The Best Cash-Back Travel Rewards Cards

Greece

Condé Nast Traveler has partnered with CardRatings for our coverage of credit card products. Condé Nast Traveler and CardRatings may receive a commission from card issuers. We don't review or include all companies, or all available products. Moreover, the editorial content on this page was not provided by any of the companies mentioned, and has not been reviewed, approved or otherwise endorsed by any of these entities. Opinions expressed here are entirely those of Condé Nast Traveler's editorial team.

UPDATE: Welcome offers for the cards listed below may be out of date. Confirm the current welcome offers on each card issuer's site.

Travel rewards credit cards come in many forms: Some are co-branded with a specific airline or hotel chain , while others accrue points that can be transferred to travel partners through the issuer’s own loyalty program , like Chase Ultimate Rewards. And then there's a third type: One that earns fixed-rate points that can be redeemed for cash back on travel and other purchases.

That third type is especially useful for consumers who don’t have the time or inclination to search for airline and hotel awards, and just want to earn a solid return on their spending. What’s more, fixed-value cash-back points are more versatile than airline miles and hotel points—you can use them on a wider range of travel expenses than standard travel rewards cards, like car rentals, train tickets, and campground fees.

Here are the top nine rewards credit cards for earning cash back towards travel, and why each is especially useful.

Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card

Earning and cash-back value: The Venture Rewards card earns two miles per dollar on every purchase, but five miles per dollar on hotels and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel. Each mile can be redeemed for statement credits toward travel purchases such as airline or train tickets, hotel rooms, car rentals, taxis and cruises, or retail gift cards at a rate of one cent apiece, so your return on spending is a sterling two percent.

Annual fee: $95

Sign-up bonus: 50,000 bonus miles (worth $500) when you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months.

Why it’s worth considering: In addition to redeeming miles for cash back, cardholders can also transfer their miles at a rate of two Capital One miles to 1-1.5 airline miles to 15 airline partners such as Air Canada, JetBlue, and Singapore Airlines. Capital One waives foreign transaction fees and will reimburse you for a TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application once every four years. Beware, though: While travel and gift card redemption rates are one cent per mile, if you redeem miles for statement credits toward other purchases, such as a restaurant bill or a grocery tab, you only get a half-cent in value.

Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card

Earning and cash-back value: Cardholders earn 1.25 miles per dollar on all purchases and 10 miles per dollar on Hotels.com bookings through January 2020. Miles can be redeemed at one cent apiece toward travel and gift cards.

Annual fee: $0

Sign-up bonus: 20,000 bonus miles (worth $200) when you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first three months.

Why it’s worth considering: If you're looking for a CapitalOne card, the VentureOne is a great no-fee alternative to the Venture. It still has a solid rate of return and waives foreign transaction fees. Stick to travel and gift-card redemptions since you only get half the value by redeeming for other purchases.

Chase Freedom Unlimited

Earning and cash-back value: Cardholders earn 1.5 points per dollar on all purchases, plus five points per dollar on travel purchased through the Chase Ultimate Rewards portal and three points per dollar on drugstore purchases and dining. Points can then be redeemed at a rate of one cent apiece for travel or any other purchase.

Why it’s worth considering: A potential first-year return on spending of 3% for a card with no annual fee is reason enough to apply. And if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred or the Chase Sapphire Reserve too, you can combine your cash-back points with the ones you earn with them. That means the ability to transfer your points to the Ultimate Rewards program’s airline and hotel partners like Southwest and United, or get a better rate of return on your cash-back redemptions for travel bookings made through the Chase travel site (1.25 cents per point with the Preferred and 1.5 cents with the Reserve).

Learn more about applying for the Chase Freedom Unlimited here .

Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard

Earning and cash-back value: This card earns two miles per dollar on all purchases. Miles can be redeemed for a broad array of travel expenses, including airline tickets and hotel stays, but also taxes and fees on tickets, incidental charges like room service, as well as purchases like cruises, train fares , and car rentals. The redemption rate is one cent per mile but you get a 5% mileage refund, so your return on spending is more like 2.1%.

Annual fee: $89, waived the first year.

Sign-up bonus: Usually 50,000 miles (worth $500) after spending $3,000 in the first 90 days. However, it was recently as high as 70,000 miles after spending $5,000 in the first 90 days.

Why it’s worth considering: the Barclaycard Arrival Plus is a top choice for international travel since it waives foreign transaction fees and has Chip + PIN capability, making it more compatible with machines in other countries. Its World Elite Mastercard benefits include a $10 credit for every five Lyft rides taken each calendar month, and $5 off Postmates orders of $25 or more.

Learn more about applying for the Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard here .

Bank of America Premium Rewards Credit Card

Earning and cash-back value: This card earns two points per dollar on travel purchases and 1.5 points per dollar on everything else. Depending on how much you have in deposits with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch through their Preferred Rewards banking tiers, you can boost your earnings 25% to 75%. ( Read more about the terms on Bank of America's website, here. ) Points can then be redeemed for cash back as a statement credit, for gift cards or purchases through the Bank of America Travel Center, or as a deposit to a Bank of America account—all at a rate of one cent apiece. That means your rate of return could be as high as 3.5%, depending on your purchases and deposits.

2024 Readers' Choice Awards Survey

Sign-up bonus: 50,000 bonus points (worth $500) after you make at least $3,000 in purchases in the first 90 days.

Why it’s worth considering: In addition to waived foreign transaction fees, cardholders can enjoy $100 in statement credits for airline incidentals like checked bags or upgrades each year, and a reimbursement of up to $100 for either Global Entry or TSA PreCheck applications once every four years.

Learn more about applying for the Bank of America Premium Rewards Credit Card here .

SunTrust Travel Rewards Credit Card

Earning and cash-back value: This card’s earning structure includes unlimited 3% cash back on travel purchases, 2% back on dining, and 1% on everything else.

Sign-up bonus: $250 statement credit after making $3,000 in qualifying purchases in the first three months.

Why it’s worth considering: Waived foreign transaction fees, a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application reimbursement every five years, and the ease of redeeming points for simple cash back are all reasons to get the SunTrust Travel Rewards card.

Learn more about applying for the SunTrust Travel Rewards Credit Card here .

Citi Rewards+

Earning and cash-back value: Cardholders earn two points per dollar at supermarkets and gas stations for the first $6,000 per year, and one point per dollar on everything else. Plus, your earnings are rounded up to the nearest 10 points on each purchase—so if you spend a dollar, you still earn 10 points. Those points are worth one cent apiece when redeemed for gift cards, cash back, or travel booked through ThankYou.com. Plus, you get 10% of your points back on the first 100,000 you redeem each year.

Sign-up bonus: Earn 15,000 points (worth $150) after spending $1,000 in the first three months.

Why we love it: Depending where you spend money, the Citi Rewards card can be a top earner thanks not only to its category bonuses, but also that rounding-up feature. If you have a more premium Citi card that earns ThankYou points , like the Prestige, you can also transfer the points you earn with this one to the program’s 15 airline partners, including Air France/KLM, JetBlue, and Virgin Atlantic.

Learn more about applying for the Citi Rewards+ Card here .

Discover it Miles

Earning and cash-back value: Earn an unlimited 1.5 miles per dollar on all purchases, which can be redeemed for one cent apiece for travel or for cash as a direct deposit to your bank account. Your final return on spending: 1.5%.

Sign-up bonus: Discover will match the miles you earn at the end of your first year, which effectively gives you a 3% return on spending for your first year.

Why it’s worth considering: No annual fee, a great rate of return, and a simple earning/redeeming formula that applies to all purchases—not just travel—make the Discover it Miles card a no-brainer. Discover typically isn't accepted as broadly as Visa and Mastercard, though.

Learn more about applying for the Discover it Miles Card here .

U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve Visa Infinite Card

Earning and cash-back value: Earn three points per dollar on travel and mobile wallet purchases, and one point per dollar on everything else. Cardholders can redeem points for 1.5 cents apiece on airfare, hotels, and car rentals (or lower values for other purchases). If used mostly for travel, your rate of return is a considerable 4.5%.

Annual fee: $400

Sign-up bonus: Earn 50,000 points (worth $750 toward travel) after spending $4,500 in the first 90 days.

Why it’s worth considering: The annual fee is high, but in return, cardholders enjoy $325 in travel statement credits annually, 12 complimentary Gogo in-flight Wi-Fi passes each year, a 12-month Priority Pass Select membership for airport lounge access , reimbursement for a Global Entry or TSA PreCheck application every four years, and waived foreign transaction fees.

At first travel trolley let me down

At first travel trolley let me down, allowed me to book a flight and later i received an email explaining the flights iv selected not available. Then after i contacted them they found me another flight but later was also not available. Finally a manager called Norman was extremely helpful and gave me many options and finally booked me a better flight and gave me a better deal. 5 starts to Norman but 2 stars to the travel trolley system.

Excellent service

I don't leave many reviews, but I have been very impressed with Travel Trolley in the booking of my flights to Indonesia. They communicate promptly and efficiently and were the best price too! When I wanted to book specific seats, the airline wouldn't let me initially, but Travel Trolley updated the booking so that I received the OTP to make changes to the booking.

Date of experience : 25 June 2024

Dear Chris, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your thoughts and positive experience you had with Travel Trolley for your flights booking to Indonesia. It's so rewarding to read such things and know that what we're doing is positively affecting our customers. Regards, Travel Trolley

I have paid for a round trip and the return flight was cancelled without any notification because I did not attend the outbound flight . This is outrageus. Never going to use this agency again .

Date of experience : 28 June 2024

Dear Our valued Customer, We would like to apologise for the lack of communication associated with your return flight. Regarding the cancellation of your return flight, it follows a common policy in the airline industry known as the 'no-show' policy. According to this policy, if a passenger doesn't show up for their outbound flight, the return trip is usually cancelled automatically. This is a policy we adhere to by instruction of the airlines we work with. Regards, Travel Trolley

terrible experience

I wouldn't book with them again, terrible experience ... cancellation within mins is £105 however, they had an option to add before booking £9.99 which allows free cancellation and 100% refund... £9.99 vs £105 just for 3 mins after booking, why such huge difference ?? this is opportunistic loot !!

Date of experience : 24 June 2024

Dear Our Valued Customer, Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I understand that you are disappointed with the cancellation fee. However, in accordance with airline policy, charges will be applied for any changes or cancellations to an issued ticket according to fare rules. Furthermore, since you had not opted for same-day free cancellation, the cancellation advice was given according to fare rules. Regards, Travel Trolley

Good experience issued ticket within a…

Good experience issued ticket within a few hours. Sometimes the session expired took me a longtime to book flight on the whole very good

Date of experience : 08 June 2024

Dear Maria, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with issuing your ticket within a few hours. We understand that you faced some issues with the session expiration during your booking. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you and appreciate your patience in this matter. We are consistently working on improving our website's functionality and your feedback is of great value in this endeavour. Regards, Travel Trolley

Good experience with their services

Good experience with their services. They issued the ticket within less than 1 hour after payment, of course there are some issues for the payment. They resolved them and greatly helpful. Finally satisfied after receiving the confirmed tickets and verified with the airlines website. Recommend their services to avoid stressful booking.

Date of experience : 13 June 2024

Dear Our Valued Customer, Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We are genuinely pleased to know that you had an excellent experience with our services and that we were able to meet your expectations. Our primary goal is ensuring our customers have a hassle-free ticket booking experience and we're thrilled to know that is exactly what was achieved. We are particularly pleased to hear that you had your issues resolved promptly and were satisfied with your confirmed tickets. Regards, Travel Trolley

Cancellation policy and inefficient customer care

Had planned family holidays, booked with Travel Trolley. Unfortunately a member of the family had a medical emergency requiring our trip to be cancelled. I had called them over the weekend and asked the ticket to be cancelled and the money to be refunded. I was asked to provide a Medical Certificate and it was emailed to them. Their email is not legitimate! On calling today, with less than 24 hours of travel, I am told that I am now being considered as "no show" and not eligible for refund! Appalling customer care. I would like to make a formal complaint, since this company is a disgrace.

Date of experience : 18 June 2024

Thank you for reaching out and providing us with the relevant information. We understand your concern regarding the cancellation and refund of your booked flight. However, as per our investigation, we couldn't validate your email on the said date. As per airline existing policy, the cancellations are to be made at least 24-hours prior to the departure to avoid any additional charges. We comprehend that the situation might have occurred due to an unforeseen medical circumstance. However, it is pertinent to note that airline policies do not provide exceptions in such cases. We anticipate your understanding concerning the stipulated policies governing cancellations and refunds. Regards, Travel Trolley

Okay but better options are out there

Booked some British Airways flights through Travel Trolley. It did the job for purchasing the flights but when I wanted to reschedule the return journey I was quoted hundreds to do so. They also sent the wrong booking ref. on the itinerary and I can't check my flights on their website as it says it doesn't have a record of them (the BA website does luckily). My friend booked directly through BA and has had much less hassle overall (including rescheduling for free).

Date of experience : 28 January 2024

Dear Our Valued Customer, Thank you for your feedback and taking the time to share your recent experience with us. Firstly, we deeply apologise for the inconvenience you have faced due to incorrect booking references and other issues related to rescheduling your British Airways flight. We understand the frustration and worry that miscommunications and mistakes like these can cause, and we assure you we're working continuously to improve our processes. With regard to the additional fees for rescheduling, unfortunately the charges are often set by the airlines and it can vary depending on the terms and conditions of the specific ticket that was purchased. . Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this matter.. Regards, Travel Trolley

I had some issues with my booking and…

I had some issues with my booking and baggage allowance. Realised this 2 days before my flight and travel trolley arranged for the solution. Their senior sales travel consultant helped me out as I sat extremely anxious and was very kind. Thank you so much!!!

Date of experience : 05 June 2024

Dear Prachi, Thank you for your kind words and appreciation. We're glad to hear that our senior sales travel consultant was able to provide the necessary assistance, and we assure you that your feedback will reach them and serve as a great motivator. Our main goal is to provide our customers with satisfactory experiences, especially when unforeseen circumstances arise. We are glad that we could make your travel process less stressful. Regards, Travel Trolley

Travel Trolley Thieves

I had to cancel my tickets due to bad health. I was told by travel trolley that the only way to get a full refund is if the ticket holder has died or got cancer. However I got cancer and gave travel trolley evidence to support my claim but suddenly they couldnt give me a full refund. I got pathetic excuse after pathetic excuse just so they didnt have to refund me my ticket. I would NOT recommend travel trolley as I feel they are money grabbing thieves. Never heard such pathetic excuses in my life So does that mean you will give me a full refund???

Date of experience : 12 June 2024

We apologise profoundly for the distress our customer service has caused you. Our customers are of the utmost importance to us, and it's disheartening to hear that we have not served you adequately. We take allegations of false promises and unsatisfactory service very seriously, so rest assured, your grievances will be acknowledged and action will be taken. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused. Regards, Travel Trolley

We help our readers each week by rounding up ongoing monthly promotions so you don't have to scour the internet for the best reward redemptions and offers. Discounted Avianca LifeMiles redemptions on select routes

If you're ready to book a flight by July 4 and have some Avianca LifeMiles in your account, you could find value in the loyalty program's latest promo .

  • Buy two tickets and get the miles back for one ticket on select routes . (This effectively gets you two tickets for the redemption rate of one.) You can get a second ticket refunded if you redeem miles for two or more tickets (in multiples of two), per the offer's landing page.
  • Get 20% of your redeemed miles back when you book select routes to Europe with LifeMiles.
  • You must redeem by July 4 to receive this offer.

Triple ANA miles for IHG stays

You could already earn 3 ANA miles per dollar spent on IHG stays, but once you register for the promotion, that rate will triple through August.

  • Earn 9 miles per dollar spent on IHG stays (normally 3 miles per dollar). Earn 3 miles on Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites and the Venetian Resort Las Vegas (normally 1 mile per dollar).
  • You have to register for the promotion and set ANA miles as your point-earning preference to redeem this offer.
  • Register now for stays between July 1 and Aug. 31.

Flying Blue paid status match opportunity for US residents

We've included Air France-KLM Flying Blue's status match deal for residents of the U.K., Germany, Spain and various other countries for months. However, the airline loyalty program recently rolled out the ability for U.S. residents to apply for a Flying Blue status match as well.

  • You can match your status across 18 loyalty programs to the corresponding Flying Blue tier. Find the full list here .
  • This is a paid status match opportunity. Flying Blue members based in the U.S. can pay $99 or $299 to match to Silver or Gold status, respectively. U.S. residents cannot use this promo to match to Platinum status.
  • Your status is valid for 12 months after you're matched. You have to requalify based on status requirements if you wish to extend your matched status after these 12 months are up.

Russian state media claim Kanye West is visiting Moscow

  • Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below

Russian state media claimed Sunday that American rapper and producer Kanye West is visiting Moscow, but CNN has not been able to independently verify he is actually there.

West, who now goes by Ye, arrived in Moscow on a private visit, according to the brand team for Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, state media TASS reported. Rubchinskiy is the head of design for the rapper’s fashion brand Yeezy.

West himself allegedly posted on the Russian social media website VK on Sunday saying, “Hi, Moscow,” according to state media RIA Novosti. However, his account on VK is not verified.

The visit – if true – would make West the first major American celebrity to visit Moscow since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.

CNN has reached out to West’s manager for comment.

Several videos have emerged in Russian media purporting to show West and his security guards in Moscow, but he is not clearly identifiable in the footage.

Music producer Yana Rudkovskaya also posted a video that purportedly shows West’s back, as he walks into a room followed by security.

She said, “According to my information, tomorrow he and the team will go and see Luzhniki (stadium).”

The music producer added that she “hopes” he will one day perform there but nothing is confirmed.

Luzhniki Stadium told Russian state media that there is no information about a Kanye West concert set to take place in the capital.

“The information that Kanye West may hold his concert in Moscow is hype and fake, Eduard Ratnikov, general director of the TCI (Talent Concert International) agency, told TASS,” the outlet also reported.

Tucker Carlson mocked over fawning praise for Russian shopping trolleys

Ex-fox news host’s trip to praise increasingly authoritarian and militaristic country comes as strongman leader vladimir putin is blamed for prison death of opposition leader aleksey navalny, article bookmarked.

Tucker Carlson is facing mockery after he marvelled at something overwhelmingly common in Europe – the use of locks on shopping carts – which is also on the rise in the US as European supermarkets expand across the pond.

After his fawning interview with authoritarian Russian leader Vladimir Putin , which came close to becoming a two-hour monologue by the president, the former Fox News host continued his Russian tour to praise the country that has become an international pariah following the invasion of Ukraine.

In a “TC Shorts” video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, Mr Carlson can be seen unlocking a shopping cart at a Russian grocery store.

“All right, here we go. So I guess you put in 10 rubles here and you get it back when you put the cart back – so it's free, but there's an incentive to return it and not just bring it to your homeless encampment. OK!” Mr Carlson said as he grabbed the cart.

He immediately faced mockery for gushing at the practice.

Florida Congressman Maxwell Alejandro Frost said : “Dude has never been to an Aldi’s.”

The German chain of grocery stores operates more than 12,000 shops in 18 countries.

“Fantastic tech advancement! Guess who hasn’t been in an airport anytime in the last 40 years?” musician Chris Stein said .

Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh added : “In other news today, @TuckerCarlson is in a Russian grocery store somewhere in Moscow admiring their shopping carts. It’s been quite a fall for Tucker, hasn’t it?”

Historian Joshua Zeitz said : “It’s been a strange few years, but I did not have ‘Tucker Carlson Defects to Russia’ on my 2024 bingo card. He joins great western patriots like Kim Philby in starting a wonderful, prosperous life in Moscow.”

Part of the infamous Cambridge Five spy ring, Mr Philby was a British intelligence officer and spy for the Soviet Union who after defecting lived in Moscow until his death in 1988.

Former Virginia Democratic House of Delegates candidate Jessica Anderson asked : “Has Tucker never been to an IKEA?? Or any European nation before.”

During his grocery store visit, Mr Carlson said: “If you take people's standard of living and you tank it through filth, and crime and inflation, and they literally can't buy the groceries they want.

“At that point, maybe it matters less what you say, whether you're a good person or a bad person, you're wrecking people's lives in their country.

“And that's what our leaders have done to us. And coming to a Russian grocery store – the heart of evil, and seeing what things cost and how people live. It will radicalise you against our leaders. That's how I feel anyway – radicalised. We're not making any of this up, by the way at all.”

In July 2021, the Russian news agency Tass reported that “more than 60 per cent of Russians spend about half of their monthly income on food”.

The average salary in Russia was 73,383 rubles a month as of November last year – about $793, according to Trading Economics.

How to use a Troika card on Moscow’s Metro, and other ways to buy tickets

Passengers pass turnstiles at the Serpukhovskaya station of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Moscow metro line.

Passengers pass turnstiles at the Serpukhovskaya station of the Serpukhovsko-Timiryazevskaya Moscow metro line.

Moscow residents can now top up their Troika transport cards with the official Moscow Metro app, subway representatives announced on Oct. 31. To put money on the card, passengers simply need to download the app and transfer money via NFC connection. What other ways can you pay for riding on Moscow’s public transport?

Troika card

travel trolley cashback

It’s by far the most convenient option for using public transport in the Russian capital. This plastic card is valid for five years, so you don’t need to throw it away after your trip to Russia. You can ride with a Troika on the Moscow metro, as well as Moscow’s Central Ring, buses, trams, and trolley buses.

One ride costs 35 rubles ($0.6), but if you change transport within 90 minutes you will only pay 19 rubles ($0.33) for the next journey. Further changes within those 90 minutes are free.

You can top up your card with the subway attendants who sit behind the glass panels, automated terminals, or via the special Moscow Metro app . Kiosks accept both cash and cards. According to the Moscow Metropolitan official site, you can only keep 3,000 rubles ($51) on your Troika. If you don’t use up all your credit before you leave Moscow, you can cash in the card and get your money back - but this is only possible to do at Metro Service Centers (Ulitsa 1905 Goda street, 25 or  Staraya Basmanaya Street, 20 bld 1; 8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily).

Your Troika’s balance can be checked on the app or on the small yellow terminals inside the metro stations.

Important point – one card should only be used by one person (the subway’s rules state that every person should have their own ticket). You can also be hit with a fine of 1,000 ($17) if caught riding the underground without a ticket.

How to get a Troika: Get the card in any metro kiosk or automated ticket office. The card is free, but you need to leave 50 rubles ($0.85) as a deposit. You can return it after.

United (Yediny) ticket

This red paper card can have 1, 2, 20, 40, or 60 rides on any kind of Moscow public transport, and the price depends on the number of rides (more rides you buy the less you pay for a ride), from 55 rubles ($0.95) to 28 rubles ($0.48). If you plan to use transport a lot, you can buy a ticket for 60 rides for 1,700 rubles ($30). A ticket for one or two rides is only valid for five days, while other kind of tickets can be used for 90 days.

Muscovites often buy tickets without ride limits for specific periods – 30 days, 60 days, or one year. But Moscow Metro suggest special tickets for tourists – for one day (210 rubles, or $3.6), three days (400 rubles, $6.9) or seven days (800 rubles, $13.8). They also can be used on any kind of public transport. Tourists’ tickets also have no limit for rides.

Another kind of ticket allows one ride on the metro and any number of rides on other Moscow public transport within 90 minutes. The card can be for one (65 rubles, or $1.1), two ($130 rubles, or $2.2), and 60 rides (2,650 rubles, or $46). This card is useful if you have to catch different kinds of transport for a short time.

It’s helpful to add this card to your Troika. Moreover, it will save the paper.

Since late 2016, this system has been available at all ring railway stations and 80 metro stations across the city.

Unique tickets have recently appeared in Moscow. Bracelets, rings, and keychains with transport microchips are not only a souvenir from the Russian capital, but also a serious way to use metropolitan. The deposit price for a bracelet is 450 rubles ($8), for a keychain – 350 rubles ($6). One ring costs 2,200 rubles ($38). The price for a fare is the same as for the Troika card.

How to get it: Only at the Pushkinskaya metro station souvenir kiosk and souvenir shops in the Mayakovskaya and Trubnaya metro stations.

Actually there are other options to inserts transport microchip – for example, in 2015 Moscow engineer Vlad Zaitsev implanted a chip in his hand, so all he has to do is wave at the turnstile and he’s away - but we recommend enjoying Moscow’s transport in a more conventional way.
