The lovely beaches of Santa Monica are what most people envision when they think of Southern California and this tour allows you to actually walk on the beaches where the TV show Baywatch was filmed. The feel of the warm sand beneath your feet, the swell of the ocean, and basking in the warm California sun will become some of your most cherished memories.

You’ll arrive at the beach near lunchtime and have around 90 minutes to enjoy the sun-drenched beach, as well as the beachside grills and quaint shops of the surrounding area. A lunch is available to you at the Bubba Gump Shrimp Co, found on the Santa Monica Pier. Choose from a special select menu of either Grilled Chicken W/ Rice, Cheeseburger, Fish & Chips, Chicken or Shrimp Caesar Salad, Fried Shrimp or Veggie pasta. After some time at the beach you then can enjoy a short walk down the famous Rodeo Drive, known for its elite shopping and high fashion boutiques.

The next leg of the tour takes you on a guided tour that lasts around 50 minutes (approximate time) through the fabulous neighborhoods of Bel Air and Beverly Hills. You will see the homes of some of the biggest names in Hollywood. There are so many to choose from that the itinerary can change from day to day depending on the choice of the guide/driver (each has his or her favorite route).

You’ll also travel down the famed Sunset Strip, the mile long stretch of Sunset Boulevard that runs through West Hollywood. Red Flag 1 - Skip The Bus & Join Us

All Vegas based tour companies are permitted go to the city portion of Beverly Hills where Rodeo Drive is located but buses/minibuses cannot legally go into the high profile residential areas of Beverly Hills to show the celebrity mansions. They weigh over the legal weight limit of 3 tons (6000 lbs). The Beverly Hills cops issue citations to tour company violators before impounding their vehicles, issuing citations and escorting them out of the Beverly Hills residential area.

There are many mobile  weigh scale checkpoints throughout the Beverly Hills residential area directing suspected violators to pull into the mobile inspection points. This prevents all bus /minibus companies from entering the residential portion of Beverly Hills where all of the Celebrity Mansions are located.  (We have pictures to prove it too)

Tour companies use phrases on their websites that say "Up Close To The Sign" but in reality they go to areas that are much further away. For instance you can see the sign from the Chinese Theater on Hollywood BLVD about 6 miles away where all tour companies must stop at anyway. This is how they avoid going directly to the Hollywood sign.

The other main viewing area that companies go to is Mulholland Drive which is about 4 miles away. They say it's as close as you can get because they cannot legally fit there buses into the Hollywood Hills where the Hollywood sign is located.  They tend to get away with this because customers are not familiar with the residential automobile rules often having to take the companies word for it. When tour company websites say "UP CLOSE TO THE SIGN" its a RED FLAG.

I highly recommend the Hollywood Forever Night Tour. What a fantastic experience that should be on anyone who is a cemetery enthusiast. Karri Bible did an excellent job and made traveling to Lis Angeles worthwhile. Do, if you're ever in the Hollywood area, look on Karrie's cemetery tour website and keep on checking for the night tours! They are rare,but so worth it!!

Motorcycle tour of Death Valley turns fatal as thermometer cracks 128 degrees

As the temperature climbed Saturday to a record 128 degrees Fahrenheit in Death Valley National Park, a group of motorcyclists became distressed by the extreme heat, and one of them died, a park ranger said.

The motorcyclists were touring the park near Badwater Basin, a stretch of salt flats that is also the lowest point in North America, when — in the mid- to late afternoon — they reported being affected by the extreme heat, according to park ranger Nichole Andler.

One of the riders was pronounced dead at the site, and another person with severe heat illness was taken to Las Vegas, Andler said. Four others in the group were treated and released.

The name of the deceased motorcyclist, or other identifying information, was not released, and the specific cause of death will be determined by the coroner, Andler said.

“Yesterday it was 128 degrees, which was a record high for that day in Death Valley,” the ranger noted, “and these folks were traveling through on motorcycles, and most likely they didn’t have adequate cooling.”

The heat also hindered the rescue effort. When temperatures exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit, a medical helicopter cannot access the park. Air expands when it is heated, becoming thinner than cold air. So, helicopters can’t get the lift needed to fly.

But Andler said that, in addition to park rangers, first responders from Inyo County and nearby Pahrump, Nev., assisted the bikers.

Saturday’s temperature was just shy of the all-time heat record in Death Valley — 134 degrees, which was set on July 10, 1913. Since record-keeping began in 1911, temperatures have reached or exceeded 130 degrees only three times — with two of those times since 2020: Aug. 16, 2020, and again on July 9, 2021.

Each year, at least one to three people die of heat-related illnesses while visiting the park, and each week, there are one to three calls for medical assistance for heat-related stress.

“Folks get excited about experiencing the warmest temperatures that they’ve ever experienced before, and sometimes they forget that if an hour ago they were hot and started to feel nauseous, then they need to spend the rest of the day in air conditioning — because that could be the earliest sign of heat illness,” Andler said. “If you warm up and never properly cool down, your body doesn’t get a chance to reset.”

Elsewhere in Southern California, the heat shattered records and broiled communities.

On Sunday, Palmdale and Lancaster each set record highs for that date — with Palmdale seeing a 114-degree high, exceeding the record of 110 set in 1989. In Lancaster, the 115 degrees recorded Sunday topped the record of 110 reported in 1989 and 2017.

The National Weather Service said that extreme heat would continue this week across the Southland, with highs of 105 to 115 in the interior valleys, mountains and deserts.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — It’s been 30 years since Beck released his breakout lo-fi anthem “Loser.”

In the time since the song and its hit album “Mellow Gold,’' Beck has sought to shed the slacker image inadvertently linked with him. The versatile, genre-bending musician will perhaps complete that pendulum shift this summer as he celebrates his love for the refined skill and precision that goes into performing classical music with an orchestral tour.

The 53-year-old has always appreciated the unique, “spiritual” potential of the genre, thanks in part to his composer father, David Campbell, who helped Beck with the arrangements for the tour, which makes its grand finale at Carnegie Hall.

Ahead of his performance at The Hollywood Bowl on Saturday, Beck reflected on why weekly trips to the LA Philharmonic were at one time a regular “pilgrimage,” his upcoming duet with Orville Peck and the artistic potential of artificial intelligence. The interview has been edited for clarity and brevity.

AP: What has it been like preparing for this orchestral tour. You can’t really rehearse, right?

BECK: Well, we get like a two-hour run through on the day of, but it’s the first time we’re playing together. It’s the first time they’re playing the songs. But the music is all written out and they play it perfectly. It’s a bit miraculous because you’re used to rehearsing for many weeks or months and then you go out on a tour and then it works. But this is sort of an instantaneous kind of magical human experiment, where you just bring dozens and dozens of people together, and then it somehow works. It’s still a bit of a novelty to me.

AP: How does doing a tour like this change how you think about the performance?

BECK: It’s completely different. For me, it’s more focused on the singing. And typically, when we’re doing a tour, there’s much more production happening. The energy is really different. It’s more of a rock show energy, which means that we’re all running around, and there’s a kind of kinetic thing happening with everybody reacting in a more physical, visceral way. This is just kind of more purely about the songs and the music. You’re taken in by the sound of the orchestra.

AP: I read that at one point you would go to the LA Phil like every week. Why was it important for that to be such a regular part of your routine?

BECK: For a lot of years, I was so busy, and I was touring and working nonstop. And I’d say about six or seven years ago, I just started making space for it. Maybe it was a kind of personal pilgrimage or a meditative rite. It felt like something that would add this kind of rich layer to my life and felt very personal. There is something about that sound that is spiritual. I don’t know. I can’t quite put my finger on it. But I would walk out of there feeling a bit different, like somebody washed my brain. I don’t know how else to describe it, but it felt like something that I needed. And I noticed that a lot of the people at the concert hall tended to be more in their 70s and 80s. So maybe it has a kind of healing aspect that feels necessary when you’re getting older. I don’t know.

AP: It’s cool that you’re getting to work with your dad again. Do you guys feel like you have a pretty seamless working relationship at this point?

BECK: Yeah, it’s fairly automatic. It kind of always was. Like anybody you’re related to, you sort of speak an unspoken language, where you already know or understand before you have to really explain it.

AP: I know you’re featured on the upcoming Orville Peck duets album. How did that collaboration come about?

BECK: We’re friends. We just hang out. We would, for years, always say, “We got to get together and make a song.” So he reached out to me a couple of years ago and then I didn’t get around to it. And then I reached out to him. I said, “Hey I think I have something.” Because he had said, “I want to do something like Elvis in Vegas.” And I said, “You know what? I completely understand.” Elvis in Vegas is, you know, Vegas by way of Memphis. It’s a totally different thing from Sinatra Vegas. So yeah, we did the song, and it came together very quickly. We did it about a year ago. And then we just did a video for it.

AP: I was thinking about your AI project with NASA in 2020. Even in the few years since then, we have such different connotations with artificial intelligence. I wondered, given your willingness to experiment as a musician, how you feel about using AI to make music or art.

BECK: I’m not somebody who has really used it or thought about it. But I think, you know, something that John Cage factored into his work and embraced was this idea of chance. And other artists have embraced that idea of chance. Bowie is probably the most famous. And for me, that’s always something I’ve looked for in the studio. I’m looking for those random accidents, and sometimes it’s a random accident of technology. Like a piece of equipment malfunctioned or the computer glitched and was repeating the same two seconds of music by accident and we’ll say, “That’s great, let’s use that.” And I’ve been doing that for decades.

So, in a way, I get that those are sort of collaborative moments with the computer. But if it’s able to provide something that is unexpected that can be incorporated into something, that’s where it would be interesting to me. But I don’t think that’s the way people are looking at it. I think they’re looking at it as something that’s more predictable that they can depend on. Whereas yeah, like I’m saying an artist would be looking at it from more of a standpoint of what accidents could happen that would lead to somewhere new or interesting.

AP: Can we expect new music soon?

BECK: I’m making music all the time. You know, it’s just all about getting the time to finish it and get it out there. So, yeah, I have all kinds of projects I’m working on.

AP: Will you turn this tour into a live album?

BECK: You know I haven’t even talked to anybody about recording it. I feel like it should be. I hope we’re recording it or filming it at some point. It’s pretty special and rarified to get to do something like this, and it’s not lost on me. And also, being able to dig into some of the deeper cuts on my records. There’s a lot of orchestral work over the last, you know, seven or eight albums that we don’t get to play live. So, this is a chance to let some of those songs have their moment.

Music + concerts, music + concerts | how missy elliott decided to do her first headlining tour after nearly three decades of stardom.

We’ll pause while that sinks in, because, frankly, it’s such an unexpected thing to hear that at first it feels like it can’t possibly be true.

“I’ve had people argue with me: ‘No, no, no, you’re wrong,’” says Mona Scott-Young, Elliott’s manager since 1996 just before that first album arrived. “And I’m like, ‘No, I think I would know. I was there.’

“It’s pretty unimaginable,” Scott-Young continues. “Because she’s had so many milestone accomplishments, right? Hollywood Walk of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, every imaginable songwriter’s award. And you think of touring as just a natural extension of an artist that has had such an illustrious career.

“But yeah, historically she just has never felt that the time was right. Until now.”

Elliott has periodically popped up at festivals and as a guest artist over the years. Her last Southern California show was in May 2023 when she played a one-off concert at the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland.

But the only multi-city tour Elliott’s ever done was two decades ago when in 2004 when she opened for Alicia Keys and Beyoncé on the Verizon Ladies First Tour.

Accompanying Elliott on the Out of This World: Missy Elliott Experience tour are such longtime friends and collaborators as Busta Rhymes , Timbaland , and Ciara . It kicks off July 4 in Vancouver, British Columbia, before moving south on the West Coast to Los Angeles where the hip-hop icon and R&B queen plays Crypto.com Arena on Thursday and Friday, July 11-12.

The night before the first show, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, a free public celebration of the tour will take place at the Jerry Moss Plaza in the The Music Center in downtown Los Angeles. Elliott, her dancers and DJs will appear at Party on the Plaza: An Out of This World Event at 7 p.m. After Elliott welcomes those there, the dancers will teach fans the Out of This World dance challenge. In an interview edited for clarity and length, Scott-Young talked about Elliott’s decision to finally headline her own tour now, her reasons for not doing so earlier, and how she has many albums worth of new music recorded yet has not released a new studio album since 2005.

Q: So how did this happen? How did you learn she was ready to tour?

A: Well, we get offers constantly, which she goes, “Mmm, no, mmm, no.” And a big part of it is because she has such an incredible imagination in terms of what she wants to see happen. I often say it’s like a spectacle. She doesn’t just step onto a stage. It’s got to be all the bells and whistles, because she comes from thinking that people pay good money, and they should get entertained.

For years, she had thought about Vegas. It would be an opportunity for her to plant herself in a space and build out whatever her mind can conceptualize. We would do something where she was static. And so we had taken a quick trip and taken a look at some of the shows that were out there.

And then one day she just called and said, “We should go on tour.” I was like, “Oh, wait, we weren’t just going to be in Vegas? What happened to that?” But our partnership has always been, “You conceptualize it and I will figure out how to make it happen.” And that’s where this crazy journey we’ve been on began.

Q: In the past, how has she decided when she wanted to play a festival or a standalone show?

A: It’s been very random. It could be because of a song that she saw kind of regaining popularity. We had the “Cool Off” (dance) challenge and people really responded well to that. Or she’ll see dance crazes and she’s like, “Oh, I’d love to have my dancers out there on stage.” And I’m like, ‘”Wait, we’re gonna do this show mainly because you wanted to give your dancers an opportunity?” [She laughs]

Like we did the FYF festival (in Los Angeles in 2017) and that was kind of an opportunity for her to have 25-plus dancers on  stage with her. She was like, “That feels like it could be a lot of fun.”

Q: So for this headlining tour, what had to take place to put it together?

A: Oh, good lord, that is a loaded question. We probably have no less than 30 individual group text chains going on every single element. Because again, it’s not just getting on stage with a mic and some dancers, it’s the content that has to be conceptualized. The fans experience this show. It is not going to be something you watch. This is not a passive show, this is a fully immersed experience.

You’re going to go through a range of emotions. And the content, the wardrobe, the choreography, the music, the transitions, everything plays into that to paint this picture that lives in her head.

And the scariest thing to me is this picture is ever-evolving, it’s ever-changing. I’ll get middle of the night texts (from Elliott): “I have an idea.” That’s the scariest words that Missy Elliott can say to me. Because I never know where this idea is going to take me and what it’s going to entail in terms of execution.

Q: One of the things fans will be excited about is that Missy is bringing Busta Rhymes and Ciara and Timbaland.

A: It’s family. That’s what we say all the time, it’s a family affair. When she decided to do this there were so many artists that you could think of that would be great to go with Missy, right? But it was important for her that she delivered on the fans’ expectations. People have wanted to see her and Busta do anything together because they are such kindred spirits.

Ciara has been Missy’s protege and they’ve done some incredible music together And Timbaland is everyone’s longtime collaborator. He’s going to be taking us in and out of the sets, doing his own set. It’s going to be a seamless experience.

Q: After she played the Friends and Lovers festival in Las Vegas last year she did the one show at Yaamava’. Was that a test for a tour or just a a tag-on to the festival?

A: It’s funny, it was just the tag-on to the festival. To be perfectly honest, everything that she put on at the festival was not cheap. So it was like, “OK, Missy, let’s see, we’re going to need another show to help underwrite all of this stuff.” So it was really in support of the festival show.

Q: She was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year — the first solo female hip-hop artist to go in. Did that play a role in the tour this year?

A: It kind of pulled her out. I say a lot she’s like a hermit. She goes into that Bat Cave, she’s making music, you know. You very rarely see her out and about, just a few select appearances. But with that Rock Hall of Fame there was a lot of press and she was out there a lot. And people just kept expressing appreciation and love, and she responds to wanting to kind of deliver on her gift.

So when people kept saying to her again and again, “Oh my God, it would be so great to see you, I’ve been dying to see you,” it made her feel like, “Oh, you know, I probably should do something to give back to the fans.” All the conversations were around Vegas. I think the tour just came about spontaneously because she realized this would give her the opportunity to get out there and meet them where they are.

Q: She told Variety recently that she had six albums worth of music recorded. What’s your sense of that as her manager?

A: The difference with Missy is she does nothing until she feels it’s absolutely the right time. One of her favorite phrases is “My spirit says,” because she really is not only intuitive, but very spiritual. And she’s always looking for those signs and looking to feel 100% reconciled with whatever decision she makes.

And if there is anything that just doesn’t have her feeling that the time is absolutely right she just won’t do it. It’s never motivated by the financial, which, for a manager, it’s kind of like, “Are you kidding me? Are we really saying no to this?” [She laughs] And she’s like, “It just doesn’t feel right.”

She’s probably got more than six albums worth of material. I am sure that one day she will wake up and text me at 3 a.m. and say, “I have an idea,” and it’ll be let’s do the album. She just isn’t moved by anything other than her internal clock.

Eagles is heading on tour throughout the fall of 2024, and tickets are going fast to see the country rock band perform live. Though the demand is still high to see Don Henley and the Grammy-winning band after more than 50 years of touring, there are a few avenues for how to buy Eagles tickets.

The "Hotel California" band is booked for a 2024 Las Vegas residency at Sphere, which has recently hosted residencies for acts like U2, Phish , and Dead & Company . Sphere officially opened in September 2023 and boasts a unique experience with a wraparound LED screen, immersive audio and video, high-tech speakers, and 4D physical effects. For those who can score tickets, seeing Eagles at Sphere will be a concert like no other in the band's history.

Due to high demand, Eagles has already extended their stay at Sphere in Las Vegas though the tour was just announced. The band was originally booked for eight shows between September and October. On June 18, an additional four concert dates were announced for November, with June 26 bringing news of another four shows to be played in December. Now, Eagles is confirmed to have a 16-concert Las Vegas residency at Sphere between September and December 2024.

Eagles' Sphere residency kicks off on September 20, 2024. The "Take It to the Limit" band will play four shows in September, four concerts in October, four in November, and four in December. Eagles will take the final bow of their 2024 Las Vegas residency on December 14, 2024.

You can buy standard original tickets for Eagles' 2024 concert tour on Ticketmaster . However, demand for the band's Las Vegas residency is high, so standard original tickets are limited. For many dates, the only original tickets still remaining are Official Platinum or VIP passes.

Tickets to Eagles' 2024 Sphere residency can also be purchased via verified resale ticket vendors such as StubHub and Vivid Seats . You may find better luck with seating variety and options on these sites.

It's also important to note that the official presale for original tickets to Eagles' December 6–14, 2024 performances has not begun yet. The artist presale begins at 10 a.m. PT on Tuesday, July 9, followed by the public sale on Friday, July 10, at 10 a.m. PT.

Compared to their past tours, tickets to see Eagles' 2024 concerts are expensive due to their Sphere location. While the least expensive standard original ticket prices started at $175 during the presale, the remaining tickets are generally much more expensive. Currently, the cheapest original tickets to Eagles' Sphere residency on Ticketmaster start at $304 for the band's October 19 through November 9 performances.

When the presale for Eagles' December 6–14, 2024 shows goes live, standard original tickets will be more feasible. According to Seated , the starting price for standard original tickets will be $175, $225, $325, and $425 for the four different seating areas at Sphere.

Resale tickets are generally comparable to or less expensive than original tickets for Eagles' 2024 concert tour. The tickets with the lowest cost on StubHub range from $302 for their September 27 show to $378 for the band's October 12 concert. Meanwhile, the least expensive Eagles 2024 tickets on Vivid Seats begin from $264 for their November 8 concert to $343 for the group's show on September 21.

A VIP package is also available for Eagles' 2024 Las Vegas residency. The VIP Experience & Hotel Package starts at $1,451 per person, which includes premium seats at Sphere, a two-night stay at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, a VIP fan experience, and more. Who is opening for Eagles' tour?

Eagles does not have an opening act for their 2024 concert dates. At Sphere, when the lights go down and showtime starts, current band members Don Henley, Vince Gill, Timothy B. Schmit, Deacon Frey, and Joe Walsh will be the ones who come on stage and perform.

So far, Eagles have no international tour dates booked for the rest of 2024. Their only confirmed shows are at Sphere in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it's unclear if they'll add any additional dates elsewhere before the new year.

Eagles' The Long Goodbye Tour came to a close recently in Europe this year, so the band has already played across the globe in 2024 before their Sphere residency. Their European dates included five shows in Manchester, England, and two in the Netherlands, which ended on June 15, 2024.

Sammy Hagar's Best of All Worlds Tour – with Joe Satriani playing the Eddie Van Halen role – is now underway

Sammy Hagar has kicked off his long-awaited Best of All Worlds Tour with a 21-track set at the 20,000-capacity iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, FL, and Van Halen songs made up two-thirds of the set.

Hagar kicked off the evening – in the company of guitarist Joe Satriani , bassist Michael Anthony, drummer Jason Bonham and multi-instrumentalist Rai Thistlethwayte – with a version of Good Enough, the opening track from 1986's 5150 album, before performing two songs from 1991's For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, Poundcake and Runaround. Hagar also played a pair of David Lee Roth-era Van Halen classics in Panama and Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love , while a section of Jump appeared during a medley that also included Montrose's Space Station #5 and Chickenfoot's Oh Yeah .

Elsewhere, Joe Satriani's classic Satch Boogie was performed – a song Deep Purple played regularly during his tenure with them –  as well as Hagar solo classics like There's Only One Way To Rock, Eagles Fly, Heavy Metal and I Can't Drive 55 .

Country music fans have something exciting to look forward to this September. According to reports, Shania Twain steps into the spotlight as the host of the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards. This was announced recently on July 12 and this news has sparked anticipation among fans and music enthusiasts alike.

Twain is known for her chart-topping hits and stage presence. And, her fans and audience are now more excited about the Award show. Wanna know, more details about the same? Delve further and find out.

Twain is gearing up to lead the show from Nashville’s famous Grand Ole Opry House on September 26. This event will be live from the Opry House in Nashville on Sept 26, airing on NBC and Peacock. She is a great singer and her hits like Man! I Feel Like A Woman! And That Don’t Impress Me Much, proves all of this. They just solidify her status as a powerhouse in the music industry.  

According to PEOPLE, Twain is very excited to host the People’s Choice Country Awards . She claimed that Country music has some of the most passionate fans in music and artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what they love. She added, “I’m honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans. So, get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots, and incredible performances. Giddy up!”

The People’s Choice Country Awards debuted last year to much acclaim, and this year promises to be even more spectacular. It will feature categories that resonate with fans such as crossover songs and outstanding tours. The awards aim to recognize the artists who have made significant contributions to the genre.

The Grand Ole Opry House will once again be the epicenter of country music excellence. Twain will lead the festivities as a host. The evening will feature incredible performances, red-carpet arrivals, and various acceptance speeches. The star-studded evening will celebrate the passion and talent that define country music.

Twain’s impact on Country music

Shania Twain’s journey in music spans over three decades. Her journey is filled with Grammy nominations and wins. Throughout her career, she has given timeless hits that fans absolutely enjoy. Jean Neal, NBC Universal Entertainment’s vice president of live events and specials praised Twain. He claimed that Twain has a great history of creating music that lasts through time.

He also believes that the country community really cherishes her music. “Returning to the Grand Ole Opry House, she is the perfect choice to help us honor the best in country music.”

Leading up to her hosting duties, Twain will grace the stage at the Churchill Park Music Festival in Canada. She will perform in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada on August 16, 17, and 18. Yes, this will happen before she heads to Las Vegas for her residency at the Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood. She will perform in Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas, from August 23 and December 14, as part of her residency titled Come on Over: the Las Vegas Residency—All the Hits!
