Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series is the twenty-fifth season of the dubbed version of the Pokémon anime . It is the third and final season of Pokémon Journeys: The Series . The season follows Ash and Goh as they travel around the world , based at the Cerise Laboratory in Vermilion City in Kanto . The last 12 episodes of the season form an arc called Pokémon: To Be a Pokémon Master , during which Ash reunites with Misty and Brock and travels the world with them.

In the United States , episodes were added quarterly on Netflix , beginning on October 21, 2022 with the first 12 episodes, starting from The Spectral Express! , and concluding on September 8, 2023 with the last 12 episodes, ending with Distant Blue Sky! . In Canada , it debuted on May 28, 2022 on Teletoon. In South Africa , it debuted on August 2, 2022 on e.tv. In the United Kingdom , it debuted on September 1, 2022 on POP. In Australia , it debuted on September 15, 2022 on 9Go!.

This season skips JN119 , JN121 , JN126 , and JN128 , due to those episodes being clip shows .

It is preceded by Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series , and succeeded by Pokémon Horizons: The Series , the first season of the dub of Pokémon Horizons: The Series .

On Netflix, the last 12 episodes of the season are numbered separately from the rest of the season, under the title "Pokémon: To Be a Pokémon Master: Ultimate Journeys: The Series".

• In the September 22, 2022 press release announcing the Netflix premiere date in the United States, a statement that the season would contain "approximately 54 episodes" was included in error. [1] [2] The same 54 episode figure was also mentioned in an August 16, 2022 article by Toy World Magazine reporting on the announcement of the POP premiere date in the United Kingdom. [3] This number would later prove to be the accurate episode number.
• Unlike the previous two seasons, the Ultimate Journeys logo that appears during the opening theme and the Who's That Pokémon? segment includes the phrase "The Series".
• This is the first season to have more than one opening theme song (first since Pokémon: Advanced , if going by television definition).
• As with Pokémon the Series: XYZ , this season contains a special episode. However, it is the first season to contain a special episode that is not counted by the Japanese official websites, rental DVDs, and video-on-demand streaming releases as a main series episode the way The Legend of X, Y, and Z! , XYS06 , and the Mega Evolution Specials were.
• This is the last season to feature Ash and Pikachu as main protagonists and the Team Rocket trio as main antagonists.
• The 12 episodes of To Be a Pokémon Master were released in the United States on the 25th anniversary of the original airing of the anime's first episode .
• This is the last season to feature Carter Cathcart as the script adapter and a voice actor for the English dub , as he opted to retire from the anime following his diagnosis of cancer.

‘Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series’ Part 2 is Coming to Netflix in February 2023

Part 2 of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series will be coming to Netflix soon.

Part 1 of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys arrived on Netflix in October 2022. Fans who have waited patiently for the release of part 2 won’t have to wait much longer, as it’s coming to Netflix in February 2023.

Pokémon Ultimate Journeys  is the 25th season of the Pokémon anime and the third season of the Pokémon Journeys story overall.

Ultimate Journeys will continue the adventures of Ash and Goh, with the former continuing to rise through the ranks of the World Coronation Series, and the latter continuing his work on Project Mew.

Pokémon: XY is the seventeenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the first season of the XY series. It features Ash Ketchum and Pikachu as they venture into the Kalos region where they meet new friends, Clemont and Bonnie, and where Ash reunites with his childhood friend, Serena. Ash will catch new Kalos Pokémon, and make new rivals along the way to compete in the Kalos League and learning about the secrets of Mega Evolution.

Generation V Unova Region

Pokémon: BW Adventures in Unova

Pokémon: BW Adventures in Unova is the sixteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the third and final season of the Best Wishes series. It currently features Ash Ketchum and his friends, Iris and Cilan, and their adventures through Unova after thwarting Team Rocket's plot to use Meloetta for evil and features Ash's battles through the Unova League. It also features a plot involving Team Plasma and Ash returning to the Kanto region.

Pokémon: BW Rival Destinies

Pokémon: BW Rival Destinies is the fifteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the second season of the Best Wishes series. It features Ash Ketchum and his friends, Iris and Cilan, and their adventures through Unova from Nimbasa City, Ash's Gym Battle with Clay and his journey through east Unova.

Pokémon: Black & White

Pokémon: Black & White is the fourteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the first season of the Best Wishes series. It features Ash Ketchum and his friends Iris and Cilan's adventure through Unova from Nuvema Town to Nimbasa City.

Generation IV Sinnoh Region

Pokémon: DP Sinnoh League Victors

Pokémon: DP Sinnoh League Victors is the thirteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the fourth and final season of the Diamond & Pearl series. It features 34 episodes of Ash Ketchum and his friends Dawn and Brock's adventure through Sinnoh from Sunyshore City to the Sinnoh Pokémon League at Lily of the Valley Island. It is the shortest Pokémon anime season.

A new Pokemon series is currently streaming on Netflix, so there's no better time to refresh yourself on how to watch Pokemon TV in order. It's not quite that simple, however. As of writing, there are well over 1,200 episodes, dozens of films, and a sprinkling of specials and shorts to take into account.

To date, there have been 23 animated Pokemon movies. The first 19 up to Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel are all part of the mainline Pokemon series. While they are essentially canon, they rarely – if ever – impact the main series, and can be skipped if need be. Still, we really would recommend you seeking out the first five Pokemon movies at the very least.

The movies I Choose You, The Power of Us, and Secrets of the Jungle all take place in an alternate timeline from the main series and are either re-tellings, re-imaginings, or new adventures with Ash. It’s also worth noting that Mewtwo Strikes Back: Evolution is a CGI remake of the first movie – but we’ll get into the weeds of that more with our chronological order later on. On top of that, the Pokemon Black/White movies are two movies with slight variations. We’d recommend choosing just one and not both.

How to watch Pokemon in chronological order – including movies

Now we’re getting into the tricky stuff. While Pokemon can be watched in chronological order alongside the movies, it’s not always clear where each feature-length adventure slides into the core narrative. But there are clues and hints to help guide us, and we’ve done our best to present the complete saga below.

The overall series is also split into eight eras: the original series, Ruby and Sapphire, Diamond and Pearl, Black and White, XY, Sun and Moon, Journeys, and Horizons. As of writing, however, not all episodes have been released in the West. We're still waiting for the conclusion to the first season of Horizons.

To help make the list seem less daunting, we’ve split everything up into those separate parts. We’ve also tagged each list entry with the episode number of that season, as per Pokemon’s website. E.g. Pokemon: The Johto Journeys may start at episode 105 overall, but we’ll stick to the official numbering convention of Johto Journeys episode 1, and so on – as that’s how it’s listed on various streaming platforms.

Alongside our general list, there’s also three movies that consist of an alternate timeline/retelling of Ash’s adventures. These should be watched separately from the main series.

As mentioned earlier, there’s also a CGI remake of the first Pokemon movie. Purists may prefer the original, but the choice is yours. We’ll also include certain story-heavy specials such as Mewtwo Returns in this list.

How to watch the Pokemon specials and shorts in order – a quick guide to Generations, Origins, and the ONAs

Away from the main series, there are multiple Pokemon specials, spin-offs, and shorts for fans to watch.

The vast majority of these can be watched in any order and don’t fit into canon. However, we’ll deal with the ones that do fit into canon first.

Mewtwo Returns is the first chronological special, taking place midway through the Johto League arc. The Pokemon Chronicles trilogy titled The Legend of Thunder all fall during the Master Quest series. The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon – released for Pokemon’s 10th anniversary – can be watched alongside the Ruby and Sapphire series. Finally, The Pokemon Mega Evolution Specials can be watched during Pokemon XY, with ‘The Legend of X, Y, and Z’ fitting neatly into the end of the Pokemon XY series arc.

The order of those specials are:

• Mewtwo Returns (Johto League)
• Pokemon Chronicles: The Legend of Thunder (Master Quest) [3 episodes]
• The Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon (Ruby and Sapphire)

Pokemon Generations is an anthology series based on Game Freak ’s video games; Pokemon Twilight Wings is a series of YouTube shorts inspired by Sword and Shield; Poketoon are YouTube shorts first made available in the West in 2022; Pokemon Evolutions is a series of standalone episodes inspired by the eight Pokemon regions and  Pokemon Hisuian Snow takes on the Hisui region from Pokemon Legends: Arceus.

There’s also the four-part Pokemon Origins series, which adapts Pokemon Red and Blue’s Gen 1 story where Red battles Team Rocket and the Elite Four.

Most recently, Pokemon went stop-motion with the cutesy Pokemon Concierge. It proved a success, and more episodes are on the way .

Finally, there are multiple Pikachu shorts – some attached to movies, some not available to watch in the West. It can be tricky, if not impossible, to seek all of them out, so it’s not really worth listing them all here. The most famous is Pikachu’s Vacation, which was shown before The First Movie.

There are also three shorts that serve as prologues to movies, but aren’t essential viewing. They are:

• Mewtwo – Prologue to Awakening (Pokemon: Genesect and the Legend Awakened)
• Diancie – Princess of the Diamond Domain (Pokemon: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction)
• Hoopa – The Mischief Pokemon (Pokemon: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages)

Where to watch Pokemon online 

Right now, there's no way to watch all of Pokemon on one streaming service. Pokemon TV, the official platform, officially shut down on March 28, 2024.

In the US, Netflix has season 1 and seasons 23-25 (The Beginning and Journeys respectively) and season 26 - Pokemon Horizons - currently airing.

Prime Video has seasons 3-9 (Gold and Silver and Ruby and Sapphire) and seasons 17-19 (XY). Hulu also has seasons X-Y, Roku has seasons 20-22 (Sun and Moon), and Tubi has seasons 14-16 (Black and White). Diamond and Pearl is also available via Prime Video channels.

In the UK, it's a similarly confused picture. POP has seasons 14-19 and seasons 24-25; BBC iPlayer has seasons 10-16 and seasons 20-22 and the new series Pokemon: Horizons (season 26); Netflix has season 1 and seasons 23-24, and Sky Kids has seasons 3-9 and seasons 14-19.

Amazon is the best destination for the majority of Poke-series. Prime has seasons 14-16 and 20-22, plus seasons 2-9 and 17-19 available via Amazon Channels.

Worse still, these platforms change all the time and may be out of date depending on the month. As such, we'd recommend renting or buying the complete series on digital platforms such as Google if you want the full picture from start to finish.

The newly premiered trailer at Xbox Showcase 2024 revealed the first gameplay footage, showing off exciting action and divine powers, as well as some newly redesigned deity portraits. In this mind-bending narrative set in the early 1990s, a shadowy force has infiltrated the U.S. government and players will be forced to go rogue for the first time.

Playground Games Asks ‘What Does It Mean to be a Hero?’ in the Next Installment of its Fable Trailer Series

What does it mean to be a hero? In last year’s trailer, that question was answered by Dave, a gardener-turned-giant with a chip on his shoulder. This year, we get a much darker take from Humphry, played by the British comedy actor Matt King. Humphry was once Albion’s greatest Hero, but those glory days are long gone. In Fable , Humphry will be forced out of retirement when a mysterious figure from his past threatens the very existence of Albion.

E-Day Marks a New Dawn for Gears of War

Gears of War: E-Day is the next mainline game in the Gears of War universe, set during the pivotal Emergence Day. Fourteen years before Gears of War, war heroes Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago return home to face a new nightmare: the Locust Horde. These subterranean monsters, grotesque and relentless, erupt from below, laying siege on humanity itself.

In the announce trailer for the series’ next major installment, The Coalition has teamed up with Blur Studio to forge a visually stunning trailer using in-game assets in Unreal Engine 5. It features a new instrumental version of ‘Mad World,’ originally performed by Gary Jules for the iconic 2006 commercial, now brilliantly reimagined by the game’s composer Adam Lastiwka. The trailer made its debut in 4K resolution and 30 FPS with 5.1 stereo sound. These specs, optimized for streaming, do not represent the final game’s performance.

South of Midnight Shows Off First Gameplay – and the Monstrous Two-Toed Tom

South of Midnight – the beautiful third-person action-adventure game from We Happy Few creators Compulsion Games – showed off its first gameplay trailer during the show, ahead of its launch in 2025. We meet Hazel and her newly-revealed companion, Catfish, as they travel through a flooded area inspired by the Mississippi Delta – and quickly find themselves facing down one of the game’s monster Kings. Meet Two-Toed Tom, a gigantic albino alligator with a powerful hunger, and even his own theme song.

Open World Zombie Survival Game State of Decay 3 Unveils New Trailer

Today at Xbox Games Showcase, Undead Labs revealed a new trailer for State of Decay 3 , giving us a closer look at the ambitious open world zombie survival game. This follow-up to fan-favorite State of Decay 2 represents a huge leap forward for the series and the studio.

In State of Decay 3 , the game’s world is now years into the apocalypse, with an evolving zombie threat taking over the landscape. You must fight back and reclaim lost ground, carving out a life for your community of survivalist homesteaders. Fans of the series might pick up on nods to some franchise staples in the new trailer: brutal combat; cooperatively battling back threats to the survivor group; permadeath; opening a car door on a zombie while speeding down the road. Sea of Thieves Season 13 Update: Being Bad Can Sometimes Feel Good
