Allegro Cultural Tours is about making our world a better place by creating meaningful travel experiences that connect people and culture.  It's about opening minds and hearts over shared encounters, exchanges, meals, and more.  It’s about spreading wings, broadening horizons, and deepening our sense of place wherever we go. 

This journey began decades ago when I ventured abroad with no cell phone or Google. I was in awe of the Swiss Alps, Tokyo, and villages in Peru.  Everything felt new and exciting!  I loved the diversity, languages, currencies, and culture.  Yet, my greatest inspiration and joy came from the people I met and spent time with.

Since then, life has taken turns, but I continue to connect the world through travel.  Along the way, I have sold elephant treks in Asia, studied culture and linguistics, taught ESL, run a restaurant, and been a tour operator specializing in music and performance tours for over 20 years.  I have led group tours for hundreds of delightful people! 

Allegro Cultural Tours is an exciting next step on my journey, but I am not alone. To every traveler, colleague, and friend, who asked “If not now, when?” I send my heartfelt gratitude for your encouragement and support. This is a wonderful campground… the sites are huge, so there is plenty of room to position your camper any way you want that would work best if you are in a group. Lots of play areas for the kids and a nice pool. I wish I lived closer!

Name a successful business that didn’t start in a basement? Witte Travel & Tours is no exception. In 1975, Witte Travel & Tours was a small startup run from Henk Witte’s home in Ada, Michigan. The company focused on arranging performance tours for choirs, bands, and orchestras traveling to Europe.

In the 80s and 90s, demand for customized tours, vacations and corporate travel kept us busy and growing. Witte Travel & Tours expanded branching into the group, vacation, and corporate departments. Our product line increased to include special interest tours, church heritage tours, art history and culture tours, vacation and resort travel.

Today, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Witte Travel & Tours is a full-service travel agency that still offers performance tours , as well many other types of travel including group tours , vacation travel , honeymoons , cruise and cruisetours , flights, accommodations and more! Through 40+ years of business, we have seen the travel industry change and are happy to be here to work for you!
