Tina Arena Announces 2023 Australian ‘Love Saves’ Tour Dates
By Jules LeFevre
Australian music stalwart Tina Arena has announced a string of tour dates in support of her upcoming album Love Saves, which will hit shelves on Friday, 14th July. Suitably, the tour is billed as the ‘Love Saves World’ tour, and will begin with a show as part of the Night At The Barracks series in Sydney on Saturday, 7th October.
The singer will then follow it up with shows in Perth, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, and finally in Adelaide on Saturday, 21st October. See the full rundown of dates and ticketing details below.
Tina Arena: ‘House’
Love Saves will be Arena’s first new album of original songs in eight years, and will be her seventh wholly English-language album in her career. We’ve heard a couple of tracks from the record already: ‘House’, which received an official video just yesterday, and also ‘Dancing On Thin Ice’ – which was actually released in French as a teaser for the English version.
Arena, who’s equally as popular in her adopted home of France, has released three French-language albums across her career, the last being in 2018 with Quand tout Recommence .
“Like many of us, I retreated inwards during the pandemic. I found solace in music,” Arena shared in a press release. “I processed my feelings the only way I know how – through my art. From rock bottom, I ran the gauntlet of human emotion. I faced my own demons, emerging the other side transformed, triumphant, renewed and at peace. Remember, be brave, be vulnerable and love saves.”

Earlier this year, Tina gave a stirring call to action for artists during her powerful speech at the 2023 Shure Rolling Stone Australia Awards .
In front of a crowd of hundreds of artists, media, and industry professionals, Tina Arena was honoured with the first-ever Rolling Stone Icon Award.
“We’re not here to relay political messaging, but to inspire political messages. We’re here to point fingers at what’s not right, and inspire people to do something about it. Never give in, never surrender. We’re here to break rules, not obey them, break balls, and take names,” Tina said in her powerful speech at the ceremony.

Wow. Waited many years to see her. Early songs reminded me of a crazy time in my life. Some songs brought back memories of my life living in France. And her recent songs uplift me as my life right now is the best. She's an amazing singer, songwriter and has a stage presence of world star quality. This concert was amazing. When I got back to the hotel. I said to my boyfriend "I wanna go again now". Please come back soon. Tina your an amazing artist ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What an absolutely brilliant performer this lady is! I'd waited 20 years to see her live and she didn't disappoint. Her voice is incredible and it was at full throttle throughout. It's the first time I've seen an audience up on their feet during a ballad! The UK needs to pay more attention to an incredible singer songwriter in Tina. Such a confident, versatile performer and a great attitude to life..
My highlight was when she spoke in French to her travelling fans. She said, "You don't need a translation do you? DON'T get your phones out and use Google translator or I'll be pissed off"
She hates phones and she's absolutely right. Go Tina!
Great show; my first time seeing Tina Arena in concert was very much enjoyed. Three costume changes, a great mix of old hits and enjoyable newer songs - Tina knows how to deliver. Personal stories between the songs provided just the right level of personality and charm to help re-connect with older songs or build an attachment to a newer song.
My only two negatives 1) she's swapped up the emotion of her hit song 'Chains' to make it more empowering - which is great in theory and I'm sure she's just adding interest to a song that she's been performing for many years - but it changed the songs impact for me and detracted from my enjoyment of her major 'hit'. 2) she didn't offer us any indication of why she's been so popular in France for the past 20 years. I expected and hoped for a small set (2-4 songs) of her French language songs to showcase what Australia has 'overlooked' due to language barriers. Tina's voice sounds as every bit as good now as it did in her early career. Thoroughly enjoyed the show and would gladly see her again.

Tyne-James Organ announces Australian headline tour for August
Love is more than just an emotion. It is universal language that connects us all. The driving force of life. It cuts across all cultures and religions. Love transcends physical boundaries, borders both real and imaginary. Love is everything. It is the beginning and the end. It transforms. It’s true. I’m living proof.
Love Saves has become my new mantra and fittingly, the name of my 7th all English studio album – my first album of original material in almost 8 years. Love Saves is more than a new chapter in my career, it marks the beginning of an entirely new book! It represents a re-birth, a renaissance of sorts, a musical journal of my life during the pandemic.
Like many of us, I retreated inwards. I found solace in music. I processed my feelings the only way I know how – through my art. From rock bottom, I ran the gauntlet of human emotion. I faced my own demons, emerging the other side transformed, triumphant, renewed and at peace.
I am grateful for the opportunity to share my musings with you – my loyal audience, fans old and new. If not for you, I couldn’t do what I do. So, thank you from the bottom of my heart! Love Saves is my most personal album to date. It is a window into my soul. It is raw. It is real. It is me. I do hope you enjoy the ride, for it’s been a heartbreakingly beautiful one.
Remember, be brave, be vulnerable and love saves!

Arts & entertainment, design & style, travel & leisure, search concrete playground, tina — the tina turner musical.
Dedicated to the one and only Tina Turner, this musical will be simply the best.
They call it Tina — The Tina Turner Musical , oh Tina — The Tina Turner Musical — and it's finally coming to Australia. After premiering in London back in 2018, this stage ode to the music icon that's had Aussies dancing to 'Nutbush City Limits' for decades is making its way Down Under, locking in its first local stint in Sydney from May 2023.
No, it isn't taking to the stage in a church house, gin house, school house or outhouse — or on highway number 19, either. But Tina — The Tina Turner Musical will obviously have Theatre Royal Sydney enjoying Turner's greatest hits in one massive show. The list of musical numbers includes 'Nutbush City Limits', naturally, as well as everything from 'River Deep, Mountain High' and 'Proud Mary' through to 'Private Dancer' and 'What's Love Got to Do with It?'.
Tina — The Tina Turner Musical will open on Thursday, May 4, 2023, heading our way after also playing Hamburg, on Broadway, and in Utrecht and Madrid — and touring North America in 2022.
Penned by Tony Award-nominee and Pulitzer Prize-winner Katori Hall, plus Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, and directed by fellow Tony-nominee Phyllida Lloyd, Tina — The Tina Turner Musical clearly has quite the story to tell. The show steps through Turner's life and fame, including growing up in Nutbush, Tennessee, the hard work that led to her career, all of those aforementioned hits, her 12 Grammy Awards, her volatile time with Ike Turner and her huge solo success.
If you're a fan, Turner herself summed it up — yes, it's simply the best.

Olivia Rodrigo Adds Asia and Australia Legs to Guts World Tour
Olivia Rodrigo will tour Asia and Australia for the first time in her career, the singer announced Wednesday. Rodrigo has added nine international dates to her massive “ Guts ” world tour for a total of 82 shows globally.
The new dates kick off Sept. 16 in Bangkok, Thailand and continue through Seoul, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, Melbourne, and Sydney, wrapping up on Oct. 19 at Qudos Bank Arena. Additional dates may be added as Rodrigo wrote on social media, “Stay tuned, Manila!” Fans in the comment sections of her social posts are eager to hear when and if Rodrigo will also be adding Latin American dates to the trek but that has yet to be confirmed.
Popular on Variety
The “Guts” tour has since made stops in New York, Houston and Dublin, and will make its way towards London in the coming weeks. It will conclude on Oct. 18 in Sydney.
Tickets for the newly added Asia and Australia dates will be available starting with the American Express presale in select markets.
Rodrigo performed “Vampire” and “Get Him Back!” at MTV’s Video Music Awards on Tuesday night, following Lil Wayne as the second performer of the evening. It was her second-ever appearance at the show as Rodrigo made her VMAs debut in 2021 when she performed her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Good 4 U.”
“Guts” was released to high acclaim on Sept. 8 via Geffen Records and was preceded by two top 10 singles, “Vampire” and “Bad Idea Right?” “Vampire” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking Rodrigo the youngest artist to debut three No. 1 hits on the chart behind “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U.”
In an interview with Capital FM in England , Rodrigo said she wrote much of the songs on “Guts” with the concept of an accompanying tour “in mind.”
“I think there’s a lot of fun songs,” she said. “I wrote the album with a tour in mind, so I think they’re all songs I wanted people to be able to scream in a crowd. Hopefully, that’s what’s achieved.” A similar teaser — in the form of a faux ticket advertising “Olivia Rodrigo: Guts The World Tour” — appeared in a lyric video for “Making the Bed,” the sixth track off “Guts.”
Rodrigo last toured North America and Europe in support of her debut album “Sour” in 2022. It started on April 5 in Portland and ended on July 7 in London. Gracie Abrams, Holly Humberstone, Chappell Roan and Baby Queen served as opening acts.
