Visiting the bridge of the Disney Magic

With all the excitement surrounding the Disney Magic at Sea UK Staycation sailings, today I am going to share the fun I had whilst I enjoyed a Disney Cruise Line voyage in the Mediterranean in the Summer of 2011. How time flies! (I feel old now…)

The Disney Magic

a red and white ship

The Disney Magic was the first cruise ship in the DCL fleet and set sail for the first time in 1998. Since then, Disney Cruise Line have certainly taken the cruise experience to a whole new level through their renowned levels of guest service, unrivalled entertainment offerings and pixie dust which only Disney could bring to the high seas!

I embarked the DCL Magic in Barcelona for a 7-night voyage around the Western Mediterranean; which included visits to Villefranche, Nice; La Spezia, Italy, Civitavecchia, Italy (for Rome), and Naples, Italy. With the exception of La Spezia, I had visited all of the ports-of-call on previous cruises – but enjoyed revisiting them nonetheless.

One of the fun-aspects of a DCL cruise is their innovative rotational dining concept. During each voyage, guests and their assigned table staff “rotate” around the three main restaurants, each of which has a different theme. When I sailed on the ship, these were Lumiere’s (French), Parrot Cay (Caribbean) and Animator’s Palate (American). My favourite has to be the latter, especially because the entire restaurant transforms from a black and white canvas into full colour during the course of your meal. Magic!

Being a self-confessed cruise geek

As the sub-heading suggests, I am indeed a lover of all things to do with cruising, travel and Disney. Around the time of this voyage, I had the ambition to become a Navigational Officer which is simple terms, mean work on the bridge of cruise ships. I couldn’t think of a better way to see the world!

During the cruise I had the opportunity to meet the Captain who was in-charge of the Disney Magic at various meet and greets including the typical Captain’s Gala Reception. He was very friendly, certainly no Captain Hook let’s put it that way. Whilst having my photograph taken during the formal evening, I mentioned I had an ambition to become an officer on the bridge and the Captain was very pleased to hear this. So much so, he asked for my details which he passed to the secretary and a couple of days later, I was invited to step onto the bridge of the Disney Magic for a tour with the ability to speak to some of the officers.

I made sure I had a number of questions to ask the officers, including how they started their careers at sea and what advice they could give me for the future. A number of them began their seafaring careers working for other cruise operators, on cargo ships or even within the Navy before joining Disney Cruise Line – it truly was fascinating to hear about their experiences and challenges they had to overcome.

Here is a photo of a very young Ben sitting in the Captain’s chair!

a boy in a hat saluting in a ship

If that wasn’t enough of a thrilling and inspirational experience, the next thing that I got to do was even better…

The Captain asked if I wanted to press the button which sounds the ships whistle, and this isn’t just any whistle… the one on the Disney Magic whistles to the tune of “ When You Wish Upon a Star !” Everyone was certainly very envious of me and it is one of those cool things I can share if asked that thought-provoking question “Tell us about something fun you’ve done in the past…”

I very much enjoyed that experience, could you tell by my reaction in the video?

Admittedly, I was looking for a big red button compared to one the size of a 50-pence piece, but it was still such a cool experience – and I am very thankful I had the opportunity to do something not many people have done. I also got to visit the bridge of the Disney Dream whilst it was docked in Disney’s Private Island – Castaway Cay, that was pretty awesome too. Especially as I could compare the technology between a ship built in 1998 vs 2011.

All of the officers provided me with advice to continue to study hard, explore all opportunities and mentioned a rather well-known quote from Walt Disney… “Keep Moving Forward” – something that I still do to this very day. Unfortunately due to health issues I was unable to continue with my ambition to become a deck officer, but you never know what the future holds. People do change careers at any age…

Cruising is one of my favourite types of holiday, where you have the ability to visit a number of destinations during one holiday whilst travelling in comfort and style. It’s also a great way to make new friends and create memories. I look forwards to setting sail and enjoying a cocktail under the sunset again in the future once things calm down a little.

But for now stay safe and healthy…

Can You Visit The Bridge on a Cruise Ship? – Real Experiences & Prices

When on a cruise ship, you may wonder whether it is possible to visit the bridge and see what goes on. In this article, we look at when and how this is possible.

What is the Ships Bridge?

The Bridge is a room at the front of the ship from which the ship is commanded. The term “Bridge” originated from a narrow, raised platform “bridging” the two sides of a large vessel. This allowed the Captain access to both sides while commanding the crew.

On modern cruise ships the Bridge is a large structure, high up at the front of the ship.

It has many windows and spans the entire width of the ship. Often the bridge extends out over the side of the ships too, allowing the crew to see right down the sides of the ship and see to the very back.

The ship’s crew will have access to paper nautical charts as well as modern computer equipment. This equipment controls the ship’s many systems – mechanical, electronic and communication.

Steering of the ship can be controlled in several places, including from where the bridge actually extends out over the sides of the ship.

Can You Visit The Bridge on a Cruise Ship?

On many cruise ships, you may be able to sign up for a “behind-the-scenes tour” which can include a tour of the ship’s bridge.

On many small expedition ships, they have an open bridge policy. Passengers are able to drop by and speak the crew – unless of course, the crew are in a situation where full concentration is required! (Docking, bad weather etc)

Cruise Ship Bridge Tours

Many Cruise lines offer “Behind the Scenes” tours, which include a trip to the bridge. Due to the recent Covid pandemic, some that did provide tours no longer do so.

Behind-the-scenes tours may be offered onboard, and you will be able to find details and costs in your daily schedule or cruise ship App.

Examples of costs are listed below:

How Have Things Changed In Recent Years?

Things have changed in recent years, due to the Covid pandemic and heightened Health and Safety concerns.

Loyalty Status Tours

Norwegian Cruise Line used to offer free “Behind the Scenes” tours to their “latitudes” loyalty club members. I was very lucky to have been able to take advantage of this perk visit the ships bridge. I have Platinum loyalty status with Norwegian Cruise Line .

Unfortunately, since the Covid pandemic, these tours are no longer available. Norwegian say :

“To ensure the health and safety of our guests and crew members, we have suspended the Behind-the-Scenes Ship Tour”

When – or if – they will re-instate these tours is anybody’s guess!

Bridge Viewing Rooms

One of my favourite cruise ships, The Norwegian Spirit, used to have a Bridge Viewing Room where you could see the crew at work. Unfortunately, this was lost in its most recent million-dollar refit.

Other ships, like Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 also had a bridge viewing room, but it no longer appears to be shown on the newest deck plans.

Older cruise ships seem to have done away with Bridge Viewing Rooms altogether.

Although Bridge Viewing Rooms are an interesting feature, popular with guests, newly built cruise ships no longer include them. This is because of heightened Health and Safety concerns.

Other Ways to Visit the Bridge on a Cruise Ship

The only other way to get to visit the Bridge onboard a cruise ship is to be invited by the Cruise Line itself – or a member of the crew.

I have been lucky enough to have been invited on Press Trips, which often include a full, behind-the-scenes ship tour.

Other passengers report having been personally invited by the Captain, whilst attending a dinner at “The Captains Table”

The “Captain’s Table” on a cruise ship is where the captain of the ship is dining.

On some ships, there is a designated table in the centre of the main dining room reserved exclusively for the captain, senior officers and their invited guests.

The process for being invited is fairly random, with invitees ranging from first-time cruisers to VIPs.

Some cruise ship bridges are open on the sides such as the below. This is an older design.

Can you visit the Wheelhouse on a River Cruise Ship?

On River Cruise ships you will find a Wheelhouse, rather than a Bridge.

Wheelhouses are ingenious box-like structures found on the top deck. From here the Captain or the crew controls the ship.

The Wheelhouse can sink down into the superstructure of the ship at the press of a button! This enables the river ship to fit under some very low bridges .

On River Cruise ships it is often possible to just pop by and speak to the crew in the wheelhouse, as long as they are not too busy. When I took my cruise on the Tui Skyla, this was the case.

Emerald River Cruises also welcome guests to visit the wheelhouse during their cruise. They say:

If you have a particular interest in river navigation, the wheelhouse can provide a wonderful insight into the role of the captain and the intricacies of working through locks.

Ask onboard at the reception desk, and they will let you know if it is possible to visit the wheelhouse on your ship. They will also let you know if there is any charge for doing so – usually, it is free on River Cruise Ships.

Find out all about that wonderful river cruise down the Danube on the Tui Skyla here:

Are There Bridge Tours on Luxury on Expedition Ships?

Luxury cruise lines such as Viking offer a free tour of the Bridge. Other luxury cruise lines such as Silversea, Oceana, Seabourn, Regent etc do not advertise such tours on their websites.

However, luxury cruise lines do pride themselves on having concierge services that can customise your voyage and attend to your every need – so doubtless, a tour of the bridge is something they would be happy to offer!

Expedition ships like Hurtigruten also offer guests a free bridge tour. Look out for details whilst onboard .

Would I Recommend a Bridge Tour?

A trip to the Bridge onboard a cruise ship is a very interesting thing to do, if you are able .

Do bear in mind that on some cruise ships, this is just not available .

Keep an eye out in the daily schedule or cruise ship App, if this tour would be of interest to you.

Let’s dive into what you can expect from these short Disney cruises , including a full list of dates for 2025 and 2026.

Is a 3-Night Disney Cruise Right for You?

A 3-night Disney Cruise can be an excellent choice for:

  • First-time cruisers
  • Families with limited vacation time
  • Those on a tighter budget
  • Disney fans looking for a quick getaway
  • Anyone wanting to combine a cruise with a Walt Disney World vacation

However, if you’re looking for a more immersive experience or want to visit multiple ports, you might prefer longer Disney cruise options .

Is a 3-Night Disney Cruise Too Short?

One of the most common questions about 3-night/4-day cruises is whether they’re too brief. The answer largely depends on your expectations and travel style.

First, you should understand how much time you’ll actually have onboard:

  • Day 1 — afternoon/evening only : You’ll typically be allowed to board the ship sometime between 11 AM and 3PM. Once you’re onboard, you’ll have the rest of the day to enjoy the ship.
  • Days 2 & 3 — full days onboard: Spend two entire days onboard the ship (with the option to go ashore for part of the day if the ship is visiting a port).
  • Day 4 — early morning only: Your cruise ends very early on debarkation day. There are no onboard activities; it’s simply wake up, eat breakfast, and leave. You’ll likely be back ashore by 8AM, if not earlier.

With that in mind, here are some pros and cons to consider:

Advantages of a 3-Night Cruise:

  • Perfect for First-Timers : If you’re new to cruising or Disney Cruise Line , a 3-night trip is an excellent way to test the waters.
  • Budget-Friendly : Shorter cruises are generally the cheapest Disney Cruise experience , making them an excellent way to save money .
  • Less Time Off Work : You can enjoy a cruise without using too many vacation days.
  • Ideal for Long Weekends : These cruises often depart on Fridays, making them perfect for a quick getaway.
  • Easy to Combine With Disney World : One week of vacation time and a round trip plane ticket to Orlando International Airport (MCO) gets you a few days at Disney World plus a short Disney cruise from Port Canaveral.

Disney Cruise vs Disney World

Potential Drawbacks:

  • Limited Time to Explore : With only three nights on board, you might feel rushed trying to experience everything the ship offers.
  • Less Time for Relaxation : The shorter duration means you have fewer days to fully unwind and settle into the cruise rhythm.
  • Limited Port Visits : Most 3-night cruises typically visit only one or two ports, which may limit your exploration opportunities compared to longer itineraries.
  • Shorter Entertainment Schedule : You might miss out on some shows or activities that are spread out over longer cruises.
  • Less Time to Build Relationships : Shorter cruises provide less opportunity to form connections with crew members or other guests.

Popular 3-Night Disney Cruise Itineraries

Disney offers several 3-night cruise options, with the most common being Bahamian cruises. Let’s explore the typical itineraries:

3 Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral

Crystal waters behind an orange and teal building

Nassau | Image © Disney

This popular itinerary usually includes:

  • Day 1: Departure from Port Canaveral, Florida (afternoon)
  • Day 2: Nassau, Bahamas
  • Day 3: Castaway Cay (Disney’s private island)
  • Day 4: Return to Port Canaveral (early morning)

The recent opening of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point means that some 3-night cruise itineraries now include this exclusive destination as part of the trip. In fact, some itineraries only visit Lookout Cay, while others only go to Castaway Cay. Additionally, there are 3-night trips that visit both locations, depending on the schedule.

3 Night Bahamian Cruise from Fort Lauderdale

Itineraries for Disney’s 3-night/4-day cruises from Fort Lauderdale are similar to those from Port Canaveral, but they are more convenient for travelers coming from Miami or other South Florida locations.

Map showing the route of a 3-night Bahamian Cruise starting in Fort Lauderdale, with a visit to Castaway Cay and a Day at Sea before returning to Fort Lauderdale

Additionally, Fort Lauderdale may appeal to those who prefer a more relaxed and low-key port experience.

Is There a Difference Between Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale Departures?

While the itineraries are similar, there are a few key differences between Port Canaveral and Port Everglades :

  • Location : Port Canaveral is closer to Orlando and the Disney World parks, making it easier to combine a cruise with a theme park visit. Fort Lauderdale is more convenient for those in South Florida.
  • Ship Options : Port Canaveral typically hosts more Disney cruise ships , potentially offering more sailing dates and ship choices.
  • Pre-Cruise /Post-Cruise Activities : The areas around each port offer different experiences. Orlando has theme parks, while Fort Lauderdale has beaches.
  • Review our articles about Port Canaveral Disney Cruises and Fort Lauderdale Disney Cruises to help you decide which option is best for you.

“Magic at Sea” Cruises

These special cruises, often departing from Australia or New Zealand, typically don’t stop at any ports. Instead, they focus on providing a full Disney cruise experience while remaining at sea. They’re an excellent option for those who want to enjoy the ship’s amenities without the hassle of disembarking at ports.

Disney Wish Shipside Promenade Deck Walking Tour

The Disney Wish features a redesigned shipside promenade spanning multiple decks. The primary promenade is on deck 4 with stairs on the port and starboard side to deck 5 and deck 6 which for the first time onboard a Disney cruise ship, allows guests to walk out to the bow.

Disney Wish Deck 6 Shjpside Promenade Bow

The following video is a real time walking tour of the Disney Wish promenade deck from port aft forward up to the bow and back to the starboard aft.

Guests sailing with a service animal can find Pluto’s Corner, the pet relief area on deck 5 forward on the port side.

Disney Wish Deck 5 Shjpside Promenade Pluto's Corner Pet Relief

The best route to Pluto’s Corner is to head towards Senses Spa, exit the doors to the deck 5 promenade, and walk forward past the stairs to deck 6.

Disney Wish Deck 5 Shjpside Promenade

On deck 4 and deck 5, there are a number of drinking and water bottle filling stations such as the one pictured below.

Disney Wish Deck 4 Shjpside Promenade

A cruise ship staple, shuffleboard is available with 4 areas, 2 on each side of the ship. At launch of the Disney Wish, guests looking to play were required to visit guest services to sign out the shuffleboard equipment.

Disney Wish Deck 4 Shjpside Promenade

On the starboard side of deck 4, you can find two portholes featuring Captain Minnie and Captain Mickey. Please enjoy these while you can, as I worry with the regular cleaning of the ship, and well, guest behavior the application of the graphics may peal off on a regular basis resulting in the loss of a fun photo-op.

Disney Wish Deck 4 Shjpside Promenade

The loungers are out, but someone forgot to order the full length pads.

Disney Wish Deck 5 Shjpside Promenade

Unfortunately, the promenade deck on the Disney Wish is not continuous resulting in the loss of a walking and running track. Although, at certain times of the day, guests do have the option to walk or run in a U path from aft on one side forward up the stairs to decks 5 and 5, around the bow, then back down stairs to deck 4 and go from forward to aft. Not ideal, but it is slightly more enjoyable than a treadmill in Senses Fitness. The caveat here is access to the bow on deck 6 is not always available and from experience only one side of the ship’s deck 5 to deck 6 staircases may be open.

Overall, what do you think about the outside promenade deck on the Disney Wish?

this is just one more example of the ridiculous design of the wish. I sure hope they go back to the drawing board for ships 6 and 7

' src=

@Beth, We agree. It is a chopped up design. Maybe they should have looked up the meaning of the word promenade. Also, no midship elevators, TV on side wall of bed that is stationary, etc. Yes, go back to the drawing board.

' src=

Awesome video! Thanks, Scott! For those who have not been on the Wish yet, you’ve satisfied our curiosity.

' src=

Can you go through the gates at the aft ends of the deck 4 promenade and go up the stairs to deck 5? If so, where does that lead to?

' src=

Thanks for the video, Scott! It’s pretty and all, but I can’t imagine not being able to run around the promenade loop a couple dozen times.

' src=

What a terrible design. Many people enjoy running or just walking, both for fitness and just to be outside and get fresh air, and not everyone has the mobility or desire to handle multiple layers of stairwells. They had so many better options when planning the ship.

' src=

Thanks for the video, this is one of the features that disappoints me the most. The promenade deck on the other 4 ships (and on ships on other lines) is widely used for jogging which is now not really possible. The answer I’ve seen widely posted is “use the treadmills” but when I have been on the ship at least 50% of the runners are high school age athletes trying to stay in shape while on vacation and they aren’t allowed in the gym. We are still going on our first Wish cruise this winter, but with this feature gone it will likely not be a repeat ship for us – or very low on our priority. Yet another example of how this seems to be a ship almost entirely geared towards families with little kids, especially little girls, and not really geared towards adult cruising and crusing with older kids.

' src=

Thank you, Scott for an excellent video. I really enjoyed the Disney Wish as a solo guest using my wheelchair. On your video at five minutes and thirty seconds, as you descend the starboard staircase you may notice a wheelchair lift on your right at the bottom. It is shown in a folded position. Call a cast member to operate the wheelchair lift as it requires two keys to operate. The metal hand rail is used to raise the lift up the staircase. I used it often to feel my experience of “I’m king of the world” moment. There is no unlocked landline when I tried to call to go back down. Fortunately, a guest in the Spa open area called for me. I used six other of these lifts on the ship, too. I have photos if you allow guests to post them.

' src=

One of the unfortunate part of the ship’s design is the number of tiered areas that necessitate these chair lifts. Even more disappointing is that they are not self service. Not to mention, I saw a team working to repair the one in the Quiet Cove as it was damaged by someone who did not know how to properly operate the lift.

' src=

Oof! That’s probably going to happen as they work kinks out of the system.

' src=

So much for “Guestology”.

' src=

Looks quite different

' src=

Going to try the Wish in November, but going back to the Wonder after that! This new design is not my cup of tea for many reasons.

' src=

If you have a stateroom on deck 6, is there a door out to the deck 6 promenade? Thank you,

Disney Fantasy Itineraries

Disney fantasy review, review of disney fantasy.

The 2012-built MS Disney Fantasy cruise ship is Walt Disney 's second (Dream-class) liner with sistership Disney Dream (2010).

The vessel (IMO number 9445590) is currently Bahamas- flagged (MMSI 311058700) and registered in Nassau .

History - construction and ownership

DCL-Disney Cruise Line is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company (shipowner). The company was incorporated in 1996 as "Magical Cruise Company Ltd". Walt Disney also owns the Bahamian private island Castaway Cay (exclusive port of call - for Disney ships only) and an exclusive Cruise Terminal at Port Canaveral (Orlando Florida) . Disney cruises are marketed as "family vacations" and feature unique and exclusive activities, such as costumed Disney Characters, adults-only deck areas, dedicated facilities for teens, kids and infants-toddlers, signature (trademarked) shipboard facilities and activities, themed live entertainment.

MS Disney Fantasy cruise ship

The 4000-passenger ship Disney Fantasy is no exception with its primary market being families with small children (especially with kids younger than 8) - the major revenue provider for the unique Walt Disney company. MS Disney Fantasy is almost 50% larger, 2-deck taller and with 44% bigger passenger capacity than the older fleet mates Magic and Wonder . The ship design is inspired by traditional 1920s ocean liners. The vessel features a navy blue hull, 2 bright red funnels, elegant Art Deco decorations and some of the most innovative technologies and fun ideas at sea, including:

  • 22 pieces of "Enchanted Art" adorning the walls of hallways - paintings and pictures that are actually framed LCD screens with a technology to recognize guests present and proceeding with one of several animations;
  • wave phones in every stateroom (used to call or text other guests) and effectively replacing the old onboard beeper system (now the counselors' messages come directly to the parents' phones);
  • the Magical Portholes on the walls of all Disney Fantasy Inside cabins (LED screens showing a real-time view of the ship).

The CLIENTELE consists almost entirely of North American travelers (the USA and Canada). The new Disney Lines approach to teens and young couples (by age-related activities and limited access onboard venues) adds a really strong appeal for multi-generational cruisers.

The DRESS CODE is similar to that of the Disney luxury resorts - day casual and evening resort casual (men - jackets (no ties) and pants, women - summer dresses). All Disney Fantasy sailings include one pirate and one semi-formal night. On 3-day Disney Fantasy cruises, one night is casual, 4-day sailings are with 2 casual evenings and on 5-day voyages 3 nights are casual.

Disney Fantasy TIPS (totaling the US $12 PP per day) are given to waiters (including the assistant waiters) and to cabin attendants. Additionally, a 15% gratuity on all drinks is automatically charged to guests' shipboard accounts.

Decks and Cabins

Most Disney Fantasy staterooms (1250 total, in 28 grades) are 205-255-ft2 Balconies. The ship has 21 Suites, 887 Balcony, 199 Oceanview and 150 Inside cabins. The largest accommodations are the Concierge Royal Suites (900 ft2 / 84 m2 plus 885 ft2 / 82 m2 terrace).

Disney Fantasy ship cabins are very well planned and equipped. Like on all Disney ships, Disney Fantasy staterooms are some of the industry's largest standard cabins, most of them designed to easily accommodate four passengers. Some of the best Disney cabins features are the ample closet space, the normal-sized living space and the split bathrooms (1 room with shower-bathtub-sink and a separate toilet and sink). Beds on Fantasy are raised to allow storing 2 medium-sized suitcases underneath, staterooms also got 2 vanities, a 22-inches smart HDTV, an iPod docking station and 2 rechargeable "Wave Phones" to be used ship-wide. The Disney Fantasy Inside cabin has a most innovative feature (and the industry's first, for that matter) - the Magical Portholes, which are LCD screens (above the beds) in the shape of portholes, projecting a real-time view outside the ship (provided by cameras). Veranda cabins feature 2 chairs and a small table on the balcony.

Concierge Suites and Concierge Family Cabins (Deck 11-12) are new for the line, offering direct access to the ship's concierge facilities (1 small lounge, a private sun deck area with chairs, free food and drinks). Most of the 1-bedroom suites are with connecting doors (1 queen bed, a sitting area with a double convertible sofa, 1 pull-down bed in the living rooms, a walk-in closet, 2 bathrooms (one with a hot-tub).

The largest Disney Fantasy stateroom, the Royal Suite, adds to all previously mentioned a living room, a wet bar, a kitchenette, media library and a Jacuzzi on the balcony.

The boat has 14 decks , of which 9 are with cabins.

Shipboard dining options - Food and Drinks

The Disney Fantasy three themed main restaurants are called "Animator's Palate", "Enchanted Garden" and "Royal Palace". There are 2 adults-only specialty restaurants - "Remy" (named after the "Ratatouille" movie star, French cuisine) and "Palo" (Italian cuisine) as alternative dining options. The line's Rotational Dining system allows you to rotate to each of the three main restaurants each night while your servers follow you. The Animator's Palate has screens showing animated Disney characters and themes from "Finding Nemo" movie. The Enchanted Garden is a Versailles-inspired room, featuring lighting effects, transforming day into night. The Royal Palace is princesses-themed with numerous portraits of "Cinderella" and the "Sleeping Beauty" movie characters (even the bread baskets are shaped as the Cinderella's coach). The food quality is very good, the service staff is amicable and timely.

MS Disney Fantasy cruise ship

The Remy specialty restaurant is a classy place to be on any special occasion, offering a marvelous French menu and charging serious prices - a service fee of $75 PP (reservations are required, along with the formal dress code), drinks and wine are additional. The Palo restaurant is an Italian (Mediterranean) eatery with $20 cover PP (serves dinner and on selected days - Champagne brunch). Superb fish and seafood entrees, a cold buffet (meats, cheese, shrimp, salads and desserts) and several hot made-to-order items. The "Cabanas" casual dining complex on Deck 11 has several food and drink stations for hot and cold buffet items (including made-to-order omelets and sandwiches). The "Flo's Cafe" offers burgers, chicken fingers, wraps, pizza, salads.

Follows the complete list of Disney Fantasy restaurants and food bars.

  • Enchanted Garden Restaurant (696-seat forward Dining Room, inspired by the gardens of Versailles; serves as a buffet for breakfast and lunch, full service for dinner 5:45-8:15 p.m.)
  • Royal Palace Restaurant (696-seat forward Dining Room, offers complimentary French cuisine; specialty coffees and drinks are extra)
  • Animator's Palate Restaurant (696- seat aft Dining Room, animator's studio design, features favorite Disney-character dinner shows; serves complimentary drinks; Rotational Dining with two fixed Dinner seatings - at 5:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.)
  • Flo's Cafe (quick service restaurant with 3 food stations: "Fillmore's Favorites" (lite lunch, complimentary), "Tow Mater's Grill" (burgers bar, complimentary) and "Luigi"s Pizza")
  • Cabanas (self-service complimentary restaurant with American cuisine, pasta, sushi)
  • Remy (reservations-only, adults-only French specialty restaurant for lunch and dinner; aft location, bookings via the internet or onboard)
  • Palo (144-seat Italian specialty restaurant; adults-only, reservation-only; aft location; bookings via the internet or on board).

Shipboard entertainment options - Fun and Sport

The Disney Fantasy kids cruise fun clubs are the main reason for the line's high loyalty passengers ratio. Besides all the Disney characters and most innovative technologies and fun attractions on ships, the Disney children counselors are a pretty big reason many families to repeat their visits. Always smiling and friendly, they are hugely experienced, all college-educated, attentive and downright. The Oceaneer's "Club" and "Lab" facilities (ages 3-10) are connected, thus doubling the fun space. The "Oceaneer's Club" features the "Andy's Room" (with oversized Disney characters for kids to climb on) and the "Laugh Floor" (with its "laugh-o-meter" and Mike and Sully of "Monsters Inc"). The "Oceaneer's Lab" is maritime-themed, featuring an Animator's Studio and a small Sound Studio. The new Disney approach allows all kids ages 3-10 to access the same clubs with separate rooms and age-related activities.

The Fantasy ship children club is called "Edge" (ages 11-13) properly secluded on Deck 13 in the funnel. Best attractions here are the 18 ft (5,5 m) tall LCD wall, the video karaoke, and numerous interconnected PCs. The teen-only "Vibe" club (ages 14-17) is of 9000 ft2 (836 m2), with a fountain bar and its own sun deck and pools.

MS Disney Fantasy cruise ship

Public spaces are decorated in deep blue and red, with numerous "Mickeys" just about everywhere (cabin, artwork, dinnerware, railings). One of the ship's most memorable places is the 3-deck high Atrium lobby with its golden hue, the wide royalty-style winding staircase, and the Donald Duck bronze statue. The Fantasy Atrium is a hub area connecting restaurants, theaters, and shops. You may check emails in the Internet cafe, but there's also a Wi-Fi coverage throughout the ship. Like all Disney ships, Fantasy has no casino.

  • Fun activities on board

All Disney stage shows feature intricate sets and Disney themed captivating performances, and the big place for grand entertainment is the Disney Theater with goldies like the "Golden Mickeys" and "Villains Tonight", new amazing stage productions, like the "Disney's Believe" (directed by Gordon Greenberg) and all the best Disney movies in 3D. The themed Disney characters onboard have always been the greatest sensation of all, and there are countless opportunities to meet and greet Mickey and company around the ship - in contrast to Disneyland, here they all are accessible and will always stop for a hug and a photo with you. Another big success is the "Pirates in the Caribbean" kids party divided into two programs - the sing-along called "Mickey's Pirates in the Caribbean" followed by the "Club Pirate" (with many special effects) and great Disney fireworks between the shows.

  • SPA and FITNESS, pools, waterslide, technology

The "Senses" Spa & Salon offers all the usual treatments (haircuts, manicures) and more exotic choices (hot-stone massages, mud baths). The "Chill" is a teen-only Spa within the facility. The Fitness Center along with the usual equipment offers at additional fee Yoga and Pilates classes. The Sports Deck has a small sports court, a mini-golf course, Ping-Pong tables, a walking/jogging track.

Disney cruise water park slide Aquaduck

The pool deck has a large area for family fun water activities, featuring 2 hot tubs and 2 kids pools - "Donald's" (5 ft deep) and "Mickey's" (with a spiral slide). A big attraction here is the big LED screen mounted on the funnel. There's a toddler splash area (Nemo themed) located in the center on Deck 11 with huge glass panes for parents to monitor their kids.

The AquaDuck waterslide. The ever first water-coaster at sea is located atop the ship, featuring a 765 ft (233 m) long 4-decks high transparent tube, reaching the incredible 150 ft (46 m) above the ocean (there's a 42 inches (107 cm) height requirement). The "Nemo's Reef" is a small kids waterpark. And while speaking of water and pools - the adults only "Quiet Cove" pool area is a great place to hide from all the little angels and devils around the ship.

Follows the complete list of Disney Fantasy lounges, clubs and other entertainment venues for kids, teens, and adults.

  • Walt Disney Fantasy Theatre (1340-seat, offers live shows, aerial acrobatics performances, grand-style productions, 3D movies; with two evening shows - at 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.)
  • Fantasy's Atrium (3-deck high central ship area, featuring marble-carpet flooring, grand staircase, and panoramic glass elevators)

Disney Fantasy Wiki

The Walt Disney ship Fantasy is the company's fourth (currently newest) liner, with sistership Disney Dream . Each vessel is 40% larger in size than the 2 older Disney ships Magic and Wonder . While its capacity (at double occupancy) is 2500, Fantasy can accommodate up to 4000 passengers at full/max occupancy (all berths).

The vessel (Mayer Neptun yard/hull number 688) is powered by MAN B&W marine diesel engines (3x 12-cyl, 2x 14-cyl) plus diesel generators (3x 14,4 MW, 2x 16,8 MW) with total power output 76,8 MW. The propulsion system is electric (based on two converteam propulsion motors) with total power output 26 MW, plus two FPPs (5-blade Fixed-Pitch Propellers/inward-turning).

The vessel was ordered on February 22, 2007. Ship design was announced on Oct 29, 2009, and the first steel cut was in March 2009. The vessel's construction started with the keel-laying ceremony held on February 11, 2011. The launch (float-out from drydock) was on January 8, 2012, and the ship was officially delivered to The Walt Disney Company on February 9, 2012 (at Port Bremerhaven ).

The inaugural call at Port NYC New York (first arrival in the USA) was on February 28, 2012. The liner was christened in NYC on March 1st (2012) by Godmother Mariah Carey (1970-born US singer, actress, record producer, entrepreneur). The hull's stern character is the Flying Elephant Dumbo.

The Disney ship's namesakes are Carnival Fantasy (1990-built) and the cruise ferries Color Fantasy (2004) and Moby Fantasy (2023).

Fantasy vs Magic (ships comparison, new features)

"Bibbiti Bobbiti Boutique" (the 1st at sea, similar to those at all Disney land parks where girls transform into princesses). The ship-Boutique is also transformed into a Pirates League (during the Caribbean Pirates-themed night party) where kids get transformed into pirates. Aqualab is another feature (was, because now they added it to the Magic during the 2013 refurbishment). The nightclub "districts" area ("Europa") transforms into several different "districts" representing famous European cities & countries. Among those - "Tube" (London, UK), "Ooh La La" (France), "O'Gill's Pub" (Ireland), "La Piazza" (Italy). "Satellite Falls" is the Fantasy's adults-only deck. The "Animator's Palate" dining room's dinner show is themed "Sorcerer Mickey's "Animation Magic". Guests may draw their own characters to be presented by Mickey the Sorcerer Mouse.

One of the most visited attractions on MS Disney Fantasy is the AquaDuck. This water park with a slide will throw you into the swimming pool after a craziest spin in a long tube over the very ocean. Fantasy was also the debut for the "Muppets at Sea" show. Muppets participate in an interactive game full of mysterious clues for the passengers.

The vessel's last drydock (for regularly scheduled maintenance works) was in 2020 (at Damen Shiprepair Yard in Brest France ).

What time is the bridge tour on Nassau day?

I looked all through all my naviagtors. I couldn't find the times at all. I know they had them though. My son did the bridge tour with the kid's club. Maybe someone that is on the ship now can help you.

I also looked in previous Navigators. It lists the time to sign up for the bridge tour, but never lists the actual time of the bridge tour. I wanted to plan my Nassau shore excursion, but don't want to conflict with the bridge tour.

Try the DIS board. There are a few people posting LIVE, maybe they can help you.

Hi - we just got off the Wonder this morning and did the bridge tour. It took place at 3:30 PM on Nassau day. I wondered the same thing and didn't find it in any of the Navigators ahead of time.

They use to do bridge tours before the spas were redone on the classics in 2005/2006 and took over the space where the overlook was for the bridge. Bridge tours now are very rare and by invitation only.

I also heard they stopped doing bridge tours but I was lucky to get invited on my WBTA Cruise in September 2010 so they are possible. It was very interesting and the Captain let each of us push the famous horn. Don't asks me how I got invited (that was my first Disney cruise ) as I was traveling with friends who where seasoned cruisers. My friend just told me to be at a certain place at a certain time and next thing I notice is we are being escorted on the bridge. Good luck.

No idea what DCL policy is, but RCCL offers them if you book a suite, especially on their longer sailings; they offer them in a few languages. I think NCL still does them as well.

There were bridge tours offered after 9/11 on the Magic because DH and I considered booking it in 2003. They were run just like the tastings and galley tours where you had to get a ticket at GS ASAP. You stood on a walkway that overlooked the bridge area. That space was incorporated in the spa expansion during drydock on the Magic, and then the Wonder, which stopped the bridge tours because there was no longer the observation area for guests.

My husband and I were given a bridge tour on our September 22, 2012 Fantasy cruise last year. The only difference was there was no picture taking allowed compared to when we were given a bridge tour on the Magic in October 2008. For both tours, we requested one from the Concierge crew and they put our request in to the Captain of the ship.

It could end up curdled

So basically you have to know somebuddy or book a concierge room.

There are no tours you can sign up for. The Fantasy has a virtual tour on-demand.

In March, I went on a bridge tour on Celebrity. It was by invitation only. I was able to go by signing up for the "Meet & Mingle" on Cruise Critic. Woody

We went on a bridge tour of the Magic in 2011, we received an invitation as a platinum amenity--but a bridge tour has never been offered since to us. I'm so glad we went, it was really cool. There was a group of about 12 on the tour including a couple who'd been on over 40 Disney cruises!

We've sailed concierge 3 times. Every time we've asked about a bridge tour. Hasn't happened yet. We'll keep asking and let them keep telling us no. One of these days we might get lucky.

When I did ask for a bridge tour on the Magic in 2008 and the Fantasy in 2012, both times my husband and I were in the Walt Disney suite. I don't know if that is the reason they said yes to the bridge tours or not or we were just lucky.

Disney Wish Cruise Ship: Everything You Need to Know

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney Cruise Line’s new ship is the Disney Wish, which sets sail in Summer 2022. This guide covers everything you need to know, with concept art, photos & video and a behind-the-scenes preview of the Marvel, Star Wars & Frozen experiences, luxury amenities, and spacious staterooms aboard the “next chapter” of DCL’s story. ( Updated April 26, 2022 .)

After a delay of one month, the Disney Wish will sail its 5-night maiden voyage on July 14, 2022, followed by a season of 3 and 4-night cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney Cruise Line’s private island, Castaway Cay, from Port Canaveral, Florida. Bookings are now open to the general public for sailings through Summer 2023.

Our first impression of the Disney Wish is that it’s a ship of “firsts.” It has the first-ever attraction at sea, theatrical dining experience themed to Frozen that’s never been done before, ditto its unprecedented Marvel dinner adventure, Imagineering lab for kids, and Star Wars bar that is only for adults. The unprecedented quality of the Disney Wish extends beyond the melding of dining and entertainment–the ship’s staterooms and royal suites are more spacious than the legacy ships, most have an ocean view, and 70% have a verandah.

Turning to the specifics, let’s start inside the Disney Wish’s Grand Hall, which is the ship’s “Castle on the Seas.” This is where guests will find Luna, the town square stage. This brand-new entertainment hub will transition from a daytime setting for family fun into an elegant evening venue for adult-exclusive entertainment, offering a variety of live shows and interactive programming throughout the day and night.

Featuring a design inspired by the Disney-Pixar short “La Luna,” the venue will feature a two-story LED screen wall, stylish stage, full-service bar and spacious seating. Luna will create an energetic atmosphere on the lower level that will buzz with community and life. The balcony will offer a more intimate setting for enjoying the festivities in small groups, with secluded seating in semi-private booths.

Disney Wish Stage Shows & Entertainment

disney cruise bridge tour

Next, Live Shows at the Walt Disney Theatre. This venue is a hallmark of the Disney Cruise Line experience, which hosts a roster of original Broadway-style stage shows developed exclusively for DCL. These shows will be presented in the Walt Disney Theatre, an elegant 1,274-seat show palace that spans three decks with orchestra and balcony seating.

On the Disney Wish, the design of the Walt Disney Theatre will evoke an enchanted forest, imbuing the atmosphere with a sense of magic inspired by scenes from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Fantasia . The theater will be equipped with state-of the-art technology, including projection mapping technology and a Dolby Atmos 3D audio system to create a transformative theatrical experience rivaling anything on land or at sea.

The first show is an adaptation of the critically acclaimed “Aladdin on Broadway” stage show, which is not new to Disney Cruise Line or even Disney theme parks. It’s a great show that’s absolutely carried by Genie and his humor. Here are the new additions to the Disney Wish…

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney The Little Mermaid – An original take on the renowned Walt Disney Animation Studios film, developed as a collaboration between the creative minds at Disney Cruise Line and a team of top Broadway talent. This modern-day adaptation of “The Little Mermaid” is exclusively for the Disney Wish. Audiences will rediscover the iconic scenes, acclaimed music and beloved characters of the film, as a cast of contemporary storytellers put their own spin on the timeless tale.

“Disney The Little Mermaid” will feature innovative theatrical design, dazzling special effects, artistic choreography, and a reimagined script and score that will surprise and delight guests of all ages. “Under the Sea” will be the show’s biggest production number, complete with incredible vocals, show-stopping choreography and plenty of special effects. The show’s cutting-edge puppetry will be on the greatest display, as countless sea creatures and fantastical characters like Sebastian and Flounder gather on stage to sing, dance and celebrate.

Throughout the show, scenic designs and state-of-the-art video projections will transform the Walt Disney Theatre into a 360-degree undersea environment. During “Kiss the Girl,” Sebastian will lead a chorus of sea life in a refreshed rendition of the melody as the audience is visually transported into the scene. In a new twist exclusive to our show, even though Ariel doesn’t have a voice at this point in the story, her inner voice  will play an important and meaningful role in the song.

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney Seas the Adventure – This show will begin with Captain Minnie Mouse handing over the helm to her dear friend Goofy, leaving him a little unsure about the responsibility. With the help of some familiar friends, he’ll embark on a musical voyage into favorite Disney and Pixar stories on a journey to discover his own inner captain.

Early in his adventure, Goofy will learn the power of hard work to make a dream come true when he meets Tiana during a lively performance of “Almost There” from “The Princess and the Frog.” The show’s grand finale will feature a cavalcade of characters joining Captain Minnie and Goofy on stage. But rather than bidding the audience farewell, these favorite Disney friends will lead guests out of the theater and into the Grand Hall for an unforgettable sendoff experience unlike anything we’ve done before.

Another entertainment option aboard the Disney Wish is Hero Zone, a futuristic sports arena where physical activity will blend with imagination, alternating between a family obstacle course and a free-play sports hub. Families will take on action-packed physical challenges themed to super heroes during over-the-top, game show-style competitions. Balcony viewing space will be available for other guests to watch, cheer and admire the fearless feats performed during the epic games.

Disney Wish AquaMouse “Attraction at Sea”

disney cruise bridge tour

Moving on to perhaps the most exciting detail of the Disney Wish: AquaMouse, the first-ever Disney “attraction at sea.” This brand-new family water attraction that will bring to life the adventures of “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse” animated shorts like never before.

AquaMouse will be complete with show scenes, lighting and special effects, and splashtacular surprises, this first-of-its-kind water ride will send guests on a fun family adventure through 760 feet of winding tubes suspended high above the upper decks. This will be a 2+ minute experience with a 42″ height requirement.

During this ride, Mickey and Minnie are starting their very own seaside excursion company, “Port Misadventures,” on board the Disney Wish. Adventuresome cruisers will join them on an undersea excursion to Mermaid Lagoon that will inevitably go awry.

disney cruise bridge tour

The journey begins with guests boarding two-seater ride vehicles and ascending into a magical tunnel that will teleport them into the cartoon world of “Scuba Scramble,” a new animated short that plays out through oversized virtual portholes. Along the way, they’ll encounter curious sea creatures, character, and 60+ water effects that bring the subaquatic hijinks to life — all synced to an original musical score by Emmy-nominated composer Christopher Willis.

At the height of the show, guests will blast out of the tunnel and embark on a wild water ride around the upper decks. First, they’ll zip into the forward funnel through an enclosed tube surrounded by dazzling lighting effects, followed by a quick dash through a dark tunnel that opens up to reveal ocean views.

They’ll then jet up and down a series of speed blasters propelled toward the grand finale: a soaring loop over the edge of the ship, with clear views down to the sea. With that, they’ll splash down for a send-off message from Mickey and Minnie–another successful tour in the books!

There were a lot of cool aspects of the Dish Wish unveiling, but this takes the cake for me. The parallels to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway are obvious, and if Imagineering manages to pull off something even a quarter that impressive aboard a cruise ship water ride, it’ll be an impressive feat of storytelling and technical innovation. I’m really excited for AquaMouse!

Disney Wish Pool Areas

disney cruise bridge tour

In addition to AquaMouse, families will have more pools, more deck space and more dining than ever before in an expansive pool district themed to Mickey and friends. Located on decks 11 and 12 midship, this area will include six pools of various sizes, staggered among tiered decks to provide families with space to stretch out. Guests will enjoy a variety of poolside entertainment on Funnel Vision. For guests seeking a laid-back environment, another family pool will be available on deck 14 forward.

The Disney Wish will also feature brand-new food and beverage offerings on the upper decks, including relaxed indoor dining and a fresh take on quick and casual fare with a festive character twist. More details on these experiences will be released at a later date.

At Quiet Cove, guests ages 18 and older will find a secluded adults-only district dedicated to lounging, sipping and soaking. Set away from the bustle of family activities, this relaxing refuge at the back of the ship will offer breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean from a luxurious infinity pool.

disney cruise bridge tour

At the other end of the spectrum, children will be able to enjoy Toy Story Splash Zone, a water playground where Woody, Buzz and friends will be adorably reimagined as larger-than-life rubber bath toys that move and spray water. Inspired by the Disney and Pixar short “Partysaurus Rex,” this bathtub-themed splash zone will combine the Old West of Woody’s Roundup with the intergalactic world of Buzz Lightyear, featuring two toddler-sized slides and pop jets, geysers, and bubblers galore.

Everyone in the family will enjoy a trip down Slide-a-saurus Rex, a double-looping waterslide that sends guests plunging “down the drain” with the rest of the toys when the metaphorical bathtub overflows. Another feature will be Trixie’s Falls, a six-inch-deep wading pool with a small fountain and waterfall. Finally, Wheezy’s Freezies, a smoothie bar serving up refreshing fruit blends for the perfect cool-down treat.

Speaking of smoothies, let’s turn to dining on the Disney Wish, starting with a video previewing adult experiences aboard the Disney Wish…

Disney Wish Dining

Like every Disney Cruise Line vessel, the Disney Wish will offer a collection of bars and lounges reserved exclusively for adults each evening.

These venues will be spread out among the ship’s other core gathering places for a more flexible, free-flow experience. Also new is the storytelling in these spaces, providing ways for adults to experience Disney stories in sophisticated ways.

Disney Wish Bars & Lounges

disney cruise bridge tour

Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge – This will be a high-end bar styled as a luxurious yacht-class spaceship, set against a virtual window into the galaxy that will feature famous spaceships from Batuu, Tatooine, and beyond. This richly themed, immersive experience will be reserved for adults every evening, offering interactive tasting experiences and signature beverages inspired by the films.

The venue’s sleek interior design and metallic detailing is inspired by lavish star cruisers similar to Dryden Vos’ ship in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” While guests sip their galactic concoctions, this space-faring voyage will transport them to iconic locations from the eras of the Republic, Empire and First Order, employing hyperspace jumps to travel from planet to planet while sensational scenes unfold just beyond the ship’s panoramic viewport at each stop.

disney cruise bridge tour

Keg & Compass – A pub that is perfect for watching live sports or news while enjoying custom craft beers available exclusively aboard the Disney Wish. Keg & Compass celebrates the adventure and romance of the sea, designed in the architectural style of a late 1800s Norwegian sailor’s map room. Drawing inspiration from the rich folklore of Norse seafaring, period-style oil paintings will depict tales of the deep and intricate carvings of tentacles, barnacles, compasses, and more will accentuate porthole frames.

Spanning the entire ceiling will be a grand map in old maritime style that features references to ocean lore and pays homage to Disney characters and stories related to the sea. In addition to such characters as Ursula and Moana, the map will call out important locales related to Disney.

disney cruise bridge tour

Nightingale’s – A refined piano bar inspired by Cinderella’s lyrical rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale” in the 1950 film, offering an extensive menu of fine wines, bubblies and hand-crafted cocktails. Nightingale’s lounge will be a thematic extension of the fairytale-inspired Grand Hall from which it stems, with large doors that allow the music to spill into the atrium.

Classically modern with a soft metallic palette, the predominant design feature of Nightingale’s will be a glittering chandelier perched above the piano, with swirling pearlescent bubbles and music notes crafted out of rose gold.

disney cruise bridge tour

The Bayou – Guests looking for New Orleans-inspired good time can go down to The Bayou, an informal lounge themed to The Princess and the Frog . This centrally located venue will offer creative cocktails, specialty coffees, and signature beignets in a lively, social atmosphere with live entertainment and musical performances.

With magnolia blossoms, lily pads, and a canopy of twinkling fireflies overhead, the Bayou will evoke the magical marsh where Tiana and Naveen take refuge in the film. A bronze statue of each character will be prominently displayed, and two gazebos inspired by the city’s iconic wrought iron metalwork structures will provide intimate seating for small groups on either side of the bar.

Disney Wish Casual Dining & Buffets

disney cruise bridge tour

Marceline Market – Named for Walt Disney’s early childhood hometown in Missouri, Marceline Market is the Disney Wish’s main food hall. Inspired by popular marketplaces, Marceline Market will feature a changing menu of specialized offerings in a free flow setting with both indoor and outdoor seating and ocean views all around.

Featuring 10 food stalls and a café-style beverage bar in the center, Marceline Market will be styled as an old industrial loft converted into a bustling marketplace. At this food hall, the local proprietors are Disney characters themselves, as each station is themed to beloved animated films such as Tangled, Ratatouille, Alice in Wonderland, Zootopia , and more.

These shopkeepers will curate a wide-ranging variety of freshly prepared cuisines for the whole family to enjoy, including American classics, international specialties, comfort foods, seafood, soups and salads, vegetarian cuisine, baked goods, and desserts. Effectively replacing Cabanas Restaurant, Marceline Market will offer a casual, walk-around dining experience for breakfast and lunch, followed by table-service dining at dinnertime with entrees cooked to order.

disney cruise bridge tour

Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods – Located in the middle of the fun on the upper decks, Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods will be the venue for grabbing a quick bite for lunch, dinner or anytime in between. Fan-favorite treats will include Disney Cruise Line’s signature soft-serve ice cream. The Disney Wish will feature the fleet’s first dedicated quick-service venues for barbeque and Mexican-inspired fare.

This open-air eatery comprises five separate food stalls: Mickey’s Smokestack Barbecue, Donald’s Cantina, Daisy’s Pizza Pies, Goofy’s Grill, and Sweet Minnie’s Ice Cream. The design is inspired by the seaside boardwalk setting featured in popular “Mickey Mouse” animated shorts. A large shaded seating area will provide convenient and comfortable accommodations for families to relax and enjoy their meals.

Disney Wish Rotational Dining

disney cruise bridge tour

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure – Rotational dining aboard the Disney Wish will be unique, with the debut of three brand-new family restaurants. First up, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. This is Disney Cruise Line’s first “Frozen”-themed theatrical dining experience, bringing the kingdom of Arendelle to life through immersive live entertainment along with Nordic-inspired cuisine.

Designed in the style of a theater-in-the-round, families be invited to attend a royal engagement party for Queen Anna and Kristoff, picking up the story where “Frozen 2” left off. Elsa and Olaf will host the celebration with catering provided by their friend Oaken’s “Hearty Party Planning Service… and Sauna” and live entertainment by “local” musicians who specialize in Nordic renditions of familiar “Frozen” songs.

disney cruise bridge tour

‘Avengers: Quantum Encounter’ at Worlds of Marvel – Worlds of Marvel is the first-ever Marvel cinematic dining adventure, where guests will play an interactive role in an action-packed Avengers mission that unfolds around them, complete with a worldly menu inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“Avengers: Quantum Encounter” will follow Ant-Man and The Wasp as they embark on their first public speaking engagement on behalf of the Avengers. They are hosting a special presentation of the most powerful Super Hero technologies, such as Captain America’s shield, Iron Man’s arc reactor, and Ant-Man’s Pym Particles. This will give guests an up-close look at holographic models, field reports, and iconic scenes from Marvel movies displayed on the screens surrounding the room.

disney cruise bridge tour

The highlight of this special event is a hands-on demonstration of the latest and greatest Pym Tech, the Quantum Core, which uses unstable, cutting-edge technology to shrink and grow targets. Of course, something will go hilariously wrong, with Ant-Man-style hijinks ensuing.

An unexpected villain will also show up with an army in tow, attempting to steal the quantum technology. Ant-Man and The Wasp will need all the help they can get to save the day, calling on Captain America, Captain Marvel, and the diners of the Disney Wish for back-up.

Every table at Worlds of Marvel will feature an interactive Quantum Core, which is a new device that can cause objects to shrink and grow remotely. Guests will assist Ant-Man and The Wasp as they attempt some small-scale trials, perhaps shrinking oversized luggage for easy stateroom storage.

disney cruise bridge tour

When enough of the Quantum Cores are activated at the same time, the entire venue will become supercharged as energy pulses through the power channels in the walls and ceiling. Outfitted with Pym Tech and decked out in signature Stark-itecture style, the design of Worlds of Marvel will offer surprises in all shapes and sizes, from a distinctly Marvel hexagonal motif to Easter eggs and hidden details.

Worlds of Marvel will take families on a flavorful tour of the real and fictional settings of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with dishes inspired by locales like African Wakanda, Eastern European Sokovia, and the Avengers’ home base of New York City. Guests can expect to find a diverse array of globally influenced items and fun nods to the worlds and characters from Marvel Studios films.

disney cruise bridge tour

1923 – Named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded, 1923 is an elegant celebration of the company’s legacy, paying homage to the golden age of animation and offering a tasteful tribute to its Californian heritage.

Combining classic Hollywood glamour with a dash of Disney whimsy, 1923 features two lavishly appointed dining rooms, aptly named for the men behind the magic of the original film studio: Walt and Roy Disney. The rooms are adorned with more than 1,000 drawings, props and other tools of the trade, providing an inside look at the evolution of Disney animation.

At 1923, guests will enjoy sophisticated dishes designed with families in mind and inspired by the fusion of cultural flavors found throughout the Golden State. The diverse menu will mirror the region’s unique blend of Asian, European and South American cuisines and will feature local ingredients like fresh produce, wild honey and earthy pistachios.

Disney Wish Fine Dining

disney cruise bridge tour

Aboard the Disney Wish, guests will savor gourmet meals and exceptional beverages at Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, and The Rose, a trio of epicurean excellence exclusively for adults, inspired by Beauty and the Beast .

Palo Steakhouse – An evolution of the restaurant concept Disney Cruise Line guests know and love, now combining the relaxed sophistication of authentic Italian dining with the classic refinement of a modern steakhouse in a genteel setting inspired by Cogsworth. This elegant environment with spectacular ocean views off the back of the ship has been designed with a warm, luxurious palette of rich woods and shining metals, artwork & details that evoke ornate clocks, pendulums and gears.

At Palo Steakhouse, guests will choose from a selection of exquisite Italian dishes and the world’s best steaks, from the most elite American prime cuts to melt-in-your-mouth Australian wagyu to succulent Japanese Kobe and Miyazaki beefs. The menu will be paired with the finest Italian wines and bold craft beers. For dessert, a fan-favorite indulgence: signature Palo chocolate souffle, prepared fresh-to-order and served piping hot with luscious vanilla bean and chocolate sauces.

disney cruise bridge tour

Enchanté – This will offer the most luxurious dining experience on board the Disney Wish, featuring a gourmet menu crafted by three-Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement, one of the culinary masterminds behind the fine dining experience at Remy aboard the Dream and Fantasy.

Enchanté will offer a romantic and intimate venue, evoking the dazzling candlelight and lavish hospitality of Lumiere, with shimmering light fixtures and illuminations that will give life to the two intimate dining areas and private 10-seat dining room. With an elegant infusion of soft blues and metallic embellishments, the enchanting atmosphere will be completed by stunning ocean views.

The menu will feature superior products and seasonal ingredients sourced from around the world to create an exceptional ensemble of international dishes, masterfully developed with the passion, philosophy and expertise of Chef Lallement. From the moment they enter the glittering champagne room, guests will be swept up in a sumptuous journey marked by consummate cuisine, superlative wines and first-class service.

disney cruise bridge tour

The Rose – This is a chic lounge at the entrance of Palo Steakhouse and Enchanté. Inspired by the fateful flower at the heart of the story, guests will enter The Rose through a corridor of beautiful, bespoke artwork commissioned exclusively for the Disney Wish. This grand entrance culminates in a gilded, golden rotunda, unfolding into a plush lounge with rich velvet seating, glorious views and magical illuminations.

The Rose will be an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner cocktail, with an extensive selection of high-end wines and liquors. Guests will also indulge in a special menu of gourmet amuse-bouche and small plates from the Enchanté galley, curated by Chef Lallement.

Disney Wish Kids Clubs & Activities

disney cruise bridge tour

Oceaneer Club – Children ages 3 to 12 will enter the captivating worlds of favorite Disney stories in the reimagined Disney’s Oceaneer Club, a real-life wonderland of immersive spaces specially designed to unlock their imaginations. Aboard the Disney Wish, this club will offer an exclusive line-up of interactive games and programs where characters stay to play.

With the club located on deck 2, parents will be able to check in their children in the Grand Hall on deck 3 and then send them “down the rabbit hole” on a twisting slide that lands directly and securely into the central hub. Decorated with black-and-white sketches of Disney and Pixar characters, the hub will feature a stage and its own slate of special shows, activities and character appearances.

disney cruise bridge tour

Marvel Super Hero Academy – A high-tech Avengers headquarters where young “recruits” will train to be the next generation of Super Heroes with the help of their own real-life heroes, like Spider-Man, Black Panther, Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Kids will begin by choosing a super hero suit from a selection of power sets based on Marvel heroes like Iron Man and Captain Marvel, and watching their choices become nanotech forms around mannequins in real-time. Then it will be time for “Avengers: Mission Training,” a gesture-based technology game where they put their new suits and skills to the test as they virtually battle bad guys.

disney cruise bridge tour

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Book pixie-dusted makeovers for kids ages 3 to 12, complete with hairstyling, makeup, costumes and accessories. The venue will feature beautiful wood detailing, chandeliers with candle lights and design elements inspired by Cinderella. There will also be a mural featuring a majestic wooded landscape and Cinderella Castle sparkling in the distance.

In addition to the guest-favorite princess, pirate and knight transformations already available, the Disney Wish will offer a selection of brand-new looks coming soon to the entire Disney Cruise Line fleet. For example, young cruisers will be able to become Captain Minnie Mouse and Captain Mickey Mouse with these adorable makeovers inspired by the characters’ signature Disney Cruise Line looks.

disney cruise bridge tour

Fairytale Hall – A royal trio of activity rooms where kids will join some of their favorite Disney Princesses and Frozen Queens as they let their creativity shine at Rapunzel’s Art Studio, read and act out stories at Belle’s Library, and test newfound icy powers at Anna and Elsa’s Sommerhus.

  • Inspired by her love of expression, Rapunzel’s Art Studio will be a creative escape where kids will have the best day ever making their own arts and crafts projects, like floating lanterns and paintings.
  • Belle’s Library will be a cozy corner for reading and acting out stories with the help of Disney characters. An enchanted painting above the fireplace will magically transform to bring the tales to life.
  • Anna and Elsa are never far from snow, even in their summer cabin. Here, kids will unlock icy powers during “Frozen Fun,” a series of gesture-based games hosted by Olaf, which include snowball fights with friendly trolls and a hunt for mischievous Snowgies — the tiny, playful snowmen created by Elsa in the animated short “Frozen Fever.”

disney cruise bridge tour

Walt Disney Imagineering Lab – A first-of-its-kind opportunity for kids to discover the secrets of world-renowned Disney Imagineers – the creative masterminds behind Disney theme parks, resorts and cruise ships – with hands-on activities and inventive experiments. Sorcerer Mickey, the ambassador of Walt Disney Imagineering, may even stop by to lend a wand to the newly minted magic makers.

One of the most exciting things Imagineers get to do is design roller coasters. At the Ride Studio, kids will create a coaster along the lines of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain or Matterhorn Bobsleds — and then climb into a capsule where they will virtually ride their imaginative masterpiece.

Very envious of the 12 and under crowd here, Walt Disney Imagineering Lab sounds awesome.

Disney Wish Staterooms & Suites

disney cruise bridge tour

Last but not least, the staterooms. These look nice! With an all-new look and feel steeped in enchantment and inspired by dreamy Disney stories, every stateroom on the Disney Wish will be a luxurious retreat designed with families in mind. Each will feature custom-made artwork depicting beloved Disney fairytales created especially for the Disney Wish.

Imagineers have designed dreamlike worlds and restful imagery of enchanted Disney fairytales through glittering gold-leafed headboard murals and framed pieces commissioned exclusively for the Disney Wish. Stateroom artwork represents classic and contemporary Disney stories that capture the essence of wish fulfillment and dreams come true. Beyond the artwork, every detail has been designed to tell a story, from pixie-dusted furnishings to delicate linen embroidery inspired by the fleet’s signature golden filigree.

disney cruise bridge tour

Every stateroom aboard the Disney Wish has been designed with ample room for families, plenty of storage space and upscale amenities. Most of the ship’s 1,254 staterooms will offer an ocean view, and 877 staterooms (70% of the total!) offer a spacious verandah.

In addition to that, the Disney Wish will be 451 connecting doors that adjoin rooms to accommodate larger families. Some connecting staterooms will have a partition between verandahs that may be opened to create a bigger, shared balcony.

  • Most staterooms will feature Disney Cruise Line’s signature split-bathroom concept, with a sink and shower in one room and a sink and toilet in a separate room. All will include a bathtub — perfect for giving children a bath.
  • Enhanced storage options, roomy closets and elevated bed frames with generous under-bed space will provide plenty of places to store suitcases and other bulky items essential to family travel.
  • Little ones will delight in a secret starfield hidden above pull-down beds, with original artwork revealing a constellation of Fairy Godmother overhead.
  • Other exceptional amenities and highlights will include a 43-inch TV, USB and USB-C ports, large vanity, mini drawer refrigerator, full-length mirror, mini safe, hair dryer, privacy divider, queen and pull-out sofa beds, deluxe toiletries, plush robes, and lavish bed linens and duvets.

disney cruise bridge tour

The Disney Wish will elevate the concierge experience with 76 concierge staterooms and suites — more than double the number available on other Disney ships.

  • Accommodating up to five guests, these rooms will feature spacious living areas, king beds, luxurious finishes and premium amenities. Most will include a generous private verandah, and most have been designed with the rich color palette and distinctive iconography of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Tangled.”
  • One-bedroom concierge suites will have a separate living room, walk-in closets, two 43-inch TVs and two bathrooms (including a master bathroom with rain shower, bathtub and double vanity).
  • Seven exclusive oceanview rooms are Disney’s first-ever staterooms located above the bridge. These will have extended living areas with breathtaking views of the ocean through floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the bow.

disney cruise bridge tour

The Disney Wish will also debut four royal suites that celebrate the gilded world of Disney Animation’s “Sleeping Beauty,” with two Princess Aurora Royal Suites and two Briar Rose Royal Suites. Each pair includes a single-floor option and a two-story configuration, the first of their kind for the Disney fleet.

  • Royal suites will feature extravagant details, upscale furnishings and first-class amenities, including an extensive living area, open dining salon, sizeable pantry and private hot tub on the oversized verandah.
  • Each suite has two master bedrooms – each with its own opulent bathroom featuring a double vanity and either a rain shower or bathtub – as well as a double sleeper sofa in the living room and a third bathroom with a shower.
  • The two-story royal suites will boast floor-to-ceiling windows and stunning statement pieces, like an elegant spiral staircase and a spectacular two-deck-high bespoke stained-glass frieze.

disney cruise bridge tour

Ultimately, we are really  excited for the Disney Wish. It’s actually a bit difficult to reconcile my general indifference towards cruising right now with my hype for this new ship. Everything that Disney has revealed about this new ship (except the price points) makes me more enthusiastic about the upcoming ship.

I don’t want to overdo the enthusiasm or get carried away since it’s mostly just concept art at this point, but the Disney Wish looks amazing. Like the next generation of cruising. It’s as if Imagineering took a huge leap forward, iterating on past designs to make technical, functional, and storytelling improvements in the process. It’s still early, but the Disney Wish looks significantly better than its predecessors, which is really saying something since those ships are exceptional.

disney cruise bridge tour

The dining slate looks formidable and unique (although it’ll garner the least attention, I’m most excited for 1923), the rooms look really nice, and AquaMouse is exactly the type of attraction (at sea) that is perfect for Disney Cruise Line–something only Imagineering could do. Reasonable minds may differ, but I’m personally pleased that Disney hasn’t gone over the top in adding crazy recreational options that impinge upon the classic aesthetics of the ship’s design.

Perhaps I’m just old and curmudgeonly, but so much of what other cruise lines are adding seems more gimmicky than anything else; “upgrades” that are great for slick marketing materials, but the vast majority of cruisers will never use. In short, I love what Disney Cruise Line has shown of the Wish thus far, and am incredibly pleased with both its style and substance.

Is there any way to nudge Disney to improve the offerings for teens? We are booked for next winter but I’m really wondering if it’s worth it for teens. My teens are obsessed with Marvel and with Disney parks but won’t be able to do either the super hero activity or the imagineering? Why exclude teens from those? One of my teens has played piano for a dozen years and would love the piano bar—why limit that just to adults? (Or at least have an all ages show.). The dueling piano bar on NCL was one of our favorite family events! Just seems like disney puts a lot of thought into families with young kids, but needs to think a bit more about the older ones. Particularly with these short 3 and 4 day trips, most teens are not going to be in a mode where they want to hang in the teen club and make new friends—the cruises aren’t long enough for that. Anyone know a way to get feedback to the powers that be at disney?

' src=

Kat, my kids did not like the Disney cruise much so I know they would not now as teens Biggest complaint is the pools are so crowded, you’re lucky to get a toe in

Long wait for waterslides (aquaduct, etc)

We enjoy Royal Caribbean much more and more to do for teens for sure Just my opinion

Kat I also forgot to mention that my teens are huge Disney fans We visit Disneyworld a couple times a year for a week at a time and love love it Cruising is a different story We prefer Royal Caribbean for cruising

' src=

We are booked for the end of September and can’t wait!! I am with you 100% and am most excited about dining at 1923. This is our first Disney cruse and I’m so happy that it’s this ship… it just looks stunning!! Fingers crossed that the weather doesn’t play havoc during our trip this year!!

' src=

Didn’t they release any info on the tween & teen clubs? Unfortunately one of our kids just outgrew the oceaners club with the pandemic. Wondering what they have in store for those age 11+

' src=

Looks Amazing, but get ready to pay over double vs. a Royal Caribbean or Carnival Cruise.

' src=

Bye-bye Cabanas? Buffets are a pre-COVID phenom at this point I guess.

' src=

The 70% of rooms having a verandah stat – is that the same for the other Disney ships? I probably can’t afford a verandah, so I hope I’m not fighting over a much smaller pool of rooms than before, as I’d love to cruise on the Wish.

' src=

The ship looks beautiful. The staterooms are very nice looking, and the bathrooms look like a gorgeous upgrade. I’m not so fond of the television facing the bed, rather than in the living area. Families may not like that either. Like being able to close the curtains and read while the kiddo watches Mickey Shorts before bedtime. Also, wondering about the adult district? It seems to be missing? Also wondering about the running track. As a vegan, disappointed about the conversion of Palo into a steakhouse, so I’ll probably skip dinners there, and have my complimentary Platinum meal at brunch. Enchante looks very beautiful. It will be fun and exciting to explore a new ship, of course. Anything, after this past year. ..

Take a Virtual Tour of the NEW Disney ‘Wish’ Cruise Ship

By Sara McOmber Leave a Comment

The Disney Cruise Line is getting a new cruise ship soon: the Disney  Wish .

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney Wish © Disney

We’ve already heard a lot about this ship, including some unique dining experiences , themed lounges , and the first Disney attraction at sea . Now, we’re going to take you through the WHOLE SHIP with a complete tour of the Disney  Wish .  Let’s take a look at everything that’s going to be on board!

The Disney Wish will set sail on its maiden voyage on June 9th, 2022 . It’s going to have 3- and 4-night cruises to the Bahamas , including stops at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay .

The ship features Disney’s first-ever attraction at sea, a water ride called the AquaMouse . There are tons of themed areas, lounges, and restaurants to see, so we’d better get started with the tour!

You probably won’t visit Deck 1 on your cruise, since the only things here are the Tender Lobbies and the Health Center . Tender Lobbies are where guests go to board smaller boats if the cruise ship can’t dock in a certain area.

The Health Center is an important spot to know about if you do need it, and you can visit during clinical hours for any non-emergencies. If there is a medical emergency, dial 7-3000 on any ship phone to contact the 24-hour doctor and nurse on call.

On Deck 2, you’ll find the Walt Disney Theatre (which extends up through Deck 4)…

disney cruise bridge tour

…a few staterooms , Disney’s Oceaneer Club , and the “it’s a small world” nursery .

disney cruise bridge tour

The Walt Disney Theatre has a  Fantasia -inspired design  that’s meant to make you feel like you’re in an enchanted forest. It’s a huge  1,274-seat theater that spans three decks, complete with orchestra and balcony seating as well. The theater will be equipped with the most advanced technology, including the most detailed projection mapping capabilities (like the Cinderella Castle projections!) and a Dolby Atmos 3D sound system. These new advancements are the most innovated in the cruise industry right now and promise to provide an immersive theatrical experience.

Disney’s Aladdin — A Musical Spectacular is going to play here, along with two NEW productions, a new adaptation of the animated classic, “ Disney The Little Mermaid ” and charming all-new with Captain Minnie and her friends in “ Disney Seas the Adventure “!

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney’s Oceaneer Club offers activities for kids ages 3 through 12 . Here, they can make their own super suit at the Marvel Super Hero Academy …

disney cruise bridge tour

…design their own roller coaster in the Imagineering Lab …

…or hang out with princesses at Fairytale Hall .

disney cruise bridge tour

If you have kids ages 6 months to 3 years old, you’ll find childcare services at the “it’s a small world” Nursery .

We’ll do an in-depth look at the staterooms when we get to Decks 6 through 11, which is where the bulk of the rooms are.

Deck 3 is home to  the Grand Hall , the  Star Wars  Hyperspace Lounge , and the 1923 restaurant .

disney cruise bridge tour

The Grand Hall is the first room that guests will see when they board the Disney Wish . You’ll enter through this area, which is an atrium that’s designed to look like a fairytale castle (complete with a golden statue of Cinderella).

disney cruise bridge tour

The Disney Wish Grand Hall ©Disney

The Grand Hall will also transform into a theater…

disney cruise bridge tour

…and characters will appear on the balcony periodically to greet guests!

disney cruise bridge tour

Star Wars fans will want to visit the Hyperspace Lounge , which is open to guests of all ages during the day but becomes an adults-only spot in the evenings . There will be drinks inspired by  Star Wars , as well as some cool technology to check out in this area. The “windows” behind the bar will show guests that galaxy far, far away and show views of some of the popular Star Wars locations.

disney cruise bridge tour

Also on this deck is 1923 , a restaurant inspired by Disney’s film history. This restaurant is meant to make guests feel like they’re dining in old Hollywood . Each dining area has over 1,000 drawings, props, and other animation tools to give guests an insight into the development of Disney animation from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Frozen 2 .

disney cruise bridge tour

The menu will focus on the culinary culture of California and foods inspired by the meals of Hollywood.  Dishes will be a special twist on Asian, European, and Latin American cuisines and will feature local ingredients like fresh produce and wild honey. And no California-inspired menu would be complete without a listing of Napa Valley wines.

Heading up to Deck 4, you’ll find the Wonderland Cinema , the Never Land Cinema , the Luna event space , and the  Worlds of Marvel restaurant.

disney cruise bridge tour

Both cinemas are inspired by Disney classics ( Alice in Wonderland and  Peter Pan ), and guests can head in to watch Disney movies, both old and new . Disney has said that guests will be able to see movie premieres here on the same day that they show on land.

disney cruise bridge tour

©Disney | Pixar

The Luna area is an event space where families can hang out during the day, and it becomes an adults-only entertainment spot in the evenings. It’s decorated with the Pixar short  La Luna   as the theme. When you’re there, watch out for different characters and a nod to the short film. The Luna space extends up to Deck 5 as well.

Worlds of Marvel is one of the cornerstone experiences aboard the Disney Wish . It’s the first-ever Marvel-themed dining experience at sea where guests are immersed in an action-packed Avengers mission throughout their meal and they get to play an active role!

disney cruise bridge tour

The menu will span the Marvel Cinematic Universe with dishes inspired by our favorite Avenger home countries like African Wakanda, Eastern European Sokovia, and the Avengers’ headquarters in New York City.

disney cruise bridge tour

While dining, guests will partner up with Marvel’s Antman and Wasp to see the newest advancement of Pym Tech, the Quantum Core. And when the party gets crashed by an unexpected villain, guests will get to provide backup in this adventure to make sure this new tech doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

disney cruise bridge tour

This experience provides unique and familiar foods along with a Marvel-quality adventure. An experience you’ll want to be sure to check out!

Besides a continuation of Luna, Deck 5 has a Disney Vacation Club spot , the Edge club for teens , Arendelle: a Frozen Dining Adventure …

disney cruise bridge tour

… the Senses Spa , and the Senses Fitness Center.

disney cruise bridge tour

In the Senses Spa ,  guests can find the fleet’s first   ice lounge , which is used in thermal therapies. There are also other favorite elements like heated ergonomic loungers, sensory spa showers, and sauna, steam, and dry chambers. The Fitness Center will have exercise equipment so guests can work out with fantastic sea views.

disney cruise bridge tour

Edge  is a spot for kids ages 11 to 14 to participate in counselor-led activities. And Arendelle: A  Frozen Dining Adventure allows guests to dine at Anna and Kristoff’s royal engagement party! Here, guests will dine on Nordic-inspired food , like seafood, rustic game dishes, and family-friendly dishes with “tasty nods” to the Frozen story.

disney cruise bridge tour

©Disney Cruise

The restaurant is set with tables around a central stage, where you might see Elsa or Olaf performing for the party’s guests . There are other theatrical elements as well, like lights in the ceiling that “conjure Elsa’s icy magic” and panoramic windows that project the Aurora Borealis onto real-time ocean views.

disney cruise bridge tour

At this spot, guests can see Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, Olaf , and for the first time, our favorite Nordic vendor,  Oaken ! The dining experience will allow guests to participate in fun table crafts and singalongs.

Deck 6 is the start of the staterooms , which take up all of Decks 6 through 10 , with some staterooms on Decks 11 through 14 as well.

disney cruise bridge tour

If you need the laundry room during your stay, you’ll find it right in the middle on Deck 8 .

disney cruise bridge tour

The Disney  Wish has 1,254 staterooms  onboard, and 90% of them have an ocean view. Most of them also feature a spacious veranda attached to the room. There are 451 connecting doors that adjoin rooms in case you want to cruise with a larger family or group.

disney cruise bridge tour

Most of the staterooms have a split bathroom , meaning there’s one room with a sink and toilet and another with a second sink and a shower. All the staterooms will have bathtubs .

disney cruise bridge tour

Pull-down beds reveal hidden artwork of the Fairy Godmother.

disney cruise bridge tour

In each room, there’s a 43-inch TV ,  USB and USB-C ports , a  large vanity ,  mini drawer refrigerator ,  full-length mirror ,  mini-safe ,  hairdryer ,  privacy divider ,  queen and pull-out sofa beds ,  deluxe toiletries, plush robes , and  lavish bed linens  and  duvets.

disney cruise bridge tour

There are three different theme options for the rooms: Fairytales and Castle, Forest and Animals, and Enchanted by the Sea.

disney cruise bridge tour

For a little more space, there are 76 total concierge staterooms and suites. These rooms have extended living areas, and they can accommodate up to five guests.

disney cruise bridge tour

They have large living areas, king beds, luxurious finishes, and premium amenities ,  and most are themed after  Tangled , although there are a few that have  The Little Mermaid  as the inspiration.

disney cruise bridge tour

One-bedroom suites have a separate living room, walk-in closets, two 43-inch TVs, and two bathrooms.  One of the bathrooms is a master bathroom with a rain shower, bathtub, and double vanity. Guests staying in a concierge room or suite can access an exclusive lounge and private sun deck . On the deck, there are two whirlpools, a wading pool, a bar, a lounge area, and more. The bar will offer drinks and some light bites.

disney cruise bridge tour

There are four royal suites onboard, which are very lavish rooms. They accommodate up to six guests, with a large living area, open dining salon, sizeable pantry, and private hot tub on the oversized verandah .

disney cruise bridge tour

There are two master bedrooms, each with its own bathroom  featuring a double vanity and either a rain shower or bathtub. The living room will have a  double sleeper sofa in the living room  near a  third bathroom  with a shower.

Two of the suites have second floors , which guests access via a gorgeous spiral staircase. All four suites are themed after  Sleeping Beauty — two focusing on Princess Aurora and two for Briar Rose.

disney cruise bridge tour

But if that’s not enough luxury for ya, check out the Wish Tower Suite , which has a  Moana theme. This room is actually located inside one of the ship’s funnels.

disney cruise bridge tour

The Wish Tower Suite ©Disney

The Wish Tower Suite will be a  1,966 square-foot penthouse  with  2 main bedrooms, a children’s room, a library that converts into a bedroom, and 4.5 bathrooms.  It has a two-story window wall with incredible ocean views.

Here’s a Look at the Main Room ©Disney

The main bedrooms on the upper level have king beds, walk-in closets, and floor-to-ceiling windows . Bathrooms each have double vanities, soaking tubs, and rain showers .

The room has custom  Moana -themed art throughout, and guests staying here have a personal concierge team.

On Deck 11, you’ll find more staterooms as well as a pool deck.

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney has announced that there will be 10 pools and water play areas onboard the Wish .

disney cruise bridge tour

Rather than a couple of big pools, there are a lot of smaller pools that are a little more spread out .

disney cruise bridge tour

And all around this area, there is also deck space with lounge chairs for some relaxation in the sun.

The pools continue onto Deck 12, where you’ll also find FunnelVision — a large screen that will play Disney movies, live TV, and more. Back inside, there are a couple more restaurants, including Enchanté , Palo Steakhouse , and the Rose Lounge .

disney cruise bridge tour

Vibe and Hero Zone are in this area as well. On the other side of the deck, you’ll find the Toy Story Splash Zone , Wheezie’s Freezies , and Slide-a-saurus Rex — a water slide.

disney cruise bridge tour

Starting with the restaurants, Enchanté, Palo Steakhouse, and the Rose Lounge are all adult-only restaurants with a  Beauty and the Beast  theme. Enchanté is inspired by Lumière; it will feature a gourmet menu of international dishes by three Michelin-starred Chef Arnaud Lallement .

disney cruise bridge tour

Palo Steakhouse is inspired by Cogsworth and will serve “the world’s best steaks,” including American cuts, Australian wagyu, Japanese Kobe, and Miyazaki beef. There will also be Italian dishes on the menu.

disney cruise bridge tour

Over in the Rose Lounge , adults can snack on small plates and sip cocktails while they wait for dining reservations or just need some luxury quiet time.

disney cruise bridge tour

While their parents are dining in the  Beauty and the Beast -inspired restaurants, older kids can hang out at Vibe . This club is for kids ages 14 to 17 , and it has movies, games, and activities for the kids.

disney cruise bridge tour

Hero Zone (which continues up to Deck 13 as well) is a place for the whole family. This space is for fun physical activities, like family obstacle courses and free-play sports hubs . There’s also room for game show-style competitions , and guests can choose to participate or watch and cheer on the participants. And finally, the Toy Story Splash Zone is where you’ll find Slide-a-saurus Rex (a water slide for kids), a wading pool , and a smoothie bar called Wheezy’s Freezies .

disney cruise bridge tour

This space is designed for families to play together , and it’s a great spot for little ones.

Along with more staterooms, Deck 13 has the private concierge deck (for guests staying at concierge staterooms and suites), the Quiet Cove, and the  Cove Cafe.

disney cruise bridge tour

It’s also where the AquaMouse begins, but we’ll get into that more on Deck 14.

disney cruise bridge tour

The Quiet Cove is a lounge and pool area that’s just for the adults . While you’re taking a break from the kids, you can also visit the  Moana -themed Cove Cafe , which has specialty drinks and snacks.

disney cruise bridge tour

There’s an open-air bar in this area serving drinks as well.

Deck 14 has a few staterooms , more pools, and deck space …

disney cruise bridge tour

…and the AquaMouse . The AquaMouse continues up to Deck 15 , and it’s the only thing on that deck that Disney has revealed so far.

disney cruise bridge tour

The AquaMouse is Disney’s first-ever attraction at sea. It’s a water ride that takes guests through a story told with Mickey Mouse cartoons . The story plays out on oversized portholes as guests join Mickey and Minnie on an underwater excursion.

disney cruise bridge tour

There will be immersive scenes, special effects, music, and lighting .

disney cruise bridge tour

Disney describes it this way: “At the height of the show, guests will  blast out of the tunnel  and embark on a  wild water ride around the upper decks . First, they’ll  zip into the forward funnel  through an enclosed tube surrounded by  dazzling lighting effects , followed by a  quick dash through a dark tunnel  that opens up to  reveal breathtaking views of the ocean.”

disney cruise bridge tour

Then, you’ll “ jet up and down a series of speed blasters  as they are propelled toward the  grand finale: a soaring loop over the edge of the ship, with clear views down to the deep blue sea .”

disney cruise bridge tour

The ride will actually have TWO different storylines , so you can go on it multiple times to see different versions!

disney cruise bridge tour

And that concludes our tour of Disney’s newest cruise ship, the  Wish . It looks like it’ll be a super fun and very luxurious ship, with plenty of entertainment, dining, and activities to keep everyone busy during the trip!
