FKJ – 2023 U.S. & Canada Tour With Support From Richie Griner

V I N C E N T is his second album and signals a new dawn for FKJ, as an artist who sells out venues across the world and is stepping up to take his place at global soul’s top table. French Kiwi Juice, or FKJ for short, is the moniker of Vincent Fenton, a nod to his Gallic mother and New Zealander father. He grew up in a small French village outside of Tours, isolated from his friends, and so he turned to music for company. He got hooked on his parents’ records by Pink Floyd, Billie Holliday, Nina Simone and Queen, and took up guitar; then, aged seven, the saxophone. “I would play with whatever toys were around, and that helped develop my imagination, and then that evolved into making instruments – I found whatever I could and started putting it together,” he said of his rudimentary one-man bands. That one-man-band mentality has persisted, collecting instruments as he goes, though he’s never been formally trained; instead developing his own ear. Prestigious music colleges were too expensive and so he eventually moved to Paris to study the sound and film, which helped give him grounding in cinematic arrangements. He fell into the city’s nightlife scene, playing live instruments in clubs in Paris, and became known as a Soundcloud producer who blended house and jazz, as on his vibey 2013 Time For A Change EP.

V I N C E N T is a marvel – and testament to the magic that can happen when you dig deep. “This was a challenging record,” he says. “I’m a perfectionist and it’s hard to shake that off. But once I did, and I let the music take over, I felt totally free.”

In support of his highly-anticipated new album  V I N C E N T , out  June 10  via Mom + Pop, French artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist  FKJ  announces his  2022 North American tour dates   – see full list below . The tour launches  Thursday, October 6th in San Francisco  and closes  Saturday, November 12th in Mexico City . Alongside the announcement, FKJ also shares today  V I N C E N T  “In The Making”  – a visual body of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage, giving viewers a glimpse inside the Southeastern Asian jungle where the project was birthed. 

V I N C E N T  is FKJ’s second album and signals a new dawn as an artist in his own right, continuously selling out headline tours across the globe with his acclaimed ‘one-man-band’ live shows, and having over a  billion  streams across all platforms for his music. Singles  “Greener”  featuring  Carlos Santana ,  “Way Out” , and  “A Moment of Mystery”  featuring  Toro y Moi , have all teased the project, allowing FKJ to lean into the child-like innocence of creating music purely for pleasure and has earned him early support from  The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Stereogum, Hypebeast , and more.

The gig was overall good!

The highlights would be the guest artists like Tom Misch.

Even the opening act (Dabeull) was unexpectedly fun!

One downside of the whole experience is that FKJ's voice was very dim. I would've wanted his voice to have more volume to it as I couldn't even hear at times the messages he was saying to the public (despite standing in the front rows).

Would recommend seeing FKJ and supporting artists live but would improve the volume quality.

The concert was simply amazing. It was my first time watching FKJ in live and it was just mind blowing to see how fantastic he really is. Every minute was a pure pleasure. The way he can mix all these instruments and sounds in such a beautiful way is torrific.

If you guys have the chance to watch it, jump on the occasion you will never forget it. I can't wait to see him another time!

Okay first of all...I did NOT realize that this sexy French man could play the saxophone, the piano, the guitar, and the bass...like jesus christ. He proceeded to play all of the above, sometimes at the same time, with so much swag that I couldn't help but swoon. Seriously what an amazing show! I was caught so off guard -- it far surpassed what I was expecting!

Another great FKJ show! This gus is so talented and incredible to watch. The crowd he brings is just as special as his music. If you're ever wondering should I go to an FKJ show the answer is unequivocally YES! Had the best time and danced up a sweat. I will see FKJ whenever he's in my city or any city that I'm in.

He's the truth!!!

FKJ + Masego + (((o))) = aesthetically beautiful experience This is the first event I have not had anyone push or shove being on the floor. The visuals were amazing. The experience was once in a lifetime. Just wish Fkj would come down from the platform and interact with his audience, couldn't have been better!

FKJ was every bit as amazing as I thought he would be, great presence, great choice of songs and amazing mood overall from the crowd! Definitely a success

I also really enjoyed the two opening artists Cézaire and Dabeull who really did a great job getting the crowd to dance and ready for FKJ! #frenchpride

Definitely on my list for all time favorites.

FKJ is super talented and he puts on a great show. Flawless transitions between instruments, well-designed lights/visuals and a rocking crowd made it a memorable show (even on a Sunday night). Equally impressed by the skill on guitar, sax and keys. Will definitely see again.

He was so sweet and humble and magical and put on an amazing show. The screen drop in front of the stage was pretty cool and it was so nice to have a visual accompanying the music.

Also, I loved he was so in the groove that he played three songs for the encore :)
