Imagine experiencing the best of Indian beauty in just one week, with all luxury that you could ask for. I never expected that adventure and luxury can be experienced in one single journey until I first walked through the red carpet traditional welcome with musicians and other performers. Turns out, Palace on Wheels is all about recreating the royal experience of the coronation heirs of the land.

The train took us through some of the emblematic destinations of the land and each destination was focused on exposing a specific essence of the land. Days are spent exploring the terrain of the land, spotting end-less masterpieces of the past and natural beauty. By night, the train gets to the party mode. The lounge holds a large collection of international and local alcoholic beverages. With music in the air and like-minded people around you, ‘paradise’ will be an underrating adjective for Palace on Wheels vacation .

Our adventure started at New Delhi and take us through cities of Rajasthan to cover sam sand dunes, colorful culture, camel-focused lifestyle, marvelous pieces of architecture and the unparalleled hospitality. The tour ended with the grand finale of the marble mausoleum, Taj Mahal .

Onboard, the first impression of the cabin is the royal-contemporary nostalgic look. However, each element of the cabin starting from the embroidery work on my sheets to the wall hangings, each speck of decoration brought its connects with the land. Please note:

• 10% Surcharge will be charged on departure during Christmas/New Year.
• Service Tax @ 3.09% will be levied on the fare of Royal Rajasthan on Wheels.
• 15 USD per pax per journey will be charged against the payment of commercial tax in addition to the tariff mentioned above.
• Children younger than 5 years will be charged 10% of total cost (Age proof of children is to be provided, which is required at the time of issuance of tickets).
• 50% fare for the children of 5-12 years.
• No charter is allowed to be booked during Christmas & New Year period.
• Tariffs are subject to change without prior information.

Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation along with the Indian Railways , introduced the first luxury train of India in 1982, called the Palace on Wheels . The train is inspired by the personal carriages of former Maharajas, Nizams and Viceroys of India and takes you to the past ages of Indian royalty. This royal like train was awarded as the World’s 4th Best Luxury Train in the year 2010 for it offers an outstanding and authentic tour.

Palace on Wheels offers gorgeous accommodations, fantastic foods on board, marvelous tours, entrance fees to the touristic attractions, comfortable transfers from the train stations to the attractions sites and back, amazing lunch or dinner in the visiting cities and a personal butler that will take care of every need during the entire trip, all of this is included in Palace on Wheels train package.

Delhi The luxurious Royal Rajasthan on Wheels takes you through a seven day exploration of the vibrant Rajasthan. The magic of the splendid journey begins at New Delhi and prepares you to weave the fabric of delightful imagination becoming reality over the next seven days. Your royal journey begins from Delhi and takes you through various erstwhile princely states. Welcome on board at Delhi with the ceremonial greetings at the safdarjung station with traditional aarti and tika with garlanding and some mock tails to refresh your selves. After check in, you would be escorted to the respective cabins. Feel the difference of the World in the moving Palace which empowers luxury and tradition hand to hand.

Jodhpur the second largest city of the state of Rajasthan is famous for its magnificent Meharangarh fort. Another example of Rajput glory is the Jaswant Thada built in 1899. Lunch at the beautiful 5 star deluxe heritage hotel & dinner on board.

The story is a saga of valor, tenacity & sacrifice. The fort of Chittorgarh is a treasure trove of history & offers to the traveler an insight into the life of the great Rajput rulers. The victory tower or Vijay Stambh is one of the main tourist attractions of the fort. Gaumukh reservoir & the palace of queen Padmini are important spots to the south of the Rana Kumbha palace. Located in the eastern part of Rajasthan, Sawai Modhupur?s claim to fame today is the Ranthambore Fort & Ranthambore National Park. Visit the national park to catch a glimpse of the majestic tigers roaming around in the open wilderness & also pay a visit to the imposing fort to turn a page in the history of Rajasthan. There is also a temple on route the park by the name of Amareshwar Mohadeo temple which can be visited by tourist.

The 9th to 12th century temples of Khajuraho is the evidences of the architectural geniuses during the times of chandela dynasty. situated in Madhya Pradesh, India, Khajuraho oozes with passion, eroticism, dance & music & other finesses of creative arts depicted in sculpture & images of the temples were built in north Indian ?Nagara? style of architure, though only 20 of them have survived the rough weather conditions over long years of time. Varanasi is the oldest city of the world. Varanasi is more than 3000 years old & is famous as the city of temples. In Varanasi, there are temples at every few paces. The Ganga Ghats (river front) are the most popular pilgrimage spot of Varanasi & are centers of music & learning. This princely saloon is especially designed for spacious living with the comfort of royal suite. Some basic features of this suite include silk and velvet bedsheets, perfectly carved wooden furniture, ottoman, sofa-chairs, writing table and colour-coordinated draperies. It is named after the Emerald and Diamond, the two precious stones.

This serves as your personal imperial chamber, especially meant for the contemporary style living. Besides the silk furnishings, the room is beautifully adorned with co-ordinated colour schemes and world class furniture. Equipped with all the modern and luxurious amenities, the rooms follow three different themes in hues of precious jewels such as Ruby, Sapphire and Pearl. It starts from US$ 9780 per couple for Treasures of India 3 night journey in a deluxe cabin and can go up to US$ 49,780 for a couple in the presidential suite on a 6 Nights journey. Taxes extra.

In INR the amount of the Maharajas Express ticket price will be same as the dollar amount converted into INR as per prevailing exchange rate on the date of payment. In case of part-payment the convert INR amount will also vary as per exchange rate on the RBI website.

To be Launched in Oct 2019,this Deluxe AC Train will operate on TWO different Rajasthan circuits of 4 Nights duration each from New Delhi/New Delhi -both covering Forts & Palaces of Rajasthan. The Majestic Rajasthan Tourist train will only operate between last week of September till first week of April & departs from New Delhi on limited Mondays of the Month.

The concept of Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train r is that overnight you travel from one destination to another, on-board the centrally air-conditioned Deluxe Category train & in day-time enjoy pre-arranged sightseeing tours. It is only in limited destinations that you are taken to Hotel Rooms to freshen up.

Guest have choice to book Sleeper Berths either 2nd AC Sleeper Or 1st AC Cabins. The Package Cost of train tour includes Daily Three Meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) & bed tea/coffee service with Group sightseeing Tours by AC Deluxe Buses with Guide & monument entrance fee included. Some of the meals are served off-board in Hotels ,during sightseeing Tours . It is only in Jaipur(one day) ,that Guests have the facility to visit Hotel room to freshen up.

The Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train Tour is of Deluxe Category & CANNOT BE COMPARED to other luxury train tours like PALACE ON WHEELS etc. covering Rajasthan .This Tourist Train is targeted towards Upper Middle Income travellers, who want to experience journey across Rajasthan with pre-arranged sightseeing tours in a clean, secure & comfortable environment and WITHOUT either Partaking long Road Journeys Or Avoid Daily Hotel Room check in/check out.

Facilities On Board

The Centrally Air-Conditioned Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train is of Deluxe Category & Guests options to book Sleeper Berths in either 2nd AC Sleeper (only sharing) Or 1st AC Cabins(either on sharing Or exclusive basis).. There are Two Dining Cars on board the train, where freshly cooked meals from On Board Kitchen are served. There are Two Dedicated attendants, servicing Each Saloon/Carriage & there are separate attendants for service in Dining Rooms. There is no privacy in 2nd AC Sleeper ,BUT in 1st AC Cabin you have choice to either share cabin with 3 other persons Or book 1st AC Cabin on exclusive basis .In both 2nd AC Sleeper -& 1st AC Cabins & there are two upper & two lower cushioned berths & bedding is provided for night journey .In 1st AC Coupes (where only 2 persons book to travel) there is One Upper & One Lower berth. There is NO BAR Facility on the train. Thirty Passengers in One Saloon/Carriage have to share Two Common Showers & Two Toilets facility All guests are allotted private safes & w-fi facility is only available in Dining Cars . For 2nd AC passengers ,there is limited facility of cushioned chairs next to French size windows. There are adequate security guards on board the train, to ensure that regular train passengers DO NOT board this Tourist Train. The Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train is owned by Indian Railways & its operations are handled by IRCTC. The carriages of this AC Tourist Train were built in October 2018.

Both the Journeys of Majestic Rajasthan Tourist Train operate from New Delhi/New Delhi over 4 nights duration, Departing from New Delhi on limited Monday mornings of the month. While three destinations of Jaipur, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer remain COMMON in both journeys, ONLY DIFFERENCE being

• while One Journey Covers additional destination of Agra Taj Mahal
• & other journey covers additional destination of Mandawa, Shekhawati

• To process booking ,From Foreign Passport Holders we require their Passport Copy AND Indians can forward Any Govt. Issued Photo Id Residence Proof (viz Either Passport Or Aadhar Or Driving Licence etc.)
• in case of Children < 12 yrs. –travelling with you, we also require their date of age proof
• Booking will be confirmed on receipt of 25% advance deposit of total ticket value (inclusive taxes) & Balance Payment must reach us at least 40 days before depart.
• Option to pay either by Swift Wire Transfer Or Credit Card Or NEFT/RTGS Bank Transfer

Cancellation Policy:

• Cancellation request must be made in writing & acknowledged by us
• Bookings cancelled more than 48 days will attract 10% (ten) levy on gross value of ticket cost
• Bookings cancelled between 47 days & more than 18 days before train tour depart will attract minimum 25% (twenty five) levy on gross value of ticket cost
• Bookings cancelled between 17 days & more than 10 days before train tour depart will attract minimum 50% (fifty) levy on gross value of ticket cost
• Bookings cancelled less than 10 days before train tour depart will attract full 100% levy on gross value of ticket cost
• Changes in Journey Date OR Names of Passengers will be governed by Cancellation Rules
• It is mandatory For All Foreign Passport Holders ,to have Indian Visa ,prior to boarding flight to India
• The Train Tour Operator(IRCTC ) reserves the right to cancel scheduled depart due to low occupancy OR technical reasons & in such a case You will be pre-informed on GIVEN CONTACT DETAILS
• in case train tour gets cancelled full 100% refund will be MADE of advance received for train tour booking ( with zero cancellation fee)
