One of the things I always fear about any type of hammock is that it will just come undone while I am chilling in it and that I will just hit the ground and hurt all over. You could also use it as a storage space and just put all of your things on it. So, say you are going camping with a group of friends. You all have at least one backpack, and maybe it’s raining or muddy outside and you don’t want to put those backpacks on the ground. Well, with the hammock you don’t have to. Just set it up and put all of your things in it and voila; your stuff is safe from the rain, mud, and anything else that could get to it on the ground.

And, the Castaway hammock is  ultra-portable . It weighs very little, so it really won’t be a problem to just throw it in your backpack. Other than that, I also really like that this hammock can really  be used anywhere – on the beach, in the forest, in your own backyard, etc. All you need to set it up are two trees that are close enough to each other. If they are not tightly wrapped around the tree, they could slide down the tree trunk, which basically means that the hammock won’t stay up. The next thing you should also consider is  the hanging height of the hammock .  If the straps are too loose then the hammock will also be too loose . And, when you get in it, your weight will pull it all the way down and you will basically be lying on the ground. And that is not comfortable at all. So, to avoid that, make sure that these straps are also tight enough.

Even if they seem too tight in the beginning, remember that this material is stretchy and it adapts to your body. And it’s definitely better to have it a little more above ground than to actually feel the ground with your behind. :>
