Hi! I went with go4explore on their weekend getaway trip to Tirthan valley in the 1st week of May and I'll be understating this when I say that I have met a bunch of amazing people and created crazy amount of memories that I will cherish forever. Kudos to trip captains Prabhjyot & Aaryan for being excellent sports throughout the trip. The homestay, No Society Cafe and Homestay in Shoja was brilliant with their food and interaction and our stay was relaxing. The weather during our trip could've become a hindrance but the captains ensured that the group enjoyed their time there to the maximum by following the planned visits in the safest and enjoyable manner. Special mention to Aaryan for always being there in enjoying with us to the fullest and in helping out anyone and everyone. (Customer satisfaction 100%) Will definitely plan another group trip with go4explore in the near future.

My trekking adventure with Go4 Explorer to Tirthan & Jibhi valley surpassed all my expectations (because, let's face it, not all trekking experiences are comfortable). Our homestay surrounding were breathtaking, with lush green hills & picturesque backdrop, making our stay cozy cool. Secondly, the food was nice which was honestly another big deal, when you are staying out of nowhere surrounded by dense forest & hills. it was great group trip ever, Lastly, it was our cool & calm trip captain, Fahad. He ensured that we do not miss out on any of the stunning places along our trek and helped us capture precious moments to cherish later.

I went on a solo trip to jibhi-tirthan valley with Go4Explore this past weekend. It was my first solo trip, and I didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be the best trip I'd ever had. Throughout the trip, our leader Vinay has been supportive and cooperative. I made lots of good memories to cherish thanks to my group members, team leader Vinay, and the go4explore team. I'll certainly go back again with them.

It was my first time experience travelling with Go4Explorer and it turned out to be pretty good. I decided to take a trip to Tirthan valley once again recently as I could not really explore all of it due to hail storm and sudden weather changes during my first trip to Tirthan valley in March 2022. So, I was a bit skeptical whether I could have enough fun visiting again. And, it was totally worth it. I gained completely a new feel and trekking experience while traveling with Go4Explorer for exploring Jibhi-Tirthan valley, Jalori pass and Serolsar lake. The bus journey, local transport as well as accomodation places were really good and pleasant. Our trip captain (Mr.Rishabh Nag) was the one who put his 100 percent efforts for making this trip worthwhile and memorable for everyone. Rishabh as a trip captain was quite passionate about trekking and photography and at the same time he showed up a good level of patience and skills for dealing with different people joining each other first time in this trip. Rishabh Nag actually seemed to find a balance in enjoying himself while guiding all throughout this entire trekking trip. Since 2021, I started exploring places by trekking trips with WanderOn but this May 2023, I felt a need to switch and look for an alternative. Definitely, Go4Explorer is gonna remain in my list for my future bookings.

It was my first trip with a Travelling Community and I found Go4Explore through Instagram recommendations. I went to Tirthan Valley & Jibhi with Go4Explore. I only had expectations that the accommodation and transportation would be arranged but in actual it was beyond my expectations. I had great time with Go4Explore. Everything was very well arranged. We stayed in No Society Homestays which is an amazing place with an amazing vibe. Our trip was led by Sahil who is an amazing trip leader cum Friend. He made our trip even more fun. I'd recommend everyone to plan their trip with Go4Explore without even a second thought. Looking forward for more group trips with Go4Explore.

Jibhi & Tirthan Valley Damn bro!! Had an amazing time with Go4Explore community. I'm glad they picked the best stay in Jibhi. Sudhanshu is always "full power" and took us to some hidden gems where no other travelers were to be seen. He has great knowledge of the mountains and is quite familiar with the surroundings. Lucky for me that I met the best co-travelers ever. The group was so good in every way possible. People were friendly and easily approachable. The staff of our stay at 'No Society' took good care of us. I highly recommend booking through Go4Explore. It's great for solo and couple to join group trips.

The people, places, food, homestay and trip leader( Sahil) everything were just amazing. Sahil kept us entertained throughout the trip. The homestay was way better than my expectation. This place is way more beautiful than it seems in the pictures.

tirthan valley tour package from delhi

A superb weekend exploring Tirthan & Jibhi. This was my first solo trip with Enlive. The itinerary was carefully thought through and well balanced. The trip represented great travel for the cost. Tirthan Valley is one of the most beautiful locations in Himachal. No more a hidden gem though. We did some beautiful treks to Serolsar lake, Choie waterfall, Mini Thailand. The transport was comfortable, stay in Tirthan was extremely comfortable and food was delicious, it was a beautiful experience to stay in a property located amidst lush green mountains with river flowing next to it. The best part about the trip was our captain Lovelit who took really good care of everything, he was always attentive to the group and always had us laughing. Thanks to Lovelit for making this trip most memorable. Looking forward to more trips with Enlive and Lovelit. Cheers!

Description

Tirthan Valley in Kullu offers unparalleled natural beauty and is counted among some of the most beautiful valleys of Himachal Pradesh. This valley is named after Tirthan River that flows here.

This perennial, crystal clear river draws its waters from glaciers in Himalaya and is full of trout fish. Lying in the far flung mountainous region, Tirthan Valley is a heaven for anglers and trekkers. Tirthan Valley in Kullu Region of Himachal Pradesh is roosted at a height of 1600 meters above ocean level. Getting its name from Tirthan Stream coursing through it, Tirthan Valley lies around 3 km from the passageway of Incredible Himalayan Public Park. This spot is bountiful in courageous exercises and a heaven for nature sweethearts. The wonderful Himalayas with snow-covered tops investigating the Tirthan Valley, this valley is most popular for its trout fishing, traveling, and experience exercises and delightful guesthouses set in nature.

About Tirthan Valley Trek

The Tirthan valley has a lot of covered up pearls thus, it will permit you to appreciate different exercises like unwinding, day climbs, multi day trips or trout calculating.

Best Time for your next Tirthan Valley Trek

The best time to visit the hypnotizing valley of Tirthan is among Spring and June which is the spring/summer season. The climate remains enjoyably cool and is able for investigating widely varied vegetation, particularly the lavish green glades and the apple plantations. The colder time of year season, between November, December, January and February, additionally could be an amazing opportunity to visit the valley, particularly for the individuals who are searching for an area that gets snowfall and can deal with frigid conditions. The storm season starts in June/July and endures till August. The district gets moderate to hefty precipitation and transforms into an excellent area yet isn't exactly helpful for the adventurers as the perceivability diminishes significantly.

Located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, Tirthan Valley derives its name from the Tirthan river, which winds its way through it. The pristine river originates from the icy cold glacial springs of Hanskund, a snow-capped peak in the verdant Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP).

Jibhi - Tirthan Valley is located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh and it’s about 100 kilometers away from Manali and 65 kilometers from Mandi. You will find it before the Aut Tunnel while moving towards Mandi to Manali. The best time to visit the place is from Mar to June. Spring gives the place it’s own beauty and winter gives you a different feel altogether.

The natural beauty of the place is alluring enough, it gives you an offbeat destination taste without bringing you to a remote area. This place not only attracts a young group of people but also families. There are ample amounts of activities to indulge in. However, the place also gives peace and tranquility if anyone just wants to stay at a place and relax from the hectic lives.

Mostly, people visit places like Shimla, Manali, and Mussoorie and because of the same places like Jibhi beauty and one of a kind attraction cannot escape from the world. Manali being the most visited place also attracts tourists to Jibhi.

Places To Explore In Jibhi Tirthan Valley

The valley is full of beautiful places to visit. You may need a week or more to explore and cover the below list:

Chehni Kothi: Also known as Chaini, is a small village best known for the tower made in the 17th century. The story says that the tower was once a 7 storey building but got damaged in an earthquake in 1905 and lost it’s top two floors. The tower is the tallest building (45 m) built in the traditional local architecture in Himachal. This tower is the most famous attraction of Tirthan Valley. It’s 3 kilometers away from Shinrga Rishi Temple. Well again, the roads are not in favor of vehicles hence you need to drop your vehicle, ask around the local people and start walking towards Chehni Kothi.

Shringa Rishi Temple:   This temple is situated in Banjar which is 4 km away from Jibhi. There are two ways to reach the temple; either you can take the stairs through the forest or a steep narrow dirt road of 2 km. Although the walk is very lovely between the pine trees along the devotees carrying flowers to be offered in the temple. The view of the temple is immensely beautiful, the place surrounded by apple orchids and wooden houses. The view is breathtaking as the temple is a three-storey. Shringa Rishi is the ruling deity of Banjar valley.

Great Himalayan National Park: Four valleys of Tirthan, Parvati, Sainj, and Jiwa Nal together form this scenic location. This place is spread in 754 square kilometers and at an average altitude of 1500 to 1600 meters. It consists of 375 species of fauna, 31 species of mammals and 181 species of birds and because of the same, it takes 3-4 hours to reach the gate of this enclosure and it would require a permit if anyone wants to venture further. Many small villages are situated in this area and will give you a taste of natural beauty and wildlife. The place can take 5-6 hours if one wants to single trek a day. On the way back, you will get to cover some amazing viewpoints, waterfalls like Hippo Waterfall. There’s one wooden bridge with a great photography scene near another small waterfall some meters away.

Jalori Pass: It is an altitude of 10,800 ft. One of the least explored passes of Himachal. You can cover it either by road or by trekking. The road is narrow and in bad condition, makes the trek a bit difficult in winters (Jan-Feb).  The road gives the pleasure of adventure to people who love to trek. You can find Serolsar lake and Buddhi Nagar Temple near the same.

Serolskar Lake: This lake is both enticing and mysterious. Some people call it Serolskar, some call it Sirolsker and some call it Serolsar Lake. It is nearby Jalori Pass. The roads are not operational for any vehicle hence one has to walk to the lake. People say the water of the lake has some medicinal properties. The scene will leave you speechless as the water is clear as the sky.

Just after the lake, you will see the temple of “Buddhi Naagin”. The temple is devoted to the goddess of Nagin. You can get to know some amazing story behind this Buddhi Naagin Temple from the locals and it is never a bad idea to get to know the place better than interacting with their people. The trek to the top is known as Jalori Top.

Raghupur Fort: The trek to Raghupur fort which is 3 kilometers away from Jalori Pass. It will take an hour to visit the fort. The view from this place is stunning. Carry our camping gear if this place is on your list to visit.

Chhoie Waterfall: It’s also known as Sai Ropa Waterfall. This is the easiest and common hike and short trek of 30-40 mins that will lead you to a beautiful waterfall.

Gaidhar Waterfall:  This waterfall trek starts from Gaidhar village. It is a beautiful waterfall yet people hardly know as it’s hidden deep in the forest but is stunningly beautiful.

Gushaini Village: This is a small village in Tirthan Valley, located at the bank of pristine Tirthan River and the surrounding is full of greenery. Approx 20 km away from The Great Himalayan National Park.  It is a great place for fishing, is also known as Trout Country of the abundance of the Trout fishes found in the river.

Things To Do In Jibhi

The sightseeings are amazing and beautiful but it’s just not it. There are numerous activities where one can indulge and enjoy or live the place even more. Let’s check out the things which can be done here:-

Trekking: This is the most enjoyable activity in this valley as many of the places required trekkings to reach the final destination. The trek can be done in half-day or full-day depending upon your day-wise sightseeing. As it says, a beautiful view comes after the hardest climb. All the treks lead to very beautiful scenery and the whole valley has very beautiful scenic views.

Rock Climbing: It’s always an adventurous activity and should be done under supervisors and professionals. If you love adventure, you can go for rock climbing as well.

Camping: When it comes to Tirthan Valley or a place near to this location, we all love to do camping. After a full day trek, enjoy and relax in your camps and later do a bonfire near your campsite. The night under the star and greenery will always make one fall in love with mountains over and over again.

Fishing: The Tirthan river is home of trout fish and hence makes this place and fishing a great activity. The river is full of brown and rainbow trout. One can enjoy fishing and later in the evening have a bonfire and fish chips for dinner. Those who do not know fishing, well, let’s give it a try as learning something new is always fun and full of knowledge.

River Crossing: This is by far a very enthusiastic adventure activity. Two poles attached with an iron wire/cable at both sides of a river and they tied you with the cable to cross the river. You slide from one end of the cable and reach the other side of the river, having an experience over the turbulent river underneath.

Don’t you feel like running away from the stressful city and looking for a place of seclusion amongst hills and meadows? Well, the place that you might be looking for is  Jibhi .

Jibhi is an offbeat destination nestled in the Tirthan Valley in Himachal Pradesh that has remained untouched by the buzzing and agitation that city life thrives upon. Surrounded by lush greenery and pine-covered mountains, this small village has beautifully cascading waterfalls, serene lakes, and delicate meadows making this one of the most peaceful places you will ever visit.

Jibhi also deserves praise for preserving its history and culture as Chehni Kothi, a fortified tower that still stands strong, dates back to the 17th century, and remains one of the most popular attractions among devotees as well as travelers.

We know being surrounded by mountains often fills people with a strong desire to climb them so that they can experience the thrill that comes with being on top which is why we make sure that you get to go on a trek during this trip along with other things that you must do in Jibhi like visiting the Serolsar lake, Jalori Pass, etc because these are some of the must-visit places in Jibhi , Himachal Pradesh.

Situated at an altitude of 3,120 meters above sea level, Jalori Pass offers a breathtaking view of the great Himalayan peaks and it’s the kind of experience that leaves a long-lasting impression on your mind and makes you want to revisit the moment again.

The trek to Serolsar lake is an equally rewarding experience that ends with you unraveling the hidden gem that Himachal keeps hidden behind the thick curtain of its Eden-like forests.

To establish a balance between adventure and tranquility on this weekend trip to Jibhi, we also take you for a session of rafting where you get to soar through the sparkling rivers.

Although this quaint village is accessible throughout the year, the best time to visit Jibhi is from November to January as the weather is perfect for getting the most out of this weekend trip.

However, Jibhi also has another charm that attracts nature lovers and that is the abundance of apple orchards that bloom in the valley. However, this phenomenon is reserved for the spring season and if you want to witness the magic of orchard apple trees bearing fruits, then you should visit Jibhi from the month of March to May.

There is more to Jibhi than what meets the eye, it is a scenic and old village that has settled on the banks of the Tirthan river. This gurgling river is a tributary of the Beas river . It serves as an integral part of the culture of Jibhi. Constructed in a Himachali style, the architecture of the place vouches for itself. Most of the houses are built from stone and wood without using cement.

Galgal trees and apple orchards decorate every backyard in the Himalayan village and you can witness the slow-paced lives of people in the way they get on with their daily tasks with the smoke from chimneys blowing early in the morning. Jibhi has slowly become extremely popular among travelers in recent years because of the abundance of peace it has to offer.

However, foreign tourists discovered this gem of a place more than two decades ago. Of course, during that time, there was hardly any infrastructure to boost tourism in Jibhi. On the same note, Jibhi is still not completely commercialized and remains untouched with most of the accommodations being homestays that are run by locals.

The itinerary for the Jibhi Road Trip includes Serolsar Lake Trek which is a high-altitude lake nestled amidst alpine forests. It’s a convenient trek from the Jalori Pass and is surrounded by lush green forests. The trek leads you to the 360º viewpoint which offers a stunning view of the entire valley along with the Pir Panjal ranges of the Himalayas.

Some must-visit places in Jibhi especially if you enjoy mythology and history are Chehni Kothi and Shringa Rishi Temple . Chehni Kothi is only 9 kilometers away from Jibhi and the majority of the distance can be covered by a car. The road comes to an end almost 1 kilometer away from the Chehni tower and from there on, you've to trek towards the Kothi. It is a steep trek but is equally rewarding as the Chehni Kothi is a spectacular structure. An interesting fact about Chehni Kothi is that this structure has withheld many environmental changes for more than 3 centuries. Only in the earthquake of 1905 of Kangra, did it lose the upper two stories. Apart from that, the fort has stood the test of time gracefully.

While exploring this place, you’ll pass the Shringha Rishi temple that lies below Chehni at Baggi village.  Shringa Rishi is a diety mainly revered in the Banjar Valley. He was a great saint of the Ramayana era. The temple is considered to be extremely sacred by the locals. Another famous place to visit is the Sheshnag Temple. Within Jibhi, a short trail will lead you to the Sheshnag Temple. This is situated right in the middle of a beautiful lush meadow.

Just like Shringa Rishi, Sheshnag is another presiding deity of the Banjar valley. Both enjoy their devotees’ following and worship. Thus, the history of Jibhi itself is extremely fascinating and in the present, it is the ideal weekend getaway for most people who are looking to spend some peaceful moments.

Spending time in the serene, green meadows will definitely calm your senses and make your worries fade away. Although it depends on the kind of landscape you prefer, be it green canopies or ivory mountains, Jibhi remains one of the best weekend trips that you can embark upon and can be accessed throughout the year.
