Our booking tool is an easy form, based on a couple of steps:

•  Select the preferred trip and date,
•  Provide us with contact details and
•  Finalize your booking by making a small deposit

Prices are all inclusive. With that being said, we do add a 5% administration fee towards all bookings.

Furthermore the bar will be free and open on the boat. Snorkling equipment will be provided as well.

Tipping our crew after your special day is not mandatory, but obviously they will be extra thankful.

It’s your holiday! Of course plans change and you want to be able to enjoy your days stress free. If you cancel or change your plans up to 48 hours prior to the pick-up time of the activity, we will refund you in full. Cancellations less than 24 hours in advance won’t be refundable.

Our booking system is fully secured and uses top-notch payment processing. That way all your payments through this website will be secure.

We provide boat trips for all ages. Obviously there’s no drinking allowed under the age of 18.

What is Isla Saona?

 Isla Saona (or in English Saona Island) is the most popular tourist destination for day-trips in the Dominican Republic. It is an island in the southeast of the country, dotted with palm-fringed beaches (some of the best beaches in the Domican Republic ) and surrounded by incredibly blue turquoise waters. It is part of the National Park Cotubanamá (formerly called Parque Nacional del Este).

 Isla Saona gets visited every day by thousands of tourists. Despite those hordes, it is a beautiful place (I couldn’t believe it before I was there for the first time). When arriving at this picture-perfect island with its stunning coastline, you will feel like you are in paradise.  Most of the Saona Island excursions have a set amount of stops. You will see the natural swimming pool with some starfish, have (sometimes) a quick mediocre snorkeling stop (please note that Isla Saona is not a snorkeling excursion – check out this post if you are looking for better snorkeling options ), cruise along the coastline of the national park with an ocean catamaran and have a speed boat ride the other way back.  You will start your tour in La Romana and stop at the most famous snorkeling spot in the area , where you can see colorful fish and a tropical reef. At the island, you have plenty of time to enjoy your private lunch, the beautiful beach and refreshing drinks – alcoholic and non-alcoholic. In the afternoon, you head back to your starting point.

Just if snorkeling is important for you or if you have already been to Isla Saona, Isla Catalina might be the better pick for you.

Your private boat departs from Bayahíbe at 10.30. To get to our departure location, we can offer transportation from your hotel or resort in Punta Cana / Bávaro in our high-end transporter for an additional charge. The journey from Punta Cana to your boat or catamaran takes about 75 minutes.

You’ll start by relaxing in the beautiful shallow-water ‘natural pool’ of the Cotubanamá National Park. These turquoise waters are amazing and make for a great start to your day on the water.

From here we make a short stop to visit the starfish at Palmilla. Here you can snorkel to better see the unique Caribbean sea life in the area. Take this opportunity to enjoy another swim and truly unwind in the crystal clear and shallow waters of the Caribbean Sea.

From there, you’ll continue on your Saona Island excursion. You will pass by mangrove plants and get to take in the unique ecosystem in this area as we explore the coast. Some of the sea life you might encounter includes a sea turtle! And if you are lucky, you might even see dolphins.

Next stop will be “Playa Catuano” on Saona Island. Catuano Beach is the tropical beach you imagine when you think of the Caribbean. White sand, palm trees and the crystal waters of the sea right in front of you.

Here is where you will have time to enjoy one of the local restaurants for lunch – we recommend trying some of the delicious seafood from one of the many establishments on offer. You can also enjoy local beer, barbecue pork and chicken and salad (please note, lunch is not included in the cost of your tour).
