Lecrae has revealed the details of his final Church Clothes tour, set to kick off in spring 2023.

The gospel rapper is set to take “The Final Church Clothes Tour!” to 27 cities across the United States from March through May.

The 43-year-old musician begins the tour in Orlando, Fla., and hits Nashville, Tenn., Atlanta, Dallas, Indianapolis, and more before wrapping in Massachusetts. Lecrae will be joined on the Church Clothes tour by Elevation Rhythm and Doe.

The tour supports Lecrae’s November 2022 release Church Clothes 4, which is the final installment in his Church Clothes series. The 13-track project features Andy Mineo, WHATUPRG, nobigdyl, Jon Keith, A.I. The Anomaly, and Jordan L’Oreal.

Church Clothes was initiated in 2012 by the Stellar Award -winning artist, with the first installment hosted by Don Cannon. The visual for the title track featured appearances from Kendrick Lamar and DJ Premier. The mixtape itself featured No Malice of The Clipse, and production from 9th Wonder, Bio 1-Da, S1, and Street Symphony.

“I’m a child of hip-hop. I grew up with rap music, and God transitioned and transformed me when I became a believer! After that, people felt I didn’t belong in hip-hop anymore,” continued Lecrae.

“The Church Clothes mixtape series helped them understand there’s a place for artists like me. If Wu-Tang can spit the 5 percent gems, Kendrick can talk Hebrew Israelites, and Ice Cube and Lupe can declare their Islamic faith, why is there no space for Christian hip-hop artists? So, the first Church Clothes was about me getting mine off and spitting what’s in my heart.”

Lacrae (born October 9, 1979) aka Lacrae Moore - is an American Christian hip-hop artist, actor and co-owner and co-founder of the music label Reach Records, from Houston, Texas, U.S.

Moore’s early life was characterised by instability, never knowing his father, he was raised by his mother regularly moving house to places such as San Diego, Denver and Dallas. Unable to relate to his grandmother’s church Moore turned to listening to rap music and started leading a deviant lifestyle. At 16 Lacrae started using drugs, fighting in school and wound up on a gang list.

This turned into destructive, thrill-seeking behaviour, where his drinking and smoking increased and he acquired the nickname “Crazy Crae”. Convinced he had reached the figurative rock bottom he agreed to attend church again, only this time found he could relate to other members and ended up meeting his wife there.

Five years later in 2004 Moore and Ben Washer founded the Christian hip-hop label Reach Records, and released Lacrae’s debut album “Real Talk.” The album’s re-release on Cross Movement Records saw the record reach No. 29 on Billboard’s Gospel Albums Chart and remain in the chart for 12 weeks. A year later Moore founded the non-profit organization ReachLife Ministries that equips local Christian leaders to influence the young urban youth.

Lacrae’s three subsequent albums “After the Music Stops”, “Rebel” and “Rehab”, found the artist developing his strong wordplay with increasing musical finesse, with the two latter albums charting laudably in the Billboard Hot 200 and topping the Billboard Gospel Album chart.

2012 represented Moore’s mainstream breakthrough with the release of his first mixtape “Church Clothes”. The video for the title-track attracted over 20,000 views in a week and had notable cameos from Kendrink Lemar and DJ Premier. Moore’s follow-up album “Gravity” released in September 2012 was his best performing album prior to his seventh “Anomaly”, cementing Moore’s position in mainstream music.

Live reviews

I was first introduced to Lecrae's music when I a friend shared with me his new song "Don't Waste Your Life" off of his 2008 album Rebel. I instantly loved the music. I personally love this style of music; rap and hip hop, but I'd come to understand that culturally most rap was about getting drunk and other chasing of pleasures in this world. This music was the style I like but it held a wholesome and proclaiming message of the gospel. After hearing some of Lecrae I wanted more and I certainly wasn't disappointed with his release of Rehab in 2010 with tracks such as "Background," "God Is Enough," and "Boasting." Lecrae goes back to 2004 when he founded Reach Records and started the 116 Clique rap group with members like Trip Lee, Tedashii, and Derek Minor. (Their music is really good, too, but when I find myself rocking to a song it seems like its always by Lecrae or a song he's featured on.) 116 stands for Romans 1:16 which states, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jews first and also for the Greek." Lecrae's (and the other 116 guys) songs are focused around this verse. Lecrae's music is great. He has super fast paced songs with amped beats and slower rhythmic songs with amazing lyrics and rhymes. It is awesome to listen to all his songs but I found myself wanting to hear him in concert. My opportunity came earlier this year when Lecrae was featured on this years winter jam circuit. He rocked the stage with some of his newest songs from 'Gravity and Church Clothes, Volume 2.' On that stage I saw a man burning with passion to share the gospel with the world, as he hopped up and down with sweat running down his neck to "Tell the World and I'm Turnt." In the past year or so, I have been so inspired through this mans music. I listen to it all the time, as he preaches a different sermon with each verse. The flow of the speedy lyrics matching the perfect beat is tremendous. The words Lecrae puts into his songs are so meaningful. He doesn't waste a breath to proclaim the news of the risen savior.

Lecrae Devaughn Moore better known by his stage name Lecrae is a Christian rapper and producer who also founded independent label Reach Records. He has achieved both critical and commercial success with his blend of gospel hip hop having been awarded a Grammy award for his 2013 album 'Gravity'. The followup 'Anomoly' topped the charts in the US and Lacrae has found himself playing on larger and larger stages to more and more fans.

An artist who still appreciates the values of show, every detail of Lacrae's show has been meticulously planned from the stage layout, the accompanying musicians and the visual interludes. The overall effect achieved is one of high quality as the rapper performs a succinct and sharp live performance. Showcasing both his freestyle abilities along with his melodic vocals on 'Welcome To America', the crowd cheers are deafening at the finale.

Lecrae only disrupts the well planned show to talk about the influence of music and faith on his life and the hope that they have influenced the audience in a similar way. By the finale of 'Tell The World' the crowd is aware they have experienced a hip hop performance unlike any other.

This man is super passionate about his craft and it shows. No punt intended! He was so transparent and open. I believed that the majority of the people came for a "show", and in all reality it was not about that; the show was solely about Christ and experiencing His goodness. Angie was his backup singer and she was really good. She sang with all of her heart! There was a surprised artist there and the said artist were also there- 1k Phew and Aha Gazelle. They were also very chill and on fire for God. Go see the show!!! There were advocates for "Food For The Hungry" there where they eplained about how LeCrae have been working in Ugaunda on how to create substaintual living and working enviornments there (This movement is 26 countries strong!). I also appreciate the fact that there was an option to donate to the Childrens St. Jude Society on the AXS purchasing page. God bless Crae and his crew.

Lecrae rocks! I and my two adult daughters came with me. I have wanted to see Lecrae for years, it finally happened last night :-). My daughters also enjoyed Lecrae and the artists who also performed were awesome. I had come from work to getting ready for the concert. I became energized all over again at the concert. I would recommend Lecrae to anyone who enjoys good music. Thank you God for making talented artists like this. My hope and prayer is that Lecrae will continue to follow what God is calling him to do. It is definitely a encouragement to follow believers AND it encourages non believers to start the path to follow God.

Bro! This show was fire!! It’s my first hip-hop/rap concert, and it was not a disappointment. The vibe was consistent, but what was better is there was no compromise in truth. One of my friends was saying that it was such a cool thing to see. He’s going to be a pastor, and he was stoked that Christ was glorified unashamedly. He said even compared to his lost days, this concert was better performance-wise than the top rappers in the world. I would definitely go again!

Lecrae, Andy Mineo, and DJ Promote was a well polished and inspirational concert.

Amazing visuals and in your face music...Loved every aspect of it. The crowd was electric and all the artists brought it. Great new material and emphasis on providing a great experience for the audience. This is one of the best concerts in the country. You leave highly inspired and entertained.

Lecrae's concert was great. It was high energy. It had a lot of great ministry moments. And, as always Lecrae kept it "real." He always deals with in his testimonies and music things that every Christian struggles with. If I had to sum up his concert in one word it would be, AWESOME!

Born and raised in South Houston, the rapper moved around often as a child and found hip hop as a source of significance in a life filled with abuse and neglect. He began writing music at 11 years old for an R&B group consisting of his neighbors and found influence in his style from artists like Tupac and A Tribe Called Quest.

After falling into a lifestyle of drugs and violence, LeCrae saw a major life shift in 1999 when he was inspired by the Christian rap group The Cross Movement, kicking off the start of his own Christian rap career. In 2004 he released his debut album, Real Talk , which was re-released the following year on Cross Movement Records and reached #29 on the Gospel Albums Chart. The same year, he also began releasing music with the 116, a collective of Southern Christian rappers including himself, Andy Mineo and more. He saw a breakthrough into mainstream success in the early 2010s, with help from his 2014 album, Anomaly . The album featured the singles “Nuthin” and “Fear”, and reached #1 on the US Billboard 200.

Eagles members Timothy B. Schnit (L) and Don Henley perform together.

By the end of the extended Las Vegas residency, The Eagles will no longer be the “New Kid(s) In Town.”

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group announced they have tacked on eight (!) additional Friday and Saturday shows to their ‘Eagles — Live In Concert at Sphere’ stint.

Their 16-concert run begins Sept. 20 and now stretches until Dec. 14.

At all gigs, fans can expect an “ultimate connection to the band’s legendary catalog in an immersive experience that only Sphere can provide,” according to a press release.

These concerts likely won’t be the group’s last even though no other dates have been announced for their ongoing ‘Long Goodbye’ farewell tour. When the worldwide trek was announced back in July 2023, the band teased that their herculean run would conclude sometime in 2025.

Further, a second press release suggested “(they) will perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands.”

In the interim, fans can purchase tickets for all upcoming Eagles Sphere shows on sites like Vivid Seats ; the official on-sale is Friday, July 12.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

The Eagles 2024 Sphere concert schedule

A complete calendar including all Sphere dates and links to buy tickets can be found below.

Other shows at the Las Vegas Sphere

When The Eagles aren’t literally lighting up the stage at the Sphere, you can catch Academy Award-nominated director Darren Aronofsky’s immersive film  “Postcard From Earth”  on most nights.

Also, from July 4 through Aug. 10, jam band legends Dead and Company  have 12 shows scheduled at the visually spectacular venue.

If you’re planning a Las Vegas trip, you can find a complete calendar of all events at the Sphere  here .

The Eagles concert review

According to  Variety , The Eagles’ live show “easily competes with the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé for tour of the year.”

For more about Deacon Frey, Joe Walsh, Don Henley, Vince Gill, and what covers the band worked into their MSG concert, you can read their thorough review  here .

The Eagles band members

When you’ve been living life in the fast lane since 1971 (!), a bit of shuffling when it comes to your group’s lineup is to be expected.

Still, to this day, 76-year-old, founding member Don Henley (drums, vocals, also known for the ’80s smash “Boys of Summer), continues to tour with the group.

On the road, he’ll be joined by 76-year-old Joe Walsh (also of the James Gang), 76-year-old Timothy B. Schmit (bassist and vocalist, played with Poco), 22-time Grammy winner 67-year-old Vince Gill and the late Glenn Frey’s 31-year-old son Deacon.

Over the course of their illustrious career, the band has racked up six Grammy awards, performed over 1,000 concerts, and sold 150 million-plus albums.

The Eagles set list

On their farewell tour, The Eagles stuck to a pretty strict set list.

While we can’t confirm what they’ll take to the Sphere stage, here’s what they played last year, based on our findings at  Set List FM .

01.) “Seven Bridges Road” (Steve Young cover) 02.) “Take It Easy”

03.) “One of These Nights” 04.) “New Kid in Town” 05.) “Take It to the Limit” 06.) “Best of My Love” 07.) “Witchy Woman” 08.) “Peaceful Easy Feeling” (Jack Tempchin cover) 09.) “Tequila Sunrise” 10.) “In the City” (Joe Walsh song) 11.) “I Can’t Tell You Why” 12.) “Lyin’ Eyes” 13.) “Life’s Been Good” (Joe Walsh song) 14.) “Already Gone” (Jack Tempchin cover) 15.) “The Boys of Summer” (Don Henley song) 16.) “Funk #49” (James Gang cover) 17.) “Life in the Fast Lane”

Travis Kelce Brings Jason Kelce and Kylie Kelce to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in London

Travis kelce, brother jason kelce and his wife kylie kelce were spotted at taylor swift's london eras tour show at wembley stadium june 21..

We know   Taylor Swift loves a London boy, but a London family? Even better.

After all, Travis Kelce  attended the "Fortnight" singer's June 21 Eras Tour stop in London with brother Jason Kelce and his wife Kylie Kelce , and the trio made the whole place shimmer.

Before Taylor took the stage at Wembley Stadium, Travis, Jason and Kylie were seen   entering the VIP section together. One lucky fan even got Jason to autograph their New Heights podcast hat, while Queer Eye 's  Jonathan Van Ness took a pic with Travis.

The Kelces' U.K. night out marks Jason and Kylie's first time seeing Taylor's Eras Tour since she and Travis began dating .

But that doesn't mean the former Philadelphia Eagles player—who shares daughters Wyatt , 4, Elliotte , 3, and Bennett , 14 months, with Kylie—hasn't been staying updated on her concerts. He previously declared that the tour's setlist has gotten even better since Taylor added her Tortured Poets Department section.

"I watched videos," Jason told Travis during a May 15 episode of their New Heights podcast, "It looked way more electric for some reason."

Before their family outing in London, Travis and Taylor last spent time together in Europe, taking a getaway car from Paris to Lake Como, Italy, for a romantic vacation  in May. During their trip, the Grammy winner and NFL star enjoyed a leisurely evening stroll and packed on the PDA on a private boat ride .

Of course, those weren't the only enchanting moments from their whirlwind stay in the European resort town. Travis shared that the pair also got to sample some "unbelievable" food .

As he told reporters on the red carpet at his Kelce Jam , "It's the best food and the best views in the world."

But the  New Heights host wasn't only overseas to hang out with Taylor during her down time. He also made sure to catch the "Cruel Summer" singer's May 12 concert in Paris alongside her bestie Gigi Hadid , her boyfriend Bradley Cooper and Philadelphia Eagles defensive line Connor Barwin .

"I got to see a few familiar faces," Travis explained during the May 15 episode of  New Heights . "Connor Barwin was up there—one of our favorite teammates of all time. Then I got to see Gigi and Bradley—BC, Big Coop—we were all in the suite having a blast."

Gushing that he had an "all-around lovely night" despite it being his sixth time watching the show, he added, "I don't know if they're just getting better or if I'm just forgetting how they are. It was electric."

Keep reading for a full breakdown of Taylor and Travis' love story.

July 2023: So, Make the Friendship Bracelets

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce 's love story began in July 2023, when the singer's Eras Tour made a stop at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.

As a huge Swiftie, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end caught the show with hopes of giving Taylor a friendship bracelet with his number on it . However, he failed to complete the pass due to her pre-show rituals.

"I was disappointed that she doesn't talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings," Travis shared on the July 26 episode of his  New Heights podcast. "So, I was a little butt-hurt I didn't get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."

Summer 2023: This Is Him Trying

After publicly recounting his fumble—a move Taylor would later describe as "metal as hell" —Travis decided to shoot his shot and invite the Grammy winner to watch the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium.

"I threw it out there, I threw the ball in her court," he shared on The Pat McAfee Show . "I told her, you know, 'I've seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead and see which one's a little more lit.' So, we'll see what happens in the near future."

August 2023: Enchanted to Meet You

Travis was rocking a mustache—which he debuted in August during training camp—when he was first introduced to Taylor .

As he later noted of the era, "That 'stache and the 87 jersey was pretty iconic there for a little bit, and I had it when I met Taylor for the first time."

September 2023: Sparks Fly

By early September, a source close to the situation told E! News that Travis and Taylor were " texting and talking here and there ."

"It's been very low-key," the insider explained, "as he's been in season."

September 2023: Cheer Captain

Accepting Travis' invite, Taylor joined the athlete's mom Donna Kelce at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him and the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears. After the game, Taylor and Travis were seen packing PDA at a local bar .

Though folklore had it that it was the couple's first in-person meeting, the "Karma" singer later clarified the two had spent a "significant amount of time" getting to know each other beforehand.

As Taylor noted, "We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date."

October 2023: Team Up

As an indication that the relationship was heating up, Taylor brought her squad —including friends Blake Lively , Ryan Reynolds , Sophie Turner , Hugh Jackman , Sabrina Carpenter and Antoni Porowski —to watch the Chiefs play against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

October 2023: It's Nice to Have a Friend

Another sign that Travis could be The 1 ? Taylor started bonding with Brittany Mahomes —the wife of Travis' BFF and teammate Patrick Mahomes —in and outside of NFL games .

October 2023: Welcome to New York

The couple took their romance to TV, making a surprise appearance on the Oct. 14 episode of Saturday Night Live . Their Big Apple takeover also included the after-party for the NBC sketch show and a date night at the Waverly Inn .

November 2023: Karma Is Her Boyfriend

During a bye week, Travis traveled down to Argentina to catch the South American leg of Taylor's Eras Tour. Not only did the NFL star bond with Taylor's dad , Scott Swift , at the Nov. 11 show in Buenos Aires, but he also got a special shoutout from the stage.

" Karma is that guy on the Chiefs ," Taylor sang, "coming straight home to me."

After the show, the Midnights  artist was seen running up to Travis backstage and greeting him with a passionate kiss .

December 2024: Speak Now

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis' games.

"I'm going to see him do what he loves, we're showing up for each other, other people are there and we don't care," she told Time . "The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you're seeing someone."

December 2023: You, Who Charmed Her Dad

The music superstar turned Travis' Dec. 17 game into a family affair, bringing her dad to cheer on her man .

January 2024: All the Midnights

Taylor and Travis spent their first New Year's Eve together, sharing a romantic kiss when the clock struck midnight on Jan. 1.

January 2024: Chosen Family

Continuing to bond with Travis' family, Taylor hung out with his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce at the Chiefs' game against the Buffalo Bills.

January 2024: Saved by the Perfect Kiss

Taylor joined Travis on the football field when the Chiefs won the AFC Championship , a victory that cemented the team's spot in the 2024 Super Bowl . The couple shared a celebratory kiss before exchanging the L-word .

"Tay, I'm gonna enjoy with the guys," he told her. "I love you—so much it's not funny."

February 2024: Super Bowl Champs

The pair locked lips on the field after Travis led the Kansas City Chiefs to victory on Feb. 11, 2024 in Las Vegas.

February 2024: TikTok Official

Taylor posted footage of Travis on social media for the first time Feb. 12, poking fun at how she took her parents clubbing with the athlete after the Super Bowl.

June 2024: Instagram Official

Taylor's first Instagram pic featuring Travis was a selfie of the two with  Prince William and his and wife  Kate Middleton 's eldest kids  Prince George and  Princess Charlotte backstage at the singer's Eras tour show at Wembley Stadium in London.

June 2024: Travis' Eras Tour Stage Debut

While attending his seventh Eras tour concert, and second show at London's Wembley Stadium, the NFL star joined his girlfriend onstage as a backup performer during her performance of "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Mick Jagger, of The Rolling Stones, performs during a concert...

For most of the next two hours, Jagger nearly single-handedly carried the concert. He defied the limitations often associated with his 80-year age and refused to mail in a single verse. Questions about the Stones’ predictability, purpose and joyfulness aside, the physically fit singer continues to take performance as seriously as anyone in the business. He nailed his deliveries, projected enthusiasm, embodied determination and gave a master class in the art of animated dance moves. AARP, the tour sponsor, couldn’t have dreamt up a better advertisement.

Playing the 40th Chicago concert of their career and the first local gig without their late drummer Charlie Watts (who died in 2021), the Stones frequently needed the boost. The impossible task of succeeding Watts fell to the talented Steve Jordan, whose collaborative relationship with guitarist Keith Richards stretches back to the Reagan era. In a possible nod to Watts’ famously keen fashion style, Jordan sported a smart suit and black sunglasses. He knew the parts inside-out, though his approach — slightly busier and heavier, with less swing, glide and refinement than the jazz-leaning Watts — altered the rhythmic structures in ways obvious to anyone with a history of seeing the band.

Still, as they say, the show must go on. Nearly 35 years after they mounted a comeback trek that prompted some critics to crack wise about their ages in the context of rock ‘n’ roll, the Rolling Stones keep on keepin’ on, in spite of internal issues, health setbacks and mortality. In the face of endless, cliched stories that lazily incorporate their song titles (“The Last Time,” “It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll (But I Like It)”). Their persistence — along with their ubiquitous classics and iconic tongue-and-lips logo — have made the Stones the most widely identifiable rock group in history.

In many ways, the Stones are as much a brand as a band, and one that apparently never goes out of style. Modeled by chic young adults, the vast array of apparel hawked on their website gives fashion houses a run for their money. While Taylor Swift inspires headlines about boosting local economies and altering countries’ inflation rates, the Stones remain a box-office juggernaut that regularly grosses upwards of $10 million per gig. This after creating the blueprint for stadium tours in the late ’80s.

Lineup alterations aside, little regarding the Stones has changed since they released their last great album (“Tattoo You”) in 1981. The primary differences today concern the environment in which the group operates. The concept of selling out no longer exists. Rock ‘n’ roll ceded its dominance to hip hop and pop decades ago. Standalone artists overtook groups in terms of star power. Consider: You don’t even need all the fingers on one hand to count how many bands formed since the dawn of the 21st century can fill a hockey arena for two shows.

Indeed, the sense that the imitable combination of sound, interplay and chemistry that transpired on the grand if somewhat minimalist Soldier Field stage might soon be difficult to come by seemed lost on no one — including the last three core Stones themselves and their supporting cast, particularly longtime keyboardist Chuck Leavell and Chicago native Darryl Jones, whose full-bodied bass lines provided a steadying element when other aspects wavered.

Sticking to the center of the stage, tufts of white-and-gray hair struggling to emerge beyond his trademark headband, Richards occasionally appeared reticent and noncommittal. The 80-year-old looked as if he’d slowed. He struck noticeably sour notes on “Start Me Up,” adopted a perfunctory stance during his vocal lead on a flat “Tell Me Straight” and required several songs to find his footing. Yet Richards’ personalized technique — he navigated by feeling, read what the material demanded and reacted accordingly, ignoring timing and placement conventions — corresponded to a manner of disciplined improvisation that can only be shaped over decades of experience.

When it sparked, his rapport with fellow guitarist Ron Wood gave diehards visions of a more youthful past and newer fans a reason to savor the moments when the duo locked into a groove and held tight. Jabbing and scraping their instruments’ strings, Richards and Wood juggled decay and distortion and communicated with scuffed tones, squawking riffs and sharp, twangy fills. The grittiest of their output doubled as rude interjections (“Little T&A”), R&B rejoinders (“Tumbling Dice”), clarion calls (“Jumpin’ Jack Flash”) and booze-soaked lures (“Honky Tonk Women”).

Mick Jagger, of The Rolling Stones, performs during a concert on June 27, 2024, at Soldier Field. (Vincent Alban/Chicago Tribune)

As expected, the Stones leveraged familiarity to their advantage. Along with one fan-selected song (a watered-down “She’s a Rainbow”) and one dusted-off gem (a reggae-tinted “Get Off of My Cloud”), four songs from their recent “Hackney Diamonds” LP cracked a setlist anchored by the same hits the group has featured for eons. Nothing released between 1981 and 2023 made the cut. Yes, people pay big bucks to hear favorites. But why not tackle one of the other seldom-played numbers (“Bite My Head Off,” “Fool to Cry,” “She’s So Cold”) that lost the popular vote? Or toss a couple of known albeit deeper tracks into the mix?

Instead, the energetic and attitudinal antidote to the pervasive politeness stemmed from Jagger. Adorned in black jeans, and modeling an assortment of jackets and shirts, the livewire singer justified the presence of both the stage’s short runway and extended wings. He strutted, waggled, pointed, shimmied, shuffled, summoned, pouted, preened and vogued. His petite hips turned on an imaginary swivel; his loose shoulders flirted with joint dislocation; his restless hands flapped as if trying to shake off a tingling numbness.

Save for the 15 minutes he went backstage and let Richards handle the microphone, Jagger alternated between the roles as singer, cheerleader, MC, jokester — he deemed the evening’s presidential debate “Viagarapalooza” — and storyteller. He touched on the band’s first trip to Chicago in 1964 and fortune at meeting its idols (Muddy Waters, Howlin’ Wolf, Chuck Berry) at Chess Records. He failed to mention that the studio sat about a mile from where he currently stood, or that the Stones recorded a batch of songs while there. Too bad the group didn’t play one of them as a full-circle tribute.

Keith Richards, of The Rolling Stones, performs during a concert on June 27, 2024, at Soldier Field. (Vincent Alban/Chicago Tribune)

The closest the Rolling Stones got to musically acknowledging the city’s blues impact on their fare arrived during a tease of “Sweet Home Chicago” amid a harmonica-laden run-through of “Midnight Rambler.” The circa-1969 tune emerged as one of the few that hinted at its original menace. Another, a long-fuse reading of “Gimme Shelter,” also of ‘69 vintage, benefitted from the fiery participation and soulful blare of backup vocalist Chanel Haynes.

“War, children,” Jagger and Haynes sang, conscious of the ominous warnings that followed. “It’s just a shot away.” For the briefest instant, all the years and wrinkles melted away, and the Stones were again ragtag British dissidents spreading and sounding an urgent alarm amid an ever-tumultuous global climate. Godspeed.

Setlist from Soldier Field June 27: “Start Me Up” “Get Off of My Cloud” “It’s Only Rock ’n’ Roll (But I Like It)” “Angry” “She’s a Rainbow” “Wild Horses” “Mess It Up” “Tumbling Dice” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” “Tell Me Straight” “Little T&A” “Happy” “Sympathy for the Devil” “Honky Tonk Women” “Midnight Rambler” “Gimme Shelter” “Paint It Black” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”

Bruce Springsteen setlist 2024: Every song he sang at Phoenix tour relaunch

lecrae tour setlist 2023

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band came to downtown Phoenix on Tuesday, March 19, to relaunch their world tour cut short in 2023 on the advice of Springsteen’s doctor as the star was treated for peptic ulcer disease.

The Footprint Center concert also marked Springsteens's return to metro Phoenix for the first time since 2016, when he brought the River Tour to that venue , then called Talking Stick Resort Arena.

Unlike last time, Springsteen and his E Street Band weren’t here to revisit a two-record set by dusting off all 20 songs . This night allowed for a much more evenly distributed journey through his catalog, from his first album, “Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J.,” through 2022’s “Only the Strong Survive,” a collection of soul and R&B covers.

The March 2024 tour relaunch was classic Springsteen, stretching the boundaries of what it means to prove it all night while chasing moments of transcendence that can range from deeply moving to profoundly silly with the 18-member E Street Band, including the Valley's own Nils Lofgren as part of the three-guitar army, firing on all cylinders.

And the show turned out to be as great, and maybe even better, than fans could have hoped for, as the two trios mixed and matched songs — and, most wonderfully, occasionally shared vocals — during the course of a thoroughly entertaining co-headlining set that touched on (at least parts of) some 30 songs.

Fans who are planning to catch this tour — also featuring fellow ’90s R&B favorites Mya, 702 and Total — as it continues through other parts of the country, before winding to a close at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Aug. 18, should expect to have a ball.

That’s because, only one night into the run, this SWV-Xscape package is shaping up to be the R&B roadshow to beat in 2024 .

One could feel the energy of the occasion well before they got to the Pavilion, as cars inched along Kirker Pass Road and passengers prepped for the show with shared laughter, smiles and passionate vocal work. Even though the traffic was horrendous, causing the Pavilion to use its overflow parking and shuttle service, people still seemed to be in a great mood (even though, in many cases, it caused them to miss some/many of the acts who were listed lower on the bill).

Yet, SWV and Xscape would make dealing with the traffic and parking issues feel very much worthwhile as they two acts combined for a performance that felt so different — and so much more vibrant — then what we often get with co-headlining treks.

Instead of the usual approach of the top two artists simply putting on their own sets of music — and perhaps rotating who gets to close the show each night — these two iconic R&B trios completely sewed their sets together and constantly volleyed the spotlight between them.

lecrae tour setlist 2023

Xscape — featuring Kandi Burruss, Tameka “Tiny” Harris and Tamika Scott — would appear for a few minutes, running through such favorites as “Feels So Good,” “Can’t Hang” and “Keep On, Keepin’ On.” Then SWV — consisting of  Tamara “Taj” George, Cheryl “Coko” Gamble and Leanne “Lelee” Lyons — would pop up and croon through the likes of “I’m So Into You” and “Right Here.”

Of course, this kind of a show doesn’t work — at all — if the groups don’t jell well onstage. Fortunately, SWV and Xscape songs flow together like a masterful ’90s mixtape and, just as importantly, the two teams seem to like each other and enjoy combining forces.

It’s the latter that may surprise viewers of the 2023’s “SWV & Xscape: The Queens of R&B,” a reality TV mini-series on the Bravo channel that focused on the two acts as they prepped for a big tour. The two sides had a massive falling out during the show — fueled by the regular celebrity trappings of ego and trash talk — which left viewers with the impression that SWV and Xscape probably wouldn’t be sending each other Christmas cards anytime soon, let alone hitting the road together.

Xscape's Tameka "Tiny" Harris, from left, Kandi Burruss and Tamika Scott perform on stage during the Queens of R&B Tour at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord, Calif., on Thursday, June 27, 2024. (Jose Carlos Fajardo/Bay Area News Group)

The two sides eventually talked things out, clearing the air as well as the runway to embarking on the road with the Queens of R&B Tour in 2024.

The result is that fans can now witness a show that has so much going for it — from a two-level stage that offers up plenty of zippy video elements to an energetic dance team to a steady supply of cool wardrobe changes.

Yet, none of that is nearly as important as the amazing vocal work that you get to hear during the course of the set. All six of star vocalists sound great, nicely conveying the same type of emotion and conviction that fans first enjoyed way back on their respective debut albums (Xscape’s “Hummin’ Comin’ at ‘Cha” in 1993, SWV’s “It’s About Time” in 1992).

They sounded terrific in their own individual spotlights, as Xscape relived such triumphs as “Who Can I Run To” and “My Little Secret” and SWV brought back the likes of “Right Here” and “You’re Always on My Mind.”

Yet, the most memorable moments came when the two vocal crews took the stage together, with six voices joining in glorious harmony to lift up 13,000 fans on the Clark sisters powerful gospel number “You Brought the Sunshine (Into My Life),” the gorgeous Xscape ballad “The Arms of the One Who Loves You” and the fun show-closing cover of Lil’ Kim’s “Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix).”

A year of the Eras Tour: A look back at Taylor Swift's record-breaking show

lecrae tour setlist 2023

One year ago, the crowd in Glendale, Arizona, erupted into a massive cheer in State Farm Stadium when Lesley Gore's "You Don't Own Me" began playing and the backdrop screen transitioned to a countdown clock starting at 2:24.

None of the Swifties who traveled from all over the state of Arizona and the nation, dressed to the nines as one of her 10 eras, knew the tour would be three-plus hours. The fan screaming next to me from Pennsylvania who bought a ticket on StubHub.com for about $400 didn't know that we would go era-by-era through a 44-song track list. I don't think the singer, herself, knew when she hid inside a cleaning cart wheeled backstage, that her show would lead to a billion-dollar enterprise, Time magazine person of the year and an inundation of friendship bracelets. I didn't know the behemoth success following the Eras Tour star would send me packing from Phoenix to Nashville, Tennessee, to become the inaugural Taylor Swift reporter.

Swift's dancers flowed onto the stage through fog with pink, purple and orange parachute flaps. A compilation of songs from Swift's 10 albums — or eras — played as "it's been a long time coming" boomed into the stadium. Goosebumps covered the arms of thousands and tears cascaded down cheeks as the flaps revealed Miss Americana rising to begin her "Lover" set.

Eighty three shows later, here's a look back at the unprecedented tour that set a Guinness World Record . And fair warning, like her tour this article is an extensive rollercoaster.

Swept up in the hype, the world became Taylor Nation. Glendale, "Erazona ," was renamed "Swift City." Las Vegas lit up its arches in all 10 era colors. Arlington, Texas, dubbed one of its streets "Taylor Swift Way." Tampa, Florida, gave Swift a key to the city and invited her to be an honorary mayor. Houston renamed its venue "NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version)."

Nashville, Tennessee, dedicated a bench in Centennial Park to the hometown singer. A Philadelphia radio station, 96.5 FM (WTDY), renamed itself Ninety-Swift-Five W-T-A-Y. Gov. Philip D. Murphy dubbed the "Taylor Swift ham, egg and cheese sandwich" the "state sandwich of New Jersey." Chicago lit up the top of Willis Tower in her album colors. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey renamed his city "Swiftie-apolis," and Santa Clara, California, Mayor Lisa Gillmor switched the city's name to "Swiftie Clara."

Internationally, fans in Brazil caught the attention of Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Paes and Father Omar, the rector of the Christ the Redeemer Sanctuary, who arranged to project a  "Junior Jewels" inspired T-shirt  onto the Christ the Redeemer statue. Flinders Station in Melbourne , Australia, flashed a wallpaper glaze of lights to welcome the Eras star. Singapore painted the Marina Bay Sands Resort all colors of vibrant lights.

It's a cruel summer with you

All four seasons met the fifteen dancers, four backup singers, six bandmates and hundreds of production and crew members, adding unpredictable weather to the mix. Mother Nature danced in a lightning storm to "Fearless" in Tampa and made the song "Midnight Rain" a reality in Nashville . Rain poured through the open-roofed stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where Swift pushed puddles forming on her piano . The Swiftie fandom created its own natural phenomenon in Seattle after a seismologist registered a 2.3 magnitude earthquake on her Richter scale.

The intense heat in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, caused Swift to throw water bottles to fans and temporarily halt her show. Ana Clara Benevides Machado, 23, passed out and died of heat exhaustion. The heartbreaking news prompted changes at the Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos to allow fans access to water. Swift invited Benevides' family to her concert in São Paulo.

I want you to think of the memories made

Swift incorporated custom messages into each tour stop. At her international destinations, she welcomed fans in their custom languages. "Bienvenidos al Eras Tour," she said in Mexico City before hoisting her hands in the air. While donning either her pink or blue guitar before the title track of "Lover," she commonly announced the stadium attendance often record-breaking.

Outside of stadiums, thousands "Taylorgated," or showed up without a ticket to hear Swift's beats and dance on the concrete. Tens of thousands more logged on to watch livestreams from fans with tickets who agreed to spend concert time holding up their mobile devices in a tricep-burning position.

The number of viewers would jump before the "Champagne Problems" speech and acoustic set. To keep things fun and interesting each night, fans filled out "Swiftball" ballots guessing the singer's outfits from four "Lover" bodysuits and accompanying "The Man" jackets, three "Fearless" dresses, two "Evermore" dresses, six "Speak Now" gowns, three bedazzled "22" shirts, five "Folkore" dresses, four "1989" crop top and skirt combos, six "Midnights" T-shirt dresses, three "Midnight Rain" body suits and four "Karma" faux fur jackets. To see how many times the Eras star wore each outfit, check out the "Data Swiftie."

For fans who wanted to get alerts to watch the shows without having to calculate time changes, Swift Alert became the app for that .

Double clap, audience chants

A secret language formed between fans and Swift as new traditions popped up along the tour. The four lines fans screamed at the top of their lungs, no matter the city or country, were "cause shade never made anybody less gay" in "You Need To Calm Down," "what a shame she's f----d in the head" in "Champagne Problems," "f--- the patriarchy" in "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)" and "don't call me kid, don't call me baby" in "Illicit Affairs."

Swift started every show strong with a very important question: Did her fans know the bridge to "Cruel Summer?" "Prove it!" she'd yell at some stops and the audience would, every single time, bellow, "I'm drunk in the back of the car." For "The Archer," fans printed and dispersed signs that read, "We will stay," to hold up when Swift asks, "Who would stay?"

In the "Fearless" era, fans double clapped with "13" drawn on the back of their hands in the middle of the bridge to "You Belong With Me." A trend of marriage proposals during "Love Story" picked up during the 2024 leg with partners popping the question as Swift sang, "He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring."

During "Marjorie," Swifties turned their phone flashlights on in tribute to Swift's grandma. Fans started timing the standing ovation and ear-shattering applause after "Champagne Problems." Livestreamers, like Tess Bohne , would display a clock and fans guessed if the cheers would surpass one, two or three minutes.

A snake shape slithered through the light-up braceklets handed out before the show at the start of the "Reputation" era. Fans yelled "1, 2, 3, let's go b----" before the first verse of "Delicate" as Swift counts on her fingers. Later in the song, Swift sings, "Do the girls back home touch you like I do?" and fans reply, "No, they don't." On rare occasion, Swift would let out a three-note riff during her "Don't Blame Me" belt.

After rereleasing her third album, the "Speak Now" singer added "Long Live" to the set list, bringing the total to 45 tracks. In the first verse when she croons "the crowds and stands went wild," the crowd indeed went wild.

In the "Red" era, Swift crowned a deserving fan with a black fedora during "22." They were typically children, but one adult Swiftie was crowned in Melbourne . Dancer Kameron Saunders had the only speaking line on the tour besides Swift during her song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." He said "like ever" at the American shows, but when the tour went international, he switched up the phrase each night. And yes, we track that. Swift knew all too well each crowd had "10 minutes to spare," and she played her longest song, in total, for about 14 hours.

She was only tied to the "Invisible String" for five shows and traded the opening "Folklore" era number to "The 1" in Arlington, before news of her split from actor Joe Alwyn . She brought "Invisible String" back for one night in Nashville because the Tennessee capital is home to Centennial Park. Nashvillians also noticed that Swift switched a note during "The 1" lyric "you meet a woman on the internet and take her home." She kept the key change for every succeeding show.

Right before the first lyric of "Style" during the "1989" set, fans began a tradition of saying, "What time is it?" to which the singer replied, "Midnight, you come and pick me up." In Sydney, Australia, a "Blank Space" chant from the 1989 World Tour was reborn and repeated in Singapore. Taylor Nation, Swift's marketing team, tweeted that it hopes fans at every tour stop going forward shout their city. In Philadelphia, a "Bad Blood" remix originated when Swift noticed a security guard hassling a fan . "She's fine. She wasn't doing anything. Hey! Stop! Hey, stop!" became the cool thing to say after, "It's so sad to think about the good times, you and I." Fans also incorporated a Kendrick Lamar line from the "Bad Blood" remix: "You forgive, you forget, but you never let it go."

And then came the surprise set . (More on her collaborators and announcements below.) Each night, Swift performed one song on the guitar and one on the piano that she hadn't yet performed on the tour. That is until 2024, when she added mashups and threw out her rule of never repeating songs. At the end of the set, she swan dives into a hole in the stage. Fans later caught a red light that turned green to signal it was safe to jump.

After meeting her at "Midnights," fans sang Jack Antonoff's version of "Anti-Hero." When Swift sings "tale as old as time," the crowd chimes in, "Taylor, you'll be fine." Tyler Conroy made a viral video of him screaming , "Where you going Taylor?" during "Bejeweled" before she sings, "I'm going out tonight," and the trend caught on like a blaze ripping through the Lover house. Finally, after Swift changed the lyrics to, "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs," in Argentina with her boyfriend Travis Kelce in the crowd, that became the standard for fans. She has only sang it that way four times, when he was in attendance in Buenos Aires, Sydney and Singapore.

If you would direct your attention to the back screen

In addition to boosting economies everywhere she went, Swift created an abundance of news. She announced "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" in Nashville. She announced a new version of "Midnights" and premiered the "Karma (Remix)" music video featuring Ice Spice as the upstart rapper joined Swift in East Rutherford, New Jersey. She released "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" right before her Kansas City, Missouri, stop and then debuted the "I Can See You" music video starring Taylor Lautner and Joey King who were at the show. Lautner backflipped on the catwalk.

It might have seemed strange that Swift ended the American leg of her tour on a Wednesday in Los Angeles, but not to the eagle-eyed Swiftie who realized the date was 8/9. That's the day she announced the rerecording of her fifth album, "1989 (Taylor's Version)." The album came out during her break before her Argentina tour dates. It topped the Billboard charts and allowed her to bypass Elvis for the most weeks with an album at No. 1.

Then, she announced her 11th album, "The Tortured Poets Department," at the Grammys after winning her 13th career award. At her tour stops in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, she revealed there were four total versions of "Tortured Poets" and told fans they would get a different bonus track on each one : "The Manuscript," "The Bolter," "The Albatross" and "The Black Dog."

Welcome to the acoustic set

One of the most anticipated portions of an Eras Tour show is the acoustic set. At most of the concerts, she only spoke before the guitar song. In rare instances, she tested the microphone before the piano song and made an announcement.

Occasionally she invited collaborators to join her onstage. Marcus Mumford surprised fans in Las Vegas to play "Cowboy Like Me." Her co-producer and close friend Aaron Dessner from The National joined her six times on stage, in Tampa (twice), Nashville, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati and Santa Clara. Jack Antonoff came out to play "Getaway Car" in New Jersey. Maren Morris did a "You All Over Me" duet in Chicago. When their opening acts were canceled for weather, Gracie Abrams performed "I Miss You, I'm Sorry" and Sabrina Carpenter sang a dyad mashup of "White Horse" and "Coney Island."

Some of the surprise songs came with hidden messages. Fans speculated she sang "Bigger Than The Whole Sky" as an ode to a fan who died , "End Game" to Travis Kelce watching her show from the VIP tent and "Gold Rush" as a congratulations to Jason Kelce for retiring. She has performed "You're On Your Own Kid" five times, in Tampa, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Tokyo and Singapore.

And he never thinks of me, except when I'm on TV

To close out the first year of the Eras Tour, Swift released the third film version of her concert to streaming service Disney+. This version included "Cardigan" and four acoustic songs: "Maroon," "Death By A Thousand Cuts," "You Are In Love" and "I Can See You."

The second version came out on Swift's birthday, Dec. 13. Fans could rent it for 48 hours at a price of $19.89, and it included "The Archer," "Wildest Dreams" and "Long Live" cut from the original movie.

The original movie was released Oct. 13, in the middle of the Hollywood strikes. Swift did what studios and streaming services were unable to: make a deal with SAG-AFTRA. She worked with the unions and was able to market and show her movie how she saw fit. The film made more than $250 million globally and got her nominated for a Golden Globe award .

Would you be interested in one more song?

If you're still with me on this walk down Eras Tour Lane, it's important to make one final note before the tour resumes in Paris in May. Before her magnum opus took off higher than the "Bad Blood" flames, Swift chose "Mirrorball" and "Tim McGraw" to be her very first surprise songs. She ended year one with the same two songs, but flipped the instruments she played them on in a full-circle moment.

Her new album will come out April 19 and the full Eras Tour is streaming on Disney+, which begs the question: What her show will look like come Paris? She has a two-month break before 69 shows scheduled for Europe and North America. She also has two rerecords left to release: "Reputation (Taylor's Version)" and her self-titled debut album.

If there's one thing any Swiftie knows, it's Taylor Swift's ability to make news and create lasting memories through her record-shattering tour. What a first year; on to year two!
