We just concluded our 12-day journey in magnificent Turkey! We were an entourage of 12 travelers with my 89-year old mother, family members and friends. True Blue Travel Agency was our tour provider, highly recommended by my two friends who were also its previous clients. I later discover other friends and acquaintances were also managed by True Blue in their recent trips to Turkey. True Blue booked us in centrally-located and well-furnished hotels, including a cave hotel in Cappadocia. How do I describe our trip? Definitely a Turkish Delight! The intrinsic beauty of Turkey was shared by our tour coordinator and co-owner of True Blue, Eyup Karapinar. He was our guide and he enlightened us on the rich history of Turkey from ancient civilization to the Byzantine Period, Ottoman Empire until the founding of the Republic of Turkey. We marveled at the architecture of the ruins, mosques and palaces we visited and Eyup pointed out the details, intricate mosaics, symbols and sophisticated engineering then. He guided us on how to imagine the way of life then and why cities were built in such areas. Each day was a day of surprises. We were brought not only to the sites but also to restaurants which served authentic Turkish cuisine. We feasted on the different flavors of the regions and savored the freshest ingredients made more delectable by olives, tomatoes and olive oil. Unforgettable was savoring the home-cooked and farm-to-table dishes of its famous cook Hatice Mercan, who welcomed us to her restaurant. A heavenly experience it was, food for the soul and our senses! True Blue was not remiss in offering us optional activities such as the Turkish bath, Whirling Dervish Ceremony, hot air balloon ride, and an evening of varying Turkish dances including belly-dancing. Another main attraction was the various artisan Turkish products. We were brought to a carpet factory to learn and see how the tradition of carpet weaving continues to be done by hand, and a pottery workshop to meet the renowned potter master Saban who patiently taught us how to create ceramic pottery, which was not as simple as it seems. We also visited a leather factory where we had a private viewing of a fashion show. Turkey is a shopping haven. There are irresistible buys with exquisite designs - bed and table linen, towels, carpets, ceramics, lamps, jewelry and leather items. Must buys too are the Turkish tea, coffee, Turkish delights, baklava and spices. Eyup wisely guided us where to buy the well crafted and value for money products found in the hidden alleys and nooks. We were not disappointed. True Blue took care of us so well, especially my octogenarian mother. Eyup patiently found one of us who got lost in the Grand Bazaar labyrinth, without use of a mobile phone. He also accommodated all our requests without any hesitation. He is one guide with a good sense of humor. I highly recommend True Blue to anyone who is in for an adventurous trip, open to gastronomic experiences, appreciative of history and art, and indulge in shopping.

Just finished an amazing and totally enjoyable 12 day trip to Turkey with our excellent guide Eyup Karapinar ! We visited Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pergamon, Pamukkale, Sardis and Ephesus - stayed in very good hotels, including charming boutique hotels - like one carved out of a cave, and another that was a former olive oil factory ! We had delicious local and traditional food all the way, including a wonderful lunch buffet in a farm where they make their own olive oil and grow all the ingredients used in the 20 buffet dishes they served us !!! For the Catholic in us, the visits to the ruins of the ancient cities where the first Christians lived were nothing less than awe inspiring ! We saw beautiful 6th century frescoes in the caves where they hid from the Romans, and we even walked and climbed down through an underground city where the first Christians in the 6-9th centuries cleverly built air shafts and carved out from stone their church altar, dining table, food and wine storage and other necessities while actually living underground ! Hearing Sunday mass in Ephesus in the house where the Blessed Mother spent her last days, visiting St John the Apostle’s grave, and actually walking on the same land where St Paul and Alexander the Great had walked ... just leaves me speechless with joy ... For the adventurer in us, watching the hot air balloons while having coffee on our hotel room balcony was already a great experience - but taking our own hot air balloon ride the next day was nothing short of magical ! Istanbul is a wonderful city - full of energy, full of historical sites, full of great shopping - European but with a modern Islamic vibe that is uniquely Turkish ! Eyup, Ylmaz and the True Blue Agency are the dream team of travel planners and guides ! Through them we learned to love Turkey, it’s history and culture ! Thank you Eyup for sharing your deep knowledge of the cities and their history with us, for your extraordinary care of us, for your great hospitality and for showing us how warm and friendly Turkish people are ! We will surely recommend True Blue Agency to our friends and family and will certainly visit Turkey again !

My visit to Turkey was a totally unexpected but very awesome surprise. The visit had everything. From visits at historical sites in Istanbul, Ephesus, and Cappadocia which was a great revelation to how rich the culture and history and meaning Turkey had vis a vis the rest of the world. Aside from that great shopping and bargains as well. And a Foodie tour to top it it off. All of this of course made possible by our tour provider True Blue and they're great staff. They had everything covered and the experienced was like being whisked through an ideal vacation. I can't say enough about their A Class Service and warmth. It was like traveling through Turkey with a very close friend. I'll definitely be back as there are infinite more places to visit and will definitely make sure to have True Blue arrange everything for me and my family. Thank you True Blue for an Awesome and unforgettable Turkey experience.

We were a private group of 9 people, and very lucky to have Eyup as our guide for the 11 days tour. Most of the tourists fly to each location, but we traveled by road so we got to see some extra sights. Everything was organized well, van was comfy, food was delicious. Some hotels were small, but with great location. Eyup is a very kind and patient person, and flexible with the schedule. He did not rush us and was happy to take all our photos :) I'm sure it was challenging to have an all-female group, but he managed very well! He organized a private yacht for us (a surprise) for the Bosphorous cruise, and a private mass at Mama Mary's house in Ephesus. He patiently answered all our questions and did his best to accommodate our requests. Our van driver Gokcel was also awesome! He drove very well, kept the vehicle super duper clean every day, went out of his way to accompany us to certain places, etc. We also had some time for shopping for traditional items like beautiful handmade pottery and carpets (very expensive so be sure to haggle the price!), and some leather outlets. The highlight of the trip was our Cappadoccia hot air balloon ride. However, there was a misunderstanding and True Blue was not able to book this for us. I highly recommend to book this much in advance and pay deposit right away to secure your slot. We were there in very peak season (Oct 1) so prices were crazy. We booked the balloon through another agency and the price was much higher. But still, worth the experience. Turkey is very beautiful and we would love to go back and see the other parts next time. Thank you True Blue for all the memories, friendship, fun and laughter. We had a wonderful time! :)
