From its perch high above iconic Waikiki Beach, the stylish lounge offers guests both indoor and outdoor seating among posh yet comfortable chaise lounges and offers amazing panoramic ocean views from an expansive deck overlooking sparkling white sands. Signature Sunset Celebration

And as nighttime approaches, the “Signature Sunset Celebration” is an early evening reception that provides much-needed rejuvenation and relaxation after a busy day of activity. As well as offering a gorgeous, gourmet spread of  pupu  (hors d’oeuvre), there is a full offering of cocktails, a specialty draft bar by Kona Brewing Company complete with seasonal brews, other spirits by local distillers, and mixology specialties created exclusively for Voyager 47. Many nights even feature special appearances and “talk story” sessions with local artisans, farmers, brew masters, and distillers, who feature their products among those being enjoyed.

HONOLULU – Perched above world-famous Waikiki Beach, the brand-new Voyager 47 Club Lounge at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort will warmly welcome its first guests July 1, 2018. Exclusive to resort guests staying in Voyager 47 Club level rooms and all suites, the premier club lounge provides a serene, oceanfront retreat to enjoy complimentary, locally sourced bites as well as premium coffee, craft beer and specialty cocktails. The venue can also be booked for private events, offering an inimitable setup with sweeping views of Diamond Head, iconic surf breaks and stunning sunsets.

“Since 1947, Outrigger has provided the best of Hawaii hospitality with its stellar service and authentic aloha – our Voyager 47 Club Lounge is a new way for us to provide enhanced experiences for our guests that make their voyage with us even more memorable,” said Revell Newton, general manager at Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. “As a premium beachfront brand – we’re conscious to make smart environmental choices; our Voyager 47 Club Lounge is serving-up local ingredients and our new Cintas uniforms are made from textiles created with plastic bottles diverted from landfills.”

Voyager 47 Club Lounge for Outrigger Guests Located on the resort’s second floor, with unobstructed views of Diamond Head – guests can start their day with premium Kona coffee and breakfast bites including fresh local fruits and eggs, pastries, homemade jam and more. To help plan the day, a dedicated club concierge will be available for Voyager 47 Club Lounge guests to personally assist with anything from recommendations to reservations for activities, to eateries and cultural programs. Guests can return for the sunset to indulge in Outrigger’s locally inspired tasting menu with pupu platters and specialty draft beer bar – featuring seasonal brews plus local wines. – FOOD // Another new feature is the Voyager 47 Club Lounge, available for guests who reserve a suite or a Voyager 47 Club Room. At first, I was amazed that the hotel had sacrificed such a beautiful beachfront spot overlooking Waikiki Beach, with unmatched Diamond Head view, to create this lounge with both indoor and outdoor (terrace) seating. Once I enjoyed the wonderful island style breakfast (every day from 6 am to 9:30 am) with three different kinds of fresh fruits, pancakes, French toast, breakfast wraps, oatmeal, pastries and the fantastic premium local Kona coffee, I understood its real function: the Voyager 47 Club Lounge is all about getting into the aloha vibe from the moment you wake up, until the morning the sun goes down beyond the horizon. –

It still doesn’t feel like home. It feels like paradise.

Enjoyed a one week stay at OWB last week of April 2021. Booked ocean view but accepted upgrade offer for ocean front and landed a balcony on the 3rd floor (not Voyager club) which overlooks Duke’s patio and the pool in addition to the beach. If you are adverse to noise, I wouldn’t recommend a lower floor OF room because there is live music at Duke’s daily until 10PM and you can hear the ocean waves all night, both of which WE enjoyed. We really enjoyed the amazing ocean views. Room was well maintained with traditional décor, comfy bed and pillows, and housekeeping did an awesome job daily. There is a safe, a refrigerator, 4 cup drip coffeemaker, huge closet, and lots of drawers. It is located right in between the Westin Moana Surfrider and the pink Royal Hawaiian resort, so you can easily access their bars, restaurants and public beach services as well. We did not use the pool but it doesn’t open until 9 and worse, you can’t use that side of the building to reach the beach or the showers at all since they have it closed off. But you can get clean towels there daily 9-9. It is a very small pool, usually full of kids, and there is no hot tub. We mostly visited the beach and beach activities desk where you can rent a setup of 2 chairs and umbrella set up for $63 per day charged to your room. The desk opens at 8 but on busy days you will want to be in line before then to ensure you get one or can select your location. They also have surfboards and floats among other water activity options. If you want to buy your own float they are less than $10 at the ABC store across the street from the hotel. Waikiki beach is probably they clearest, cleanest critter free beach I’ve visited. It is shallow a long way out and aside from a very few rocky areas is very kind to your feet. Alcohol is not technically permitted on HI beaches but you can discreetly bring a cooler bag with cans from the ABC store and use tumblers or plastic cups without any issues. We dined a few times at Hula Grill and Duke’s and both were good though resort pricey. Ordered lunch from Duke’s Paku take out window once until we discovered Pais Deli which was excellent for a beach day lunch. Did not care for the menu at Sunshine Shack coffee bar, and instead frequented the Honolulu Coffee shop in front of Moana Surfrider right next door for a better selection of drinks and breakfast bites each morning, and they open at 6 whereas Sunshine didn’t open until 7. Tip: nearly all coffee shops nearby can get long lines after 7 so get out early to beat the crowds. Overall opinion of the resort, we loved it and we would return if the price was right. We got a nice deal due to slow travel due to covid but at the end of the day I would not pay the “normal rates” for this resort. I do believe they may be planning to renovate later this year as I saw some low, low rates mid to late summer. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Rental car: Highly recommend using HUI to rent cars by the hour or day. You don’t pay for parking, gas, or insurance with HUI. There are half a dozen available in the parking garage of the International Marketplace across from the resort. Just be sure to reserve at least a week or more prior to your trip to ensure you can get a car at the times you want one. There is a Hertz in the Hyatt a block from OWB but we cancelled that reservation and used HUI instead once we determined paying resort parking would have made it cost more. We also used Uber or Lyft and a taxi a few times. Excursions we did: Island Circle Tour – it was OK but I would not pay more than $100 for one (check Groupon). There are numerous operators but all essentially do the same stops. Experience Nutridge luau – awesome, highly recommend, 50 people or less intimate luau experience. Makani Catamaran – we did a 2 hour daytime sail and it was fun but definitely wished we had more time. Diamondhead hike – 2 mile 570 foot elevation hike, it is a tough hike but worth the views at the top. Kualoa Ranch tour – we did a jungle adventure tour. This and the catamaran were included on the Go City Oahu pass we had. Restaurants off site we tried: Tommy Bahama – get there 2-5 for a great happy hour food and drink specials. Waikiki Brewing – the one downtown has excellent bbq plates. Yardhouse – great food and the best collection of local brews (and non). Appetitto – get there 3-6 for a great happy hour food and drink specials. Maui Brewing – really good burger but just OK beers. Fumi’s shrimp – part of the island tour and REALLY good. Beware if you want to try Romy’s Shrimp on your own as they have a 45 minute wait for a simple shrimp plate, so either call ahead or try Fumi’s instead. The locals call Giovanni’s shrimp truck a tourist trap so we didn’t try it. We felt the same about Masumoto’s shaved ice. COVID NOTES as of April 2021: Make sure you check and follow the COVID rules on Hawaii’s travel website. The line at the airport to be checked in with your results and QR code was LONG, nearly an hour, when we arrived on American Airlines. United Airlines performed this check prior to arriving in HI so those passengers got to head straight to baggage claim. We needed to log into our Safe Travels account at the hotel and also for one of our tours during our stay so be prepared for that. If you plan to travel interstate be sure to check the interstate guidelines as another test may be required to enter certain islands.

This hotel is my favorite hotel now! I'm Kamaaina (resident of Oahu) and have chosen to do my Staycations here. It has excellent service from your arrival with the warm greetings of the Valet, to the front desk who make sure you are comfortable with the room you are staying in, to the housekeepers who keep the rooms sanitized & well supplied, and then the warm Aloha extended on your departure! There's a pool and the beach is right there too! They have one of the best restaurants- Dukes! It has live entertainment from morning till night. They have great food and a breakfast buffet on the weekends. The hotel is also centralized to some of the best shopping malls in Waikiki. You gotta stay there!

This is my 3rd visit since November. I'm Kamaaina and love going there for Staycations! It's my favorite hotel to stay at now! Excellent service from the arrival, the Valet Staff who are so friendly & care for your property, to the front desk workers who make sure you are happy with your room, then housekeeping that makes sure everything is clean & well supplied and then the departing staff that make you feel appreciated where you want to return! The hotel has great shops and restaurants. I love Dukes which has an excellent menu especially the breakfast buffet and live music! So much Aloha showed on the property!!!

Where do I begin? Had one of the best trips of my life to Oahu and the Outrigger recently. It really is such a great hotel with amazing views and staff. Still in disbelief at how the ocean was literally right outside my room every morning and night! Here are some of my main points: PRO’s: -Amazing ocean front views; picture perfect all day long -Very friendly staff -Housekeeping was top notch -Safety was a priority re: Covid. No concerns about contracting the virus. -Food in the restaurants is stellar. Highly recommend the breakfast burrito. Drinks are overpriced...but that’s Oahu for you. -Beds are so comfortable! -high tech elevators. Very secure. -Great location CON’s: -Valet is required, and expensive, if you have a car. I recommend not having one. $40/night is ridiculous. -Walls are thin. We had neighbors partying every night who couldn’t care less about keeping us up. Not the hotel’s fault though; people are simply rude, selfish and unkind.

We stayed in this hotel for our honeymoon and were upgraded to a partial ocean view and given a bottle of Prosecco - so the customer service was awesome! The location is great - I know a lot of people say staying in Waikiki is "touristy" and "loud" but our room on the 8th floor was quiet and in a very convenient location. All of the restaurants around it are fantastic, including Duke's on the street level. it's right on the beach but also has a pool if that is more your thing. The pool is right on the beach as well so you can lounge poolside and take a dip in the ocean. I really enjoyed our stay here, only docked 1 star because the room was small and the finishes are outdated (yellowing tub and counter etc.) but you're not in Hawaii to stay in your room, anyway!
