One of the most popular cruises is the two-hour island cruise, which departs from Cong or Oughterard and stops over on Inchagoill Island, an important monastic site in Ireland. You will get a guided tour of the island, where you can see the ruins of two churches, one dating back to the 5th century and the other to the 12th century. You will also see an ogham stone with an inscription in Latin and Irish, which is one of the oldest inscriptions in Ireland. The island also offers stunning views of Lough Corrib and the surrounding mountains.
Another option is the one-hour history cruise, which departs from Ashford Castle or Lisloughrey Pier and sails along the lakeshore, passing by castles, manor houses, and islands. You will hear a commentary on board about the history and legends of Lough Corrib, as well as its wildlife and ecology. You will also see some of the filming locations of The Quiet Man, a classic movie starring John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara that was shot in Cong in 1951.

Our Cruises in 2024
Corrib Cruises offer lake cruises every day of the year on beautiful Lough Corrib. The morning cruise departs from Ashford Castle and Lisloughrey Pier and is an excellent way to see the many sights along the lakeshore. A commentary is provided throughout the voyage.
During the summer months there is also a two hour afternoon sailing which stops over on the historic island of Inchagoill. The cruise includes a guided tour of the island.
Cruises can also be arranged for groups at any time of the year.
You can book your cruise directly on this website up until one hour before sailing. We accept telephone bookings up until sailing time but please book early to avoid disappointment. We accept payment online by credit cards, debit cards and Paypal through a secure server.
If you do not wish to book online you can contact us directly on 087 994 6380 to make a booking over the phone. We can accept credit cards and debit cards over the phone.
