long, it's a problem. I would like to be able to change my racquets more often to keep control over the ball.

But unfortunately, I had to stay with one racquet and things went well in spite of that. But I don't know what I'm going to do for next year. I don't know if I'm going to keep that model. I might have three or four extra racquets in the garage.

But I can't play the whole season with those racquets. It's not enough. So anyway, I will have a month-and-a-half to think about that problem after this tournament.' What about his string strength (16 kilos). Does he know of anyone who has a similar string strength? 'I don't always play with the 16 kilos.

It depends on the conditions. I change it by two or three kilos sometimes. Other players also play with a very low tension. Jack Sock is at 14 (kilos), Kukushkin 12 or 13 (kilos). Many players have a low tension. It's surprising when you see those figures.

But when other players try my racquet they believe it's quite comfortable and efficient.' Why does he play with the same apparel? ' With my coach, I made a bet that I was going to play with the same outfit the whole year.

I'm not sure I will succeed. I started in Australia with the same outfit. But, indeed, I do not have a sponsor for my clothes. This might change in the future if I have good results. I might have a sponsor. For the time being, it's the end of the season and this is when maybe these things can change.

Some people will help me. I will try to have things change.' ALSO READ : Rafael Nadal: 'I am in Paris Bercy to do my best'
