As expected, the Rolling Stones have announced they are going back on the road in 2024 behind their recently released “ Hackney Diamonds” album . The group, led by core members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Ron Wood, will perform in 16 cities across the U.S. and Canada, playing a combination of classics, deep cuts and songs from the new album, according to the announcement. The tour, which launches on April 28 and wraps on July 17, is promoted by AEG Presents’ Concerts West.

Popular on Variety

The group last played North America on the “No Filter” tour in 2021, just weeks after the death of drummer Charlie Watts, who had missed exactly one concert since joining the group in 1962. The forthcoming tour hits most major markets, along with a stop at the 2024 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for a special performance on May 2. Full tour routing is below.

SLIPKNOT Announces 'Here Comes The Pain' Summer 2024 North American Tour

Heavy titans and cultural phenomenon SLIPKNOT are pleased to announce the North American portion of their "Here Comes The Pain" tour. This year the nine are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their seminal debut album, "Slipknot" , which catapulted the band back in 1999.

In addition to recently announced dates across the globe, the "Here Comes The Pain" tour, produced by Live Nation , includes arena plays nationwide this summer. Highlights include New York City's Madison Square Garden, Los Angeles' Intuit Dome, Austin's Moody Center and more with direct support from Kentucky's young and vibrant hardcore/metal forerunners KNOCKED LOOSE . ORBIT CULTURE and VENDED are confirmed as support on select dates.

Knotfest.com 's artist presale tickets are available today at 12 p.m. ET. Tickets will be available to the general public on Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. local time. See below for a full list of dates, including SLIPKNOT 's homecoming performance at Knotfest Iowa in which the band will play a unique set drawing heavily from their 1999 debut, celebrating 25 years of the self-titled album along with their fans.

There actually was a time when SLIPKNOT and the maggots (the loving name for their fans) did not completely rule the world. 25 years ago, the Des Moines band were just some guys trying to get their new LP noticed — a record that would start their metamorphosis into the most crucial band of the 21st century. That record would change rock as we know it, measuring success with a yardstick bigger than music, one for the influence on youth culture writ large. But these faceless demons from middle America would not only capture the hearts of the youth, they would help guide their tastes, and challenge them and their kin towards a new future.

Released on June 29, 1999, SLIPKNOT 's self-titled debut was a smash hit with critics and an instant classic with fans. It was, and is, a molotov cocktail signaling a revolution — embracing a creative direction that eschewed metal traditions in favor of fresh ideas. While the jaw-clenching riffs coupled with Ross Robinson 's venomous production were crucial to the album's success, it was the care and attention to detail in the songcraft that moved the needle from "great" to "benchmark." Not too shabby for a bunch of guys that only hoped to be heard.

"We loved what we did with the first record but we didn't even know if there was gonna be anything after that," recalls guitarist Jim Root . "We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours– those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us."

In the years following, SLIPKNOT 's popularity nipped at the heels of elder statesmen and even the band's heroes, eventually navigating this brave new world with unending drive, fresh ideas and a bloodlust for odometer clicks. Tens of billions of streams and tens of millions of subscribers and followers later, the accolades tell the story: 64 award nominations and 27 wins including a Grammy for "Before I Forget" from "Vol. 3" . A seemingly endless number of tour dates. Headlining slots at some of the biggest festivals in the world such as Download , Rock In Rio , Hellfest , Wacken and many more. Not to mention RIAA certifications by the truckload — 14 platinum certifications and 40 gold across more than 30 million in record and video sales.

In addition, SLIPKNOT positioned themselves for success with the creation of their own festival Knotfest in 2012, a traveling, multi-stage and experiential event that has appeared 28 times across several countries and locations. The festival has since spun off into a successful entertainment media hub — Knotfest.com , which became a juggernaut of its own making, giving a platform to young freethinkers and like-minded artists.

All of SLIPKNOT 's achievements have helped them claim their rightful seat as pioneers and thought leaders, establishing them as a generational talent — loved by parents and their children alike. And of course with all those incredible live performances, all that influence, and all that history of playing all those incredible songs, SLIPKNOT has only attracted the most dedicated of fans, reaching all the way back to that fateful self-titled effort.

SLIPKNOT is approaching this 25th anniversary by making the conscious decision to connect to fans as closely as possible, in a similar way to how they encountered SLIPKNOT all those years ago.

"Every time I've walked on stage, it's never been about how many people have been there because my culture, the maggots, always show up," says founding member Shawn "Clown" Crahan with a smile. "But as we've grown as a band, we have had fewer and fewer of those intimate, personal moments, trading them for massive ones. So we're gonna make it more personal on the anniversary, but how remains to be seen. Just get ready to have your face kicked in. Because we just do what we do, spread that maggot culture – that disease. And you've been infected."

*The tour wants to give fans, not scalpers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. To make this possible they have chosen to use Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. If fans purchase tickets for a show in the U.S. or Canada and can’t attend, they’ll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid. To help protect the Exchange, the tour has requested all tickets be mobile only and restricted from transfer. This applies to all shows except those in Colorado, Illinois, and New York where Face Value Exchange cannot be mandated. Please note, a valid bank account or debit card within the country of your event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange. More information on how the Ticketmaster Exchange works is available here .

Blink-182 Announces Massive 2024 'One More Time' Stadium and Arena Tour

The recently reunited pop-punk icons will take their new album 'One More Time' on the road across North America next summer

Blink-182 ’s reunion is still going strong.

On Monday, the pop-punk icons announced they’re going on a massive 2024 North American tour. The band featuring Mark Hoppus , Tom DeLonge and Travis Barker will play stadiums and arenas in support of their new album One More Time , which arrived on Friday and is the band’s first release with their iconic lineup since 2011.

The One More Time Tour features 30 dates across the U.S. and Canada in summer 2024. The alternative rockers will kick off their shows in Orlando on June 20 and perform in major cities and venues such as Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium, New York City’s Citi Field, Boston’s Fenway Park, among others, before wrapping up in Toronto on Aug. 15. In their hometown of San Diego, the trio will take the stage at Petco Park stadium.

The “All the Small Things” group has recruited fellow ‘00s pop-punk hitmakers Pierce the Veil as their special guest on the road. On select dates, they'll also be joined by post-hardcore group Alexisonfire .

Blink-182’s newly announced tour will be their first time taking One More Time on the road across North America. The new record came just over one year after the band announced they were getting back together with the core trio for the first time since vocalist/guitarist DeLonge, 47, exited the group in 2015 and was replaced by Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba for a period.

In 2022, the “I Miss You” outfit officially launched their reunion with the release of the lead single off their ninth studio album, “ Edging ,” and this year they returned to the stage with a headlining set at Coachella , followed by a world tour and other festival appearances.

Their 2024 North American concerts will follow their international dates in New Zealand, Australia and Latin America early next year.

Tickets for the One More Time Tour go on sale beginning Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. local time on blink182.com .

Slipknot guitarist Jim Root said this about the record:

“We loved what we did with the first record but we didn't even know if there was gonna be anything after that. We just wanted people to hear it. Selling out of records and shows, having successful tours– those are goals for any band. But the dream scenario in some ways, came true for us.”

The Rolling Stones announce tour dates for 2024 across North America

The Rolling Stones perform in Solna, Sweden.

Last month, The Rolling Stones released  “Hackney Diamonds,”  their first album of original material in 18 years.

Tuesday, the legendary English band announced they’re taking it on the road.

Starting on April 28 in Houston and concluding in Santa Clara, California, on July 17, the Stones will make their way across the U.S. and Canada.

The tour hits 16 major cities, including New Orleans, Las Vegas, Seattle, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Denver, Chicago, Los Angeles and Vancouver, British Columbia.

Fans can expect to experience the Stones’ most popular hits as well as new tracks from “Hackney Diamonds.”

The Stones last performed across the U.S. in 2021 for their No Filter tour, marking the first time the band had toured without drummer Charlie Watts since 1963. Watts, the self-effacing and unshakeable Rolling Stones drummer who helped anchor one of rock’s greatest rhythm sections,  died in August 2021. He was 80.

north america tour announced

The producers of the acclaimed Broadway revival of  Parade , winner of the 2023 Tony Award ®   for Best Revival of a Musical and Grammy Award ®  nominee for Best Musical Theater Album, announced today that a North American Tour will launch in January 2025.

The production will run technical rehearsals and have its first public performances at Proctors Theatre in Schenectady, followed by its official tour premiere at Hennepin Theatre Trust’s historic Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis. Additional tour stops, casting and on-sale dates will be announced later.

In a joint statement, the producers of  Parade  said, “When  Jason Robert Brown ’s and  Alfred Uhry ’s masterpiece played its record-breaking and sold-out runs at New York City Center and on Broadway, it was heralded by critics for its stellar performances, magnificent score, impassioned direction, and of course, its timeliness. We are honored that we can bring  Parade  to audiences across North America so that they too can experience this once in a lifetime production in this moment in history.”

“It’s with immense pride for Hennepin Theatre Trust to launch the North American Tour of  Parade ,” says  Todd Duesing , Hennepin Theatre Trust president and CEO. “We’re honored that Minneapolis has been chosen as the official premiere city to tell this important story of the enduring power of human resilience and redemption. It’s a testament to our city’s cultural significance and artistic appreciation where diverse audiences come together to experience the magic of Broadway.”

Parade  is directed by Tony Award ®  winner  Michael Arden , with book by two-time Tony Award ®  winner, Pulitzer Prize winner, and Academy Award ®   winner  Alfred Uhry , music and lyrics by three-time Tony Award ®   winner  Jason Robert Brown , and co-conceived by 21-time Tony Award-winning legend  Harold Prince .

The production has received overwhelming acclaim since its debut. The  New York Times  said, “this revival, filled with deft flourishes by director Michael Arden, recalls an era of big casts, big stories, and big talent – a time when musicals actually felt like events.”  Entertainment Weekly  called  Parade  “the most gorgeous production on Broadway.”   Deadline  proclaimed that  Parade  is “a work of art! As commanding as any musical revival to hit Broadway in years.”  Time Out New York  stated that “Parade will echo for a long time to come. See it before the parade passes by.”

Leo and Lucille Frank are a newlywed Jewish couple struggling to make a life in the old red hills of Georgia. When Leo is accused of an unspeakable crime, it propels them into an unimaginable test of faith, humanity, justice, and devotion. Riveting and gloriously hopeful,  Parade  reminds us that to love, we must truly see one another.

Parade  played its final performance of its strictly limited Broadway engagement on Sunday, August 6, 2023. This production first premiered at New York City Center where it was instantly sold out, playing November 1-6, 2022.

The Grammy Award-nominated  Parade (2023 Broadway Cast Recording) , is available on all digital platforms.  Parade.lnk.to/BroadwayCastRecording

The creative team for  Parade  includes  Lauren Yalango-Grant & Christopher Cree Grant  (choreography), Tony Award   nominee  Dane Laffrey  (scenic design), Tony Award winner  Susan Hilferty  (costume design), Tony Award ®  nominee  Heather Gilbert  (lighting design), Drama Desk Award nominee  Jon Weston  (sound design), Tony Award nominee  Sven Ortel  (projection design),  Tom Watson  (hair and wig design),  Kimberlee Wertz  (music coordinator), and  Telsey + Co/Craig Burns, CSA  (casting director).  Parade  was originally directed on Broadway by Harold Prince.
