Hello @User @Pale Rider @John_S The Rohloff version is lovely and probably as well the best bang buck Rohloff bike you can get on the market to include everything you need - SON-28, top racks, Magura HS22, chainglider, nice tyres and andra rims etc. I have seen prices in Germany go on sale at end of year before the new season paint job for around £1500.

Of the 2 genesis bike I would probably go for the TdF 10 and upgrade the brakes to a hydraulic discs. Unless you are planning on wanting to charge phones and other accessories whilst riding in which case a dynamo and converter are useful although can be slow compared to using a battery pack and recharging it every few days from the mains.

It's handy to hear that the most important things are low gears plus having good brakes. As these two bikes are equal in gear ratio, 19 through 109 gear inches, albeit the Tour de Fer 10 is a 3x9 speed whereas the TdF 20 is a 3x10 speed and given that they both have the same Promax Render-R disc brakes would it be worth considering the following?
