Please provide us your inquiries through email mentioned on the website. As soon as we receive your query, will update your tour Itinerary and other package details by replying to the same mail. Once, the guest is satisfied and gives us the confirmation of the tour we request you to transfer the booking amount mentioned in the below format in any of our bank accounts.

1st Installment :

• For making the first installment regarding the complete package tour you need to pay 40% of the total package amount as your booking amount.
• For only hotel booking you need to pay 40% of the total booking amount of your accommodation cost in the first installment.
• In the first installment for booking vehicle or transportation you need to make the 40% of total amount mentioned as your transportation cost.
• For the helicopter booking you need to pay the 100% of total cost as your booking amount in the first installment itself.

2nd Installment :

• For making the second installment of your complete tour package you need to pay the 35% of your total package amount in 30 days prior to your day of departure.
• For your hotel booking you need to pay the 40% of total amount in 30 days prior to your day of departure.
• For your vehicle or transportation booking in your second installment you need to pay 40% of your total package amount, 30 days before the day of departure.

3rd Installment :

• For third and last installment you need to pay the remaining 25% from your total package amount in prior to 15 from your day of your departure.
• For your third installment regarding the hotel booking you need to pay the 20% of your total package amount in prior to 15 days from your day of departure.
• For making the third installment regarding your transportation booking you need to pay the 20% of your total package amount in prior to the 15 days from your day of departure.

Tour Itinerary

The right to change amend or modify the itinerary of the tour at any time. We will notify you with such changes in prior over the phone or through the mail or the best communication method available at that point of time. Those changes may occur due to situations beyond our control like weather problems, cancellations of trains, flights, and political unrest, etc. We will try our best to keep the tour unchanged. However, any compensation or any refund due to such changes will not be paid by us.

Hotel Bookings

Hotel bookings are made by us on behalf of our customers. We are having a tie-up with many hotels. Although all rates are updated on our website, still there are chances that the rates of Hotels may go up/down. Sometimes rates of the hotel are hiked during long weekends and during festive seasons. It is better that you confirm the rates before making an online payment over the mail. The quality of the room, amenities or meals which are displayed in photos on hotel websites may vary. Booking of the rooms on the same floor/adjacent rooms/ non-smoking rooms in any hotel is not guaranteed. The right to change the pre-booked hotel or the category of rooms is reserved, anytime during the tour due to overbooking of a hotel, blocking of the sewage, electricity/water failure, etc.

Check-in/ Check-out times of hotels / Resorts may vary from city to city. please check these timings before making the booking. Early check-in and late checkout will be charged extra and are subject to the availability of the rooms. Policies for accommodating children and for extra beds may vary from hotel to hotel.

Vehicle Bookings

Vehicles are booked on behalf of our customers. We aim to provide the best available vehicle with the best services to our clients. The costs of diesel/petrol prices, interstate taxes, vehicle maintenance cost, toll & taxes, etc are beyond our control. Rates displayed on our website are eligible for change at any time without any prior notice.

The pre-booked vehicle can be changed to a similar category of vehicle in case of non-availability of the pre-booked vehicle.

Air-conditioned, as well as non-air-conditioned vehicles are booked as per request. If the air conditioner stops working due to technical fault at any time during the tour will not be our responsibility. No refund or change in the vehicle will be made in between the trip unless the vehicle is not in the condition to go further.

Amendments or changes after booking

If you wish to do amendments or change the prior booking, you have to inform us in writing on mail.

Amendment or changes in any booking will be treated as a new booking and will be subject to availability at that time and the additional cost will be charged. The additional cost will be borne by you. There will be an amendment charge of Rs.1000/- applicable.

Cancelation of the booking will be informed to us in writing on mail. The cancellation charges will be applicable depending upon the services. Cancellation of the hotels and airlines will be done according to their own cancellation policies.

The cancellation for a package tour, be applicable as follows :

• Cancellation before clear 30 working days or more prior to the date of departure of the Tour: 25% of the total tour cost will be charged.
• Cancellation before clear 29 to 16 working days prior to the date of departure of the Tour: 50% of the total tour cost will be charged.

Day 01 Indore to Leh Airport pick up to Leh

You will take a direct flight from Indore to Leh. Meet and greet with the representative at the Leh Airport. Drive toward Leh. On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel. One of the major attractions of this trek is the Hall of Fame. It was made by the Indian Army in memory of brave soldiers who were martyred to save us during the Indo-Pak wars. The Hall of Fame Museum is located on Leh- Kargil Road, about 4km from the city of Leh. Kali Mata Mandir & Spituk Monastery

An 11th-century monastery, Spituk Gompa lies on the western end of Leh. The monastery comes under the Tsongkhapa order (Yellow Hat sect) of Tibetan Buddhism but it was originally founded by Karma-pa (RedHead Sect). The Spituk Gompa features a giant Kali statue that they only bring out during festivals. Above the monastery, on a hilltop, the Kali Mata Temple is located where Goddess Kali is enshrined.

Indus & Zanskar River Confluence

The thing that makes this place interesting is the colors of the rivers. Zanskar River is fluorescent blue and Indus looks a little green. They both meet in Nimmu Valley. You have to be there to appreciate its beauty.

It is a former royal palace that was abandoned in the mid-19th century and overlooks the city of Leh. Dogra invasion forced the royal family to move to Stok Palace. It has a rich collection of Jewellery, Ornaments, and Ceremonial Crowns.

Tse-mo-Gompa

Shanti Stupa

Trekking to Saboo Village

A small but amazing trek worth your time is the Saboo village trek. It is not that far from the city yet it has its innocence and bliss of solitude. The local life and fresh air will make it memorable for you.

Sindhu Ghat

The literal meaning of ghat is a broad flight of steps leading down to a river. Sindhu Ghat is a riverbank near Shey village in Leh. It is renowned for its unique and scenic landscape, which has barren mountains, rocky terrains, sparse greenery, and the Sindhu River crossing the region.

Shey Palace

Arrival in Leh | Welcome To The Charming Land Of Ladakh

Upon arrival in Leh, you will be welcomed by the breathtaking view of the mountains surrounding the airport. The altitude of Leh is 3,500m/ 11,500ft above sea level, so it is essential to take it easy on the first day to acclimatize to the altitude. A pick-up service will be provided from the airport to your hotel, which is included in the cost of your itinerary. It is recommended that you carry a copy of your ID proof and two photographs with you. For foreigners, a copy of your passport and visa is necessary.

Only postpaid networks are available in Leh, so make sure that you have a plan that works in the area. ATMs are available, so you don't need to worry about carrying a lot of cash. There are several shops in Leh where you can buy souvenirs or anything else you might need during your stay.

On day 3 of your trip to Leh, you'll begin with a heritage walk in the old town area. Wake up early and have a delicious breakfast at the hotel before meeting your guide for the tour. The old town area is a treasure trove of traditional architecture and interesting stories of the past. Explore the narrow lanes, old houses, and ancient temples as your guide regales you with tales of the town's rich history.

As you trek through the old town, make sure to visit the Leh Palace, Tsemo Gompa, and Shanti Stupa, all of which are situated atop a hill and offer stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. For those who prefer not to trek, an SUV is available to take you to these sites.

After the morning's heritage walk, return to the hotel for a scrumptious lunch. Once you've had your fill, check out of the hotel and make your way to the camping site. The site is situated next to a river, providing a tranquil atmosphere for you to unwind in.

As you settle into your twin-sharing tents, take in the breathtaking natural beauty of your surroundings. Spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing and soaking up the peacefulness of the area. There's plenty to do at the campsite as well, so feel free to play some games or simply relax and enjoy the company of your fellow travellers.

As night falls, fall asleep to the soothing sound of the river and the chirping of crickets. The twin-sharing tents at the Shey picnic spot are cozy and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep.

Cycling Tour Around Monasteries | Enjoy The Serenity

On the fourth day of your trip, you will have the opportunity to explore the local villages and monasteries through a cycling tour. The tour covers a distance of about 30 km, allowing you to experience the serenity of the region as you cycle through the beautiful landscapes. If you are not keen on cycling, an SUV will be available for you to travel in. The cycling tour includes visits to some popular attractions, including the Sindhu Ghat, which is the location for the annual festival in the region.

Your next stop on the cycling tour is the Shey Palace, built in 1655 on the instructions of Deldan Namgyal. The palace is a must-visit for history buffs and those interested in Tibetan culture. You will have the opportunity to explore the palace and learn more about the region's history and culture.

After exploring the Shey Palace, the cycling tour takes you to the 3 Idiots Rancho School. The school gained popularity after the Bollywood movie 3 idiots was shot there. You will have the opportunity to explore the school and take pictures of the movie's iconic locations.

Post-lunch, you will ride to the Bhumi Resort, where you will spend the night. The resort offers a range of activities to keep you entertained, including a bonfire, barbeque, archery, stargazing, camp games, and a culture show on demand. You will also have the opportunity to explore the local village and learn more about the region's culture and traditions.

In the evening, you can enjoy a bonfire and a barbeque while gazing at the stars. If you are feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at archery or participate in some of the camp games on offer. Leh - Nubra Valley | Jeep Safari To Highest Motorable Pass, Khardung La

The day takes you on a thrilling Jeep Safari from Leh to Nubra Valley. After meeting with your driver, you will board a sturdy SUV car that will take you through some of the most picturesque roads in the region. Covering a distance of approximately 125 km in about 5-6 hours, this journey is sure to leave you awestruck with its scenic beauty.

The highlight of your day will be a visit to the world-famous Khardung La Pass, which is located at an altitude of 5,602 meters or 18,380 feet. This is the highest motorable pass in the world and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Take some time to marvel at the stunning vistas and snap some memorable photos before moving on to the next destination.

Your next stop will be the beautiful white dunes at Hunder, where you can enjoy a thrilling double hump camel ride or an ATV ride at your own expense. Pangong Lake - Leh | Explore Unprecedented Heights

You will witness a breathtaking sunrise over the famous Pangong Lake. After breakfast, you will pack up your belongings and prepare to depart from Pangong Lake, starting your journey back to Leh.

As you make your way back to Leh, you'll take in the stunning scenery along the way. • Government Employees can avail the benefit of Special Casual Leave (SCL) when they join us for a trekking expedition. As per the rules of the Pay Commission, Special Casual Leave can be availed for up to 30 days in a calendar year for trekking/mountaineering expeditions through a registered organization. How To Reach

It is essential for everyone to arrive at Leh (01:00 pm)

 Upon booking the trek, your trek coordinator will furnish you with the hotel details.

Choose any option to reach Leh

The easiest and best way to travel is to fly to Kushok Bakula Rimpochi Airport located in Leh. It is just 4 km away from the main city. The airport is well connected to Delhi and also receives flights from Mumbai, Srinagar, Jammu, Chandigarh, and other general destinations in India. Even international travelers can fly directly from major cities like Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi. You can find taxis outside the airport or book a cab to reach the required destination.

There are two road routes to Leh

Manali (Himachal Pradesh ) to Leh via Baralacha La, Lachulung La and Tanglang La and It covers a distance of 500 km.

Srinagar to Leh via Zoji La, Lamayuru Lunar Landscape and Kargil and It covers a distance of 450 km.

You cannot reach Leh directly by train as there is no train station in Ladakh. The nearest railway station is Jammu Tawi (700 km from Ladakh) which is well connected with Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai.

For your return journey from Leh, you have the flexibility to choose between road or air transport options. Please note that our services extend only to the hotel, and the standard hotel check-out time is 11:00 am, if you opt for an air transport then please ensure an early check-out in the morning, as all flights operate during the morning hours

It's highly advisable to keep 2 buffer day in your travel plan. If the buffer day is not needed, it can be used to explore Leh.

In the unlikely event that TTH cancels a trek prior to the scheduled departure date:

While it is extremely rare for TTH to cancel a trek, we understand that unforeseen circumstances or natural disasters may occasionally require us to do so before the scheduled departure. These circumstances could include continuous rain or snow, thunderstorms, snowstorms, landslides, floods, earthquakes, or any other natural calamity that poses a risk to the safety of our trekkers. Additionally, unforeseeable events such as local riots, curfews, pandemics, lockdowns, government orders, or any similar situations that compromise the safety of the trekking experience may also necessitate a cancellation.

In the event of such a cancellation, TTH will provide you with a voucher equivalent to the amount you paid for the trek. This voucher can be redeemed for any of our treks within the next year, allowing you to still enjoy an adventure with us at a later date.

The issuance of a voucher is not applicable in situations where you are required to descend from the trek for any reason. The trek leader may make the decision to send you down from the trek due to factors such as insufficient fitness level, symptoms of Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), high blood pressure, exceeding the designated turn-around-time, health concerns, or if you are found smoking, drinking, or violating the rules set for the trek. In such cases, the provision of a voucher does not apply.

In the rare event that TTH shifts a trek:

We would like to emphasize that weather conditions in high-altitude areas are highly unpredictable and can undergo sudden changes at any time, irrespective of the day. Additionally, circumstances beyond our control, such as natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, and lockdowns, may impact the feasibility of conducting a trek. In cases where we are unable to proceed with an event due to such circumstances that are beyond our direct control, we will make every effort to provide you with an alternative trek that is safer and more suitable.

In such situations, we will issue a voucher to offset the cost difference between the originally scheduled trek and the alternative trek. This voucher can be redeemed at any time within one year from the date of issue. Please note that a refund fee or reimbursement of the cost difference is not applicable in these cases.

While many of our treks are led by female trek leaders, however, it is not possible to know which trek leader is assigned to which group. But nonetheless, whether the trek leader is male or female you can be completely assured of your safety and security with us.

Can I trek with periods? If yes, then where can I dispose of the sanitary pad?

Yes, it is possible to trek with periods. However, it is important to take some extra precautions and preparations to ensure a comfortable and safe trekking experience.

1. Use menstrual hygiene products that you are comfortable with, such as tampons, pads, or menstrual cups. It is recommended to carry enough supplies for the entire duration of the trek.

We offer three person tents with twin-sharing for optimum comfort. A woman trekker will share a tent with another woman trekker and if you are the only woman in the group, you will be given a single accommodation for your comfort and privacy.

Are trek poles, Jackets and other equipment available for rent from Trek The Himalayas?

Yes, we do provide gears on rent. You can book it using you TTH account directly.

Who will be with us on the trek from Trek The Himalayas?

Mountaineering qualified Experienced and first aid certified Trek Leader, First Aid Certify local guide, Cook, helpers and supporting staff.

Who can not join the trek?

People suffering from Bronchitis, Asthma, High blood pressure, Epilepsy (got faints), TB , Heart problem or on higher BMI side are strictly not allowed to go on any Himalayan trek. Apart from this if you had any medical history, please let us know.

When it gets really cold can I consume alcohol?

No. Alcohol and smocking isn’t allowed while on trek. It is totally misconception that it will keep you warm. Your body need to acclimatize properly and for that eat properly and drink enough water; these things will keep you warm.

What type of toilet facility is TTH providing at the trek?

Toilet tents provide a convenient solution for answering nature's call in the great outdoors. Dry toilets, in particular, offer a highly sanitary approach. By digging a pit and utilizing mud and a shovel, you can easily cover up your waste. This method ensures cleanliness and hygiene while camping or exploring in the forest. 

Remember to pack essential toiletries to complete your outdoor bathroom kit and maintain proper personal hygiene during your adventures. With these practices in place, you can enjoy nature while also respecting it.

How do I manage the negative temperatures on the trek at higher camps? Do I need special jackets?

Layer Up From Head To Toe Eat Full Meals, never sleep empty stomach You can keep warmee (if you’re more susceptible to cold). Use sleeping bag in right way and don’t leave free space in sleeping bag.

For upper body – Thermal layer – T-shirt (full-sleeves) – Fleece T-shirt (for extreme colds) – Fleece layer – Thick Jacket/Down Jacket – Waterproof or Windproof layer (outermost layer, when it is snowing or raining) - For Lower Body – Thermal layer – Hiking pants (normal) or Winter hiking pants

Based on how warm you feel you can skip any of the above layers. Your outer later should be windproof since it is windy at high altitude. The idea behind layering is that the more insulation you have the less cold you feel, and instead of wearing a very thick jacket if you wear multiple layers, your body will be better insulated against the cold.

Do you provide crampon/micro spikes and gaiters?

Do we get enough water for drinking?

Yes, trekker must carry 2 water bottles 1 litre each so they can refill it at campsite for drinking and keep themselves hydrate.

What kind of shoes we should buy for the trek?

You should buy shoes which has these three features –Good grip, Ankle Support and additional water resistant layers. Generally, we advise Quechua Trek 100, MH 500 and MH 100.

What happens if some members of the team need to turn back before the summit?

No one is forced to go on. There is always enough staff to split the party according to need and regroup later at the camp. Most people have no trouble reaching the highest campsite. If some members decide not to climb the final distance they can wait for the climbers to come back down the same way or take a lateral path to the descent route.

It means that we will not provide a car with driver on that day because it is not needed. Indeed, on that day, you will need a car only for a very short distance.

For the transfer from Leh airport to the city centre , you do not need to book a taxi in advance. Leh airport is only 4 kilometres from the city centre and you can easily find a local taxi (dedicated to airport transfers) directly at the airport; a prepaid taxi from Leh airport to the city centre costs approximately ₹ 600.

This 7D/6N tour package allows you to explore all the top attractions of Ladakh in just one week. During the first 3 days, you will visit the main cultural highlights of Leh and the Indus valley ( Sham region). This includes several villages and monasteries such as Phyang , Basgo , Alchi , Likir , Lamayuru , Rizong and Spituk as well as the Magnetic Hill , Sangam and Gurdwara Pathar Sahib . On the 4th day, heading north from Leh, drive over the Khardung La pass (the world’s highest motorable road) to the beautiful Nubra valley where you will visit the Diskit gompa and enjoy a camel ride at Hunder sand dunes . The next morning, after a stop at Sumur , you will head to Pangong via Shayok , an adventurous road trip through sublime mountain scenery. You can choose to explore the area. Walk upto the market to enjoy the sights and sounds of the old town. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Start the day with hearty breakfast at the hotel. Get ready for the day and begin your drive to Sham Valley. En route, stop at Likir Monastery. Here you can marvel at the great statue of Maitreya Buddha. Later, proceed to visit the Alchi Monastery, to view the 1000-year old murals which are also listed among the best Buddhist miniature paintings.

On your sightseeing tour, enjoy the view of the Magnetic Hill or the gravity hill, which is a natural wonder of the region. Also pay your respects at the Military Hall of Fame. Established and maintained by Indian Army, it is a museum and memorial of the war heroes.

After a well-spent day, drive back to Leh and arrive by afternoon/ early evening. Overnight stay is arranged at a hotel.

Start the day early to drive to Pangong Tso Lake. The beautiful lake displays multiple shades of blue taking your breath away. The journey is approximately of 145 km, located on the Indo-China Border. Travel via the Chang La pass seat at an altitude: 17,370 ft., one of the highest mountain passes in the world.
