All aboard! A tiki-themed party boat is returning to the river next month, offering scenic rides along the Ohio River.

SS Tiki Tours is the latest boat to hit the Ohio River, offering a new and unique way to enjoy some drinks and food with friends.

The boat is BYOB, so you can bring your own beer, wine and liquor. The boat does not provide ice so bring a cooler to keep those drinks chilled.

The cruises are customizable, you just need to let the captain know where you want to go or anchor. Riders can take a 2 hour sightseeing cruise or stay longer if you want to enjoy Reds fireworks of listen to a concert on the water this summer.

The boat does have a sound system on board to play whatever music you like. There is a bathroom on board for longer trips.

All of the tours start and end at the Newport Hooters. Riders can also get 10 percent off their meal at Hooters by showing their booking receipt to their server.

Here in Ohio, there's no shortage of scenery. For proof of this, simply hop in the car and embark on a scenic road trip . One of our favorites is the Ohio River Scenic Byway, which follows one of the state's most iconic waterways. The byway makes its way across southern Ohio, spanning 34 counties and stretching 452 miles. Of course, the route continues beyond Ohio, but we're partial to the stretch that's found in the Buckeye State. Here's more on why the Ohio River Scenic Byway is one of the most beautiful drives you can take.

The Ohio River has played a significant role in the culture and history of Ohio. Therefore, it's no surprise that the road following the river has earned the distinction of being one of America's Byways.

To travel this storied byway is to immerse yourself in breathtaking scenery.

There are many points of interest along the way, so be sure to take your time to appreciate all that the byway has to offer!

One popular stop is the Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge. Encompassing 3,300 acres, this landmark is a wildlife enthusiast's paradise. The best wildlife viewing times are in the early morning or dusk, so try to plan accordingly!

There's even a nature trail that will take you through the preserve, offering a wonderful place to stretch your legs.

Another noteworthy stop is the beautiful Forked Run State Park. It's located in the heart of Appalachia, and a great place to spot riverboats, waterfalls, and wildlife.

Last, but certainly not least, Chilo Lock Park is worth a stop. For interpretive displays and hands-on activities involving the river's history, there's no better destination. Plus, it's the site of an old U.S. Army Corps of Engineers wicket dam.
