MEGADETH recently crafted "The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!" a record with a visceral energy, heaviness, and sometimes paranormal pace that few would expect from such a seasoned band with so little to prove. The album melds the ultra-frenetic  riffing, fiercely intricate guitar solos, and adventurous spirit of the quartet’s groundbreaking early output with the musicality and melodicism of its ‘90s songwriting, all laced with signature virtuosity and precision – plus, of course, Mustaine’s singular vocal snarl and wry, take-no-shit lyrical vitriol.

Both defying Mustaine’s recent battle with throat cancer and celebrating his defeat of the disease, "The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!" counterintuitively thrived on delays and cancelled tours resulting from both his illness and the worldwide pandemic. “The fact that we had so much time to work on it benefitted the songs in the end, because they kept evolving,” notes drummer Dirk Verbeuren. “Parts kept being refined; the ‘ear candy’ and the little details just kept getting better.”

Featuring some of Mustaine’s strongest-ever songwriting, including collabs with bandmates, "The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!" brings together everything that’s exhilarating and distinctive about MEGADETH. From the blistering throwback fury of “Night Stalkers” (featuring the iconic Ice-T) and first single “We’ll Be Back,” to the more mid- tempo and melodic “Soldier On!” and the very personal title track, with its enthralling twists and turns.

As always with MEGADETH, every riff is meticulously fashioned to constantly crescendo, with new harmonic elements endlessly manifesting and every detail structured for maximum musical and emotional effect. Yet, through all of the album’s moods and movements, MEGADETH never loses the crucial groove that binds the band members to one another and the foursome to its audience.

"The Sick, The Dying... And The Dead!" is a relentlessly caffeinated, riff-fueled romp of a record in its technical prowess, ambitious arrangements, staggering guitar solos, and nihilistic yet eloquent lyricism. Acoustic intros and interludes, a sense of progressive adventure, and Mustaine’s trademark socio-political commentary round-out the record.

Megadeth Announces Destroy All Enemies U.S. Tour

Tickets for the 33-city nationwide tour on-sale this friday, april 26.

Megadeth is bringing its iconic live show to North America with a 33-city, nationwide tour, Destroy All Enemies, produced by Live Nation, this fall including stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Boston, St. Louis and many more. Tickets for all dates will be on sale Friday at 10am local time with an exclusive presale for the Cyber Army/Megadeth Digital beginning today, Tuesday, April 23 at 12pm local time Megadeth.com .

Bringing along Mudvayne and All That Remains, the tour begins in Rogers, Arkansas on August 2 and runs throughout the month before wrapping in Nashville, Tennessee on September 28. Performing classic hits from Rust In Peace, Countdown to Extinction and more, the tour also brings Dave Mustaine and bandmates back to North America to perform their latest studio album The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead! Featuring some of Mustaine’s strongest-ever songwriting, the tour offers an equally ambitious live performance that delivers on all fronts.

Megadeth will be hitting the road in the United States and Canada this Spring as part of their Crush The World Tour . The band took to Instagram to share the exciting news with fans, and to detail ticket sales.

"CANADA... 2023! Get ready for the CRUSH THE WORLD TOUR this spring with special guests Bullet For My Valentine and ONI! Tickets & VIP Packages go on sale this Thursday, March 9 at 10am local at megadeth.com/canada ."

Megadeth will be touring almost entirely in Canada this Spring, performing only one show in America. The one American tour date in question will take place in Everett, Washington on April 26th. Immediately after hitting the stage in Washington State, the "Tornado of Souls" stand-outs will travel to Canada to perform in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Kelowna, British Columbia, Edmonton, Alberta, Calgary, Alberta, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Hamilton, Ontario, Ottawa, Ontario, Quebec City, Quebec, Laval, Quebec, Moncton, New Brunswick, and last but not least, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Prices listed on this page include facility fee and are the final price per ticket at the MVP Arena Box Office. Purchases on Ticketmaster will incur additional service/order fees. Tickets for Megadeth will be available for purchase in person at the Box Office beginning at 10am on Friday, April 26. Box Office hours are Mon-Fri 10am-4pm.

Only standard admission tickets are available at the box office.

CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12” will be allowed. Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand) will be allowed and do not need to be clear. Larger and other types of bags are prohibited. Style of clear bag does not matter as long as it does not exceed 12x6x12". There is no restriction on style of clear bag or clutch as long as it does not exceed the maximum size.

There is no storage or check-in for prohibited bags. For patrons with young children in attendance, diaper bags are allowed and subject to search.

The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! is the highest charting MEGADETH album of all time around the world, also notching No. 1 in Finland, No. 2 in Australia, Poland, Switzerland, and Scotland, No. 3 in the UK, and more. MEGADETH received their 13th GRAMMY® nomination for Best Metal Performance for the song “We’ll Be Back” from The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! (The band won a Grammy in 2016).

MEGADETH unleashed Killing Time: Chapter V, part of their epic multi-part short film from their most recent studio album The Sick, The Dying…And The Dead! (UMe) released last year. Having announced a show in Caesars Windsor in Ontario, Canada , earlier this week, Megadeth has now confirmed a string of new US tour dates leading up to their sets at the Aftershock and Louder Than Life festivals. They’ll be joined by the reunited classic lineup of Biohazard for the East Coast shows, which take place in September. You can check out the two bands’ itineraries below.

The shows include an Atlantic City, NJ date on September 17 at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena. Tickets to that and all dates go on sale Friday, July 14 at 10 AM EDT, with various presales happening now. Visit Megadeth’s official website for further information.

The original lineup of Biohazard — bassist-vocalist Evan Seinfeld, guitarist-vocalist Billy Graziadei, guitarist Bobby Hambel and drummer Danny Schuler — played their first show together in over a decade in June, coming together onstage at the Jamey Jasta-resurrected Milwaukee Metal Fest.

Last September, Megadeth released the highly anticipated The Sick, The Dying… And The Dead! to both fan and critical acclaim. The album debuted at the top of the charts during its first week of sales, taking the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 as well as number ones on Top Album Sales, Top Current Albums Sales, Top Rock & Alternative Album, Top Rock Albums, and Top Hard Rock Albums.

Megadeth is about to kick off a series of summer festival shows in Europe in Katowice, Poland, on July 23. On August 13, Dave Mustaine and company play at Bloodstock Open Air Festival at Catton Park, Walton on Trent in the UK.

An awesome show that reminded me of the reasons why I love Megadeth. My son was so happy that I took him along too, he said it was the best experience ever and that he now understood what it was like to at 80’s metal music gig. We both can’t wait to see them again. Hope they do their own tour soon.

AMAZING!!! I had the best time, I just wish I had the money to meet the band. I did get to meet the Drummer from the first band. He was bad ass! Really nice, I just can read their name.

This was the 3rd time seeing Megadeth, second time at the Revention Center. Awsome venue and just the right size. Thankful I was able to get to the front and your security was awesome. They bring you fresh water!

What can I say...I was at a sold out 1,600 person venue with Megadeth literally feet away from me. It was more than awesome. The guitar playing was amazing (from lead, rhythm and bass) and drummer did a solid job. Ellefson was really into it (considering he grew up near here) and Mustaine sounded great and seemed to enjoy it. Highly recommend for anyone with remote interest.

MEGADETH Announces U.S. Tour With AMON AMARTH, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, METAL CHURCH, HAVOK

MEGADETH has premiered the video for its new single, "Post American World" , along with complete details for the fall dates for the North American leg of their "Dystopia" world tour. The trek kicks off in Casper, Wyoming on September 20 and will take them across the U.S., visiting 16 states with special guests to include AMON AMARTH , SUICIDAL TENDENCIES , METAL CHURCH and HAVOK .

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 22. Check Megadeth.com for specific market info and local on-sale times and dates. There will also be an exclusive pre-sale for MEGADETH fan club members. Pre-sale tickets for Megadeth Cyber Army club members will begin on Tuesday, July 19 at 10 a.m. local time at ‪ Cyberarmy.megadeth.com .

Meanwhile, the current single "Post American World" takes an unflinching and timely look at the state of the modern world, and the dark vision of the Jake Macpherson -directed video takes the subject matter in still more menacing directions. Most other artists are unwilling to tread in this territory, preferring veiled metaphors, or more often, completely ignoring the most important topics of our day. But with their current album "Dystopia" , MEGADETH refused to compromise their craft and identity, and as such have again set the pace for modern metal.

MEGADETH leader Dave Mustaine comments: "The filming of 'Post American World' was an eerie video shoot right from the beginning. Shot in just one day with only our guitars and drums, I knew that this was going to be amazing. There is something to be said about the simplicity of an artist and only his guitar or drums. This is clearly a 'less is more' concept and director Jake Macpherson nailed it!"

Mustaine recently told Noisey about "Post American World" :"It talks about how you might not like the America that it is right now, and people are saying, 'Get the fuck out of my country, we don't want your military presence here, we don't want that,' but then there's a dichotomy at how quickly do people want to move here? There are so many things that have happened that have been good for places to have that Western mentality, but the same thing, you look at democratic countries, the U.K., Canada, stuff like that, that's pretty much considered the new frontier, the new West, so I'm not just saying a post-United States of America world."

Mustaine told the Houston Press that he considered "Post American World" to be a spiritual (and riff-wise) follow-up to MEGADETH 's popular track "Symphony Of Destruction" .

"There are all kinds of governmental backdoor meetings and agreements that [the U.S. government] has with people that you and I as Joe Q. Six-Pack have no fucking idea of the why, whens or how," Mustaine said. "People don't want America everywhere. And we can be like, 'Okay, screw it. We'll pull out.' And then they can see what happens."

Metallica singer/guitarist James Hetfield has explained the anxiety he faced before hitting the road with the heavy metal titans last month.

Hetfield, who’s been fronting Metallica across Europe since late May, opened up on a new episode of official podcast The Metallica Report , where he expressed self-doubt due to his age and revealed he suffered from nightmares before starting the tour.

“I start to doubt myself,” Hetfield confessed (as transcribed by Metal Injection ), “[thinking,] ‘We're old, we can’t do this’ – all that bullshit everyone tells themselves before they go into something they care about.”

Moving onto his nightmares, Hetfield continued: “So, having the nightmares about how I’m the only one who cares about what we're doing here: ‘Where is everybody?’

“I show up at the gig, everyone’s goofing off, or there’s 200 people backstage and thinking, ‘Where’s my stuff? Where’s the setlist? What songs are we doing?’

“And then, typical things like the guitar neck is made of rubber, and there are only two strings on it. And, ‘Where's my roadie?’, and the guitar cord won’t let me get to the microphone. Silly stuff like that.

“That has to happen, and I don’t freak out over it. All you do is you practice, and then you build that comes back pretty quickly.”

Hetfield finished by discussing how he manages his anxieties: “It’s part of the cycle; it just is.

“You have anxiety build up, and don’t let it get the best of ya because you have that balance of anxiety and faith. And as soon as you get up there, it’s all gonna be good.”

Metallica started their current tour in Munich, Germany, on May 24, where they overcame rainstorms and a video tower being struck by lightning to put on their show.

The band will next perform at the Olympic Stadium in Helsinki, Finland, on June 7 and 9.
