The Code 1 glove has a unique feel offering the performance and protection of a hockey glove but the dexterity and weight of a lacrosse glove. Tour achieves this by redesigning the thumb to not restrict movement and allow a more natural feel. They have also segmented the finger and palm materials to follow natural hand motion for superior comfort and movement. A ntimicrobial moisture wicking lining along with the  venting used on the palm and back of hand allows for excellent air flow and heat  dispersion keeping your hands cool and dry during the game.

2023 Design/Photo Updates

We JUST received these new models. The TOUR logos on the backhand and cuff have been updated. The gloves will not look identical to these photos, but pretty close. They look great!

Further along those lines, the Tour Code 1 Roller Hockey Gloves feature a newly designed ContourMax design! Much like the shape of lacrosse gloves, these gloves follow the natural hand motions providing superior comfort, movement, and responsiveness. Within the thumb and palm areas, Tour incorporated what is known as their Flowcool vents. This technology provides unmatched heat dispersion keeping players’ hands cool and dry for maximum comfort and feel. Along with the all new Code 1 skates , Tour Hockey will be introducing the all new Tour Code 1 gloves this year.

The all new Tour Code 1 gloves will bring features never before seen in Tour hockey gloves before. One of the biggest features is the all new Flowcool technology. This new technology features strategically placed venting on the back of the hand to improve airflow and help with heat dispersion. This will help the Code 1 gloves to dry three times faster than previous Tour gloves. A new perforated synthetic leather palm will also help to increase airflow, keeping you comfortable all game long. Inside the glove, you will find an anti-microbial and moisture wicking liner working hard to keep you comfortable and dry as well.

The Tour Code 1 gloves will also feature a new contoured fit called FusionFit. Their ContourMax segmented design will follow your natural hand shape and motion to provide improved comfort and a better fit. The Code 1 gloves will feature an articulated stretch thumb with improved mobility and rotation as well. The design can best be described as a hybrid between a lacrosse glove and hockey glove, something that should provide a great benefit to roller hockey players.

While the gloves offer a great fit and outstanding mobility, protection was not overlooked on the Tour Code 1 gloves. Dual-density high impact foams were used throughout the glove to offer great protection against slashes and other hits to the hand. Hard plastic inserts were also used in the glove in key areas such as the fingers, backhand, and thumb, in order to provide reinforced protection.

On April 2nd, EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ will receive an update that includes a new season, several gameplay improvements, and game-wide bug fixes. Read on to learn about what’s coming next.

Welcome to Season 11!

Season 11 launches as the largest content update to date for EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ with the release of four new courses and the ultimate Major champion of all time, Jack Nicklaus joins as the first playable golfer added since the game's launch. Moreover, starting April 4th, EA Play^ members can enjoy the EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™ updates available via the Play List. As with all previous updates, the new courses and Jack Nicklaus are included with no additional purchase required. This now makes a total of 39 playable courses and 23 playable pro golfers.

Included as a 2024 Major Course, Valhalla Golf Course is located in Louisville, Kentucky, a modern, parkland-style course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Characterized by its wide fairways, large, undulating greens, and challenging water hazards, it has been the venue for multiple major championships, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup. Since it hosts the 2024 PGA Championship, Career mode has been updated to have the PGA Championship rotate every season between Valhalla, Oak Hill, and Southern Hills.

Pinehurst No. 2, the second 2024 Major Course to debut, is located in North Carolina and is a world-renowned golf course known for its crowned, undulating greens and strategically placed bunkers. Designed by the legendary Donald Ross, it has hosted more single golf championships, including the U.S. Open Championship and PGA Championship, than any other course in America. It will host the 2024 U.S. Open Championship, so Career mode has been updated to rotate the U.S. Open every season between Pinehurst No. 2, The Los Angeles Country Club, and The Country Club.

The third 2024 Major Course, renowned for its "Postage Stamp" eighth hole, is Royal Troon. Known as a world-class course, with traditional links located on the rugged coast of Scotland. Offering golfers challenging wind conditions, deep bunkers, large putting greens, and undulating fairways, Royal Troon is a frequent stop in the Open Championship rota, including this year. The Open will now rotate in Career mode between Royal Troon, Royal Liverpool, and St Andrews.

Further celebrating the tradition of Masters week, the Augusta National Par 3 Course will also be added to the game. The course is stunningly beautiful and serves as the traditional venue for the Par 3 Contest held annually on the eve of the Masters Tournament.

All four of these incredible courses are now available to play in Quick Play and Private Match and will be featured in Online and Tournament playlist rotations as well. As previous Ryder Cup hosts, Pinehurst No. 2 and Valhalla have also been added to Ryder Cup formats in Quick Play, Online, and Private Match.

Jack Nicklaus, often referred to as “the Golden Bear," is renowned for his powerful drives, precision iron play, and exceptional putting ability, which contributed to his record 18 major championship wins. Nicklaus's six Masters titles add to his legendary status as the greatest Major Champion golfer of all time. When playing as Jack Nicklaus, you’ll notice that he has his own set of golf clubs, four outfits to choose from, and his unique swing animation. Jack Nicklaus is available to play in any format that supports playing with pro golfers.

Season 11 Pro Pass** includes a wide variety of cosmetics in the premium tier including a selection of spring-themed apparel, Jack Nicklaus’ clubs, and one of his outfits. Completing Season 11 Pro Pass will earn you Jack Nicklaus’ '65 Masters Ball Spec in the free tier and the J.LINDEBERG “KV Tour - Azalea” outfit in the premium tier. Throughout the season you’ll earn tokens to level up your Pro Pass by completing live Quests and playing rounds in Online, Tournaments, and Career modes.

Challenges mode has been updated with two new challenge series. The “Drive Chip and Putt” challenges series offers a taste of what it feels like to compete in the famous junior golf competition. The “Jack Nicklaus” challenge series showcases the history of the Golden Bear, featuring some of the best rounds from his Major Championship victories, and a variety of other memorable moments from his legendary career.

Additional Patch Notes

• Jack Nicklaus’ swing animation has been added to the Store rotation.
• Added a “Starter Bundle” which includes a set of rare specs and a currency pack.
• New items added to the store rotation including the TaylorMade Qi10 Driver, Scotty Cameron Circle T putters, and several new apparel items.
• Increased matchmaking search timeout from 2 to 5 minutes.
• Updated the “Into Out” swing animation.
• Fixed the “TaylorMade MySpider - Red” left-handed version of the putter being colored white instead of red.
• [Kiawah] Moved several shrubs and bunker footprint decals that were incorrectly placed.
• [Career] Fix to enable changing outfits in Career mode lobbies.
• [Select Golfer] Updated Patrick Cantlay’s picture.
• [Store] Updated thumbnail icons for “In to Out” and “Sweep” swing animations.
• Additional crash and stability-related fixes.

Are your eclipse glasses safe? How to tell before the total solar eclipse.

T he 2024 total solar eclipse is almost here — and if you're hoping to get a glimpse of the phenomenon, it's best to make sure that you have real, working eclipse glasses that can protect your eyes. 

Here's what to know about eclipse glasses and how to check that they are safe to use. 

Are solar eclipse glasses safe to view the total solar eclipse with?

Solar eclipse glasses can be used to safely view a total solar eclipse , but it's important to make sure they're of the right quality. Don't use sunglasses, smoked glass, an unfiltered telescope and magnifiers or polarized filters as a way to view the eclipse.

The only glasses that should be used to look at a partially eclipsed sun is with eclipse glasses that meet an international standard, ISO 12312-2, according to the American Optometric Association. 

That international safety standard, which is set by the International Organization for Standardization , means the glasses reduce visible sunlight to a safe level, and block ultraviolet and infrared radiation, according to the  American Astronomical Society  website. According to the ISO, the safety standard is reviewed every five years. 

Blocking that radiation is important. Ultraviolet, or UV, radiation can damage the cells of the eyes, while the infrared, or IR, radiation can generate heat that causes thermal damage, according to the National Eye Institute . 

How to make sure the eclipse glasses you bought are real 

Real eclipse glasses will have a note about the international standard somewhere on their body, according to the American Astronomical Society. Before buying, make sure the glasses are advertised as meeting this standard.

If you already bought the glasses, check the arm for the the "ISO 12312-2" label. The standard may also be written as "ISO 12312-2:2015," the AAS says on its website. Either designation means that the glasses will block light and radiation. 

The label may be on the flat or curved part of the arm. 

NASA has also released guidance on how to test your eclipse glasses. The space agency recommends putting on your glasses and finding a bright light. If the light appears extremely dim, or doesn't appear at all, when you look at it through the glasses, they are legitimate. You should only be able to see the filament of the bulb, not its glow. 

How to avoid buying fake solar eclipse glasses

Checking for the international standard isn't foolproof: It's possible for sellers with products who do not meet the standard to label their eyewear with it anyway. To avoid this, make sure you're ordering glasses from a reliable source. 

The American Astronomical Society advises against ordering from Amazon, Temu or other online marketplaces, and recommends against ordering if prices seem to be too good to be true. The AAS also said it's best to purchase from manufacturers based in the United States. CBS News previously reported that counterfeit glasses have been sold by companies based overseas. 

The organization maintains a list of reputable vendors of solar eclipse glasses. CBS News previously reported that NASA supports the  American Astronomical Society 's work, though the space agency does not maintain its own list of vendors.  

The ISO, the body that established the international standard for eclipse glasses, also sells them on its website. 

Why it's important to double-check older solar eclipse glasses

If you're reusing glasses from a previous solar eclipse, it's important to double-check that they are still in good condition. NASA warns against using glasses that have any marks or scratches on them. This damage can diminish the protection they offer. Glasses that have punctured lenses should also not be used. 

Glasses that are more than three years old should not be used to view the 2024 total solar eclipse, according to the National Eye Institute — so if you saved your glasses from the 2017 eclipse, you may want to think about finding a new pair.

How to make sure your homemade eclipse viewing tool is safe

If you're not buying glasses, it is possible to make an indirect viewing method for viewing the eclipse at home. An indirect viewing method means that you don't look directly at the sun so your eyes remain protected even without eyewear. 

NASA recommends making a pinhole projector, which uses a small opening like a hole punched in an index card, to project an image of the sun onto a nearby surface. When using a pinhole projector, keep the sun at your back and view the projected image to safely see the eclipse. However, to do this safely, it's important to make sure to avoid actually looking at the sun itself.
