Billy Ocean has spent more of his life onstage than anywhere else. Next year Billy returns to his natural environment with a string of headline shows throughout the UK, with a set hand-picked with greatest hits and crowd favourites.

Billy Ocean is Britain's biggest black recording star, with worldwide record sales of over thirty million and six top ten singles on both sides of the Atlantic. He also holds a Grammy award for best male R&B Vocal Performance, the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement, and in 2020 was awarded an MBE for services to music.

Billy Ocean

A career spanning celebration from one of Britain’s biggest stars.

Billy Ocean has achieved extraordinary success as both an artist and a songwriter. Having sold over 30 million records in his lifetime, Billy has collected a pile of Gold and Platinum records across the world and hit the number one spot worldwide on pop charts including the USA, Australia, Germany, Holland, and the UK. 

Born in Trinidad, Billy settled in London’s East End when just seven years old. The calypso crazy kid soon got turned on to soul singers like Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, as well as pop groups like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, leading him to spend much of his study time in the music room. Billy got his first break when he signed to GTO records, for whom his second single was the Motown-ish Love Really Hurts Without You , which reached No. 2 in the UK charts and No. 12 in the US. 

Billy changed record labels and his move to Jive Records provided instant success, with the million selling American number one single Caribbean Queen (for which Billy won a Grammy for best R&B Vocal), followed by Loverboy , and Suddenly , which became the first of Billy’s killer ballads. Billy also performed on the American half of Live Aid, making 1985 a truly incredible year for him. 

1986 wasn’t bad either, opening with When the Going gets Tough (the tough gets going) , the theme song to the Michael Douglas/Kathleen Turner/Danny Devito movie Jewel of the Nile . More hits followed as Billy also proved himself to be one of the most hardworking artists on the live stage, touring the world to ever-growing enthusiastic audiences.

2015 saw him celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of the Suddenly a lbum, which included the no 1 hits Caribbean Queen  and title track Suddenly,  with live dates across the globe continuing into 2017.

Billy Ocean is heading to Brighton in 2020

Following his sold-out tour earlier this year British Soul icon Billy Ocean has announced a huge UK headline tour for Autumn 2020. Billy will be performing the best of his greatest hits and songs from his upcoming new studio album ‘One World’ which is due for release in Spring 2020.

Billy Ocean is the biggest selling black recording star Britain has ever produced and has sold over 30 million records in his lifetime to date. Having achieved extraordinary success as both an artist and a songwriter, Billy has collected multiple Gold and Platinum records across the world and hit the number one spot worldwide in the pop charts, including the USA, Australia, Germany, Holland, and the UK.

2016 saw the ‘Here You Are: The Best Of Billy Ocean’ album released in the UK, gaining a Top 10 chart position at Number 4 this was Billy’s highest charting album since 1989. This year Billy celebrated the 35th year anniversary of his ground-breaking album, ‘Suddenly’ . Originally released in 1984 the record spawned the monster hits ‘Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run)’, ‘Mystery Lady’ and ‘Loverboy’. Gearing up for the highly anticipated release of his new album, 2020 is set to be another big year for Billy.

The 'Love Really Hurts Without You' icon plots a huge tour of the UK next year

British R&B legend Billy Ocean has confirmed dates for his greatest hits tour set for March and April 2023. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 25 March.

The 'Caribbean Queen' performer is lined up for performances at venues in Leicester, Liverpool, London, Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow and more. The tour kicks off on Friday 17 March 2023 at the Stoke Regent and wraps up on Saturday 29 April at Blackpool Opera House. See a full list of tour dates and venues below.

The run of shows will showcase the very best of the star as he performs his greatest tracks and fan favourites, curating a hit-studded setlist from 10 studio albums spanning across over 40 decades.
