Oh dear. A thread that has been dead for around 9 months is dug up just to post an advert.

It is also worth noting that Trust Pilot is itself not to be trusted, as the New Zealand consumer authorities have busted it for taking payments to boost ratings.

However, it's laughably inept self promotion, 10 months too late!

How lovely. Must have been really good service for the first thing you do when getting back from holiday is join TA and dig up an old post to recommend these guys !

just a quick heads up regarding trusted travel, I booked up 12 days parking through them with Happy Days Parking. I have just had an email from Happy Days Parking saying Trusted Travel had defaulted with payments over the last few months. I phoned both Happy Days Parking & Trusted Travel, the former explained the situation the latter never answered the phone so in short I had to pay for the same parking twice. Happy Days Parking did give me a nice discount but I have still paid twice.

I should have known really because about 3 years ago I parked onsite at Stanstead Airport through Trusted Travel when I got there they had no record of my booking, luckily I had printed my confirmation so they let me park & made a note but on my return it took about an hour to get out of the cark park. This time I checked on here & tripadvisor so I thought all the was well as there were no negative comments, more fool me

Avoid Trusted Travel !!!

I booked and paid for Airport Lounge for the family in September for travel next week (19th Dec). They have today cancelled my booking without proper explanation, stating they are only the agent and there is nothing they can do. No offer of compensation only that I will be refunded in up to 10 days time!

All lounges are now fully booked. I would advise that you book direct with the lounge provider. Whilst you may pay slightly more your booking will be guaranteed. As I understand it Trusted Travel take bookings and then try to buy up unused spaces nearer the time at reduced prices. The post above on 10th Dec seems indicative also of the way they operate.

I received an email from Trusted Travel staring thst my booking had been cancelled. The email also stated that the refund would clear my account within 5-10 working days. I still have not received a refund even though Trusted Travel was quick to charge my credit card!!!

What is more, I have sent 3 emails and received no response. I have also called countless times no one has picked up the phone or returned my call. It feels like Trusted Travel is a fraudulent company.

How to Find Cheap Airport Parking Anywhere

A irport parking is not only an inconvenience, but an added expense to any trip. Due to its necessity for many, travellers are often left at the mercy of airports when it comes to parking costs. And that  is a serious bummer!

If you think there's no way to slash this aspect of your trip, think again. Here's how to find cheap airport parking, and snatch those travel dollars back!

1. Find a hotel that provides long-term parking

Airport hotels can offer better long-term parking rates than parking lots,  plus  include a one-night stay. But how to find cheap airport parking that includes a hotel too?

Park Sleep Fly is a special search engine that rounds up hotels that provide parking with a 1-night stay. Simply enter how long you need to park your car (e.g. days, weeks, a month), and the site will list options and prices.

2. Find a nearby parking lot

Airport Parking Reservations  and  Way.com are broad search engines that search across a variety of airport parking lots and hotels to find you the cheapest possible rate on airport parking. They each have different selections, so be sure to compare both. Each parking listing has real user reviews and photos, and clearly lists amenities such as shuttle service and on-site security. Confirmation is immediate upon booking, so you can drive straight to the lot. Just keep in mind the proximity to the airport itself, especially if you have excessive luggage (ideally, drop it off first!).

3. Park at the airport, with a discount

Park'n'fly is a large chain of airport parking locations with a worldwide reach. Their parking lots are all very close to the airport (or often in it!) and the rates are competitive. They frequently have promotions to save you money, and currently you can get 10% off the posted rate when booking online. They also have a “frequent parker program”, so if you travel a lot, you can get a discount by making multiple bookings.

4. Use alternatives to parking

While driving yourself may be tempting, here's some other ways of getting yourself to the airport that could save you money!

5. Rent out your car while it's parked

If your car is sitting in a parking lot while you're away, why not rent it out and earn money back instead? There are a growing number of websites offering this sharing-based service including:

This company is not operating. The parking could not be honoured by the actual car park company as they had not received payments from Trusted Travel. I needed to pay again and claim the original payment to Trusted Travel via my credit card. Despite numerous emails - I received nothing back from Trusted Travel. Do not use this company.

cheap and efficient

I would recommend this company and not just for being the cheapest around. We have had to change and then unfortunately cancel our booking. All along we have had a quick polite response and ended in a very satisfactory position, so much so we have booked them again in April. I cannot however comment any further as we did not physically use them.

Company Possibly Gone Under?

Have used them in the past, and they seem to be pretty good in terms of price offering (I had a 50% off lifetime membership I bought from Wowcher for £2 a good few years ago). However, when trying to book through their website now, it fails to load and gives an error message. Reading all the recent reviews I believe the company possibly has gone under and may no longer be trading.

Company has ceased trading do not use.

Company has ceased trading do not use. If you booked with them like me your booking means nothing and you will have have to pay again if they have space or book elsewhere and then try and claim a refund. Also the company there charged me almost double i thought they could at least honour the original cost paid or the difference.

AVOID this company

AVOID this company. Had to give 1 star but that is 1 too many. When we arrived at the designated park, we were told that they were no longer honouring bookings from Trusted Travel as they were not sending payments to the car park stated. I have tried to contact on numerous occasions but only received automated responses stating a ticket has been reported - never received anything from them. Avoid, avoid, avoid!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!, on arrival at site we were not allowed in as they said they were overbooked and a different company look manage the site. Basically got fobbed off, told to ring up and email for refund, did both of these got nowere, recieved email to say accounts sorting refund, still waiting 2 weeks later, emailed again reply was accounting error, load of crap, please please stay away from this company and save your money, you wont get it back no matter what they say. if i could give zero stars i would...........

AVOID! Similar story to previous disgruntled customers. This company are definitely NOT to be trusted. We booked and payed £70 for airport parking at Manchester and were told on our arrival at the carpark that they were no longer honouring agreements with Trusted Travel customers. We had to pay another £70 in order to park our car or miss our flight! I to contacted Trusted Travel 6 weeks ago for a refund but have heard nothing back other than an automatic email to say a 'ticket' had been issued.

Criminal Car parking companies.

As with other reviews we booked through Trusted travel when we arrived at Manchester, care parks informed us that they would not honour our booking. We then had no choice but to pay again which was more than we originally paid. Both care parks and trusted travel are responsible they allowed them to be there agents in the first place. After our holiday we couldn't contact anyone even the banks are no help. people are sick of being screwed over by these criminals. Care parks are as culpable as trusted travel in this, they knew we had no choice but to pay again because we had a plane to catch. both companies are a disgrace. 0 stars.

This company has ceased trading however continuing to take bookings. I made a reservation to use Toad Road car parking through 'Trusted Travel' only to find there wasn't a space reserved for me on the day I was due to fly and subsequently had to pay Car Care who own the premisis separately. I will be making a claim through my bank account against Trusted Travel

An absolute scam of a company

After booking meet & greet parking at Heathrow we returned after an 11 hr flight to find out TT had not paid the parking company, who then demanded an extra £80 to release our car. Not what was needed after a long journey. Absolutely NO response from “Trusted Travel” never a more ironic business name. DISGUSTING!!

We Midlands Parking will provide you with our services as normal , and you would be required to pay parking charges £60 on arrival . Three emails now to a Trusted Travel re their non payment to car parking company for Manchester Airport Parking and being turned away on 16 September. Having to find car parking at another car park and having to pay an exhorbitant price. Have received 1 generic email from Trusted Travel on 19 September stating that they will get back within 48 hours but it’s often much sooner!!! What a joke. They had no trouble taking my money

BUYER BEWARE

Buyer beware! Complete fraudulent refund policy! Booked a reservation for a week long parking space at the Denver Airport Double Tree. As per their cancellation policy I cancelled via online prior to the reserved time. Their policy states a full refund is provided. I was suspicious when completing the cancellation I hit send and it immediately said it was received but, that received notice disappeared immediately. It disappears so fast I couldn't get a picture. I even cancelled a second time with the same immediate disappearance of the acknowledgment. After a very long wait and two disconnects I spoke with an agent. I waited while she checked with the hotel to verify that I did not use their lot. Disconnected again. I called again and she stated the hotel had no paperwork to verify my claim. The hotel requires you to fill out paper work before leaving and in order to ride their shuttle, so of course they had no paper work because I never used their lot. Surprisingly, she asked me why I cancelled, like that would matter. Interesting how they provide no negative reviews on their website. Complete scam!

No shuttle left stranded

When I booked my parking it said free shuttle from 7 am to 11pm. It even said that in my confirmation email. The shuttle stopped running at 10 pm and left me stranded at the airport with my son late at night. When I called I was told it's not there problem shuttle times may vary and to pay for a cab. I spent alot on my vacation and did not have money set aside for a taxi. When I called the hotel they said that had been there shuttle time for over a year that I booked through a 3rd party website to complain to them and get an Uber. This is awful

I purchased a parking pass for the Las…

I purchased a parking pass for the Las Vegas Airport this month. I didn’t receive a confirmation, so I had to jump through hoops to talk to a human. The confirmation was then emailed. I was told that all instructions are on the confirmation page and to talk to the hotel about parking. If anyone has been to Las Vegas, they know that the hotels are casinos and finding an employee is difficult. Ultimately, there was no designated parking spot that we paid for and there was no hotel employee to call the shuttle to take us to the airport. As always-Excellent

As always, our experience with Budget Parking was excellent. Drivers and booth personnel were friendly and helpful. Our return driver was especially helpful as the area around our car was very icy and he went the extra steps to make sure we got into our car safely.

Cancel policy is a LIE....

Make sure you don't need to cancel. Even though their policy states cancel within 24 hours of making a reservation you get a full refund including service fee... They keep the service fee. False advertising. Fraudulent. How many people get screwed? All you can do is send refund request through email. They take over 24 hours to respond. That's not the customers fault. I was booking a 2 night parking at…

I was booking a 2 night parking at Embassy Suites at LAX. (where I stayed for 2 nights) The website didn't say anything that it was a NORTH or SOUTH location, so I booked 2 nights at the wrong location - thinking there was only one Embassy Suites. So, I had to pay for 2 nights parking at the hotel and Airportparking refused to help or refund - because I had started the reservation... I did not start the reservation because I was booked at the wrong place. IF they had stated Embassy Suites NORTH or SOUTH, I would have realized that there were two locations. Super disappointing.

I reserved from this website for a DFW airport hotel for parking starting 5 am. But hotel did not even have shuttle at that time. I called AirportParking to cancel reservation They charged $5 even when you cancel within 30 minutes of reservation. Polite Staff, Outstanding Service

Service received when parking and when coming for my car were both outstanding. I got in during parking in the early hours and came at almost midnight, staff were polite, shuttle was prompt, and had no negatives to complain about. TAXI OR SHUTTLE SERVICE, CHECK RATES!

Rodeway Inn Nashville has cheaper parking rates than most others but there is no disclosure regarding their shuttle service. When we arrived, we were told the ride to the airport is $35 and expected this would cover picking us up for the return shuttle. Picking us up went well for the return, but then we were told for the "taxi service" on return would be be another $35. None of this taxi service was disclosed at the time of our parking reservation. We will never use them again. No disclosure regards "taxi" service.

Horrible system

Horrible system. I purchased a pass an hour before checking. Never got an email and yes I know where to look, (I got an MS in computer science). I had to pay at the parking because never got it. It took 20 mins to get hold of someone and because it was passed the check in they won’t refund me and the lady with the asian accent hung up on me.

Insensitive and unprofessional

My reservation indicated I was to recover my vehicle at 11 pm. Due to a weather delay my return flight to Toronto arrived an hour late and I arrived at the EZairport parking at 00:38. I was charged an extra day for those 38 minutes. When I explained the reason for the delay to your employee, I was basically told, "Too bad, you got in after midnight, get lost, but pay us the extra day before you go." First and last time I'll be using EZAirport parking at Toronto, and I'll be letting any and all know what I think about you.

What to Know About Trusted Traveler Programs — PreCheck, Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI

Here’s what you need to know about Trusted Traveler Programs, including TSA PreCheck, Global Entry, NEXUS, and SENTRI.

Your time at the airport is precious. You want to ensure you have enough time to enjoy a pre-flight snack or cocktail at an airport lounge, but you also don’t want to get there so early that you’re waiting to board for hours before departure. Luckily, there are programs that can help you more reliably budget the time you need to get through security. 

Trusted Traveler Programs are issued through the Department of Homeland Security, and they allow members to move through security more efficiently. There are four main Trusted Traveler Programs offered to regular travelers: Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, NEXUS, and SENTRI. There’s a lot of overlap in what each program offers, so you will likely only need to apply for one. However, requirements, cost, and time to get approved can vary significantly from program to program. I spoke with Steve Orens , a senior vice president at FROSCH Travel and T+L A-List travel advisor, to compile this guide.

The best tip to anyone wanting to apply for these programs is to be thorough, says Orens. “Be prepared, fill out all requested information,” he explains. “Check back on the [application] page on a regular basis to follow the progress or provide any other information requested.”

Although it can take months or more than a year in some cases, these programs provide significant utility to travelers. Here’s everything you need to know about the Trusted Traveler Programs, and who should apply for each. 

Meet the Expert

The first Trusted Traveler Program, and one of the most popular, is TSA PreCheck , which allows travelers to enjoy expedited security benefits. Travelers enrolled in PreCheck will not need to remove shoes, laptops, liquids, belts, or jackets when going through TSA airport security. In 99 percent of cases, travelers will get through security in 10 minutes or less. In my experience, it’s typically even faster. 

The enrollment process is quite simple — all you need to do is choose an enrollment provider , submit an application online , and visit an enrollment location for fingerprinting and payment. Once you receive your Known Traveler Number, you can start enjoying your benefits. The cost varies between $78 and $85 for new enrollments and $70 and $78 for PreCheck renewals , depending on your provider. You can even get TSA PreCheck for free thanks to credit cards that will reimburse you for the application fee, making it extremely worthwhile to enroll. 

U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, and lawful permanent residents can apply for TSA PreCheck. Most airports will have dedicated TSA PreCheck security lanes. If not, you will receive a card indicating your membership. You will have to go through the regular security line with the card but will receive the same benefits.

Global Entry allows travelers re-entering the U.S. from abroad to expedite the customs process. Members can use a dedicated Global Entry lane to proceed to a kiosk, which will capture a photo to confirm membership in the program. Then, proceed to the Customs and Border Patrol officer, and you’re all set. Global Entry includes all of the benefits of TSA PreCheck, so you do not need to apply for these programs separately. 

Global Entry is for pre-approved and low-risk travelers. As part of the application, you must undergo a background check and in-person interview to complete enrollment. Typically, the process requires you to visit an enrollment center for your interview before departure. If you cannot, you can complete your interview when you return to the U.S. through Enrollment on Arrival . 

It was just announced that you can also complete your Global Entry enrollment with Enrollment on Departure , a brand-new offering only available (for now) at Washington Dulles International Airport. The application fee is $100, but like PreCheck, many credit cards will reimburse you for the fee as long as you have not already been reimbursed for TSA PreCheck. 

Global Entry members can also validate their arrival to the U.S. via a Global Entry mobile app at select airports, further improving the process. 

The following people are eligible for Global Entry:

• U.S. citizens
• U.S. lawful permanent residents
• Citizens of Argentina
• Citizens of Brazil
• Citizens of Bahrain
• Citizens of India
• Citizens of Colombia
• Citizens of the United Kingdom
• Citizens of Germany
• Citizens of the Netherlands
• Citizens of Panama
• Citizens of Singapore
• Citizens of South Korea
• Citizens of Switzerland
• Citizens of Taiwan
• Mexican nationals

There could be additional requirements to meet, depending on your country of citizenship. Canadian citizens and residents can also be eligible for Global Entry benefits through membership in NEXUS.

NEXUS is similar to Global Entry but specific to Canadian entry ports. You can use NEXUS when traveling by land, air, or sea. Members use expedited processing lanes when entering the U.S. and Canada: dedicated lanes at northern border ports of entry, NEXUS kiosks when entering Canada by air, Global Entry kiosks when entering the United States via Canadian Preclearance airports, and expedited processing at marine reporting locations. 

U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, Canadian citizens, Canadian lawful permanent residents, and Mexican nationals who are members of Viajero Confiable are eligible to apply for NEXUS. The process to get approved takes a lot longer than Global Entry or TSA PreCheck because you have to get approved by both the U.S. and Canada. The average processing time is around 12 to 14 months, and the application fee is $50. The process for applying is similar. All you need to do is submit an application and schedule an interview at an enrollment center. Note you will need to be interviewed by both U.S. and Canadian officials. NEXUS includes TSA PreCheck benefits. 

The fourth and final Trusted Traveler Program is SENTRI , which allows expedited entry into the U.S. from Canada and Mexico. SENTRI works the same way as NEXUS but enables the benefits on both the northern and southern borders of the U.S. Members can use dedicated processing lanes at southern land border crossings, the NEXUS lane when entering the United States from Canada by land, and Global Entry kiosks when entering by air. There aren’t any citizenship requirements for eligibility into SENTRI. However, Mexican nationals who wish to use the Global Entry kiosk when traveling by air will need to apply for Global Entry through their Trusted Traveler account. 

This is the most expensive program, with an application fee of $122.25. The processing timeline is slightly shorter than NEXUS, taking 10 to 12 months to complete. However, the process is the same as the other programs: complete an application, receive conditional approval, and schedule an interview at an enrollment center. You must bring your vehicle registration and proof of automobile insurance in the U.S. to your interview. SENTRI includes TSA PreCheck benefits. 

The best program for you depends on your travel habits, budget, and timeline. If you only travel within the U.S., TSA PreCheck is likely the best option. It includes all the security benefits and has one of the quickest processing times. However, if you take a couple of international trips per year, Global Entry is a fantastic option. I have Global Entry, and it has made my life significantly easier. Not only can I enjoy all of the same PreCheck benefits, but I can pass through customs quickly when entering the U.S., whether for a layover or my final destination. There are so many credit cards that will cover this application fee, too. 

NEXUS and SENTRI are both excellent programs for anyone who frequently travels between the U.S. and Canada or Mexico. Although they typically include the same PreCheck benefits, they won’t include Global Entry benefits when entering the U.S. from elsewhere, so you’ll want to weigh the pros and cons before applying. Enrollment in each program lasts for five years, so once you’ve decided, you can enjoy the benefits for a long time before having to renew. 

You should also think about present and future timelines, explains Orens. “For example, TSA PreCheck comes with Global Entry, but you can also only renew your TSA PreCheck when you renew your Global Entry,” he says. “So, when your Global Entry expires, so does your PreCheck.  If you don’t have time to [renew] Global Entry, then you will not have PreCheck back until you do.”

Seamless and easy from booking through to departure

It is extremely easy to navigate the parking website and complete the details required. On arrival the ANPR system recognised the car and we soon found ourselves parked and on the shuttle bus heading towards the airport terminal. On our return, the shuttle bus was waiting so we boarded it quickly and we were soon reunited with our car. The exit was as simple as the entry with ANPR recognition raising the barrier, allowing us on our way and concluding our use of the car park.

Long Stay Parking at Gatwick

The Long Stay parking at Gatwick could be cheaper, but it is very convenient and the buses between the parking and the airport are very regular. I booked the parking online and although the camera didn't recognise my number plate at first, I just pressed the "help" button and after a couple of seconds, the boom opened.

Official Gatwick Airport Longstay Parking

We have used Gatwick official parking many times in the past. There are cheaper options with other companies, but I prefer to park my own car and take my keys with me. I feel that my vehicle is secure until I return. The shuttle buses are regular.

Easy to book

Easy to book, just drop off at departure car park remove luggage and hand over the keys. On return just take ticket to reception office, they check and hand back the key along with a ticket to scan on the 2 exit barriers and good to go. Will definitely use again!

Simple and efficient

On arrival at the airport we saw the sign to valet parking. The car was scanned we parked up and there was a chap there to take the keys then it was a short walk to the terminal. On our return we had a little difficulty finding the right carpark the signage was a little small and we missed it. Once we found the office it was maned and we had no wait for our keys. The car was fine and we left.

Eady, convenient parking at competitive priced

We have used Gatwick Holiday Parking a few times now. The convenience of leaving the car to be parked and then having it ready on return suits us. The car has always been in the same condition we left it and the staff are always friendly, efficient and courteous. Transport to the terminals takes about 7 minutes and is frequent. Long stay South Terminal parking

The parking was straight forward and easy to navigate The pick up and drop off from the Long stay South Terminal was straight forward, although had a bit of going around as the Bustop sign not easy to find. Again, getting out for me was a bit stressful as my vehicle registration number was somehow missing. Took a while to be let go at the barrier.

Peace of mind when parking.

Premium Parking at Gatwick offers not only peace of mind, it offers security for your car and an easy walk into, and out of, the airport terminal. The parking spaces are generous, so it's easy to get into and out of your car. There is plenty of space to unload your luggage. However, there is one snag. If you drive an Alfa Romeo the number plate recognition doesn't work, as all Alfa number plates are offset from centre. You then have to call for assistance. I hope that Gatwick Airport Parking will read my comments and make the necessary adjustments to their electronic equipment.

Beware pre-booking short stay parking

Beware, if you are picking someone up and park in Short Stay Parking do not get sucked in to it being cheaper to book ahead. Just selected 2 hours online is quoted at £43. Arriving and taking a ticket and paying on exit was £10.
