The adaptation of her classic 1980 movie 9 to 5 stormed Broadway over a decade ago before winning over the West End, but we've long wanted a musical that takes in all of Dolly's very biggest songs.

UK Tour of Dolly Parton Musical HERE YOU COME AGAIN Extends; Steven Webb to Join the Cast
The tour now includes weeks in Cambridge, Malvern, Edinburgh, Cheltenham, Bath, Blackpool and Liverpool.
Following the UK premiere of Here You Come Again in Leeds - where it runs from Saturday 11 May to Saturday 8 June - additional dates have been confirmed for the previously announced tour, which now includes weeks in Cambridge, Malvern, Edinburgh, Cheltenham, Bath, Blackpool and Liverpool. West End star Steven Webb (Oliver!, Book of Mormon), will join the company as ‘Kevin', a 40-year-old, has-been-who-never-was comedian in the new musical, alongside previously announced star and co-writer Tricia Paoluccio , who will reprise her celebrated role as ‘Dolly' following US acclaim.
Steven Webb began his career 30 years ago as the titular character in Sam Mendes ' production of Oliver! (London Palladium). Since then, he has appeared in a wide range of film, television and theatre. He has just finished a long stint starring as Elder McKinley in the West End run of The Book of Mormon. Prior to that he was perhaps best known as Posner in the second casting of The History Boys. Other theatre credits include I Want My Hat Back, On the Shore of the Wide World (National Theatre), As Is (Trafalgar Studios) as well as many productions at The Lyric Hammersmith including seven shows in Sean Holmes ' creative ensemble Secret Theatre.
He also has many television credits, having previously played roles in the much beloved BBC series Miranda and E4's The Inbetweeners.
Steven Webb says: “I'm beyond excited to be bringing Kevin to life here in the UK. I grew up listening to Dolly and other country music as my dad was a big fan. Twenty years ago, I was in a similar state to Kevin. I was down, a relationship had come clattering to a halt and I felt aimless. Then Dolly Parton played one night at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. So, I grabbed a ticket and took myself down there. Just like Kevin, I was inspired, galvanised and uplifted by Dolly and her message of love and perseverance. It was practically life-changing. And that's why she means so much to so many people. It's no coincidence that the hashtag WhatWouldDollyDo became a life motto for so many. Getting to sing and hear her biggest hits (and watch Tricia embody Dolly) every night is going to be the greatest gift a show could ever give.”
For the first time ever, all of Dolly Parton 's biggest hits are brought together in a rollicking and joyful new musical, fully authorised by Dolly herself. Packed with iconic songs like Jolene, 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, I Will Always Love You, Here You Come Again and more, this lively and touching new musical tells the story of a diehard fan whose imagined version of international icon Dolly Parton gets him through trying times.
Kevin has just separated from his long-time boyfriend, Jeremy, an investment banker, and is in quarantine in the attic bedroom of his childhood home in Yorkshire. Surrounded by precious belongings from his youth, he is reunited with a much-loved old record player and his cherished Dolly albums. He remembers the hard times those songs helped him through in the past and counts on them to help him once again. With her wit, humour and charm, Dolly teaches him a whole lot about life, love and how to pull yourself up by your bootstraps… even if your bootstraps don't have rhinestones!
After its UK premiere in Leeds, the tour then continues to: Curve Theatre, Leicester; Theatre Royal, Newcastle; Arts Theatre, Cambridge; Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury; Theatre Royal, Nottingham; Malvern Theatres, Malvern; Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh; His Majesty's Theatre, Aberdeen; Cliffs Pavilion, Southend; Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff; Theatre Royal, Brighton; Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham; Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield; Richmond Theatre, Richmond; King's Theatre, Glasgow; Theatre Royal, Norwich; Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham; New Victoria Theatre, Woking; The Lowry, Salford; Theatre Royal, Bath; Milton Keynes Theatre, Milton Keynes; Grand Theatre, Blackpool Grand before concluding at the Empire Theatre, Liverpool.
Having enjoyed several successful runs across the United States, Here You Come Again was originally written by multi-Emmy award-winning comedy and songwriter Bruce Vilanch with Gabriel Barre (who also directs) and writer and actor Tricia Paoluccio (who co-writes and stars as Dolly). Acclaimed British TV and theatre writer Jonathan Harvey (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Coronation Street) provides additional material. Further casting to be announced.

A Dolly Parton-Inspired Musical Will Tour The UK Before Landing On The West End
Tumble out of bed and stumble to the West End to see the Dolly Parton musical, 'Here You Come Again', featuring all her biggest hits.
If you don’t love Dolly Parton , we need to check for a pulse. The Queen of Country is nothing short of a cultural icon – with hundreds of millions of records sold worldwide, her very own theme park , Dollywood, and more global hits than you can shake your hips at. So take a break from the 9 to 5 when the Dolly Parton musical, Here You Come Again hits the UK.
Having enjoyed several successful runs across the United States, Here You Come Again is set to land on our very own West End. It brings together all of Dolly Parton’s biggest hits for the first time in one feel-good musical. It all kicks off at Leeds Playhouse from May 11 to June 8, after which the show will tour all across the country . There’s even a small run at the Richmond Theatre (September 24-28) for Londoners who can’t wait for it to hit the West End!
A Very Dolly Parton Musical
Packed with iconic songs like Jolene , 9 to 5 , Islands in the Stream , I Will Always Love You , Here You Come Again, and more, the musical isn’t about the country superstar herself. Instead, it follows the tradition of jukebox musicals like Mamma Mia! and We Will Rock You by telling a brand new story. It follows a diehard fan whose imagined version of international icon Dolly Parton gets him through trying times.
Here You Come Again was originally written by multi-Emmy award-winning comedy and songwriter Bruce Vilanch with Gabriel Barre (who also directs) and writer and actor Tricia Paoluccio (who co-writes and stars as Dolly). It has now been adapted by British TV and theatre writer Jonathan Harvey ( Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Coronation Street ).
Said director Gabriel Barre, whose credits include productions of Amazing Grace , Billy Elliot, Sweeney Todd , and more:
“Setting it in the UK with a brilliant new British actor playing the lead role of Kevin, along with a creative UK design team, gives us a chance to take a fresh approach to a story that features all of Dolly’s biggest hits, along with her wit and wisdom, which the world needs today, more than ever. She will be gloriously brought to life by the American actor, Tricia Paoluccio, who has been stunning audiences everywhere, embodying the spirit, humour, and heart that have made Dolly an enduring icon.”
Here You Come Again 2024 UK Tour
Here You Come Again will kick off in Leeds with an almost month-long run. It will then tour all across the country, after which it will settle down for a London run.

Beyoncé Shares Tracklist For ‘Cowboy Carter’ Album, Which Hints At Dolly Parton And Willie Nelson Collabs
- Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below
Beyoncé ‘s Cowboy Carter album drops on Friday, March 29 — and just days before the highly anticipated release, the superstar has shared the official tracklist.
During the Super Bowl on Feb. 11, the one and only Queen Bey shocked fans by unexpectedly dropping two country-based singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages.” Unsurprisingly, the football game quickly took a backseat to the exciting news for the BeyHive as it became the launching pad for “Act II” of the singer’s three-act project, which began with Renaissance.
It didn’t take long for Beyoncé to climb the charts and make history as the first Black woman to top the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart on Feb. 25 when “Texas Hold ‘Em” hit No. 1 while “16 Carriages” made it to No. 9, Billboard reported.
Fast forward to March 27, and the 32-time Grammy winner’s latest Instagram post appears to be the official unveiling of the Cowboy Carter tracklist. The song generating the most excitement across social media is “Jolene,” which many believe is a cover of country icon Dolly Parton ‘s 1973 single. Meanwhile, “Smoke Hour” is a possible duet with Willie Nelson . Variety also reports that the album is believed to potentially have a Travis Scott collaboration.
Whilst announcing Cowboy Carter on March 19, Beyoncé teased there will be a “ few surprises on the album” and that she “collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect.”
Elsewhere on the tracklist, “The Linda Martell Show” seemingly pays tribute to country music pioneer Linda Martell , the first Black woman to make it as a successful commercial country artist, as well as the first Black solo artist to play the Grand Ole Opry, according to Variety.

Cowboy Carter follows 2022’s Renaissance album, the first part of the three-part series of project. The accompanying tour grossed $579 million, making it the “highest-grossing tour by a female artist in history,” per Entertainment Weekly ; the film adaption of the tour raked in just under $44 million.
As Blavity reported, Beyoncé clarified via Instagram that Cowboy Carter , which has been five years in the making, “ain’t a Country album” but a “Beyoncé album.”
“It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed…and it was very clear that I wasn’t. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive,” she wrote at the time. “It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history.”
Who else is counting down the days until Cowboy Carter drops?

The Drinks Business
Dolly parton to launch alcoholic drinks range.
Country musician and entrepreneur Dolly Parton is launching a range of alcoholic beverages, according to reports.
According to The Sun , the singer has trademark in America, as well as the Intellectual Property Office in the UK, under “Parton Family Cellars”.
The UK application comes under a Class 33 trade mark, which covers alcoholic beverages but excludes beers, and is highlighted as wines, sparkling wines and Champagne.
Although Parton has admitted to not being much of a drinker herself, with alcoholism on both sides of her family, she has previously mentioned having he occasional drop to reporters.
Now the move looks to build on her already impressive business empire, which also includes a collection of dog treats dubbed “Doggy Parton”, her co-owned theme park Dollywood, her acting career and, of course, her long-term music career.
It is understood from the reports that Parton could be releasing the range of wines as early as this year, with the trade marked name “family cellars” hinting the venture could potentially include family members or perhaps a partnership with a wine estate.
A source told the The Sun : “Dolly is always looking at new ways to reach her audience and thought her own wine was a swell idea.
“She isn’t a huge drinker herself but she likes to have something special when she does fancy a tipple.
“She has been involved in developing the wine and is excited for it to hit the shelves.”
Previously Parton told the New York Times in the 1990s that she prefers red wine . “I don’t know too much about different kinds. But I know I like the kind that has a little of that dryish feeling at the end.”
In addition, she has highlighted that she drinks wine on the plane, when she gets nervous during turbulence. She told Kix TV : “I’d always drink some of the wine on the plane… I always call it…Summers Eve wine.”
“So I was drinking wine, my mama said, ‘I don’t like you drinkin’. I said, ‘Well mama, it’s just a little wine, I get nervous.’”

Here You Come Again UK Tour
Dolly parton musical here you come again announces lead casting and further dates.
The show was first seen across the Atlantic
Lead casting has been revealed for new Dolly Parton musical Here You Come Again, which will have its UK premiere this summer, as part of Leeds Playhouse’s season.
Originally written by two-time Emmy award-winning comedy and songwriter Bruce Vilanch with Gabriel Barre (who also directs) and Tricia Paoluccio (who also plays Dolly), it has now been adapted for the UK by acclaimed British playwright Jonathan Harvey ( Gimme, Gimme, Gimme and Coronation Street ).
The musical, which tells the story of a diehard fan whose fantasy version of international icon Dolly Parton gets him through trying times, features numbers such as “Jolene”, “9 to 5”, “Islands in the Stream”, “I Will Always Love You”, “Here You Come Again” and more.
Steven Webb (who has concluded a long stint in The Book of Mormon) will play die-hard fan Kevin. He said today: “I’m beyond excited to be bringing Kevin to life here in the UK. I grew up listening to Dolly and other country music as my dad was a big fan. Twenty years ago, I was in a similar state to Kevin. I was down, a relationship had come clattering to a haltand I felt aimless. Then Dolly Parton played one night at the Hammersmith Apollo in London. So, I grabbed a ticket and took myself down there.
“Just like Kevin, I was inspired, galvanised and uplifted by Dolly and her message of love and perseverance. It was practically life changing. And that’s why she means so much to so many people. It’s no coincidence that the hashtag WhatWouldDollyDo became a life motto for so many. Getting to sing and hear her biggest hits (and watch Tricia embody Dolly) every night is going to be the greatest gift a show could ever give.”
