Jess Glynne Announces A Series Of Live Outdoor Shows For Summer 2024

Today, Jess Glynne announces she’ll perform a series of live outdoor shows across the UK next Summer 2024. From Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre to London’s Crystal Palace Bowl, Glynne’s return to the main stage is set to be one of the hottest tickets for the summer season next year.

Today, Jess Glynne announces she’ll perform a series of live outdoor shows across the UK next Summer 2024. From Scarborough’s Open Air Theatre to London's Crystal Palace Bowl, Glynne's return to the main stage is set to be one of the hottest tickets for the summer season next year.

This news follows the recent arrival of Glynne’s latest single from her newest era of music, ‘Friend of Mine’. The single comes after the summer banger ‘What Do You Do?’, accompanied by an MK Remix and acoustic version. The singles mark a new and more personal chapter for the GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter, who has delivered some of the most memorable dance-pop hits of the past decade.

Speaking on the announcement, Jess said: "Can't wait to get back on stage and go live for all my people! It's gonna be a good year... Let's go."

Presales for Glynne’s exhilarating summer live shows will start Wednesday 25 October, at 9am local time with general on-sale following on Friday 27 October at 9am, local at LiveNation.co.uk.

Jess Glynne made history by becoming the first British female solo artist to score seven number ones on the UK Singles Chart – among them ‘I’ll Be There’, ‘Hold My Hand’ and ‘Don’t Be So Hard on Yourself’. Her two previous Platinum selling albums have both become Number 1 records and she collected three Ivor Novello nominations, won a Grammy, and racked up nine Brit Award nominations and 1.2 billion streams. The singer-songwriter brought in fresh management and switched record label to EMI, relocating to Los Angeles for music of 2022 and honing a new, more vulnerable songwriting style with producers including Greg Kurstin (Sia, Adele), Emile Haynie (Lana Del Rey), Malay (Frank Ocean) and BOOTS (Beyonce).

They added to a tight, five-member writing team: herself, long-time collaborators Knox Brown and Jin Jin, plus grime musician Wretch-32 and Grammy-nominated producer P2J (Wizkid, Stormzy) and she took songwriting inspiration from the likes of Joni Mitchell, Amy Winehouse, Prince and more. 

As Glynne prepares her third album for release, she says ‘It’s a pop record – I’m a pop girl. But there’s a lot of variety. The sound of the record is raw, honest, and vulnerable’ .

Jess Glynne: Everything you need to know about tonight's Scarborough Open Air Theatre show

Chart record holder Jess Glynne is the only British female solo artist to ever score seven UK Number One singles.

Jess’s 2024 six-date outdoor UK Tour is set to be one of the hottest tickets for this year’s summer season.

Jess, who headlined Scarborough OAT in 2017 and 2019, said: “I can't wait to get back on stage and go live for all my people! It's gonna be a good year... let's go!”

The single marks a new and more personal chapter for the GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter, who has delivered some of the most memorable dance-pop hits of the past decade.

Her two previous Platinum-selling albums have both become Number One records and she collected three Ivor Novello nominations, won a GRAMMY, racked up nine BRIT Award nominations and 1.2 billion streams.

The doors open at 6pm and an assortment of Food and Drink stalls are available inside the concert area.

Those driving to the concert will be able to park at a number of places in close proximity to the venue:

• Northstead Upper YO12 6AQ
• Northstead Lower YO12 6PF
• Victoria Park YO12 7TS
• William Street YO12 7PL

In addition, there are a number of car parks located in the Town Centre within a 15-minute walk to the venue.

Note that parking in Council car parks is free AFTER 6pm

Please be considerate and do not park on grass verges, across driveways or where an obstruction may occur.

Bags larger than an A4 piece of paper are not permitted. All bags are subject to a search.

There are three designated smoking areas within the venue. These are located at the North, South and top of the venue.

For Health and Safety reasons, there will not be an opportunity for the general public to leave and re-enter the venue. A strict policy of no re-admission to the venue will be enforced.

Electronic cigarettes are not permitted for use within the venue seating/standing area.

Concerts are only ever cancelled due to the weather if the conditions become dangerous. However, concert goers cannot bring an umbrella, so please dress appropriately. The show will continue to go ahead if it rains and there will be no refunds offered.

I’m not quite sure what it is with the French and New Age music - remember, of course, that this is the country that gave the world Jean-Michel Jarre, the godfather of the genre who plays huge arena shows of massive complexity around the world on a regular basis - but you can count Era, too, alongside the country’s contribution to the style. They’ve sold over twelve million albums of their pseudo-Latin records to date, with all proving hugely successful in their homeland. As is so often the case with this kind of music, though, it really comes to life onstage, with a huge cast of musicians who serve as both orchestra and choir, a selection of lead, female vocalists, and some incredible, interpretive visuals on a huge screen behind the stage lending a transcendental aspect to their most unique of musical styles. Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the sheer scale of the production, they only sporadically put on these shows, but they’re certainly a treat for the eyes and the ears when they do take place.
