Coldplay Announce 2023 Tour Dates

By Matthew Strauss

Coldplay

Coldplay have announced 2023 dates on their world tour in support of Music of the Spheres . Next year, the band will perform in Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, and the Netherlands. Find Coldplay’s schedule and a trailer for the tour below.

Coldplay famously declined to tour in support of Everyday Life for environmental reasons. The band has set out to make the Music of the Spheres World Tour more sustainable, with a press releasing touting concerts powered entirely by renewable energy. For example, there have been solar panels and wind turbines at every venue to help power the shows.

Coldplay: Music Of The Spheres World Tour

Saturday July 15 2023

The morning after the band celebrated six sold out nights in Wembley Stadium in London, Coldplay announced many more European stadium concerts for their Music Of The Spheres World Tour in summer 2023. With dates for the first shows in Portugal, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden and The Netherlands, and shows in the British cities Manchester and Cardiff.

Sinds the band started the record breaking tour in March 2022 in Costa Rica, more than four million tickets for their shows in Latin America, the United States and Europe, that have gotten amazing reviews from both fans and critics; the previously mentioned Wembley shows were no exception.

Groundbreaking sustainable initiatives

The tour was also praised by its groundbreaking sustainable initiatives, such as creating a show that is powered by almost 100% sustainable energy at almost every venue, the first tour worthy batterysystem on Earth (made of 40 electric BMW carbatteries), electric bikes and kinetic dance floors to make fans help create the energy for the concert, solar panels and wind turbines at every venue, a promise to reduce emissions by 50% on their tour, initiatives to motivate fans to travel with green transport and planting one tree for every ticket sold. Want to know more? Head to sustainability.coldplay.com .

Due to special effects, the roof of the Johan Cruijff ArenA will be opened during the Coldplay shows. We recommend keeping an eye on the latest weather forecast to ensure you know what to wear. Think about bringing a cap and applying enough suncream when it’s sunny, or wearing a raincoat if rain is predicted. Umbrella's are not allowed in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. For a complete list of what is allowed in the stadium, please visit the website of Mojo .

Want to check if you can still acquire tickets? The ticket sale happens through Ticketmaster .

Coldplay is one of the best-loved British rock bands in the world, with numerous tours, top sellers and awards to their name. Formed in 1996, the band's original line-up comprised Chris Martin, the lead vocalist, and Jonny Buckland, the lead guitarist, who met at University College in London. Originally the band was called Pectoralz, which later became Starfish after the bassist, Guy Berryman, joined along with drummer Will Champion, who also plays multiple instruments and provides backing vocals. The band finally decided on the new name Coldplay in the same year that they recorded and released their first three EPs: Safety, released in 1998, the single “Brothers and Sisters,” released a year later and “The Blue Room,” also released in 1999. This last single was the band's first major label release with Parlophone. Collaborations include recordings with Jay Z, Nelly Furtado and Rihanna, and the band have also said that Travis were a major influence on their early work, along with Muse, Kate Bush, George Harrison and Echo and the Bunnymen. Later influences include Arcade Fire and My Bloody Valentine. It was their single “Yellow” released in 2000, that launched the band to instant international acclaim, and their debut album, Parachutes, followed later that year, receiving Mercury Prize nominations. Coldplay's second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head, released in 2002, also received widespread critical praise and won a range of awards, including the prestigious Album of the Year award from NME. The next album release was X & Y, which was also well received, and the fourth album release was Viva la Vida, or Death and All His Friends in 2008, which earned them a number of wins at the Grammy Awards. Their fifth album, Mylo Xyloto was a chart topper in 34 countries. The band has also won a large number of awards, including seven Grammys, five MTV Music Awards, and eight BRITs, with over 25 nominations in all. Coldplay have sold over 60 million records across the world and have toured extensively across Europe, the Americas, Australia, Asia and Africa. They also strongly support a range of political and social causes and have performed extensively in charity concerts, including Live 8, the Teenage Cancer Trust, Band Aid 20, Hope for Haiti Now, Sound Relieve and the Secret Policeman's Ball.

Exceptional, except.....

I'm still giving it 5 stars cause this one is on me. I applied for that vacation date from the start of the year, fought for tickets and flew over....only to arrive early and sit through a bunch of other artists for 2.5 hrs. I had arranged my pickup which arrived just before coldplay came on stage and could only hear the cheers and see the fireworks as I walked away crying, lol! Yeah, the fine prints said guest artists. I just didn't realize the extent of stage time that would be given to them would be that great. Anywho, been a fan for years. Hope I actually get to see them live one day.

Amazing!!!!

It was the best concert I've ever been too! Totally worth it! A concert you would never forget!

Please come to charlotte

Me and my sis have so many childhood memories with coldplays music and have been fans for awhile and then when they collabed with BTS I just hope to see coldplay one day. My dad passed away years ago and i have so many memories with "fix you"and a lot of other older colplay songs 💜💜💜

ONE OF THE BEST CONCERTS

Coldplay was by far one of the BEST EXPERIENCES I have had in a concert. Just AMAZING! Worth it and next concert I plan to get a different ticket for a different experience.

Over the top!

So, so good! Amazing! Please come to south-eastern United States. Or south central US. Can't wait to see you guys again. Stay healthy and strong. Love you guys.

indeed once in a life time experience, thank you Coldplay ❤️

The BEST night ever!!!

This was my second Coldplay concert and I traveled all the way from the East coast to Seattle for the show! No regrets at all. I had GA tickets and was able to get front row at the end of the runway. The whole concert from start to finish was amazing! Coldplay is the best live act I think you could see. Chris interacts with the crowd and makes everyone feel like they are a part of the show! Can’t wait for the next show 🥹

Amazing-Amazing-Amazing! Coldplay put on a fun filled and interactive concert. From peddling the bikes, jumping on the trampoline to create energy for the following concert, wearing the wristbands that were handed out and lit up as songs played, to the giant balls and balloons that took over and filled the floor was nothing short of amazing. Many if not all were dancing and singing along to the lyrics. Definitely a must see concert for all!

Inside Scoop on Coldplay’s Epic San Diego Concert!

Seeing Coldplay rock out in San Diego was epic! Incredible vibes, mind-blowing visuals, and tunes that hit you right in the feels. Absolutely rad and unforgettable! Can’t wait to next opportunity…perhaps Vegas!

Best concert ever

Amazing experience, wonderful artist and great time. Counts for an evening well spent

Recent tour reviews

I had always heard Coldplay were a fantastic band to see live. They did not disappoint last night at Fedex Field, right in the midst of their joyous and decidedly over-the-top Head Full of Dreams tour.

The show began with an explosion of color and light (including the LED wristbands supplied to every concertgoer) in the titular track on the band's touring album. Then came fan-favorite "Yellow," followed by "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall," the ever-popular "The Scientist," and "Birds" (the latter was a bit of a personal disappointment as it replaced the brilliant "God Put a Smile Upon Your Face" from recent setlists). This part of the show finished with the anthem "Paradise," featuring an incredible remix outro.

Next the show slowed down for an intimate trio of songs (most of us actually took a seat). This included one of the better tracks from the sub-par "Ghost Stories", "Magic."

Soon, however, things picked up with the timeless piano strokes of "Clocks," themed to a magical red light show. Next came the lighthearted "Charlie Brown." Before it began, lead singer Chris Martin asked everyone to put away their phones and simply enjoy the show. This was followed by the radio hit "Hymn for the Weekend," a candlelit (okay...Iphone flashlight lit) "Fix You," and "Viva la Vida." This last one was remarkable, as nearly the entire stadium knew the lyrics and sang along to the triumphant "Oh-oh-ohhhh" chant. The groovy "Adventure of a Lifetime" finished off this section, featuring Chris gettin' down with the audience, asking everyone to "Get low!"

Then came the highlight of the night for me: an acoustic quad of older (*cough* better *cough*) Coldplay songs which were as intimate as they were nostalgic. The lovely riffs of "In my Place" started off the set. "Don't Panic" was sung by drummer Will Champion; it's one of my favorites. But it couldn't top what was (for me) the best song of the night: "Trouble." Somber but beautiful in its own way, "Trouble" is a rare find in the setlists of today's Coldplay and was absolutely fantastic. Finally came another rare gem: "Green Eyes," which was somewhat marred by Chris's well-intentioned attempt at giving the local Redskins some luck (HA! what folly) by changing the lyrics.

The finale of the show was the hopeful and popular trio of "Something Just like This," "A Sky Full of Stars," and "Up and Up." This last track was played against the backdrop of the magical and visually stunning music video for the song.

And if there were two adjectives to sum up the show as a whole, they would be just that: magical and visually stunning. Thanks for an awesome show, Coldplay!

First of all I need to just say wow! Wow! Yesterday I experienced one of the greatest nights of my life. Yesterday I really did feel like I was part of something special, something so big and beautiful. The love, the happiness and the excaitment people were feeling last night were something you can't put words on. We stood in the rain for so many hours, we sat in a que and then we stood in the rain again.. but let me just say that when Coldplay came on stage they put on the best god damn show ever. You could really feel their thankfulness during the show. They promised us (in Chris Martins own words) "The best fucking show ever" and let me tell you it was! During the night I got to experience people from different countries dancing and singing along together, I got to experience that moment when Chris decided to write a new song about Sweden and Gothenburg! The night was amazing in so many ways. And just as he said during the night, that he believes when people are working together and last night everybody in that arena stood together. We celebrated the music, the evening and most of all we celebrated the love. Because in the end of the day Love is what matters and it will always win.

Yesterday was beautiful, just pure beautiful!

It may not be an intimate experience but considering the legions of fans that they have only a concert can accommodate everyone who are waiting all their lives for a chance to hear them live. and they never disappoint. A total performance complete with lasers and light and firework BUT without much fanfare, just them singing & playing their hearts OUT song after song alone or in harmony with the fans some crying, most gleefully dancing to their upbeat song or swaying OR slow dancing to slow Fix You or Yellow and probably thinking of someone they "cannot replace". Chris Martin is an awesome guy and so are the rest of the band. May their personal lives be as awesome as their professional lives, they deserve that too. as to Singapore, it may not be as engaging as it would be in the Philippines but hey, no one can complain; i had the best time celebrating my birthday in one of the best stadium this side of town with around 50K Coldpay fans celebrating with me :) :). Long live Coldplay, may you continue to bring joy to you fans worldwide. Looking forward to another Coldplay concert experience in the future.

Beyond the stream of shock stage entrances, fans are guaranteed to see either Camila Cabello and H.E.R. in the supporting slot on select dates this fall. There’s been no confirmation on openers for the 2023 legs, but it seems the band has a whole “Sky Full of Stars” to pick from.

Shakira Joins Bizarrap at Coachella, Announces World Tour

Shakira just joined Bizarrap , the Argentine DJ and hitmaker instrumental in her massive comeback, for her first-ever Coachella appearance at the Sahara Tent.

After introducing herself with a she-wolf howl, the Colombian pop legend took the mic to perform two collaborations with Bizarrap: “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53,” the scathing 2023 highlight of her new album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran , as well as their club-ready banger, “La Fuerte.” A swarm of screaming fans scrambled to the front, waving Argentine and Mexican flags to welcome the diva to the desert.

Shakira also broke some big news onstage: she’s embarking on a world tour to promote Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran . “Starting here this November, in this city,” she added, though it was unclear whether she meant the City of Indio.

Jellyroll vs. Jelly Roll: Pennsylvania Band Sues Country Star for Trademark Infringement

Inside jimmy buffett's tribute concert: mccartney, margaritas, and one hell of a parrothead party, rico wade, producer with atlanta's pioneering organized noize, dead at 52, lana del rey brings romantic hits — and billie eilish — to enchanting coachella set.

Shakira’s Coachella debut comes months after a Hits Daily Double report alleged that her team pushed for her to headline the festival, but that “Coachella ultimately passed.” In March, Shakira drew a crowd of more than 40,000 in Times Square as she performed songs from Las Mujeres No Lloran .

In a  Rolling Stone review , Suzy Exposito wrote about the album: “Shakira finally gets to turn the page on these tempestuous past two years, and reintroduce herself — not as Shakira the soccer mom, nor Shakira the heartbroken — but Shakira fucking Mebarak, international pop icon and undefeated champ.”

Masters 2024 props, golf odds: Expert reveals top PGA Tour prop bets, parlay picks for Augusta National

Mike mcclure locked in his expert pga golf prop picks and parlay for the masters 2024 at augusta national.

world tour 2023 coldplay

The first 2024 Masters tee times will begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Thursday after weather delayed the start of the opening round. At 100-1 to win outright in the 2024 Masters odds, it's unlikely that Tiger Woods will pick up his sixth career green jacket this week at the Masters 2024. However, there are still plenty of intriguing Masters Tiger props on the board for golf bettors to consider before he tees off. The latest 2024 Masters prop bets list Woods' Round 1 score over/under at 73.5, with the Over favored at -165 (risk $165 to win $100).

Other Tiger prop picks include a top-10 overall finish paying +900 and a top-20 performance returning +350. Which 2024 Masters props should you target involving Woods and every other golfer in the 2024 Masters field? Before locking in your 2024 Masters prop picks or entering Masters pool picks, you need to see what SportsLine DFS pro and PGA expert Mike McClure has to say .

McClure is a DFS legend with over $2 million in career winnings, and he's been red-hot on his PGA picks dating back to the PGA Tour restart in June of 2020. McClure uses his proprietary simulation model to analyze the field and crush his  golf picks . He is up almost $9,500 on his best bets since the restart.

McClure's model predicted Jon Rahm would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend. Anyone who has followed McClure's picks has seen massive returns.

Now, McClure has dialed in on the Masters golf tournament and just locked in his top prop picks and PGA predictions. You can only see McClure's Masters 2024 prop picks at SportsLine .

Top 2024 Masters prop picks

We can tell you that one of McClure's favorite Masters prop picks is Ludvig Aberg to be the top debutant at +275. Despite turning pro less than a year ago, Aberg comes to Augusta in strong form. He's already picked up wins on both the PGA Tour and European Tour in the past seven months.

He's also made every cut during his 2024 PGA Tour schedule and hasn't finished worse than 25th in his past six events. His average finish position during that span is 12.8 and he's posted four rounds of 66 or lower this year, including an astonishing 63 in Round 4 of the Sentry. Wyndham Clark is the only other first-time Masters player who can claim a comparable recent run to Aberg, so McClure loves the value of betting on Aberg at a return that approaches 3-1.  You can see who else to back at SportsLine .

How to make Masters 2024 prop picks

McClure has also locked in a slew of other prop bets for the 2024 Masters, including a prop that pays almost 20-1 and comes from an unlikely player. You can find out who it is, and check out all of McClure's Masters prop picks at SportsLine .

Who wins the Masters 2024, and which golfer should you target for almost a 20-1 payout? Visit SportsLine now to get Mike McClure's Masters 2024 prop picks, all from the golf expert who is up almost $9,500 on his best bets since 2020 , and find out.

Tour Sweden's World of Volvo before It Opens

  • Volvo is about to open a new museum in Gothenburg, Sweden.
  • The World of Volvo is situated near Volvo Group headquarters and only 14 miles from the Gothenburg airport.
  • We got a behind-the-scenes look ahead of its grand opening on April 14.

BMW Welt, a stone toss away from the company's HQ in Munich Germany, has Double Cones. The Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen has a 911 kebab—or, as they call it, "Porscheplatz"—out front. And now, in the heart of downtown Gothenburg, Sweden, there are three giant tree trunks—the arms and legs of Volvo's new museum, exhibit, delivery program, meeting place, and eatery—World of Volvo.

Volvo invited us to explore the new facility ahead of its grand opening on April 14, which by no accident is the very day 97 years ago that the Swedish automaker's first vehicle, the four-door ÖV4, left its assembly line. The nearly 240,000-square-foot chunk of Gothenburg was designed by the Danish architecture group Henning Larson . It stands 14 miles from the Gothenburg-Landvetter airport and just 11 miles east of Torslanda, the home of Volvo Group headquarters and its oldest plant.

The space is Swedish beautiful. Its lack of extravagant shiny metals or spaceship style makes it feel real, welcoming, and warm. We overheard more than just a few fellow media guests compliment the spruce and pine fragrance that acts as a natural canopy over the structure's smooth concrete floors. The top floor, home to several rentable conference halls and classrooms, conceals the nearby highway thanks to the tilted roof below it. It took four years to design and construct, using some 2800 tons of lumber, and a few leftover lamp bulbs from the SAAB gearbox building that once occupied a portion of its space.

World of Volvo is five stories tall, and while its entrance honors Sweden's " Allemansrätten ," or "everyman's right to roam," with free admission, its grandiose event space, colorful and interactive exhibits, and restaurant run by Michelin-star chef Stefan Karlsson each require a handful of Swedish krona.

Its debut exhibit is a balance of Volvo's history, its pledge to safety, and future products. There are distracted-driving simulations, VR goggles, and an area that lets you scoop rubber balls out of a pit with a mini Volvo excavator. One clever installation shows the role speed plays in a car accident, using a stack of wooden chairs. It's an interesting way to see crashing without a seatbelt at 15 km/h (9 mph) versus crashing at 30 km/h (19 mph). The lesson? Not wearing a seatbelt is about as smart as falling headfirst from a stack of eight chairs.

Of course, there is no shortage of Volvo cars, concepts, trucks, and technology featured here. The Volvo Experimental Safety Car (VESC) is impossible to overlook. This concept, which originally debuted at the Geneva auto show in 1972, was a test bed for all types of innovative safety equipment: front and rear airbags, concealed headrests that would deploy during a crash, a steering wheel that would pull away from the driver during a collision, and a 6.5-mm F/1.8 rear-facing camera that would feed video to a CRT screen in the dash.

In another room, one of the White Buses sat parked. Painted white, with red crosses on the roof to avoid being bombed by allies during their attempt to ferry more than 15,000 prisoners to Sweden, these buses served a heroic purpose toward the end of World War II. The display is surrounded by literature about the nurses, drivers, and soldiers who carried such a dangerous undertaking.

The Volvo YCC was on display. We asked if we could take it home, but were told no. The YCC (Your Concept Car) originally debuted at the 2004 Geneva auto show and was created by an all-female crew for women. It had a special compartment to store a purse, a headrest designed to comfortably accommodate a ponytail, and washable seats. The team also gave the YCC gullwing doors and the special project would go on to win many awards for its design and effort.

There are other vehicles on display, such as tractors, boats, logging trucks, and semi-trucks. The white F88 from the 1970s wears its significance across the top of its cab. Globetrotter was the top trim level of Volvo trucks, and the moniker is still used today on its trucks specifically designed for long travel. That takes you back to a time when refrigerators, kitchens, and spacious cabs were inspired by companies building trucks in America.

The FH, Volvo's biggest-selling truck ever, is on display behind the F88. It was the first to be built, in 1993. This FH12 was just the start to the Volvo trucks sold today, which are now offered with a range of electric, gasoline, and diesel powertrains. Exhibits big and small enter the space via a massive freight elevator just outside the building that can carry up to 48,500 pounds of Volvo history. Which is more ice wine than we're able to drink in a single visit.

The World of Volvo building will become home to its Overseas Delivery service, making its location relative to the airport and assembly plant so crucial. The site, which is the result of a collaborative effort between Volvo Cars and Volvo Group, is intended to be the home of future product reveals, TED talks, and—we hope— Car and Driver editors, because we so desperately want to play with those excavators again.

Tickets are available at the World of Volvo website or can be purchased at check-in. Choose an annual pass to get a small discount for future events while enjoying unlimited visits throughout the year.

The old Volvo museum closed its doors in December 2023, but the new World of Volvo location is a Swedish experience like never before.
