Jung Kook is fresh off the release of his highly anticipated solo album,  Golden , and he celebrated by giving fans a special treat.

The 26-year-old BTS superstar took the stage at TSX Entertainment on Thursday (Nov. 9), the first permanent stage located in the heart of New York City’s Times Square, to give a surprise show. Dressed in all Calvin Klein, Jung Kook performed several songs from Golden .

I'd be in if he would come in my country, but I doubt a world tour can happen since he hasn't enlisted yet. Right now he must have restrictions as far as travelling is concerned. He can travel for sure, but a world tour seems very unrealistic. Let's be patient and hope it happens after his military service.

BTS's Jungkook Announces "'GOLDEN' Live On Stage" Concert

BTS ’s Jungkook will be holding his first solo concert next month!

On October 9, BIGHIT MUSIC officially announced Jungkook’s plans for a “‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage” show in which he will perform songs from his upcoming solo album “ GOLDEN .”

“‘GOLDEN’ Live On Stage” will take place on November 20 at 8 p.m. KST at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul, and the concert will also be streamed online for fans unable to attend in person.

Meanwhile, Jungkook’s first solo album “GOLDEN” will drop on November 3 at 1 p.m. KST. Check out his latest teasers for the album here !

Jung Kook made his Global Citizen Festival solo debut on Saturday at the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park where he unveiled a few surprises for Army, including performing “Seven” with unannounced guest Latto who sang her feature on their collab. His headlining set marked the first time a South Korean solo artist headlined the festival.

As fan footage from the event showcased, Jung Kook performed his summer hit, naming off the days of the week on the catchy chorus, flanked by a bevy of dancers. Towards the end of the song, Latto surprised fans as she made her way on stage to drop her verse.

The BTS member also delivered his first-ever performance of “ Still With You ,” his solo song that he first shared three years ago. “Thank you all for coming in the rain,” he told fans, who screamed their approval, before launching into the lyrics. “I love you guys.”

The set culminated with Jung Kook performing a medley of BTS hits, including their Number One singles “Permission to Dance,” “Dynamite,” and “Butter.” He ended the night with a video teaser for “3D,” his next solo release featuring Jack Harlow. His new single is set to arrive on Sept. 29.

“’3D’ is a R&B pop track that employs a witty use of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dimensions to express one’s desire to be connected with someone,” BIGHIT MUSIC said in a statement confirming the upcoming song. “Following ‘Seven,’ the new track will showcase Jung Kook’s growth as a solo artist.”

Jung Kook of BTS kicked off the 2023 "GMA" Summer Concert Series with an epic performance on Friday.

The global pop star performed his highly anticipated, first official global solo debut single, "Seven," which was also released Friday.

Jung Kook called it "amazing" to collaborate with Latto on the song, saying the rapper was the "perfect fit" for it.

"I love how the song and music video turned out," he added.

As for what he said his fellow BTS bandmates think of his new music, Jung Kook said "they loved it."

The concert in New York City's Central Park had to be evacuated due to severe weather, including lightning, but the singer taped his performances due to the inclement weather.

He opened the set with a performance of his BTS solo single, "Euphoria," from 2018.

BTS stans its time to assemble! Recently, BTS's Jungkook announced that the pop star is set to embark on his first solo concert, titled Golden Live On Stage , in Seoul , on November 20. As fans are eager to catch a glimpse of him at the Jangchung Arena, the ticketing details of the same have been revealed too. Jungkook is set to release his upcoming album Golden on November 3.

ARMYs need to do this for 'Golden' concert tickets

ARMY Membership holders and Weverse Shop GLOBAL album purchasers will have access to the concert. The agency also revealed that they are planning to stream the concert globally and make it an inclusive event for all BTS fans. As per reports, ARMY membership is available on Weverse Shop for $23.22. Jungkook's Golden comprises 11 tracks, including Seven and 3D .

When K-pop star Jungkook launched an Instagram account dedicated to his pet dog Bam on April 15, it amassed more than four million followers in a day.

The account @bowwow_bam, called “Bam’s dad”, has seven posts featuring photographs of the Dobermann, including a profile photo of Jungkook and Bam.

The description of the account, “Have a good BAM”, is also a pun on Bam’s name, which sounds like the Korean words for “night” and “chestnut”, referencing Bam’s brown coat.

The 26-year-old member of boy band BTS introduced the account through the global fan communication platform Weverse, saying: “I can’t brag about myself now, so I should brag about my baby. I hope you have a great ‘bam’ (night).”

Jungkook shocked his global fan base in 2023 when he deleted his official Instagram account, which had more than 52 million followers.

He assured fans then that his account was not hacked and that he deleted it simply because he no longer used the social media platform.

Thousands of fans commented on each post on Bam’s new account, expressing support for the youngest member of BTS.

Jungkook is doing his mandatory military service, required by all able-bodied South Korean men, and is due to be discharged on June 11, 2025.

All seven members of BTS are currently serving. Jin, the oldest member and the first to begin his service, is slated to be discharged on June 12.

BTS are considered one of the most influential boy bands of this generation, with their members each having successful careers as solo artistes.

Jungkook’s Standing Next To You has charted on the Billboard Hot 100 for 19 straight weeks, the longest streak for a South Korean solo artiste since Psy’s Gangnam Style in 2023. – The Korea Herald/Asia News Network

BTS' star singer Jungkook has often expressed his admiration for South Korean actor and idol IU. In an old interview, when all the BTS members were asked to reveal their 'ideal type,' Jungkook began singing IU's song, 'You and I.' When others insisted him to share the name, he said shyly, 'IU Sunbaenim.' For the unversed, Sunbaenim is a Korean word for 'Senior.'

In yet another interview, the pop star was asked what was the first record he ever bought and Jungkook asked the host, “Do you know IU?” Thereby implying that the first music record he had bought was of IU's.

In another sweet instance, BTS was asked which girl group they would like to get close to and Jungkook being a true-blue fanboy of IU, took her name.

Concert film Suga – Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ The Movie from Trafalgar Releasing took in $990k for Saturday alone, rounding out the North American box office top ten — testament to the power of concert films post-Covid and the enduring popularity of the K-Pop powerhouse. The band is currently on hiatus as members entered military service required in South Korea. But Suga, the second oldest, got in one last solo concert in Seoul last year. It was released into theaters globally for two playdates on April 10 and April 13, for a cume of $2.2 million.

Well Go USA’s widest-ever theatrical release, directed by Kiah Roache-Turner, stars Alyla Browne as 12-year-old Charlotte, whose pet spider rapidly transforms into a giant flesh-eating monster, forcing the young girl to fight for her family’s survival.

Sasquatch Sunset is grossing $93k in its first weekend in limited release on nine screens for a weekend at $10.3k. Nathan and David Zellner’s dialogue-free quirky imagining of the daily lives of a Bigfoot tribe in northern California is getting great press ahead an expansion to 800 screens this Friday. Stars Jesse Eisenberg, Riley Keough, Christophe Zajac-Denek and Nathan Zellner — unrecognizable as the hairy tribe of four.

Indigo Girls : It’s Only Life After All is seeing $14.2k on 14 screens. The Oscilloscope release by Alexandria Bombach’s has a cume of $147k including a one-night event showing on 98 screens last week.

Holdovers: Sony Pictures Classics’ Wicked Little Letters is at an estimated $820.4k on 1,009 screens (last week 1,002), for a cume of $2,8 million. Director Thea Sharrock’s British period comedy, R-rated for profanity, stars Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley.

IFC’s Late Night With The Devil took in another $440k on 607 screens for a cume of $9.3 million. By Cameron and Colin Cairnes, starring David Dastmalchian.

BTS Suga's Agust D TOUR 'D-DAY' THE MOVIE becomes highest grossing US & Worldwide 2024 concert film by K-Pop soloist

O n April 16, 2024, Trafalgar Releasing announced through their official website that BTS' Suga's Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie has emerged as the highest-grossing U.S. and worldwide concert film of 2024 by a K-pop soloist.

The movie earned over $10.16 million globally from limited showtimes between April 10 to April 13, 2024.

Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie was produced by Big Hit Music, HYBE Trafalgar Releasing, and ICECON. The Trafalgar Released owned the distribution rights of the concert film, which hit the theaters on April 10, 2024.

Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie depicts the events from the BTS member's solo tour, SUGA Agust D Tour, which took place from April 25, 2023, to August 6, 2023, in support of albums D-Day, Agust D, and D-2. It featured guests such as Kim Namjoon, Jimin, Jungkook, Shinwon Park, Jinhun Kim, Yeonjun Lee, Changhyun Kim, June, Adora, El Capitan, and Ten Crew.

BTS' Suga was crowned as the first and only K-pop solo artist to achieve the highest-grossing cinematic milestone of gaining over $10 million worldwide within limited showtimes for his concert film, Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie. It was confirmed by the distribution company Trafalgar Releasing and HYBE through an article on the former's website.

"Inclusive of the screenings on April 10 through April 14, the electrifying concert film has grossed a total of $10.16 million worldwide from limited showtimes. This gross gives Agust D, aka SUGA of 21st century pop icons BTS, the highest grossing U.S. and worldwide concert film of 2024 as well as the highest grossing cinema event ever from a K-pop solo artist," the statement on the website read.

The screenings for the Agust D Tour ' D-Day ' The Movie took place from April 10 to April 13 in over 3500 cinemas and 100 territories. The additional screenings were also incorporated late due to the increasing demand from fans globally. The demand for the film also compelled the distribution company to expand the screens by 100 figures.

The expansions were not only limited to North America but other locations, including Mexico, Latin America, and Brazil. Moreover, observing the worldwide crazy for the Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie , the CEO of Trafalgar Releasing stated, as reported on their official website:

"We're really excited with the phenomenal response to Suga| Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie. It's a true testament to Suga's artistry and not only speaks volumes about his power to motivate fans but also signifies the strong appetite for event cinema experiences worldwide."

Moreover, the Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie has debuted at the North American Box office as the highest-grossing Korean film, surpassing the record set by the Seoul Spring ($1 million/4 weeks) and Crime City ( $910,00/ 6 weeks), respectively.

According to Trafalgar Releasing, the concert film reached No.2 in North America on April 10, 2024, at the box office with a gain of more than $961k and a per-screen average of $1,264 throughout the 784 movie theaters. Subsequently, it remained under the top 10 position by bagging the No.8 position at the April 13 box office with a gain of $990k and a per-screen throughout 787 cinemas. In North America the Agust D Tour 'D-Day' The Movie grossed $2.3 million.

It also did well as a regional release in Mexico, Brazil, and Germany. In Mexico, the movie topped the market worldwide with over $2.58 million total, while in Brazil and Germany , it gained over $612K and $402K, respectively.

BTS' Suga began his mandatory military service on September 22, 2023, as a social service agent. He is expected to be discharged from service in 2025.
