COVID-19 MEASURES & CANCELLATION POLICY

Covid-19 safety.

Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our clients and crew. Therefore Smart Charter Ibiza has introduced a range of measures to stop the spread of Covid-19.

• Group size limit - the amount of people we can accommodate on board is in accordance with the current government regulations
• All of our captains and crew members are tested regularly for Covid-19 and required to wear a mask throughout each charter
• Every boat is cleaned thoroughly between charters

General Cancellation Policy

The boat is secured with an initial 50% deposit, refundable for any reason up until 45 days before the charter.

The remaining 50% of the charter price together with the average fuel consumption can be paid at the client’s convenience, but must have been received by BSE or AGENT before boarding.

In the case of cancellation or no-show on the day of the charter, the client will lose the full amount paid.

The client is also liable for any cancelation fees related to confirmed add-ons and extras.

In the case of adverse weather conditions such as rain, strong winds and waves, or thunderstorms, Smart Charter Ibiza reserves the right to cancel the charter. In any case, the captain will determine on the day whether it is safe to go ahead with the charter. If it is not possible to reschedule the charter, a full refund will be offered.

Covid-19 Cancellations:

If the client (the person named on the charter agreement) is unable to travel due to government restrictions or has to cancel due to a positive Covid-19 test result, they have the option to reschedule the charter.

Please note that this is subject to availability and that further charges may apply depending on the time of season.

If it is not possible to reschedule, you will receive a full refund on cancellations made up until 48 hours before the charter.

Stap 1 : schrijf ons een bericht  via whatsapp of vul ons formulier  op onze website in. .

Geef aan met “hoeveel personen” jullie zijn en “welke dag” jullie voorkeur heeft om te gaan varen. Vervolgens nemen wij contact met je op om jullie wensen te bespreken.

Op basis van jullie voorkeuren zullen wij een aantal boten voorstellen en uitgebreide uitleg geven over de mogelijkheden. We staan klaar om al jullie vragen te beantwoorden en te helpen bij het kiezen van de perfecte boot voor jullie dag op het water. 

STAP 2 : RESERVEREN & aanbetaling

Zodra jullie een beslissing hebben genomen, vragen we “een aanbetaling” om de boot voor de desbetreffende dag te reserveren. 

Zodra deze is ontvangen, sturen we een bevestiging met alle informatie zoals aanvangstijd, plaats en overige zaken.

Het enige wat je dan nog hoeft te doen, is eventueel een restaurantje boeken, naar de haven komen met de ID (paspoort of rijbewijs) van de hoofdboeker, op de boot het huurcontract te tekenen (verplicht van de lokale overheid) en genieten van een geweldige dag op het water!

Moet ik extra betalen voor brandstof bij het huren van een boot in Ibiza?

Voor de meeste boten geldt dat er brandstofkosten apart worden afgerekend. Bij sommige boten wordt een totaalprijs gehanteerd. Bij het boeken van je boottocht informeren we je graag over de brandstofkosten en helpen we je een helder beeld te krijgen van de totale kosten.

Scotland's pounding raveheart can be heard at Eden

The sound of caledonia clubland this may..

Ibiza, Berlin, London… and Scotland ? When listing global clubbing hotspots, Scotland might not be the first place that comes to mind, but here's why it should.

Our raving crowds are hailed as some of the best when it comes to scaling energy. And as for Scottish DJ exports like Calvin Harris, LF System, Ewan McVicar and Hannah Laing, well, they scale the charts. Now, Eden is set to jump on the tartan hype.

Amongst its  early-season programme are two Scottish takeovers that stand tall and proud like a native thistle. Together, they bring the sound of Caledonia clubland to Ibiza .

First up, Glasgow's Hold On Tight! and Club Serotone get ready to send it with their newly launched party series.  Through the Roof goes back-to-back across 1 and 2 May . 

Night one welcomes Glaswegian heroine Hayley Zalassi  - a former Octan resident no less (as well as a significant contributor to Ibiza's missed flight data!) She plays with standout names Danse Atmos , Groove.FM and Edinburgh lasses SWATT Team .

24 hours later, and with the added bonus of  ACLP 's extensive DJ roster, the party continues.

Resident groovers include Céleste, Dominique, Off Record and dynamic sister duo Kintra  (who pair soul pounding techno with live violin - a must see!)

Then on 5 May , it's over to Edinburgh party brand Elation for a full-blown Scottish showcase . 

Big Miz  (pictured above) plugs in his USB for the night, so expect to hear plenty of collaborative EP Big Miz presents Friends FM in the mix.

The bill continues with Aberdonian duo t e s t p r e s s , Capital Dance's Meg McHugh , Mily B, and Reyka with his elixir of hard grooves, Trance and Breakbeat. 

Elation returns one week later on 12 May , this time delving into darker sonics. 

Extending invitations to international guests  Doruksen , Kitti Kay and Pisapia , Elation also calls on homegrown selectors A-05, Denis Dekay, KMD and  Paul Findlay  who are sure to send the tempo soaring.

As Scots, we might face an occupational struggle pronouncing the name "Carl" and sport is a topic perpetually brought up at your own risk. However, nobody supports their own like the Scots do.

So, expect Scottish friends out in full force, myself included. Here we, here we ...

Beautiful Bergen and beyond, Norway

Bergen is often referred to as “the city between seven mountains” – which encapsulates its blend of culture and nature. Lose yourself in its charming old town, fish markets, galleries and museums, then hike or take a funicular up Mount Fløyen for views and pine forest trekking. Bergen is a great base from which to day trip. Using direct buses/trains, you can go to Gudvangen to kayak across the fjord to your own secluded beach for a picnic lunch, or pop to Voss for its water sports, hiking and farm-to-fork food ( Store Ringheim is my top pick). Car-free calm on Utö, Sweden

Utö in the south-western part of the Stockholm archipelago might just be “utöpia”. We packed a tent and went for a weekend adventure from Stockholm, taking the bus and the Line 21 ferry. Life slows on the car-free island and you discover summer houses, wild strawberries, secluded beaches and swimming spots. We camped at a waterside site , with a view of the south harbour and Mysingen, which has its own beach. An absolute must is a visit to the island’s bakery, Utö Bakgård , to try its cinnamon and cardamom buns. Lizzie Bird

A dream break by Lake Vättern, Sweden

Hjo in Sweden is on the edge of Lake Vättern and provides the setting holiday dreams are made of. You’d feel as if you’d stepped back in time … if it weren’t for the heated outdoor pools, modern play parks and a few antique shops for those looking to uncover a gem. Liquorice ice-cream in a homemade waffle cone is a must at Gula Paviljongen , a wonderful place to sit by the water and take it all in. Kirsty Johansson

Kayaking around Vaxholm, Sweden

We’ve toured Norway, Denmark and Sweden over the last few summers, cycling and using public transport. We love the freedom it brings, and the opportunities it provides to explore cities and their outdoor pursuits. One of our favourites was travelling by commuter boat from Stockholm to the island of Vaxholm, which takes about an hour. It has lovely shops, huge ice-creams and picturesque cafes. We found a small jetty and beach that was popular with swimmers and kayakers. On the day we visited we’d already booked a kayak using Kayakomat , paying online and releasing the kayak and all the equipment needed using a pin code; it cost 398 Swedish krona (£30) for two hours in a two-seater kayak and was a great way to explore the island. Going Viking in Denmark

Ribe, one of Denmark’s oldest towns, has a Viking Centre where you can get an authentic feel of the life of families from more than 1,000 years ago. The town is also a great place for exploring the marine wonders of the Wadden Sea national park and climbing the nearby Marsk Tower to look over the expansive marshes. There’s a campsite and great restaurant by the tower, too. Jacqui

Boat house stay, Norway

My partner and I stayed in a traditional boat house (on Airbnb) in an area called Åsnes Finnskog in Norway, near the border with Sweden. We took a canoe out on Lake Vermundsjøen, cooked over an open fire, sunbathed on the pebbly beach and swam to a nearby island – without coming across anyone over the two nights we stayed. I found a perfect beach in Denmark

In summer, I’ve found Denmark’s sandy beaches to be peaceful and free of sunbeds and hotels blocking off swathes of them. They’re often protected by sand dunes, making them sheltered from winds and perfect for swimming, sunbathing and having picnics of local rye bread, cheese and fresh herring. Hornbæk beach was my favourite of the many I tried last summer: it’s just 90 minutes by public transport from Copenhagen. A morning drink at Albis cafe will set you up for the day. Danes love their ice-creams, and Iskagehuset , just behind the beach, has lovely flavours, made with milk from local cows. Gayle

At one with nature hiking in northern Sweden

My friends thought I was crazy when I told them I was going to the Arctic Circle last summer instead of Ibiza, but my visit to the Sarek national park in northern Sweden was brilliant. I joined a community of hikers and wild campers who were just wandering around, totally at one with each other and nature, happy to share tips, resources, food and life stories as we walked, and then lit camp fires to keep warm in the long summer nights. In a landscape of mountains, forests and streams, there were reindeers, elks, wolverines and kind-hearted Sami people. Much better than getting burnt and drunk on a Spanish island. Bill

Winning tip: Nature under midnight skies on the Åland Islands

The Swedish-speaking but Finnish Åland Islands, in the gulf between Turku and Stockholm, encompass so much of the culture and beauty of Scandinavia. There is idyllic farmland, charming villages and banks of wild lupins in impressionist colours. We cycled to Kastelholm Castle, which has served as a palace and a prison, went birding on Lågskär island and visited the museum ship in Mariehamn harbour. Gorgeous local cheeses washed down with the cold-pressed juice of fresh berries were a highlight, as were midsummer rituals such as the saunas. A wonderful moment was watching swans gliding on a calm sea under light-filled midnight skies. Elizabeth
