Guide: How To Come Up With A Slogan For Your Travel Company
Why is your slogan important.
Slogans are critical when doing any sort of marketing or advertising for your business.
Your slogan's role is to help the customer understand the benefits of your product/service - so it's important to find a catchy and effective slogan name.
Often times, your slogan can even be more important than the name of your brand.
Because your slogan has the ability to show your customer the type of commitment you have to them and also tells them exactly what your brand stands for.
So, let's dive into all of the critical pieces to coming up with a great slogan for your travel company.
6 Tips For Creating A Catchy Slogan
1. Keep it short, simple and avoid difficult words
Similar to naming your business , your slogan should be short and simple.
A great rule of thumb is that your slogan should be under 10 words. This will make it easy for your customer to understand and remember.
2. Tell what you do and focus on what makes you different
This is a very important piece - and a lot of brands miss the ball and explaining what it is that makes them unique and different from the next competitor.
There are a few different ways you can incorporate what makes your business special in your slogan:
- Explain the target customer you are catering your services towards
- What problem do you solve?
- How do you make other people, clients or your employer look good?
- Do you make people more successful? How?
3. Be consistent
Chances are, if you're coming up with a slogan, you may already have your business name, logo, mission, branding etc.
It's important to create a slogan that is consistent with all of the above.
This will help when advertising your business and creating a powerful website.
4. Ensure the longevity of your slogan
Times are changing quickly, and so are businesses.
When coming up with your slogan, you may want to consider creating something that is timeless, and won't just fade with new trends.
Try to avoid using terms like "we are the only" and anything with the word "technology," because your statement could be contradicted at any moment.
5. Consider your audience
When finding a catchy slogan name, you'll want to make sure that this resonates across your entire audience.
It's possible that your slogan could make complete sense to your audience in Europe, but may not resonate with your US audience.
The confusion could be due to language barriers or cultural differences - so you will want to determine who your audience is, and how this could be perceived.
6. Get feedback!
This is one of the easiest ways to know if your slogan will be perceived well, and a step that a lot of brands drop the ball on.
Ask friends, family, strangers and most importantly, those that are considered to be in your target market.
Here's a few ways you can ask for feedback:
- Ask for feedback on a Facebook group
- Niche forums
- Twitter communities
- Product Hunt
- Test a few different slogan(s) on Facebook Ads and see what performs best
- Ask a stranger at your coffee shop!
Examples of Great Slogans And Taglines
Needing a little inspo? We put together a list of some of the best slogans and taglines of all times.

If you’ve come this far, you realize many headlines use numbers.
There’s a very good reason for that: they work . Numbers make your headline specific, and tell the reader if the article will be a quick read (5 Reasons to…) or an in-depth resource (101 Headlines…).
A word on numbers: use odd numbers when possible . They tend to stick in people’s heads better (with the exception of the classic “Top 10” lists).

Definitely going to be trying these out.
Use as many as you want 😉 That’s why they’re here!
I used to write press releases for a living, still do occasionally so I’ve used this format over and over. Never seemed to get it into my post headlines though and I’m not sure why. Nice reminder, Adam. Thanks!
This great slice of inspiration - has been saved to Evernote. Thanks!
Really great post. It must have taken you hours to come up with this. Well done…

OuupPPs.. forgot to insert a head line and subhead line I have right now going out on the web on a squeeze page. I can’t determine if it’s any good because the squeeze page it still new and have to work it to get people to see it.
Here’s the headline-

Fantastic list to get the creative juices flowing. Thanks, Adam! I’ve been a web content writer for the better part of 12 years, but the travel industry is somewhat new to me. This list will come in very handy. In fact, it got me started on a few new blog posts this afternoon — I’ll be sure to let you know when they go live, as I do welcome your expert opinion.
Cheers! Aimee
thanks for this post, very helpful. more power..
Hello - Found you from a John Chow post. I thought that Question Marks couldn’t be put in Headlines. A lot of the blog posts I’ve already put on, plus many I’m working on, I’ve avoided Question Marks because I thought that they couldn’t be used in Titles and Descriptions, re Meta Tags - that the Question Marks - ? - would mess up the programming or cause some kind of problem.
Am I wrong? If so, I will start using them in the future - and maybe CHANGE some current blog titles.
Hi David, I’ve never heard of question marks causing any problems in the title. I could see it becoming a problem in the permalink though. Because WP defaults to using the title as the permalink, you should change the permalink to your SEO keyword. Hope this helps.
HI Adam, I just found the next best thing for my travel blogging success. I have a feeling your site is going to help me big time! *does a happy dance Thanks 🙂
WOW! What a great post! Just by the number 20 I had 3-4 article ideas and these days I felt like I don’t have anything to write about… So useful! I can’t wait to dig into this website for more inspiration and knowledge!
One of my headlines: I bet you didn’t know these 10 facts about Bulgaria. How does it sound to you? Would you read it?
some awesome nuggets here, I have just written out 50 odd headlines i could use for my blog and thats just from reading the first few headline ideas! Going to get down and start getting some content under the headlines now. thanks for the inspiration.
I began writing articles with how to… But SEO analysis suggested I changed as it aascreating too many ‘stop’ words.
*creating not aascreating!
All the ‘Questions’ headlines are amazing and I haven’t actually seen too many travel bloggers doing this sort of post yet, so well done for coming up with those in particular!

Biden cuts short weekend trip as Iran launches attack on Israel
P resident Joe Biden cut short a weekend trip to his Delaware beach home to return to the White House as Iran launched a series of drone and missile strikes against Israel.
Biden arrived in Washington late afternoon Saturday roughly as Israeli officials announced that the attacks were airborne and would likely take hours to reach Israeli air space. The White House had announced earlier that Biden would be leaving Rehoboth Beach a day earlier than planned in order to consult with his national security team.
“This attack is likely to unfold over a number of hours,” Adrienne Watson, National Security Council spokesperson, said in a statement. “President Biden has been clear: our support for Israel’s security is ironclad. The United States will stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”
The administration has been on high alert for a possible retaliatory attack from Iran or its proxies after an Israeli strike killed a senior Iranian officer at an embassy in Syria. White House officials did not say if something specific prompted Biden to change his travel plans.
U.S. officials have deemed the threat from Iran as real and viable. On Friday, Biden said he believed an attack could happen soon while urging Iran not to go forward with it.
Among those joining Biden in the White House Situation Room for the meetings included Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Secretary of State Antony Blinken, National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan as well as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the directors of national intelligence and the CIA. Vice President Kamala Harris joined via videoconference.
Israel has not claimed responsibility for the April 1 strike that killed Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, a senior commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps' Quds Force, and six other officers as they attended a meeting in the Damascus embassy compound.
Earlier Saturday, commanders from Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard rappelled from a helicopter onto an Israeli-affiliated container ship near the Strait of Hormuz and seized the vessel.
White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson condemned the seizure in a post on Saturday and called on Iran to release the vessel. "Seizing a civilian vessel without provocation is a blatant violation of international law, and an act of piracy by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization."
The rising tension between Israel and Iran comes as the region has already been roiled by Israel's six-month bombardment of Gaza after the October 7 terror attacks by Hamas.
U.S. officials have urged Israel to not launch an all-out assault on the city of Rafah in Gaza, and Biden has been increasingly critical of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s handling of the war. But the White House has pledged to assist Israel in warding off a possible Iranian reprisal.
The Israeli military says Iran has launched ballistic missiles at Israel. President Joe Biden has been briefed on the attack.

And everybody who stopped was like 'We were cheering so hard for you. We jumped out of her chair!' And you know, I think even to Steven he was like, 'Wow, like, that's really cool.'
Jaeger isn't the only Chattanooga alum competing in Augusta.
Baylor and UGA grad Harris English led the Red Raiders to 4 state titles from 2003 to 2007 and is playing in the Masters. It's his 5th appearance.

3 men stranded on a Pacific island were rescued by spelling 'help' with palm leaves

The 'HELP' sign made from palm fronds is shown on the Pikelot atoll.
The U.S. Coast Guard and Navy were able to successfully rescue three sailors who were stranded on a small Pacific island for over a week, after they spelled "help" in the sand with palm tree leaves.
The three men, all in their 40s, left Easter Sunday on a 20-foot skiff from Polowat to Pikelot (both places are two small Pacific islands that make up the Micronesia archipelago), the Coast Guard said.
Six days later, on Saturday, a woman called the Coast Guard to report that her uncles had not returned from Pikelot, which is about 100 nautical miles from where they began. A Coast Guard rescue center in Guam began a search, but had challenges due to weather and the availability of resources. A Navy aircraft stationed in Japan and the Coast Guard ship, Oliver Henry, then joined the mission.
Crews searched an area of more than 78,000 square nautical miles, and the Navy aircraft spotted the trio's palm leaf message the following day.

Stranded mariners rescued from island in micronesia, thanks to 'sos' etched in sand.
"This act of ingenuity was pivotal in guiding rescue efforts directly to their location," said Lt. Chelsea Garcia, the search and rescue mission coordinator.
Aircraft crews deployed a radio and other supplies down, and the men said they had food and water, were in good health and had their boat, though it was damaged. On Tuesday, the men were returned to Polowat.
"Whether we're out there protecting valuable resources or saving lives, we're not just visitors – we're members of this vibrant maritime community that connects all these islands," said Lt. Ray Cerrato, the commanding officer of USCGC Oliver Henry. "This recent operation near Pikelot Atoll hits home the kind of difference we can make. It's about more than just performing a duty; it's about the real human connections we forge and the lives we touch."

He just can’t stop losing body parts.
John Wayne Bobbitt — who made headlines in 1993 when his then-wife chopped off his penis while he slept — recently opened up about the most recent appendage he has lost: his toes.
Bobbitt, a former Marine, was diagnosed with toxic peripheral polyneuropathy after being exposed to contaminated water at the Camp Lejeune military training facility in the late 1980s.
The harrowing condition causes nerve damage to the extremities and caused Bobbitt to have all of his toes amputated over the years, the last of which were removed in 2023.
The operations left Bobbitt, 57, with two raw stumps for feet, a limp and needing special prosthetic shoes, he revealed in recent interview with the US Sun.
The condition can also lead to chronic infections , ulcers and painful skin grafts.
Bobbitt says his time at Camp Lejeune left him with more than just physical scars but mental ones that he believes contributed to his volatile relationship with his ex-wife, Lorena.
“Maybe I would have made better decisions if my cognitive functioning wasn’t distorted by the chemicals,” he told the outlet at his home in Sarasota, Florida.
Lorena Bobbitt claimed her then-husband raped and beat her and in June 1993, chopped off his manhood with a kitchen knife inside their Virginia apartment. She fled to her boss’ house and tossed the member out the window as she drove.
In a nine-hour surgery, doctors reattached Bobbitt’s salvaged penis and returned it to “normal” function , Bobbitt has sworn.
He went on to launch a porn career, and in 2013 claimed he slept with 70 women since the vengeful attack. That year, he nearly lost a foot after contracting an infection from a dirty nail at a construction site.
Bobbitt’s former wife faced up to 20 years in prison for the infamous act but was found not guilty due to insanity.
Bobbitt was acquitted on charges of sexual assault in 1993.
He is among the many military members, families and staffers believed to have been exposed to contamination at the North Carolina camp who are now fighting for compensation.
